Welcome to the Mithos Region!
(Link to RP Thread)This fan-made region inspired by ancient Greece. Here you will discover 150 brand new Pokémon, and meet some of your old favorites. This region operates a bit different from what you might expect. While most regions of the Pokémon world are unified regions, Mithos has not always been so. For centuries, the individual cities of Mithos behaved as their own governments. They formed alliances with and even raged wars against their neighbors. Unity arose only when the people of Mithos were threatened from forces beyond the region. According to legend, a man wearing a red cloak and aided by a Pyroar led the armies of Mithos against invaders from other regions. This inspired the people of Mithos to become a more unified region.
Recently, Mithos has allowed trainers from other regions to enter its boarders. As a Pokémon trainer, you will be able to explore Mithos's many locations, but be warned! Not all people are accepting of outsiders. Team Gnosis - a group intent on preserving the historical and cultural artifacts of Mithos will do anything to keep outsiders from interfering with their work. Team Dynamis - a group intent on advancing technology and industry to propel Mithos into the future is Team Gnosis's greatest rival. However, their suspected involvement in desecrating historical monuments and protected habitats for Pokémon mean that they are no friends of Pokémon trainers. To make matters worse, mysterious Pokémon known as Divine Evolutions are throwing the environment into chaos. Are you ready to brave the wilds of the Mithos Region?
Rules:
As you may have guessed, this RP takes place in a fan made region. In order to join, you must fill out a Trainer Card (i.e. character sheet) below. Each city and town in Mithos has its own set of starter Pokémon. If you wish to play as a trainer from another region, include that information in your bio. You will still receive a starter Pokémon for coming to Mithos even if your character is from another region originally.
You can have no more than 6 Pokémon in your party at any given time. Each Pokémon can learn an unlimited number of moves, however, only four of these can be used for Pokémon Battles {Think of it like the game mechanics}. Please limit the use of TMs and Egg Moves and try to keep it reasonable. I doubt your character carries an endless wad of cash in their pocket. Your Pokémon can re-learn any learn set moves at the nearest Pokémon Center.
Your character may possess any Pokémon from the current National Dex except for the following:
- Gen 1-9 Starters (excluding Pikachu and Eevee) *These will be made available via a special event
- Ultra Beasts
- Paradox Pokémon
- Legendary Pokémon
- Mythical Pokémon
- Gimmicks (ie. Mega Evolution, Dynamax, Gigantamax, Z Moves, Terrestrialization)
Other than that, basic RP entiquitte applies. Be kind to each other. If you create multiple characters, be sure you keep track of them. I personally don’t recommend more than three major characters per person. Minor characters and NPCs do not require a Trainer Card. If your character runs into a family member, rival, or villain team grunt as a “pop-up” or inciting incident do not fill out a Trainer Card form. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to discuss them here.
