Finally got my character bio filled out-
Got kind of carried away when writing in some places, sorry not sorry-

Name: Kyra Riwar
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Desire: "I want to become a strong warrior"
Faction: Selva
Rank/social standing: Warrior in training

Appearance: Kyra stands 6ft (180 cm) tall with a toned, semi muscular and just generally athletic build. She has terracotta colored skin due to both the warm environment of Selva as well as spending the majority of her time outside, which is mostly due to her training. Her skin is dotted with freckles and has a birth mark dotted on her left cheekbone. Other identification marks on Kyra is that she has a number of scars through out her body, but most of them not too notable and their origin seeming to vary between slashing and plain miscellaneous. She has a square-ish face together with a hooked nose and orange eyes, which are somehow described to lit up whenever Kyra engages in a battle. She has curly, raw umber brown hair that is usually seen up in a ponytail. When her hair is down it reaches slightly past her shoulders.

Due to her rank as a warrior in training, Kyra isn't usually seen wearing anything else than the typical Selvan warrior uniform. When not wearing it for a reason or another she has honestly quite typical Selvan commoner clothes. It consists of a light green sleeveless crop-top, a blue draped vest with indigo dyed edges and some light yellow as some added decoration. In addition she also wears extremely baggy brown pants, which seem to be very common in Selva.
KyraRef-2.png

Personality: Kyra is a determined young lady who rarely gives up easily when she truly sets her mind to it. She is considered to be well mannered, knowing how she should address and talk to her elders and those in higher ranks than her. She has earned a considerable amount of respect around her with the other 'warriors to be', though some are jealous of her skill and commitment. She is incredibly loyal to the causes and people she trusts in. She is very hard working, which only has magnified after acquiring her brontea core.

Sadly she doesn't do much of anything outside of training, fighting, taking care of equipment and the usual chores on the Selva training grounds, so she usually ends up doing one of the previously mentioned tasks again/more and as a result doesn't have much of a social life. In a casual setting she is quite awkward and usually ends up kinda just standing there silently until she just slinks away to do something else (which is usually training related).

Tech: A short staff which can also turn to a whip

Kyra was born to, what would be considered in Selva at least, to the middle class. She had no siblings growing up and no father to mention of so it was mostly just her and her mother growing up. Young Kyra grew up idolizing the warriors of Selva and had the mindset of "only the strongest will succeed" drilled to her mind already then. Her mother wasn't anything to write home about, well she did provide food, a roof on top of her daughters head and other basic needs, but was never quite the loving mother that one might expect. She did however teach Kyra how to navigate the Selvan wilderness and what is forgeable as well as how to hunt since she was apart of one of the many hunter group of their village. It wasn't a glamorous job in the eyes of their community, but it brought food to the table and slightly some more.

Some time before Kyra turned 13 she expressed the interest of joining the Selvan warrior program, which her mother agreed to let her join (think of this as kind of knight training versus a common foot solider training), as unbeknownst to Kyra her mother allowed her on the basis that she could finally send away the child she never quite wanted. Her mother was never considered a gifted fighter or a warrior she felt the social pressure of bearing a child that would become one.

Some time after Kyra's 13th birthday and some help from her mother to train when she had time to with the little knowledge of combat she had, though Kyra definitively tried to train on her own to. They travelled together to the capital together with other women and their children, who wished to one day become one of the praised warriors in their country. Much like how other things are decided in Selva, the girls had to prove themselves through combat or through other displays of their combative skill. Kyra went with the first option, as she had no special skills she could show (honestly I might make a written work detailing this more or it be explained/told during the rp since the backstory was getting beefy if I included that here). When Kyra heard she'd been accepted, she was stunned to hear it. She was sure she failed, as she was beaten fairly in the exam. Twice. She pleaded for a second chance and had been given it she was beaten again. She would've begged for a third, but wasn't permitted it.. Somehow though, she was accepted.

Kyra took this as a sign to work hard to earn the chance she'd been given, to fulfill her want of becoming revered warrior. Immediately after she moved to the capital to be apart of her training she began to work hard, trying to push herself to do better each time. Her dedication was eventually noted by the higher ranked supervisors with one of the women, Eldar began to mentor the dedicated young lady. It wasn't that clear in the start, but Eldar seemed to clearly push Kyra harder than any of the other girls there. One might say to test her possible apprentice and how far she was willing to go. Kyra always accepted the challenge, clear that she wanted to prove herself capable and when she failed it only seemed to fuel her want to improve.

As time passed, Eldar was clearly putting a lot more effort and care into Kyra than in any of the other girls there. Even giving her her own weapon to use which was the whip with the ability to turn into a short staff and vice versa. Even with the harsh training, Kyra's mentor seemed to only add fuel to the fire with her rare words of encouragement and "tough love" style of mentoring and always trying to push Kyra a little more. After the warrior to be had found her brontea core, this has only intensified and Kyra clearly sees this as Eldar only wanting the best for her. Even if this has resulted in Kyra getting injured even with her new gift.

Brontea Bio
Appearance
: An emerald style cut gem has inserted itself on Kyra's back. On the spine between her shoulder blades. The gem is teal and it seems to shift between more green tinted and blue depending on how the light reflects off of it.
Category: Internalization

Ability: Regeneration - Relates to how Kyra, even when beaten down, she still tries to get up no matter what due to her strong fear of failure.

a quick explanation to how her power works) It takes energy and stamina to use her power and seeing that she didn't get her core too long ago this is still something Kyra needs to work on. Cuts and other similarly smaller injuries heal in seconds and won't leave a mark (usually), while any larger bodily harm takes longer and drains a lot more energy , with limb regrowth (like arms or legs) having the highest stamina cost. An example of how Kyra's power works is that if she had ex. a finger cut clean off, she can grow a new one to replace, but placing the limb back so the body works as well and costs less energy to do so. Something to note too is that she needs to be alive for her power to work.

