The Beginning Of Destiny: The Hoenn Chapters

"What the!?!?" Jason stuttered, looking down a street in Rustboro, "I just get here, and two dragons are trying to kill each other.....greaaaaat..." He rolled his eyes. Then he remembered what was going on...two giant dragons...fighting to the death. Something most people would want to avoid. But not Jason. He was a Dragon Tamer, minus the goofy cape.

"Froslass, Salamence, let's go!" The trainer said, tossing two Ultraballs into the air. The two Pok

[[OOC: Anyone is able to.]]

Kalseng stared up at the man. He stole Kalseng's egg! Kalseng sat up, groaning at the immense pain splitting his side. He simply bore with it, and called out quietly. "Haunter!" his haunter got itself out of its pokeball and floated next to Kalseng, its eyes piercing through Kalseng's, in a way to say "What did I tell you?" Kalseng ignored this. "Haunter... You're gonna have to fight through this one. Come on." Kalseng stood himself up slowly, trying to keep his balance on the uneven ground.

Dust and debris had been broken up and floated throgh the air, giving the town a dusty, old feel to it. Kalseng could smell the bruns and blood of the fight, something he didn't like at all. He turned his thoughts over to what he could do, and stopped surveying the horrible broken landscape. He pointed up at the blue dragon with a trembling hand.

"Give it one of your Will-o-wisps, Haunter!" Kalseng couldn't do much but give his orders calmly. "Do it with our flair." Haunter looked at Kalseng and smiled horridly. Haunter flew up at the salamence and rammed its hands right into the slamance's back, going right into the stomach. The dragon bucked and reared, trying to shake off the ghost pokemon, but nothing worked and Haunter held its ground. The ghost concentrated and let loose a Will-o-Wisp. The blue fire burned up inside the dragon's body, sprading up through its throat. The dragon roared in anguish, blue flames erupting from its mouth as it twisted. the flames flew about a meter from the dragons mouth before slowly sputtering out. The dragon finally tossed Haunter off, sending the ghost downwards until it was just near the new trainer.

Haunter reached over into the trainer's bag, and retrieved the egg quickly and carefully. The ghost flew downward toward Kalseng, attracting the dragonite's attention. Haunter had just made himself the new target.

(Since you asked nicely. *cough*)

Strange, violet eyes watched unblinkingly from the top of a building as the fight progressed. The figure had on a light blue dress that flowed right to her knees. A pair of black boots with fishnets on her legs and arms, her hands were covered with a pokemon trainer's customary fingerless black gloves. Her long, golden hair spilled out from beneath a light blue cap, gently brushing her thighs.

"Foolish," she whispered, amused, "trainers fighting among themselves when the real threat still stands. They actually got rid of one of their major adavantages in fury. They don't even realize how much devastation the dragons could cause. I shall remedy this." She spread her arms out and opened her hands wide. Anyone who would have been near her at the time would have instantly tensed, for their gut instinct would have told them something was wrong. Like the feeling you're being watched. Suddenly, she was surrounded by a blue aura, and actually began floating into the air. Her hair swished around her like a golden plain of-well, gold. She floated slowly down and forward until she was right in front of the two on theground.

"Excuse me," she whispered in a hollow voice, "I believe we all have a great misunderstanding here. You see, while you two bicker about how a pokemon should be treated, that pokemon is now causing havoc with its buddy, and there's only one person and pokemon trying to stop them. So, I saw we briefly put all of this aside for the moment and focus on the situations that actually mean something." She turned her head to the Froslass, "And if it makes your master feel better, I've seen people do a lot worse things than that to a pokemon. Trust me. So, whaddya say?"

(Omg, so...bad....*stabs with a knife then kills self for making such a horrid post*)

kalseng stared back at the frosslass's eyes and he saw something. Something different... He saw what needed to be done. He needed to steel his nerves... He needed to create something unstoppable. Kalseng felt it inside him, this hardened nerve. He had flinched when Haunter had hurt the Salamence, but he had to detatch himself from the battle, and steel up everything inside himself.

Kalseng did what he had to do. He pulled himself up, striaghtened out, and changed. His eyes hardened, leaving behind his true soul, and he created a new personality within himself. His face adjusted to a hard gaze, which tore at the Frosslass, sending her into shivers. Kalseng then turned to the immenent threat. The dragons.

A woman appeared in front of them, one whom had floated down from atop a building. Kalseng listened to her words and nodded. This was needed. Kalseng stared at the Salamence, and he knew what had to happen. He looked her over once more, making sure of his resolve. The will-o-wisp had done damage, but his body was only hurt. That thing wanted the dragonite dead. And that was what needed to happen. That dragon needed to lose his lust for battle.

