Alright let's see how this goes.

The year is 2023, Harry Potter defeated Lord Voldemort 25 years ago and the wizarding world moved on. Many things returned to how they were but many things were improved upon as well. Muggles are now almost completely aware of the wizarding world and the two communities live in tandem. Laws concerning the use of magic around muggles have been all but abolished and muggles have even been allowed to take residence in Hogsmeade, however hogwarts itself remains a school for witches and wizards.

Your character will be a student at Hogwarts, you don't have to be a first year but can be if you desire.

An ancient curse has been unearthed, in Hogsmeade by a group of muggle hating wizards who's ideology has been passed down by ex-death eaters. Will the students be able to stop the curse and could the words "those without" found within the ancient riddle be referring to muggles, could they possible need the aid of someone without magic.

• Romance is allowed but keep it pg
• Violence is allowed but no excessive gore
• don't make your character too overpowered
• You can be related to canon characters, except for Harry, Ron and Hermione
• Maximum of three characters (excluding faculty)
• Include the words "Mischief Managed" somewhere in your bio to prove you've read the rules.

Based on various sources I compiled the fates of a few canon characters;
Hermione Granger eventually became the Minister of Magic leading the way to the cohabitation with muggles that is seen today.
Harry Potter achieved his dream and became an Auror, eventually becoming Head Auror and eventually Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, he does however also teach DADA at hogwarts when not on duty as an Auror.
Ron Weasley followed in his best friends footsteps and also became an Auror, but eventually decided that it wasnt for him and decided to work at Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes with his brother George.
Ginny Potter dedicated herself to Quidditch and soon became a very successful professional Quidditch player, after retiring she became a sports editor for a magazine.
Neville Longbottom also went down the Auror route before, leaving and becoming the Herbology professor at hogwarts and eventually the Head of Gryffindor House.

Personality: Professor Foxglove is caring, thoughtful and enthusiastic. He absolutely adores his job and loves to teach students all that he can. He loves to read and is always a hoot at parties. He is usually pretty laidback as a teacher but isn't against handing out punishments to those that deserve them. He is a very capable wizard with a particular affinity for Transfiguration.
Backstory: Daniel Foxglove was born to two muggle parents and was highly excited to receive his letter to hogwarts. He joined hogwarts a year after the great Harry Potter and heard whispers and mentions of him the whole way through his school life. He focused hard on his studies and during his fifth year he undertook the process to becoming an animals after learning about it from Professor Magonagal, disoveringnhis animagus was that of a fox, a form he found highly ironic. During the battle of hogwarts he aided his fellow witches and wizards by delivery Potions and messages back and forth, he was however injured by the witch Bellatrix Lestrange who blew off his front leg while he was running about in fox form. He continued on and finished his schooling once the war was over and started work at the three brromsticks in Hogsmeade. When he turned 25 he got the position of Transfiguration Professor at hogwarts and a few years later he became Head of Hufflepuff.
Other: Professor Foxglove is an fox animagus and also has a prosthetic arm.

Personality: A sweet girl with a highly optimistic outlook on life. She always tries to be positive and happy, always seeming to have a smile on her face. She loves to study and is very fond of Quidditch and flying on her broom. She has a tendancy to bottle up her emotions only letting the positive ones out and shutting all the bad thoughts and feelings away, causing to have the occasional emotional meltdown.
Backstory: Daisy grew up in a loving home with her wizard father and muggle mother, until her mother died of cancer when Daisy was 5, her father remarried a year later, marrying a influential witch by the name of Sarah Thornwood a ministry employee with a very good social standing. She would often shout at and discipline Daisy if she cried or got angry telling her that she should always smile and be polite. This only got worse when her father was killed during one of his outings as an Auror, working under Harry Potter, she was 9 at the time. She was then raised by her stepmother to be the perfect social girl. She was taught how to introduce herself politely and to never raise her voice at anyone, never cry in public and never be rude to anyone of higher standing than her. She began to hold feelings of resentment for her stepmother for the way she acted as well as feeling of resentment for Harry Potter for taking her father from her, although it wasn't his fault her father was an Auror but her stepmother twisted lessons caused her to feel resentment in extreme and misplaced ways.