It was only a while after Kyra had turned 19 and Eldar had called her to do some late training in the evening. In the young woman's mind it didn't seem like anything out of the ordinary and she just went along. After all she did not wish to disappoint her mentor.

When Kyra arrived to the agreed upon meeting place she was surprised to find out what her task was. To go out into the Selvan wilderness at dusk, almost night time and to go out there alone. While it wasn't an unheard practice to use the natural environment's of Selva as training grounds it was rare for it to be done at night, let alone to go out there alone.

Kyra was clearly unsure about this, but after some talk from Eldar, a few words of encouragement even, Kyra accepted the challenge. It was as simple as to go down to the ground and find a particular flower, but the young woman was well aware of the dangers lurking down bellow. Her weapon in hand and an extra scimitar for good measure and so Kyra began her track to find the wild flower in the jungle of Selva. She was careful with where she stepped, trying to be methodical with her search to try and find the flower as soon as possible. The wilderness was ruthless however. Dangers lurked at each turn. Poisonous and carnivorous plants, steep cliffs difficult terrain, not to mention the wildlife. Things seemed to go decently, considering Kyra's circumstances until the young woman stumbled upon a dangerous beast. The beast was clearly upset that she was trekking on it's territory, but Kyra she needed for her task. Her want to complete the task outshone her rational thinking and her plan was to take the flower before making her escape. It was far from easy as the beast large and strong and it could easily take her out if she wasn't careful. Kyra did her best to evade the thing's attacks, while putting up a fight, slowly circling towards the flower as the two fought and eventually she was close enough to grab it hastily. She made her escape, but was wounded and tired from the fight with the beast. It was a grueling escape as the beast chased behind her, but soon she was backed against a corner, or rather a cliff. Seeing that there was no other chance of escape than jump down into the river bellow and so Kyra jumped. She landed into the river relatively unharmed, but it was a difficult swim to the shore with the slight current combined with her gear she was wearing. The beast did not follow and it was nowhere to be seen when Kyra looked warily around. Looked like it was content with having her out of it's territory.

Examining her surroundings it looked like Kyra was safe for now, but she had lost where exactly she was in relation to the capital, but she had completed the first part of the task. Now she just needed to get back.. somehow. She was beaten and injured and the young tried to stand up but her body was exhausted from the earlier escape and instead she fell back down. She tried to mumble herself quietly things to motivate herself and it was then when she was struck with an odd sensation. It felt like something was calling her, but there was no voice calling her. Only way Kyra could describe it was the raw feeling of intuition that was telling her to go and exam the river shoreline. She put the crumpled and wet flower down as she followed her gut, going back to the water, turning over a heap of rocks until she found it. Tontrium. Well, Kyra didn't quite realize it at the time, but she reached out to it, the shining substance absorbed into her. An over whelming sense of revitalization as well as exhaustion took over her mind and she staggered backwards, at the brink of falling unconscious, but somehow had the strength inside of her to keep going. She did take a slight break to gather her thoughts of what happened. Was it just her exhausted mind playing tricks or was it a plant with hallucinogenic spore? After her brief rest she began her trek back to the training base and it was surprisingly less hectic, though Kyra had to still watch where exactly she was stepping. Eventually she returned to the treetops that she called home where Eldra waited, surprised that her apprentice seemed to be in better shape than what she expected, but it was clear that Kyra was beyond exhausted, almost ready to collapse when she returned. The warrior-to-be quickly got the help she needed, though many marveled that she had managed to survive the jungle of Selva without any further injuries. It didn't take long for Kyra to realize that she didn't return with only a flower in hand, as now she had a brontea core that had made it's home on her upper back.

Evolution: Yet to acquire Affirmation - Her mindset of achieving her desire turns from "Get up and try again" to "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger".
When she's been injured in a major way (ex. if a limb was cut off) it would regenerate, but now be enhanced, mainly in strength.

Evolution: N/A as of now, but we'll see
Excited to see the applications of her power, accepted!

Name: Baron Borstov
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Desire: "I wish to cleanse the world of those who would hurt my friends"
Faction: Exignis Empire
Rank/social standing: (Lowest rank in military)
Appearance: Baron has pale brown short curly hair. Fiery brown eyes, especially noticeable when he's angry. He's fairly tan stands at 5'8" ft. He has a squared jaw and a slightly crooked nose. He's of average size and fairly muscular.

He wears a tight lapis blue shirt with a loose walnut brown short sleeve hoodie on top with wavy white lines(Unzipped). He wears leather pants with tactical knee and elbow pads. He wears thick faded light brown timbs work boots with added protection on the bottoms of his shoes.
He has a necklace with waves roughly carves onto it that his father wore when he was a boy.
Personality: Baron is a very optimistic boy who wears his emotions on a sleeve. He's friendly and tries his hardest to look out for others. Baron wants to be able to see the best in everyone, and takes a lot of things very personally. When being overly optimistic proves to be a mistake, Baron takes this especially personal, which leaves him feeling spiteful and vengeful. He's oftentimes aware of this and oftentimes regrets his decision making when he's enraged even if her were in the right.
Tech: A pair of binoculars.
Backstory: Baron's father was a ranking soldier in the Forentvilles army. A man named Brahn. Brahn was a sergeant that was oftentimes ordered to lead small groups to defend key targets to strengthen against the Exignis Empire. His mother was a nurse who tended to hurt soldiers. She would later on become a school teacher.

Baron grew up in a small town in Forentville. He had friends and classmates Who had friends or loved ones harassed by the various mobs of Forentvilles . Baron saw the effects the mafia of Forentvilles had on innocent people, and hated it.

One day Baron decided to relax at the home of one of his friends. It wasn't a big deal as they had done this various times before. Baron and his friends were on the second floor staring out a large window watching birds fly by. That and complaining about life.