"Haunter..." Kalseng said. "I'm gonna make you do something I never want you to do again. The Haunter looked up, trying to search for his trainer. He was there, but he had simply owned up to himself. He had finally matured. He had become new. He had been reborn. "Reach into his mind. Literally touch his mind. Get into it using psychic. And then, use a inght sahde on him." Kalseng ordered. Haunter transferered all of his attacks throuhg his hands, so a night shade to h iis mind might just do what it needs to. "But let's not harm the egg. Give it here." Kalseng extended his hand to the Haunter, whom currently held the egg. He palced it in Kalseng's palm, and nodded to what he had to do.

Haunter quickly ascended through the air, and threw his hands into the salamence's skull. Within his head, Haunter hesitated. he didn't know what was right... Ghosts had strong powers, but he didn't want to kill the poor thing... Haunter did whathe needed to. Kalseng reached into the salamence's mind, and probed it with a Psychic. The attack reached through the electron patterns and found the center, and latched itself on. Haunter pered into its thoughts merging with it. Its hands were now inside the creatures head, and Haunter new what had to be done.

The dark energy trickled into Haunter's claws, until it had built up. Haunter let loose with it, creating the entire attack within salamence's head. The dark, ghost-like energy contored the creatures attack, coating its thoughts in darkness. The monstor roared in terror, and writhed from side to side. The salamence's visio went dark, its nerves wrecked by the attack. The monster felt its mind coated, until it oculd think no more, until its senses were dead. Haunter felt the energy pulse through the monsters body. Haunter hadn't just used a night shade attack. That would have been to strong for a night shade. It had used Dark Pulse.

The Salamence was suspended in the air only by Haunter's grip, until the monster had stopped the attack, and pulled his hands from the salamence's head, his hands still glowing from the dark pulse attack. The slamence fell from the sky, plummeting to the earth. It hit the ground on its hard, protected underbelly, but it still hadn't recovered its senses or self-being from the attack.

Haunter felt a twang in its mind. something had been overused. the pokemon had sustained a Psychic attack and a Dark Pulse attack. The pokemon had overexerted its mental state of being, not its physical being. The pokemon dropped unable to hold a levitation anymore.

Kalseng snapped back to his old self, and saw his okemon plummet. He dived for his Haunter. "Haunter!" He called out, throwing out his arms. The pokemon fell right into Kalseng's warm embrace, unconscious. Kalseng turned to he Salamence to check on it. The dragon was still breathing, slowly taking in raspy breaths, its mind still blanketed, its senses permanently dulled. If that thing recovered, it would still be damaged for a while.

The dragonite hovered in the air, stairing a tthe trianer holding its egg and the Haunter.

[[OOC: And that, my children, is how the battle Kalseng was formed. Yayz.]]

"No...." Jason muttered, watching what had just happened to the Salamnce. "Froslass, you calm that Dragonite down!" He called. The ghostly being hovered up into the air and next to Dragonite. It began telepathically communicating with it. Around Froslass was a feeling of cold, Ghost and Ice together. This weakened the Dragonite to the point that it would communicate.

"GO!" Jason and Salamence dove at an alarming rate for the his damaged brotheren. Before Salamance had even landed, Jason hopped off, and appeared next to the hurt dragon. He knelt next to it's head, and began stroking it. Then, what might have been the most obvious solution popped into his head. A Heal Ball. Jason rummaged through his backpack, going through multiple pokings from Dragon Fangs and Claws. In a side pokcet containing empty Pok

Kalseng couldn't look the trainer in the eye... What he had done? That trainer was crazy. It wasn't Kalseng's fault... He had only listened to Haunter and Frosslass... It wasn't his fault... Kalseng saw a tear fall onto haunter's unconscious body. Tears were streaming down his face as Kalseng fought back sobs. He couldn't cry. He had promised not to cry when he started his pokemon adventure. He had never cried before this. He fought for a while, and then sat the egg down on the ground in front of himself as he sobbed into Haunter. He hugged the creature tight.

What had he done?

Jason stepped down from his mount on Salamence and closer to the trainer and his Haunter. He circled around him, trying to eye what he truly was. Was he always an insane, willing to do anything trainer? Or were these tears genuine? Either way, it didn't matter to Jason when it came to dragons. You harm a dragon in that way outside of a legit battle, you WILL pay. After a few more moments of finishing his circle, he realized what this trainer was.

