Ask to Join Sword Art Online: A New Disaster(RP)

Cosmic was waiting for people to ask him to a group. However, being the impatient person he was, he decided to go looking around for people. He saw a couple of people like him. "Guess I should ask them," he thought. Cosmic scooted over to someone with a cloak. "Hey. You got left out, too huh? Nice cloak, by the way. Do you, by any chance, want to be in my group?" he asked. He wasn't that good at making new friends, so the moment was a bit awkward.

 

[Dapper_Cat]

"Name's Dapper_Cat. A pleasure, Lexi." Dapper_Cat greeted. He turned his gaze back to the manual. He nodded in confirmation to himself. "Koop's right, the player who gets the final blow on the 'Kobold Lord' gets a special item. So, best of luck to whoever wants to get the final blow." Dapper_Cat said. "By the way, if you all want, you all can just call me D.C. for short."

"Name's Rose, nice to meet you." Rose said with a smile, introducing herself after both Koop and Dapper_Cat did. Besides, she felt that the sooner they referred to each other by name the better.

 

[~Patriot~]

"So," Casys said talking to the whole group, "How are we going to do this thing? It says in the manual that the Kobold Lord switches from an axe to a nōdachi once it's health drops below 1/3." Casys continued, now talking to Rose, Koop, and Dapper_Cat. " What are your weapons? I use a Reinforced Steel Long Sword."

 

[Grand Master Koop]

Koop grabbed his spear from his back. "Reinforced Steel Spear, gives plus 13 attack, I upgraded it from my Steel Spear that only gave 8 attack with the iron that the Frenzy Boars dropped." He explained as he leaned his spear on his shoulder.

 

[Yaspen]

Ari showed her trident. "Guess a Reinforced Steel weapon isn't too uncommon," she said, a joking tone in her voice. "It does plus twelve damage."

 

[Grand Master Koop]

Koop laughed a bit at Ari's comment. "Yeah, Reinforced Steel is probably the best you can get on this floor." He said. He looked at the gathering and smiled at how many people are motivated to clear the game.

 

[Fishykarp]

"Sure," Will reached out to shake Cosmic's hand, "Will. I mean that's my name, not saying i will. But I will, i mean i am Will, i mean what"
It was quite ironic actually, to be worried about sounding stupid when you were literally about to charge into a lair of near-certain death, but Will was

"You're name is Will? No offense, but it's a bit weird to say your real name," Cosmic replied. Then he looked at the name above him. "Especially since your username is SMRPG64. Is it even your real name?" he asked suspiciously. "Never mind, it's glad to know I have at least one team mate," he said. Then, he looked at someone with a blue and black jacket. "They seem alone, wanna ask them if they want to join our group?" Cosmic asked. He proceeded to get up from his seat in case 'Will' agreed. "This game sure seems to be getting more and more interesting," Cosmic thought.

 

[MellowMarshmallow]

Violet saw people starting to congregate with their friends and decided she should join a party, or at least have a partner. Luckily she didn't have to do very much, she saw a couple of people heading over in her direction.
"Hi, I'm Vokami, can I join your group?" She asked quietly.

 

[Yaspen]

Lexi smiled, looking around for a second. "I'm really hoping we beat this thing, the sooner we get out of this death trap, the better."

 

[Dapper_Cat]

"Right. I use a quarter staff." Dapper_Cat informed as he took out the staff in question. "Plus ten damage. Doesn't do as much as your guys' weapons, but it's usually faster so I can deal more damage in a short time." Dapper_Cat stated as he gave his staff a few demonstrative twirls.

"I use a good ole fashion bow & arrow. Does plus 5 damage per arrow. Less than each of your weapons. But I can load multiple arrows per shot and fire at a pretty rapid rate. Plus some distance makes up for it." Rose said, showing off her weapon just like both her party members had done.

 

[JacobRaze]

"I'm not late am I?" Jordan ran into the center. "Did the meeting end? Aw. I trained for nothing." he brooded, kicking a rock. He bad been training and grinding for a good sword all day. "I'll try again on floor two."

 

[Fire Mana]

Parker had decided that if he was going to survive this damned game that he would do it alone. He wasn't going to rely on anybody else to keep him alive, after what happened to his partner he knew that he didn't want to be responsible for another persons life and he didn't want other to protect him either. The only reason he had followed this group was because he knew he could never beat the boss by himself. As soon as he got to the second floor he would split off and do his own thing again. For the time being though, he figured he should stay with them.

Will looked at Cosmic, "when you're stuck in a death game, the normal rules of cybersafety probably don't apply" he said, before turning and noticing Vokami, "hello, of course you can, we still need three more people."