Though their conversation was interrupted as they heard a loud crash and a scream. Sounded like it came from downstairs. A burglar or something here? Baron and the others look downstairs to see what it was. Baron was still at the top of the staircase so he didn't see the mobsters, but he saw the look on his friend's face and knew something was bad. It wasn't long before more screaming could be heard, and pretty soon there was fighting. Two of his friends quickly ran to where the fighting was. Baron knew he should help them, but this wasn't training. This was a real threat. Baron struggled to muster enough confidence to go downstairs and see what they were dealing with, but his legs wouldn't move.

He could hear fighting. When he heard one of his friends yell... He struggled, and eventually began to move. When he got downstairs, he saw one of his friends bleeding, and attempted to run over to him,, but was shoved to the ground, where he fell, and felt a sharp pain in his back. He rolled over, and pulled a rock off his back. It was shaped like a coral pink quatrefoil shaped rock. He rubbed his back. He saw the small rock, and without thinking picked it up. He was far too bus thinking about his friend who had lunged at the attacker, stabbing him in the eye with a kitchen knife. The boy was quickly killed, and his lifeless body fell to the ground. In that time, Baron managed to stand up, but didn't have enough time to help his friend.

Baron and his other still living friend, managed to head back upstairs, but they knew they couldn't defeat them, so they ran upstairs, locked the door, and snuck out the window. Leaving their other friend's death to go unavenged. Three days later, the town was invaded the Exignis Empire. Much of the town surrendered fairly early on. A few neighboring areas didn't go down without a fight.

Baron had eventually caught word that the mob group responsible for the attack three days prior, were among the casualties. Their deaths didn't bring back the deceased, but these people seemed far more competent than the Forentville Goverment. They were also merciful too, as Baron's father was offered a position within the Exignis Empire military. Eventually Baron would go on to try join as well, in appreciation to what good work the Exignis Empire did. Baron didn't quite understand their motives, but he believed they would create peace. After all, there was way less crime than there used to be.

@Lich yeah xD it was pretty annoying.

Here is my character so far, let me know what changes she needs:

Name: Aya Ali
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Desire: To keep order
Faction: Makuini (born in Ramilahr) now it feels like I copied Mango but I wanted to make an Egyptian oc smh
Rank/social standing: None
Appearance: Too lazy, did a picrew.
Aya Ali.png
Personality: Quiet, the silent type. She only interacts with those who she knows and tries to avoid conversation as much as possible with any stranger. She loves to collect interesting things, something with a good story behind it, an odd looking rock, a painting of an unknown artist, anything she might consider out of the ordinary. She loves to eat sweets, but that's because it keeps her from getting headaches.
Tech: Night vision goggles.
Backstory: Aya was born in the desert faction, Ramilahr. She was born a few hours away from the capital, a small town ran by thieves. Despite the leaders of such places having bad reputation, they were very protective of their people. The small town was called Rah, with the leader bearing the same name. Any stranger that got near it would be stripped of their belongings or worse if they put up a fight. The village managed by trade with the capital, anything valuable that was stolen was traded for food or medication for the small population in Rah. Aya is Rah's cousin. She got into collecting things thanks to the weird things she would find in Rah's home sometimes. This developed into the need to search for treasures, feeling the need to become a thieve herself.
One day Aya and her best friend Ramses, decided to sneak on board Rah's vehicle while he went out on a scavenger mission. The team made a short stop near an old city that had been buried under years of sand. Aya and Ramses snuck off, decided on finding treasure by entering through the roof of a skyscraper. Once inside they found a lot of things had been taken, except for some vases, that were lined up on top of a shelf. Believing they had scored big, the two began putting the antiques into a bag they had brought in, that's when the alarm had set off.
It turns out they had wondered into an abandoned museum. Once it detected the vases had been removed for a certain period of time, it began to lockdown the building. The two friends began to panic, Aya's asthma acting up as they placed the items back and the alarm kept going, giving of the warning that they needed to be in the same order as before. Unable to recall the order they were in, the two made a run for it, but the entrance from the roof was gone, the rope they had used had been removed somehow. They kept running, looking for a way, but to no results. With quick thinking, Aya tied an old chair to the rope and with the help of Rah, managed to use it as a hook as they threw out towards the same way they had came in. Unfortunately, the rope was shorter, Aya couldn't reach it. With time running out, Ramses put Aya on his shoulders, saying he was fast enough to catch up to her. With all her might and lack of oxygen, Aya climbed as fast as she could, with Ramses following under her. Aya made it out, but Ramses didn't. Fearing the worst, she began running through the desert, hoping to find help as soon as possible. She ran until she passed out from the lack of physical condition, the heat and her worn out lungs.
By the time Aya had woken up, a sandstorm had taken over. Lucky for her, her cousin had picked her up, finding her collapsed, and taken her back to Rah. But because of the sandstorm, they were unable to send a rescue team for Ramses. A few days went on, until finally Rah and a team went to rescue the young boy, only to find he had passed a few moments ago. It turns out some desert creatures had gotten to him first and fatally wounded him. The news broke Aya, had she paid attention to the order of the vases or had she been more athletic, they would've been able to escape. She saw herself as a failure, wishing to be able to take back the day she went out to search for treasure. One day though, Rah came home with a gift for Aya, that changed her life.
It was a light green stone with a dark center, making it look like some sort of eye. The stone turned out to be Brontea, which soon gave Aya her new abilities. With the desire to keep things organized in order to avoid disasters and be more capable of moving around, she gained telekinesis. Her brain became her strongest tool, allowing her to move whatever she wanted with just the thought of it. She practiced by arranging everything in town, store shelves, medication cabinets and even helping out at car shops. She was to be the great protector of her village, until she found out Rah's secret. He had been keeping a portion of his gains from missions, letting people starve, suffer in sickness or even made them disappear when they found out about his stash. Aya, feeling betrayed, left. She couldn't keep order in a place ran by someone like him. She fled to Makuini, where she joined the vanguard after using her skills to save a local from an avalanche.

