How about this: if you sign up, you have a better chance to get the gym leader to free up time for you, if not it might be more difficult.
Or if you haven't mentioned it prior to getting a gym badge/challenging gym leader it can be implied/assumed that they did? Just a thought.
Yeah I do think it will be fine. I do not mind if it is a sign up thing. Though in Galar it is mandatory, not so much in other regions.
Considering we are still on day one the characters could have easily signed up prior to the RP began.

Well that would be up to you and emo. I'm just going to go full kanto team in kanto, johto pokemon in johto, and so on (excluding riolu). But it's really up to you, and emo's limitations.

I'm going to stick to magby and cubone in kanto ,and get slugma later on route 16. If we go to Johto after Kanto I'll just keep the same three pokémon.
Well like I saud before. Pokemon can be caught within reason. I will say that I loved the post.

They asked about if they had to sign up for the league challenge. Sera didn't know because she didn;t do it.

Probably not far into Veridian, as they were about half way on route 1 before that. If you need a way to introduce her into the group, you can have her recognize Akira, as his style if pretty unique to him.
Oof. This post might take a while, because she needs to go to the Viridian pokecenter first to pick up her things... so the others just went right through.... wait, are they just inside Viridian CITY or Forest?
City. They were just on route 1 after all.

Where is everyone's characters at the moment? Just trying to get a grasp of the time inside the RP. I know Ben and Neo are in Viridian Forest, Amethyst, I believe, is at the Viridian Pokemon Center, Charlie is at the Pewter Gym, and Poito is at the Pewter Pokemon Center. Of course, correct me if I'm wrong.
Yup, Poito is at the Pewter Pokemon Center, but it's been three days since he left Pallet Town.
Alex and David are at the Professor's Lab.
And Anethyst just bumped into Akira and Fred on the border of Viridian.
I think Fritz(Friedrich) is in the pokécenter(Viridian City) assuming Akiea is still there as Fritz is tagging along.
Oh. I thought they were just inside the city from route 1...
It's fine. Maybe she was just so happy to see her friend Akira that she didn't notice Friedrich. Very much possible.

She’s wherever they are, and she did see him. Doesn’t recognize him, though. And I don’t think you could term Akira and Amethyst as ‘friends’. XD