"Here" he said, tossing a quickly grabbed Revive at the ground in fron of Kalseng. Without saying another word, Jason returned Avenger to the Heal Ball, and began flight preperations on the shining Salamence...

Kalseng couldn't use a revive. He nudged it back cautiously, as if saying no. He looked up at the dragon trainer. "H-how?" Kalseng asked, sobs interupting his speech. "I have-hic-this egg..." another sob tore from Kalseng's diaphram, and he looked back up. "It's a dratini egg-hic-you know a lot about-hic-dragons, right-hic?" Kalseng asked past his hicupping. His face had become childish and soft again, his eyes calming down. "Teach-hic-me what to do with it..." Klaseng said through tears.

Jason looked back when he saw the trainer speaking to him. Before turning his head back and facing him, he rolled his eyes. He then stepped down off of Salamence. The battle between dragons had damaged the road more then anything. Only two building had been affected, and it was very minor. A power outage perhaps.

"Alright, look" Jason said, tossing the Revive back to Kalseng, "Let's start with an introduction, 'M Jason, you are?"

(Insert how he would react in this state here...)

"Alright, you realize now how horrible that combo was? I hope anyway....if you don't, you might meet Salamence's combo." The Salamence turned it's head and gave a smile. The kind of "I would neeeeeever" smile. "For that Dratini egg" Jason said, kneeling next to Kalseng, "You'll want to keep it at an average tempature. Dratini's don't like heat, and like all dragons, detest the cold. I suggest letting it sit in some water for a few moments, that's where most Dratini make their home..." Jason continued to ramble on about all the technicals of Dratini care...

Kalseng watched the entire group, trainer and dragons as he sobbed. When asked about his name, he responded simply. "Kalseng." He managed to say between sobs. He listened to every word of Jason's as he spoke about the different methods of Dratini care. Kalseng listened patiently, and then realized something. The dragonit was still looming high in the sky, looking Kalseng over. Kalseng put his fingers up to Jason's lips as he watched.

The dragonite was debating the character of Kalseng. The creature had commanded a devastating power from the simple ghost sitting in his arms, and he had put saving the egg above most else. The creature had permanently damaged the dragonite's opponent, but then burst in to tears afterwards. After a few moments of consideration, the dragonite turned 'round in the air, and flew off into the sky, knowing that the egg Kalseng carried was just as good there than in the dragonite's arms. Possibly even better. The dragonite's wings were tired, but stretched as far as they needed to, and his eyes were heavy with exhaustion.

Kalseng pulled his fingers from Jason's lips, and signaled for him to continue. He did, and Kalseng remembered every word.

Ishtar had kept watch on the Dragonite until it turned and flew away. It was impossible to tell what was going through her mind, but whatever it was, it was bad. Her hands were shaking slightly, she had been ever since the Salamence had been so brutally tortured. It didn't bother her, she had seen things just as bad, but it brought back...unwanted memories. She brought down her head and rubbed her eyes as if to get rid of spots of light, but it only made it worse. The images of memories from so long ago swirled in her mind, and she opened her eyes again.

I thought I was the only thing that can hurt a creature that terribly... She thought to herself. She exhaled through her nostrils and stared at her feet, immersed in bad memories. Idiot... She thought, smiling at herself and straightened up, suddenly looking five times better than she had two seconds ago.

"An egg?" Ishtar asked curiously, "I remember the last time I had an egg...they're all grown up now, but they'll still be my babies." She tapped two pokeballs on her belt.

Kalseng heard every word that Ishtar said as she tapped onto her pokeballs. He would have to model himself after her... She looked to be such an experienced an excellent trainer [[And poster]] that he was almost honored to be in her presence. "H-how did you l-let them g-grow up?" Kasleng asked, sniffling through his tears. He was pretty bad about that. It took him a while to cool down from crying. Maybe five minutes, maybe an hour. This wasn't too bad. Maybe eight minutes tops. Kalseng continued fighting back as he listened.

Ishtar smiled ingratiatingly, and spoke softly: "Everyone has to grow up sometime. And they just do. I would've loved to keep my Sugar a Togepi forever, but, she evolved into a Togetic and then into a Togekiss to save my life. Then theres Mathazar, he just happened to level up at the right time of the day and evolved. Although sometimes I still wish he were little, because its very hard to cuddle a Lucario. "

She pulled a spotless white cloth and handed it to Kalseng. "I don't know why you're crying, but it must be something awful. You don't have to tell me, but here, dry off with that." She sounded very motherly then, but she had learned a long time ago to care for others, even when she had been denied that luxery when she was young.