Ability: Telekinesis. She has a strong need to keep things organized, in order. She believes if people arranged everything, they would have a better life and avoid unwanted accidents. Because of her weak physical and her asthma, her brain does the organizing for her. She can lift a lot of things, but the heavier they are the more difficult it becomes. She can flip over a car, but that requires a lot of concentration and it would probably drain her energy while doing so, therefore she relies on small things which she can hurl easily and dangerously fast.

Evolution: Not sure yet, maybe doing some sort of psychic blasts? Like just having an invisible force, allowing her to make protective force fields or psychic explosions.

She fled to Makuini, where she hopes to start over and find a way to use her powers to keep order in the world.

Definitely works for extension and that evolution would be perfect for affirmation. Glad to have a teammate at last!

Backstory: Baron's father was a ranking soldier in the Exignis Empire. A man named Brahn. Brahn was a sergeant that was oftentimes ordered to lead small groups to attack key targets to weaken enemy forces and allow the Exignis Empire to conquer more territory. His mother was a school teacher who worked with small children. Her son Baron was one of those children.

Baron grew up in a small town not too far from the border of Forentville. He had friends and classmates who lived closer to the border. Baron saw the effects the mafia of Forentvilles had on innocent people, and hated it. Later on in Baron's life some of his friends would go on to be inspired to join the military. Baron's father despite being a sergeant didn't force Baron to join, but had spoke of the benefits of joining. Baron's friends taking up arms was the turning point that got him to finally join.

Baron spent years training. He was a bit slower than the others and had a hard time keeping up with the training drills as well as maintenance. On his own free time he'd train in a secluded valley. He often trained by himself, but sometimes he'd bring his friends over. One day Baron decided to relax. It wasn't a big deal. He could train twice as hard the next day. Baron was just hanging out with friends at one of their houses. Baron and his friends were on the second floor staring out a large window watching birds fly by. That and complaining about training drills.

Nothing. He still couldn't bare to move. It were as if his legs were frozen in place. A thud. A laugh. More yells. When Baron got down the stairs, one of his friends was obviously dead. A stab wound through his chest and he hit his head on a table. The scene was too realistic. Baron didn't know what he could do against these mobsters, but he was ready to fight.

It was a good thing some soldiers showed up. They managed to scare off the mobsters. They killed a few who fought back or attempted to flee The few that got away would be stopped by Titus himself. A rather quick end. Revenge did not heal the wound. A large scar still remained, but at least these people would not be hurting anyone else. Baron couldn't help but wonder if he could have been more helpful. Maybe if he came to his friends aide faster or if they had simply decided to train that day. He angrily punched the wall, then kicked up dust. Tripping and falling after loosing balance after his kick. He felt a sharp pain in his back. He rolled over, and pulled a rock off his back. It was shaped like a coral pink quatrefoil shaped rock. He rubbed his back, and after blinking he noticed the rock was no longer in his hand. He was confused but still had far too much on his mind to worry about a silly rock. He didn't know it at the time, but he now had a mark on his back where he landed on the rock. After this day, he would go on to take his training more seriously. Seeing this happen was something he took pretty serous. He still blamed himself for his failure that day, but decided he could make better decisions in the future, and learn from the past. Titus was the one that took out the mobsters. If there was anyone Baron had trust in, it was him.

I plan to start the rp by Monday. No rush obviously and you’re allowed to jump in whenever, just thought I’d see if you guys are still interested

Yup, definitely still interested! Super sorry about the delay - I had midterm exams this week, so I was a tad busy. I'll try to have my sheet ready by Sunday.

He could hear fighting. When he heard one of his friends yell... He struggled, and eventually began to move.

Hi everyone! I finally feel ready to get this rp started! Don't worry if your bio isn't done yet, it'll be easy enough to jump in, but I just wanna get this thing going before it dies in the creative phase.

Before I get into more announcements, here are some of the initial significant figures I'll be introducing. More will be coming, and hopefully some of you will want to make some as you get more familiar with the world. These are just some that I think will be necessary to get things going.

Name: Titus Judge
Age: 33
Gender: Male
Desire: To protect his own (corruption) -> To conquer all
Faction: Exignis Empire
Rank/social standing: Emperor
Appearance: Actually have some art for this guy from Splice
image0.png

Personality: Brutal and ruthless to his opponents yet kind and nurturing to his followers. Titus’s personality is a perfect reflection of his initial lion ability: a natural born king and leader. He is proud and cunning and the last person you want to face as an enemy.
Tech: None

Titus was born into the slums of a once great city-state that was conquered by Forentvilles during its rise to power. Despite his poverty, Titus was content to live with his parents and younger sister. If they rationed their food carefully his whole family could eat, and during the cold months they had just enough heat if they cuddled together. It wasn’t much but they were safe under the Queen’s regime, that was all that mattered, and everything else was a bonus. But even though he never had much to begin with, the rise of the new king of Forentvilles took everything from the boy.

At just 8 years old, Titus’s sister caught the eye of an especially despicable member of the king’s council who ordered she be taken as his own. When the city attempted to rebel against the horrendous action, the nobleman requested their complete and utter demise. An excessive amount of soldiers stormed in and killed without hesitation, claiming nearly every friend and family member Titus knew until he was the only one left defending his sister. Though she begged him to let her turn herself in and spare what few lives remained, Titus refused and devised plan after plan in what would become his first displays of military genius.

