(Using permission given from Merciless Medic to have Solar Beam hit and knock back the Bisharp. They can determine whether that leaves Bisharp open for Tangrowth to catch it with Power Whip, or evade at their discretion)
Even as his opponent began to snap and enter the same madness with him, Jaden’s savage and sadistic grin didn’t falter. In a way, it felt good. Shade shrill and raspy voice, as well as the laughter, giggles, and tears, only fueled his own twisted mindset. Pushing him further and further into his dark descent.
You think you’ve experienced hell? Wrong, I’m gonna show you hell. You’re gonna meet your worst nightmare...
Power Whip didn’t do any good for catching the now speedier Bisharp, which managed to connect with both its hits. Tangrowth’s defense was solid, but after taking the hits it had so far, the Pokemon was looking pretty worse for wear. Managing to push through though, the Solar Beam was able to land its mark. Even with a grass resistance, a strong attack like that was enough to knock it back, which was what Jaden was waiting for.
“NOW! CATCH IT THIS TIME, AND HIT IT WITH ANOTHER FOCUS BLAST!”
Grunting from exhaustion, Tangrowth powered on to enact on Jaden’s orders. It once again used Power Whip to try and catch the knocked back Bisharp. Needing less time to charge Focus Blast, they concentrated completely on trapping the nimble Pokemon. Once they were captured by the vines, a second and more close up Focus Blast, would hopefully put an end to the round.
Laughing while the Power Whip occurred, the Trainer’s eyes finally locked with his opponent’s. Shade had said a battle wasn’t true pain, but he intended to show her how he planned to make this the worst pain she’d ever experienced.
Then let’s see if she still thinks she can play at being friends…
“So you don’t think a battle can produce true pain?...Then maybe that next attack will have to do more than just knock out your Bisharp…”
Jaden had finally snapped and let everything bubble out. All his anger, pain, sadness, and rage, was overtaking him. He felt little control over himself, as it all poured out, wanting to consume his opponent, and everything around him. Laughing full on maniacally, his savagery was only just beginning.
“BY THE END OF THIS, I’LL LEAVE EVERY LAST ONE OF YOUR POKEMON WISHING FOR DEATH! WISHING THEY’D CHOSEN ANOTHER TRAINER! AND!...”
His face somehow managed to contort from an even more sadistic smile. He wasn’t playing around, and this was no longer a battle, but a full on war.
“I’ll break the last bit of hope you have left. You’ve spent your life, aiming to become a Pokemon Researcher...let’s see what happens when that dream’s ripped right out from under you!”
Whether it served to make her afraid, left her unfazed, or riled Shade up more, Jaden didn’t care. He didn’t care about the tournament, his promises, the only thing he cared about in this moment now, was to make her experience suffering, and the feeling of the only thing keeping you going destroyed. What he wanted was for Shade to feel empty, hollow, and alone.
