In the Aureolis region, everyone was celebrating about the new champion of the Pokémon league, who almost immediately requested a tournament to be held for all sorts of strong trainers all across the world to participate, and all the people who were invited got this letter:
“Dear (name), you have been invited to the first annual Solaurea City world tournament! You have been picked for your exceptional battling skills that a friend or relative of yours has told us about; we expect to see you in five weeks’ time from the date of this letter (10/01/201X) and will wish you the best of luck in the tournament!
Signed by: The Aureolian Event Council, Zephan Asterope Ulima and Lily Mariel.”

First off, the rules:
1. No legendries/mythicals/UBs, megas or Z-moves.
2. Your character must use five or six Pokémon for this, preferably six.
3. No forcing hits on other’s Pokémon, the owner of the Pokémon decides what hits and what doesn’t.
3a. However, do not dodge every attack, make it so you get hit at times!
4. No one-liners, I know this is a tournament RP, but you can at least try to describe how the Pokémon used the attack.
5. Maximum of two shinies or somewhat shiny-like coloured Pokémon.
6. Maximum of one character per person.
7. The hometown can be from any canon region or from this list of Aureolian cities/towns.
8. A Pokémon’s “Favourite Move(s)” are supposed to be moves that a Pokémon uses often that are learnt at a low-ish level in-game or before they evolve. A Pokémon can have up to two favourite moves.
8a. A Pokémon can however use as many moves as they like provided they can learn the move normally or have a good reason for knowing the move.
9. No Mary Sues/Stus, that just takes away the fun of RP’ing.
10. I’ll close sign ups if there can be at least four rounds with even amount of participants.
10a. The brackets will be randomised for the first round, but not in any rounds after that.
11. You can use Fakémon that you have made or are in the Aureolis Pokédex; if it's one of mine, I'll PM you all the necessary details, if it's one your's, please PM me all the necessary details.
11a. No legendary/mythical Fakémon, that goes without saying since it would technically break the first rule, but I think it has to be stated clearly; Solagem, Metalicar, Solaray and Fairaning are the legendaries/mythical in the Aureolis Pokédex and thus cannot be used.