For two months he and his sister evaded capture. He would poison food and water supplies to pick off soldiers and then loot their weapons. He’d lure soldiers into buildings only for them to discover he had rigged it with explosives or lead them down an alleyway that he had lined with guns on timers. The defense was truly spectacular against the current strongest army in the world, and soon rumors began to spread about a terrorist organization resisting Forentvilles. Fearing what would happen if the world began to doubt their strength, the king ordered reinforcements to be sent. A battalion of tanks encircled the city and blitzed all at once, but even still Titus held his own. Having intercepted a message indicating the incoming attack, he had spent a month rerouting the sewage system so when the tanks rolled in they sunk into soft soil, forcing the soldiers to continue on foot. From there, Titus set up a perch in the middle of town, sniping the soldiers as they attempted to march through the muddy terrain. For a moment it seemed that there was a chance that the child could actually pull off the greatest upset in military history, but an aerial missile strike took down his tower, burying Titus beneath the rubble.
The helicopter responsible for the missile landed next to the boy’s nearly dead body. Curious as to what the true cause of the resistance was, the nobleman had taken it upon himself to investigate what he had assumed was the organization’s central hub. Upon finding nothing but the mangled body of Titus, the noble was immediately filled with horror when he realized everything he had done. Truly it was a shameful existence to admit that he had been repeatedly thwarted by a child no older than 10. Enraged by his failure he began beating the already broken boy, shattering his limbs into splinters. However, the torture did not need to continue for long before the voice of his affection caught his attention.

Tucked into Titus’s jacket pocket was a radio transceiver and stopwatch flashing zeroes. The child was not so arrogant to confidently believe in his initial plan and had implemented a fail-safe. Along with rerouting the sewage system, Titus had lined the city with tontrium boosted bombs. If he was to go 10 minutes without communication his sister was tasked with detonating them from her bunker. However, in a moment of weakness she used the communication device to reach out to her brother, asking if he was sure she should press the button (an act he had strictly banned out of fear of this exact situation). Though Titus tried to scream “yes” the nobleman seized the radio and began talking directly to the girl, telling her that he would spare her brother if she turned herself over. She tried to hold strong to Titus’s instructions for what to do in this situation, but when the nobleman began torturing Titus for the radio she could no longer live with the sounds of her brother’s pain. Ultimately his sister’s limitless compassion and his own disregard for his personal value was the only flaw in his plan. Full of tears she emerged from the bunker and boarded the helicopter, giving her screaming and crying brother an apologetic goodbye as the nobleman assured her that he would send help to Titus. But as soon as they cleared the area, the nobleman saw one final opportunity to erase his failures and truly claim victory. He detonated the bombs Titus had laid, disintegrating the boy and every soldier they had deployed that may have known the truth of the situation. Thus the story of Titus’s legendary defense was replaced with a tale of a noble man and heroic soldiers who sacrificed everything to rescue as many children as possible from the clutches of a terrorist organization.

Though his body was all but ashes, the essence of Titus’s spirit remained alive through sheer determination. Never before had the world seen such a strong desire. Enraged not by just his own weakness, but tormented by the suffering he knew his sister was going through all because of a sacrifice she made trusted in a lie, Titus’s willpower simply did not allow himself to die. And in an act of fate that can perhaps only be explained by divine intervention, a Brontea core manifested within the boy and slowly began restoring his body, matching his conquerors spirit with the body of a lion. However, because the brontea core was not just being absorbed by the boy and rather becoming one with him to rebuild his body, the entire process took ten years. Fueled by his desire to save his sister, Titus immediately set out on a conquest to find her and the nobleman that stole her from him. To many, it appeared like a holy crusade that freed them from their oppressor. He quickly gained a following, including 13 other extremely powerful individuals that bore grudges of their own, most notably a boy named Zero. Together, they liberated various Forentvilles cities and claim them as their own, donning the name “Exignis” to represent their ascension from the flames of hell the king had inflicted upon them.

However, upon finally reaching the nobleman he learned his sister had been sold off to a man of an island faction. He killed the man and immediately set off to the island where he was informed of his sister’s death by the man who once owned her. With nothing close to him left to protect, Titus’s conviction corrupted and he gained a new desire: the desire to conquer all. After undergoing such an intense corruption, Titus began an uncontrollable rampage that decimated the island. He was only able to stop when Zero took initiative, battling his best friend for three days until his senses were restored. However, the strength of their clash ended up sinking the island. Zero had hoped that after recovering from the corruption and seeing the damage that he had caused Titus would return to the man he used to be; however, he stayed firm in his belief that it was his duty to conquer all the world, as it is full of evil and he is the only one able to control it. Unable to stand against the man yet no longer able to support him, Zero left the Exignis Empire, allowing Titus to continue his conquest that has now firmly established his forces as one of the powerhouses of the world.
Brontea Bio
Appearance: Unlike every other known case of Brontea absorption, Titus’s body is fully integrated with the core and therefore it is not visible as a gemstone but rather in the permanent alterations to his appearance
Desire: To protect his own
Category: Internalization
Ability: Gives him the physical attributes of a lion. Considered a very kingly creature and protective of its own
Evolution: Affirmation (to be an indomitable protector)- greatly enhanced his physical attributes, made his skin as tough as steel, and allows his roar to stun
Corruption (to conquer all)- a very odd sort of corruption, the way it activated was essentially by maximizing his adaptation abilities. Whenever he kills any person, he can conquer their spirit as well and can adapt it into his powers without sacrificing the integrity of his initial power. This has allowed him to sprout wings that can cause cutting windstorms, a tail that can launch poison, and the ability to breath flames