Then, noticing Jordan, quickly went up to him and said, "no, you aren't too late. We still have a few spaces we need to fill on our group."
That left one last person, Will scanned the area and saw Parker, walking up to him. "Hello, my name is Will, and we need one more person to join our group. Would you be interested?"

"Groups? Whats with the groups?" He qustioned. "I was out training. Is it a raid?" Jordan was dying to try out his new sword skill. "I'll join the group, but i wanna meet other people around."

 

[Fishykarp]

Will nodded, "somebody found the room for the first boss, and we're going to attack it. We're splitting into groups, some to defeat the boss and some to take care of its minions." Will explained

 

[JacobRaze]

"Do we get to fight the boss? Hopefully so. If i grinded for days i want to get something out of it. Im gonna get acquainted with the others." He began walking towards the other groups.

 

[Fire Mana]

Parker couldn't believe he was already asked to join a group. "H-Hi" he stammered "I guess I would be willing to join a group, and if possible could I join the group going after the actual boss?" Parker figured he might as well make his talents useful to the people here and take on the boss.

 

[Yaspen]

(Timeskip to sunset, and just a refresher: both groups are attacking the boss. Tagging people: @Dapper_Cat @Vokami_Plays @Sarah316 @Koopa6000 @JacobRaze @Mr Fishykarp @ManateeMike @ScorchPlayz. For now, just assume that Leon is in the party with four.)

The large group stood outside the boss room door. Leon was in front. He looked back to everyone. "We'll take a quick break, does everyone have teleport and heal crystals on them?"

Lexi sat down on a boulder. "Damn, that was a hike," she said. Too bad she had a C- in Gym.

 

[JacobRaze]

"Wait, we were supposed to bring crystals?" Jordan sighed. "Maybe i should stay back, i don't want to risk death." He said, looking down, embarrassed. "I spent all my time training."

OOC: I'm going to do some things before the timeskip... because we missed some stuff. Like our names. XD

"Nice to meet you, Vokami. I'm Cosmic and this is... Will" he explained. He was slightly confused by the unknown voice and turned around. "I don't know, I'll ask the person that's strategizing the raid soon. By the way, the person that offered you to join our group. I'm Cosmic and this is Vokami," he said gesturing to her. Cosmic heard another person Will introduced himself to and sighed. "Like he said, he's Will. I'm Cosmic, and over here are Vokami and... well I don't know his name yet," he said pointing at the others. Cosmic turned once more to look at Leon. "Can we be a group who fights the boss?" he asked. Leon turned to the familiar voice."Nice to see you again, Cosmic. As for if you can fight the boss, sure, as long as you want to," Leon told him. Cosmic turned to Jordan and said,"I hope that answers your question."

Timeskip...

"Don't worry, you'll be fine," he told Jordan. "As for the crystals, I brought extra," he said trading the crystals to Jordan. "If anything, your training should be a reason to be on the front lines. You're skilled if you trained," Cosmic remarked. He turned to look at the group. "We can do this! But I just have one question. What are your names?" he asked looking at Jordan and Parker.

 

[Fire Mana]

Parker held up his crystals silently to the others as proof he had them. "I guess I'm ready to go in when everyone else is..." he grabbed the glaive off his back and held the long handle in one of his hands using it to support his weight.

 

[JacobRaze]

"Thanks...Jordan. Im a Speed-Specialist. It sounds cool so i call myself that." Jordan joked. "Front Lines....I guess that's cool. Maybe i'll do that. Eave the lives of everyone who is to scared to fight. I used to be like that."

 

[Fishykarp]

Nerves coursed through Will like streams of water (i'm not good at metaphor), it was time, he was about to face the boss. If he messed up even a little, he might very well die, but it was far too late to turn back now. He checked his knives and crystals, he wasn't getting any second chances, he decided he was ready.

"Maybe, but at least we get some rest. Plus I've got some crystals on hand." Rose said to Ari, showing some of her teleport and heal crystals in her palm.

Given the situation we're in, these babies are life savers. Got enough for everybody and then some.

 

[Dapper_Cat]

Dapper_Cat held up a teleport crystal for proof. "Got some. I'd say I'm locked and loaded, but this game don't got firearms." Dapper_Cat quipped before he put the teleport crystal away. He drew his quarter staff in one hand and twirled it. Dapper_Cat looked back to his party members. "Remember, if any of you are having trouble, let me know and I'll be right there. Our objective is to take down the boss, but my priority one is making sure the four of you nerds make it out alive. So don't hesitate to ask for backup. If you're on the verge of death, do not risk it. Teleport the hell outta there." Dapper_Cat said. He hoped the party missed how he excluded himself from his priority list.

