Remaining quiet on his way to the stadium, Jaden continued with his dead and uninterested look. His innermost thoughts wanted to just throw the match and give the victory to Shade. His pride, as well as his promise though, both quelled that thought very quickly.
I promised I’d fulfill all their dreams. Every last one...After everything I’ve done, there’s no way I can just hand her a win…
Already being prepared and steeled for whatever competition might come his way, the man made no adjustments or last minute changes, once they got to the right arena. Walking through the waiting area, he headed out to the field, wasting little time. The massive arena, lights, and the cheering of the crowd did nothing to change his expression. In fact, while he had seemed bored before entering the stadium, now that he was here, Jaden looked like he was on the verge of anger. An intense, focused aggression, that was about to spill forth.
I have to be here, have to have fun...yeah, this’ll be fun…
Approaching his Trainer’s Box, the red coat he wore lifted up in a gentle breeze, revealing even more wear and tear to his clothing on its inside. There was one thing besides destroyed material inside his jacket though. It appeared there were things sewn to a huge portion of the fabric. They were all reminders. These items would never let him forget his monumental promise, as long as he lived.
Shade had already sent out her first Pokemon before he had the chance to. Sizing up her Pokemon, it reminded him back to when he had first lost to Morty. It was so many years ago, but he remembered the event clearly. Since then, he had learned from his mistakes. It would take more than a tricky Ghost Pokemon to break him and his team. Reaching for his own Pokeball, Jaden pulled one off his belt, throwing it into the air. The ball rocketed forth, propelled by his anger induced force, and then popped open with a shimmering white light. Pouring out from it appeared a Rapidash, that immediately upon landing kicked up some dirt by stomping its feet. Fierce flames billowed forth making up its mane, as well as its legs, and trailed off from its legs. The look in its eyes was one that showed fierce resolve, a sign of the many hard fought battles it had been in.
Readying himself for the match, the man could see his opponent’s sick grin on their face. It was very different from the normal looks he saw during battle. In fact, it was strangely unique to him. Enough that seeing it incited more anger inside himself. Do you think you’re important or something? Grinning like that...Fine, I’ll give you everything I’ve got Shade. You want fun? We’ll see just how fun you find this…
Getting the signal that the match was ready, Jaden chose to open with a small taste of the punch his team could pack. “Rapidash...speed up, then give it a Flare Blitz” A mere moment after the lifeless command was ordered, the Pokemon began to gallop quickly. Seeming to pick up speed, the horse moved quicker and quicker, gaining a boost to its quickness from Agility. Very quickly, almost nothing could be seen of the creature, save for the blur of flames from particular parts of its body. Once it had reached a point it felt Froslass would have trouble reacting to, Rapidash barreled towards the ghost like lightning, flaring up and coating its body in flames for a high speed Flare Blitz.