Name: Zeus is his military code name, affectionately referred to by the citizens of Binazuma as “The Lightning Lieutenant”
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Desire: To smite those who abuse power
Faction: Unknown origin, now Binazuma
Rank/social standing: Lieutenant in their military. Commands the human unit
Appearance: Zeus is not overwhelming in appearance, yet one look at him gives the impression that he is to be taken seriously. He stands at 6ft with well toned muscle, tanned skin, and short electric blue hair that does nothing to cover his matching hawk-like eyes. His entire body below the neck is covered by a silver suit with gold accents made of a titanium alloy that derives power from the blue Diamond brontea core right above his heart. A white blade fashioned like a katana hangs on his side.
Personality: A natural born genius and talented fighter, he is burdened with enormous regret and hatred, and as such avoids becoming attached to anything. His calculating nature has allowed him to reach levels of success unfathomable for someone of his young age.
Tech: The suit he invented draws power from his brontea core and ability, allowing him to travel at incredibly fast speeds and with the benefit of cybernetic augmentations, has AI boosted reaction speeds. His sword can also channel his energy and release powerful bursts of electricity
Backstory: not much is known. He simply showed up in the weapons sector of Binazuma one day asking for work. Though he started off as a chore boy, his talent shone through and he quickly moved up the social ladder of the country, becoming praised for his combinations of tech and combat
Brontea Bio
Appearance:
A blue Diamond on his heart
Category: extension
Ability: can produce powerful bursts of electricity
How they found it: he doesn’t speak of it often. All I’ll say is it was forced upon him by certain people who would then grow to regret that decision
Evolution: Has undergone one stage of affirmation, granting him the ability to turn things into plasma upon touching them

Name: Zero Exodus
Age: 27
Gender: Male
Desire: secret
Faction: Makuini (formerly Exignis)
Rank/social standing: Head of the Vanguard
Appearance: As with almost everything else about him, Zero’s appearance is quite odd. He wears an extremely baggy turtleneck that covers from his mouth all the way down to the ground, concealing even his feet and leaving no conception of whether he is skinny, fit, or overweight. Black gloves cover his hands. It would appear that he is quite tall, towering over most people like a looming shadow standing at 7’9, but it is highly speculated that beneath the baggy clothing he is standing on stilts to overcompensate for being rather short, thus explaining his constant stumbling pattern while walking. The only things visible are his extraordinarily circular head which hosts shaggy black hair, black eyes that look like the bottom half of a circle, and a large mouth lined with triangular spiky teeth that show from beneath his collar whenever he laughs to big or takes too large of a bite
Personality: As enigmatic as he tries to be, the truth is Zero is just kind of a weirdo. When dealing with new people he tries to seem as stoic and intimidating as possible until he can no longer resist the urge to make a childish joke and reveal his true nature. His incredible intelligence is often undercut by his clumsiness. Despite his strange character and habits, his genuine kindness has made him quite likable in Makuini and he is given the full trust of the people and Queen to protect them
Tech: standard earpiece of the vanguard Backstory: he never mentions his childhood and hates discussing any of his past. All that is known is he used to be Titus’s right hand man and was crucial to the establishment of the Exignis Empire; however, after witnessing Titus’s utter decimation of an Island faction that resulted in the island sinking, he could no longer stomach the brutality of the conquest. Though he was unable to bring himself to clash with his friend, Zero left for Makuini where he hopes to aid in the establishment of a more peaceful nation. Brontea Bio
Appearance:
Nobody who has seen his brontea core has ever lived to describe it
Category: currently unknown, based on rumors he has supposedly demonstrated all three types
Ability: currently unknown. Some descriptions of him fighting include a large white sword, twin black swords, black holes, strange alterations to the environment, and mysterious soldiers appearing alongside him
How they found it: currently unknown
Evolution: has mastered all three types
I apologize for the mystery left behind some of the characters, Titus is an adaptation of my original OC idea for the Splice rp this is based on and Zero is probably my favorite character I've ever come up with. He's extremely powerful, and an exception to many rules. Don't worry, his personality is made in such a way that he will not hinder the progress of any rper (unless you're stupid enough to challenge him head on), and I primarily intend for him to serve as a mentor figure. Hopefully I can write him well and reveal hints of his backstory and powers in subtle chunks until the final moment I have planned where everything comes together for him with big story payoff (I've been writing his backstory as a solo work of sorts and at some point it will be put into the rp). Anyway, this is the last of the significant figures for now

Name: The Seer
Age: 300+
Gender: Female
Desire: To see everything
Faction: None
Rank/social standing: oracle
Appearance: a thin elderly woman with long white hair and foggy white eyes
Personality: soft spoken and whimsical
Backstory: Born blind yet highly curious, she was always harbored an immense desire to see everything but could not. She was actually the first person to be empowered by a brontea core and went into hiding immediately afterwards.

Brontea Bio
Appearance:
A Pearl imbedded in her forehead like a third eye
Desire: to see everything
Category: internalization
Ability: can see everything, including the past, the future, and even beyond the 4th wall! However, since the future is ever changing the visions she has are prone to inaccuracies. As such, she rarely looks farther than a month and gives only vague descriptions
Evolution: none
You may notice her bio is a bit underwhelming. Well, that's not completely unintentional. Perhaps someday I'll throw her into the rp, but for now she mainly serves as a plot device to keep things flowing in the rp setting. Much like I did with the spoiler containing tags, I will be taking some inspiration from kyuu's new pokemon rp format that some of you may be familiar with (though I'd like to think I helped establish the format at least a little). But by that I mean we will be functioning more individually and freely than most rps you are probably in. I think a big problem I've run into is when rps hit a lull, someone might have something going on in real life that prevents them from posting, which is totally fine and understandable, but it can lead to people getting stuck on one day or in one setting until it stretches on for so long that everyone gets bored and loses inspiration.

This is where the Seer comes in. This rp is a bit more complex than the pokemon rp, and things could get messy quickly if we all got on vastly different timelines and plot threads. In order to maintain a balance of structure and freedom, I'm planning to operate the rp like this:

At the beginning of each in-rp month, I will make a post as the Seer, summing up developments of the previous month and foreshadowing potential plot threads you can choose to pursue. For this first month I have ideas to force some interactions, but I am always open to suggestions. Also, if you think my idea just sounds boring and sucks, please explain that to me in a way that hopefully won't break my heart, and then you're free to pursue whatever idea you think sounds more fun as long as it isn't entirely insane. I may have brainstormed the framework of this world but there is still a lot of development to do, and I hope throughout the rp everyone can contribute to fleshing it out because I don't think I'll be able to do it on my own.