 

[Yaspen]

Lexi nodded. "I think I'm gonna try and go for the legs, try and trip it so you guys can get a better chance to attack," she told her party members. "I'm definitely gonna have one of these things handy. I almost died once," she said, glancing at Casys, "and I'm not letting that happen again."

 

[Fire Mana]

(OOC- Confused as to which party I belong to, if somebody could clarify that would be much appreciated!)

"I'm strong and pretty fast so I'm just gonna take all the shots I can get." Parker announced as he readied his glaive into a combat stance. He knew he would mostly be making some jabs and maybe a few slashes at the thing, he wanted to play it safe. Parker moved his way up closer to the front of the parties and prepared himself mentally and physically to enter the bosses chamber.

"If im fast enough, it won't be able to hit me. I'll go all out." Jordan took a breath. He knew one mistake could mean his death, but speed was the only way he could fight. Just like real life, there is no Reset stats option

 

[Grand Master Koop]

Koop looked at Dapper_Cat and smirked. "Don't worry, we know how to take care of ourselves." He said. "Beside, who appointed you the role of leader?" He asked jokingly.

 

[~Patriot~]

Casys gripped his Sword in anticipation, going over all his skills in his head. Horizontal: Swing left to right. Vertical: Up to down. Uppercut: Swing upwards. "I'll rush in and block the boss's attacks, keep him distracted while you guys do your thing. Casys looked to Lexi and gave her a sympathetic grin. "We can do this!"

 

[Dapper_Cat]

"Consider it a temporary in-the-heat-of-the-moment thing." Dapper_Cat shrugged with a grin. "Just thought I'd put that out there A needed precaution." He added. He continued to twirl his staff in his hands out of boredom. He looked back at his party. Lexi, Casys, Rose, and Koop. He planned on making sure all four of them made it out of the boss room. He gave them all a grin. "I'll move around the boss and keep hitting him with fast strikes, try and keep him distracted between all of our attacks. You nerds got all your equipment ready, then?"

Cosmic grinned at the people surrounding him. "Sounds good guys. This boss is as good as dead if we use our skills. I'll just dodge attacks and hit him. Sounds easy, right?" he said. Cosmic continued walking until he reached the door. He got next to Parker and smiled. "Well we're here. To every group, I just want to say, even if you don't know me... let's try our best and beat this thing!" he shouted. Cosmic wanted to get everyone full of energy in order to beat the boss. Hopefully, his shouts would help.

"For honor!" Casys shouted, feeling kind of foolish but at the same time feeling...inspired. The groups here were strong. The players were strong. And most importantly, he was strong. Casys drew his Sword, its silvery steel edge glinting in the faint light of the dungeon. He activated a sword skill, Uppercut, and prepared to rush the boss.

"Locked and loaded. I'll provide support fire and focus on the joints. And the eyes, especially the eyes." Rose said with a smile, with this group she felt confident in their chances to defeat the boss. That is if individual ego doesn't screw everything up, but in this life and death situation she doubted that attitude would last.

 

[JacobRaze]

"You have my sword." Jordan said. He played strategy of speed. He looked up. "If i die, i wont be mad. Or sad. At least i helped you guys move on."

 

[Yaspen]

Lexi gave a good-humored grin at Casys and was about to shout something as well when Leon signaled for the group's attention. "Let's go kill a boss!" he shouted, pushing the door open. The thundering sound of footsteps echoed as they moved into the boss room. The only sounds louder were shouts and Lexi's heart pounding away in her chest. Fortunately, only she could actually hear the latter. The boss, in her panicked state Lexi somehow remembered its name was Illfang the something, turned around and gave a thunderous noise. Minions spawned in, quickly attacked by the parties in charge of doing so. Lexi charged, fueled by adreneline, and jabbed at Illfang's legs. This took down a little bit of HP, but it was mostly supposed to cause it to either loose stamina or be distracted. Both happened, and the boss went to attack Lexi and almost tripped, creating an oppurtunity to strike for whoever could take it.

 

[Dapper_Cat]

As Lexi charged ahead and distracted Illfang, Dapper_Cat took the chance and charged forward right behind her. As Illfang attempted to slash at her, Dapper_Cat sent his staff to deflect the Kobold Lord's weapon away from Lexi. He then dashed all around Illfang, hitting the boss wherever he could. Just gotta keep hitting it. Dapper_Cat thought. As Illfang tried to send his weapon down on him, Dapper_Cat used his staff to push himself back, out of range.