Personality: Pom isn't your typical girly girl despite being part Veela and very pretty, she enjoys hanging out with friends and exercising as well as practicing magic. She hates studying though and hates all the attention she gets from people due to her genetics. She does hope to find someone to feel for but she can never be sure of people's feeling due to her heritage. She tends to get into fights easily and often resorts to violence when random guys confess to her, in an attempt to make people think differently about her. She is particularly skilled at DADA.
Backstory: Pom's mother was a French witch and her father was a British wizard, she grew up in England and didn't discover she inherited the Veela gene until she was 7 and discovered she could get most boys to do anything she asked, her mother was half veela and didn't know how to help Pom, but Pom's grandmother had inherited the traits and tried to educate Pom on what being half Vella entailed. She had a pretty good upbringing and her parents would always be disappointed but pretty understanding when ever she got sent home after having beaten up a boy or too when they got too obsessed. Upon going to hogwarts she discovered that being around wizards and witches was a little better as some seemed to be able to resist her powers but not entirely, they were still overly nice to her but didn't do everything she asked, of course some still did and she did get into the occasional fight.

Personality: A gentle and polite guy, Sorin is trying his best to not be like his parents although the entitled snob deep inside him does slip out on occasion when he is mad or afraid. He enjoys herbology and studying Magical Creatures. He likes a good laugh and hanging out with mates. His favourite pastime is to fly around Hogsmeade and take in the surroundings from the roof of the Three Broomsticks.
Backstory: Sorin's parents are both high class purebloods with lots of money and power, his grandfather on his mother's side had apparently been a follower of Voldemort but his parents didn't like to speak about it much fearing people would find out, as he had never been arrested for his involvement having gone into hiding and passing away. Sorin was always told to think of himself as better than those of half-blood or muggleborn families, but he never took that viewpoint to heart, much to his parents disappointment, he spent his time at hogwarts trying to make friends and be inclusive whilst studying hard and practicing as much as he could, in his sixth year he became an animagus and got documented using his transformation to get alone time when his parents were a little too much to handle. Against his parents wishes he plans to work in Hogsmeade when he finishes Hogwarts.
Other: Sorin's animagus form is a raven.

She’s fairly tolerant and quite open-minded, but she can’t stand a bully or someone who’s lazy. She’s quite emotionally aware and is excellent at determining cause and effect.
Backstory: Sloane hails from Ireland, but her family is far from homogenous. While two siblings isn’t a lot, Sloane’s parents have a lot more than that, and the marriages and splits on both sides are wild. The entire family lives within a 20 minute drive of the furthest member, and this has resulted in Sloane being well acquainted with a whole slew of cousins, aunts, and uncles from a wide variety of backgrounds. Dealing with familial drama grew Sloane’s emotional maturity by leaps and bounds ahead of her peers, and despite the tension between certain family branches, she somehow found ways to be on good terms with most if not all of them. There’s been at least one of Sloane’s cousins in every Hogwarts house (or so she’s quite sure of, though it hasn’t been confirmed).
Other: Sloane’s favorite subject is Potions.

He will help people when he can, and can hold a determined look even when the rest of the group is going 'Oh Crap!' He is oddly good with Tranfiguration, and his Defense against the Dark Arts is second to Transfiguration. He can be wise beyond his years from time to time, and have an out-of-the box solution to a problem.



Backstory: Darius was born to an Auror and his wife as their last child around June 2007. When he was 2 and a half, in early 2010, his father Died doing work for the Aurors. He then grew up with his two sisters and one brother, eventually going to Hogwarts, but when they were visiting family, a wand chose him. He was sorted into Gryffindor four years ago and is now looking into why he's in Gryffindor.

Backstory: 200 years before Polaris was born, an Ancestor of Polaris Boot had been Cursed after winning a Duel with the curser's brother. This curse would hide itself from to parent to child throughout the next 200 years. When Polaris was born, she was born with a strange mark on the right side of her chest. The Wizard Medical team realized that she had a Blood Malediction, a curse that tends to pass from Ancestor to descendant. As such, she was kept an eye on since Blood Maledictions are known to weaken people's bodies. As such, she didn't do as much playing as other kids her age. However she had picked up drawing and art as a child and is very good at it. She can be seen doodling if bored. When she turned 11, she got her letter like other wizards, and got sorted into Hufflepuff. She was recruited for Quidditch, however not in the way you'd expect, she is the student Announcer.

Other: Her curse makes her body frailer than it looks, which is why I went with Student Announcer for Quidditch. The house Prefect in her second was the one to suggest Her Announcing for the games. Mischief Managed.

A. A Transfer Student from Mahoutokoro (Japan's School of Wizardry) who would be in Ravenclaw for sure. He'd probably have some knowledge of stuff that most third years are studying due to having four years of extra classes.

Wand: Hazel Wood, 14¾", Phoenix Feather Core. Note that this wand is unyielding.