Anyway, within that month time period, you are free to move at your own pace. This is going to be a bit more realistic than pokemon and such, traveling across a nation will take time. You are welcome to timeskip the traveling periods to get to the main plot, but if you're a more active rper you might enjoy rping the journey. Have a side quest or two during your travels, fight a dragon, rescue a princess, rescue a prince, realize the thing who needed rescuing all along was the dragon you fought in the first place and form an unlikely yet awesome friendship, or you could even find love along the way (unless your name is hec. I know it's a fictional world but that just seems beyond the realm of belief). The point is, have fun and let your inspiration take you wherever. Once people have finished up for the month, I'll wrap things up in a Seer post and move us onto the next.

Last little note is to keep in mind that the overarching story is about nations fighting in war. You are welcome to explore your own story and if you never want to get involved in the war stuff that's fine, but your character will probably feel the ramifications of war (and personally I think you'll have less fun). But wars don't just happen in a day, and they don't reach their conclusion after one battle. If you want to invade a country, you'll probably have to develop strategies for months and fight for a long time thereafter. As you can see by Titus's and Gen's backstories, I'm putting some truly evil people in this rp. If you choose to be complacent to actions I have them taking in the background there will be consequences. A story is only rewarding when there are real stakes and it is very possible to suffer a huge loss. I have a few plans in mind for the greater storyline but those are all subject to change depending on your actions. If you want to have a greater impact on the story, I would suggest asking me about creating a significant figure or having your character focus on rising through the ranks of their nation so they can contribute to more weighted decisions.

Please let me know if there's any questions and I really want this to be a fun experience for everyone so I welcome any advice to improve it! First person to reply gets to pick the month we start in

hello welcome my traveling merchant character

Name: Chris Parker

Age: 46

Gender: Male

Desire: "I want to provide happiness with my wares."

Faction: None (though he formerly lived in Ramilahr, then moved to Binazuma), as Chris moves around from town-to-town (except Forentvilles and to a point Makuini) to sell his wares.

Rank/social standing: He's well-known to lots of people, though he's not part of any government.

Appearance: Chris has dark brown hair, his hair being a bit messy. He has dark skin, mostly due to him travelling all around the island, almost every day. His eyes are also a color of teal. Chris wears a blue robe, with gold borders on the ends of his robes. He's also got his brontea core embedded in his neck. He also wears a pouch, filled with potions, which can be used offensively and defensively in a fight.

Personality: Chris is an extrovert, to put it simply. Even though he is an extrovert, Chris is well-into potion making, when making stops in cities. Chris loves speaking with other people, and meeting new ones. Even so, Chris is hardworking, and creates and gathers most of his wares. Lastly, Chris had been though about the law, and things that could be illegal, etc.

Tech: He's got basically nothing, though he owns a cart, and two horses, if that counts.

Backstory: From a young age, Chris' parents had always been staying in their rickety home, in the city of Ramilahr. His family was poor, and they almost had no food to eat almost daily. In a decade, Chris' father had saved up just enough money to buy horses and a cart, which they used to leave Ramilahr, to find a new place to live in. Though it had not gone well, as they were about to reach the now known lands of the Exignis Empire, His parents had passed due to a sickness. Chris had made it to Binazuma, all alone, with no family left, except for the cart and the two horses that were left with him.

The people of Binazuma took Chris as one of their own, teaching him many things, things that he would never have learned if he didn't move on and make the journey to Binazuma, things about technology, medicine, and so much more. more so, due to the many significant figures in the region, Chris learned much more about everything in the world, so much so, that once he reached thirty-four years old, Chris made the decision to leave the country to fulfill his dream of bringing a smile with what he can gather. Soon enough, Chris was gone, though he returned every few months, to sell different things to the people of Binazuma, which was his way of saying thanks to them.

Though, during one of his expeditions near the mountains of Makuini, Chris found a gen like no other, it looked like a topaz at first, so he kept it and returned to Binazuma to see if it really was real topaz, or something else. But once the touched it, the brontea core immediately embedded itself into his neck.

Brontea Bio
Appearance:
His Brontea Core is orange in color, with the same shape as a topaz.
Category: Extension
Ability: Chris is able to turn gases, that when inhaled, will make people smile or laugh. Basically a laughing gas. His desire is to make people smile with his wares, which is how he can turn local gases into laughing gas.
How they found it: (is in the backstory)
Evolution: None, for now.

Love the power, nice to see a friendly guy! Only change is that brontea imbeds itself in the body of a user. The second he picked it up it would’ve merged with him somehow. After you change that he’s accepted!

Alright. Finally settled on a character concept for this one.

The backstory... happened, I guess! I don't know, I just started writing, and that was the end result. Sleep deprived productivity is certainly... something else.

Not too sure if she'll fit the tone and mechanics of the RP - if she doesn't, that's fine! I have a few other ideas in mind - most of the time I've spent on this was deciding between my various ideas haha.

Name: Estelle "Stella" Rivers
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Desire: "People make no sense... I wish that I could understand them better."
Faction: Lunaria
Rank/social standing: (Looking for suggestions here. I want her to be involved in the war in order to develop her character, but probably not in direct combat - so I don't really know what to do with her rank.)
Appearance:
a.png

Created using Charat Genesis. Stands at a height of 5'2. This is her casual wear, and it will likely change at some point. Her Brontea is located on her forehead.
Personality:
An introverted and anxious individual, Estelle doesn't really get out much. She's an incredibly kind person that would walk to the ends of the earth for the people she cares about, but she finds it very difficult to make any meaningful connections. Socializing is decidedly not her forte - she tries her best, but her underconfidence tends to get the better of her. She struggles to understand people, and finds their mannerisms and behaviors confusing - which has led her to become incredibly invested in the inner workings of the mind. Despite her shortcomings, she is loyal and selfless to a fault, and she can be brave when her loved ones need her.

