a pokemon as a human cosplayer? Never really thought of that either, that would look interest- wait! Has my avatar already got a being of kung-fu Christmas? Either way, you still are very original in your work.
Rayn: I'm obsessed with helix designs, and a plant/lightning helix just seemed very appropriate here.

Curled up Mari is super cute, and I'd say you've got the head-shot down pretty good. I've been curious... ever tried drawing Mari's face from a slightly different angle, more looking forward but not completely? I know you hate drawing that view, but it'd be interesting to see marking-wise. Just a thought ^^

Tried a hell of a lot of times, actually. I just can't get her face right in these sorts of angles. ;-;
It's okay not to be perfect, though! I'd still love to see it even if you did feel it was wonky ^^

Electa-Panther = Win.
Awesome use of shadow/lighting. It adds a Panther-like element to the picture, and along with the glow gives the whole image a mysterious feel. I'm also liking the subtle colour fades, like the greens and yellows in the glow, they're a nice touch.
I love your latest Mari pictures too, especially the one where she's holding a flower. Awesomeness as usual ^^

Your ability to draw realistic Pokemon is awesome. I really have no other way to describe it, thats how awesome you and your drawings are.
I'm loving the role reversal, you're right, they still look adorable. I love your drawing style, I really do. Mari's hair = win

PROJECT MIATO STUFF! on the left you have Synapsaber, a Ground/Ghost type based on larger Gorgonopsid species. On the right you have Saberage, a Rock/Fighting type and one of Miato's extinct, resurrected-from-a-fossil PokéMon.
All they have in common is the fact they both have saber teeth. But I figured they'd look awesome in a picture together so why the desu not really.

Synapsaber is just made of so much win for me. The name, the typing, the look, oh god the look is so wonderfully Gorgonopsid. It is just such an awesome idea altogether.
And yes, why should fossil Pokemon leave out the awesome extinct mammals? Saberage would be an awesome addition to the already fiercely clawed fossil Pokemon family (minus Omanyte and Lileep of course) and the first mammalian representative. I'm not entirely sure the legend exists in real life, or if my twisted mind just thought it up... Mrow.
Yes they are semi-transparent and the bones kinda glow.
Speaking of Miato, here's a picture I've been wanting to draw for a while - a battle between Empoleon and Miato's resident Ice/Fighting Penguin's final form, Pengladius.
All official starters in one massive group pic of awesome ^^

She does look vicious, and I adore her nickname. I'm sure I'd be dead right now for the insult, were it not for the
trainer loyalty ^^;
I think the legend of people dying at sea and becoming Dolphins is believed by a few tribes, though I can't bring them to mind right now. I've certainly heard it mentioned a few times, and I'm sure I watched a documentary once about a fishing tribe in the amazon, who upon catching a River Dolphin by accident would immediately set it free again and mutter weird little sayings. They said, if I remember that they believed that the River Dolphins were the dead members of their tribe and that killing them would be bad luck.
Now, about the actual art ~ Synapsaber and Saberage both look awesome, though I think Saberrage is my favourite. I think it's his mane. I like the markings on Synapsaber though, he's a cutie ^^
Dolphantom is a stroke of genius, the bones showing through is a spooky idea and really works. Just shows how great you are with anatomy.
Fight of the Penguins! I don't like the Piplup line at all, so I'm rooting for Pengladius, who looks epic. Head crest for the win.
Your starter group picture is so full of cuteness! It's nice to seem them all together, having seen them scattered throughout your thread. Bulbasuar is my favourite out of the bunch, but they all have a charm about them. Nice work on getting them to all fit together on one picture XD
The role reversal is so adorable! Seriously, your grasp on anatomy is amazing. I'm still loving Mari's hair.

It's funny... looking at all of them together and realizing that, even if they're all awesome in their own way, I know exactly without a doubt which one I'd pick. The second I saw the picture, I mumbled out loud, "I choose you - Bulbasaur!"
I love Charizard, Blaziken, Turtwig/Toterra and Treecko... but Bulbasaur is Bulbasaur. Nothing can beat its nostalgia for me x3

Exactly my opinion. Besides, I never liked the Piplup line to begin with. It looks too weird and it is not the best type because it's weak to both of the other starters.
Speaking of starters...OMGHOLYCRAP that is so godly!! Oh I had a hard time deciding which is my favorite. First I picked Cyndaquil because Cyndaquil always has been my favorite, then I saw the little blue alligator with those lil snappy jaws and then (since Middy called dibs of Cyndaquil) I said: "That Totodile's MINE!" I seriously am in love with reptiles way too much. XD
Like before, Stel and Mari are just so adorable! It's just so cute and makes you want to jump in the hug. I personally like this pic better because you can see the Stel-ish marking much better, and it shows how tall Electabuzzes really are.
