Finion brought his goggles over his eyes as the two moves collided, not needing to look away from the dust that could've potentially spread further. His attention turned to Toby when the Jhotonian started talking, Finion listening carefully to the other trainer's words before huffing and looking back to the pitch. Toby was just playing with him, trying to get in his head and trip him up. Toby was attacking on two fronts whilst Finion had already found himself in a defensive position.
"Roger, Night slash at the ready and be vigilant!" A thick stick of purple energy began to form in the Bisharp's hand, stretching past it's typical length for other Pokemon and becoming a staff rather than a baton. Shiori may notice that this way of using the move Nightslash was very typical of another one of Finion's Pokemon, one that could mask it's appearance.
Finion knew Toby was up to something, Gengar was a tricky Pokemon and a good trainer took advantage of that- no, worked with it, reflected it. "Stay on the move, wall to wall!" Roger held the lengthy night slash in both hands, beginning to move along the wall it was perched on. The top of the walls sat just above the dust clouds, becoming thin islands in a sea of potential attack. Roger came close to the edge, looking around him whilst still moving with expert balance. He jumped off the wall, sailing through the air above the cloud of dust and landing on a different wall. Once again he looked around, keeping his cool and staying focused.