After fusing with her Brontea core, Estelle's confidence has improved. She's still awkward and anxious, but her newfound abilities have given her the boost she so desperately needed. She's coming out of her shell, bit by bit - but the process will be long and difficult.
Tech: A holographic watch that functions similarly to a smartphone, with a few additional features.

Backstory:
(Not sorry for this wall of text.)

In her own eyes, Estelle is remarkably average. She has always looked at the people around her and admired them for one reason or another - it seems like just about everyone has a story to tell. In contrast, she's just Estelle Rivers from Lunaria, just trying to get by in a world that she doesn't understand. She's not special, and she doesn't know if she ever will be.

Shortly after Estelle's birth, her biological parents put her up for adoption. She lived through her childhood with parents that loved her, but didn't quite understand her. She was educated at home, only switching to public education in high school.

Around the age of sixteen, she began to wonder what she was going to do with her life. She wasn't particularly strong or smart, and most of the careers that she thought she had a shot at weren't of interest to her. She wanted to help the kingdom of Lunaria, but she wasn't quite sure how.

Shortly before her eighteenth birthday, Estelle felt an indescribable pull at the very fabric of her soul. Someone or something was calling her, but she didn't know what. She tried to distract herself from the feeling for days on end, until it became impossible to ignore. Eventually, she gave in to the mysterious pull, soon finding herself in a rather ordinary-looking forest clearing. Despite how unassuming it seemed, the pull was stronger than ever - but she couldn't tell what she was being pulled to. It seemed like just an ordinary clearing.

Confused and frustrated, she sat down on a rock, hoping to collect her thoughts. Upon sitting down, a glimmer at her feet caught her eye. Leaning down to look at the mysterious gleam, she found an odd stone - clear in color, around half the size of her fist. She picked it up, and suddenly -

-----

Her senses were being assaulted to the point where they hardly worked anymore. It was incomprehensible, unimaginable - and yet, it felt familiar.

She couldn't think, couldn't breathe, couldn't scream. She was everything and nothing, all at once. She was--

What am I?

Who am I?

I am me.

And then, all at once, everything stopped.

Estelle Rivers found herself in a white void, stretching as far as the eye could see.

What is your deepest desire?

The words flooded every corner of her mind.

It was a simple question, and yet she could not bring herself to answer.

Amidst the confusion of her mind, her heart quietly chimed in, and suddenly she knew.

I want to understand. I want to understand people. I want to understand the world.

The feeling that overtook her next could not be described. Her mind was scattered on the non-existent wind, expanding to the edges of the plane, perceiving everything and anything and-

The world was black.

-----

When Estelle came to, she was on the ground next to the rock that she had previously been sitting on, the mysterious stone that she had found nowhere to be seen. Sitting up, she brought her head to her hand, checking for any injuries - only to feel something cool and hard, seemingly embedded into her head.

Panic overtook her at once, and she immediately got up and headed for a pond that she had passed by earlier. When she checked her reflection, she was surprised to see no wounds or blood - only a small and flat pink crystal, set in the center of her forehead.

She spent some time at that pond, trying to understand what had just happened. To say the least, she failed.

As she returned to the streets of Lunaria, her mind was suddenly filled with a barrage of ...information? thoughts? The stone in her forehead, now covered by her then-messy hair, suddenly felt much warmer than before.

Logically, she should not have known what was happening, but she did. Somehow, buried in her soul, she knew what had happened to her. These thoughts were not hers - but the thoughts of everyone around her. She was reading minds.

Over time, she came to understand her power better. At first, the constant barrage of thoughts and emotions was unbearable, but with time, she learned to control it. Eventually, she became able to use it at will, and was able to focus it on a target.

Some time later, she found herself seeking a position in government intelligence. She wanted to help Lunaria, and with her new power, she figured that this would be the best way to do it.

(okay, maybe I'm a little bit sorry for the wall of text)

Brontea Bio:
Appearance: Takes on the appearance of a small polished diamond. It is pinkish-purple in color. After fusion, it became embedded in her forehead, with only the polished portion being visible.
Category: Think this qualifies as Extension but I'm not too sure actually.
Ability:
Estelle's Brontea core has gifted her the ability to read the minds of the people around her. She can see and hear their thoughts, as well as their emotions. This power stems from her desire for understanding others - what better way to understand people than just knowing exactly what they are thinking at any given time?

To avoid this being too overpowered, the limitations are as follows:
- The person must be in Estelle's line of sight. If she can no longer see the target, the connection will be broken.
- If the target is notably perceptive, they may notice an odd feeling washing over them when she establishes a link.
- If she is startled out of the link, she will be heavily winded and unable to use her power again for a short while.
How they found it: See backstory
Evolution: None yet. Possibly affirmation or adaptation in the future - I'll wait and see where her story goes.

Ooooo I really like her!!! Definitely perfectly suited for being a spy/informant of sorts with a very valuable power (also loved the description in the backstory). If you still have attachments to your other character concepts I hope you throw them in cause I’m sure I’d like them too. Accepted!

Also yes, the power is a bit tricky. I’m tempted to say internalization because it grants her an ability to perceive things, and things like super hearing and vision are definitely internalization. However, depending on how you want her to evolve internalization might limit the way she can grow. Basically I’ll make an exception and let you decide since I could see an argument for internalization and extension

I'll probably go with extension in that case, purely for the sake of flexibility. If I see any opportunities to use some of the other concepts I had, I'll definitely put them out there :)

I was thinking since there are nine factions, he'd be going to them every month (except for forentvilles and Makuini). So i think it being july, he'd be in the Tusaro area rn
(for reference, he'd be in Lunaria in January, Ramilahr in Febuary, Exignis Empire in March, Binazuma in April, Selva in May, Munte in June, and Tusaro in July. then etc.)