Appearance: Melvin is a Mix of English and Montenegrin, being that his mother hailed from Montenegro. He currently stands about 4'7" and is average for an a 11 year old boy. His green eyes show a lot of light for such a young wizard. He has dark hair seen in those of mostly Montenegrin blood. When not in unform, he tends to wear clothes fitting of the season.

Personality: Mel is a very bold and brave Individual however, he is as equally studious and Creative. He is rather accepting of others, and will make sure that no one gets left out. He can throw Witty remarks as deemed necessary. Being that most solutions are out of the box, he can think rather creatively, but he needs focus to do so.

Backstory: Melvin Helvetios McGregor II was born to a Ministry Administrative assistant who serves Minister Hermonie Granger directly and his wife. He would rarely see his father as he was working a lot. He was the middle child of nine. His oldest brother was born in '99, so there was a pretty significant age difference, his youngest sibling is currently 3. He had a lot of people helping too. He met the Minister of Magic when he was 8. When he turned 11, he received his letter. He then got everything he needed, and brought a cat named Muffins.

Personality: Giichi is fun to be around, not only because he is friendly and can come up with a joke for just about anything, but also because he's what you would call a free spirit. He's mostly extroverted, but wouldn't mind some time alone. He also gets excited easily. Unfortunately, he doesn't do the best around girls, which is fine. Mischief managed.
Backstory: Giichi was a pretty average Japanese kid. Always wanting to play and have fun. What he didn't know is that the chaos inside him would be more problematic as he got older. Eventually, he got an invitation letter from Hogwarts and, ecstatic, agreed to attend.
Other: He is probably the morally best guy you'll ever know, as he combines a good heart with a free spirit and adds a little fun to the mix.

Appearance:

Personality: Dean is almost the epitome of speed. He's thrilled by high-speed chases, Quidditch games and anything that demands speed. Most of that comes from the fact that he was constantly chased by bullies before he came to Hogwarts. He's not exactly the most sociable person, but he doesn't mind social interactions. He's also friendly and approachable and will offer help to anyone who needs it. And he only ever opens his eyes to focus. He also kinda needs some mischief managed (probably because he pulls WAY too many pranks).
Backstory: As a kid, he was above average at just about everything. He had lots of friends, got his work done faster and more accurate than everyone else, all that sort of stuff. Unfortunately, that means he also attracted more abilities, which fueled his love of speed. Eventually, he came to Hogwarts and, well, you know the rest.
Other: He doesn't hold many grudges against certain people, but those he does, he forgets until he sees that person. Oh, and he's from Australia.

personality: Much like Procyon's family, he's an odd child. Though even in his own family, he sticks out as particularly odd. He behaves strangely at times, but overall is a friendly outgoing boy and is happy to lend a hand. Loves sharing his creative ideas

skills: broom flying. Growing up in a broom making family, he has a lot of knowledge of broom history as well as skills flying them. Though his methods of riding a broom are a bit unorthodox, due to his father's teaching.

HISTORY
bio: Procyon grew up in a broomstick crafting family. His family has made broomsticks for many generations. The brooms they make are called "Eccelor". Their newest broom is called "Eccelor 415". Procyon's father(Aldebaran) is a brilliant, but somewhat reclusive man. Not to be mistaken for antisocial as his father is simply a man who enjoys throwing himself into his work. Procyon's grandfather(Capella) was a much more social man than Aldebaran, but because of Aldebaran's dedication the quality of his work speaks for itself. Which is why Aldebaran is the family patriarch despite being the second eldest child. A fact that is older brother(Rigel), a pure blood supremacist is envious of. Despite this he has accepted his position as adviser in the family hierarchy ,but openly disapproves of his brother's fair treatment of non-purebloods.

Procyon's older brother(Cyrus) is next in line to take over the family business. He lacks his father Aldebaran's brilliance, but makes up for it in being cunning ,and business savvy. Denabola is the wife of Aldebaran. She is a clean freak ,and perfectionist. Everything has to be neat, organized, and done just right. She helps keep Aldebaran's reclusive antics in check. Lastly is Procyon's younger sister Vega who is the most antisocial member of the family. She would much rather spend time in the family forest with the animals surrounded by nature.

In the middle of this is Procyon whom simply wants to learn whatever fancies his interests at that moment which usually means experimenting with random potion ingredients ,or observing animals in their natural habitats. He has quite the skill in chess ,and is an overall skilled strategist which is why when he plays quidditch he plays as keeper to utilize his strategy skills most effectively. Because Procyon is a sheltered boy he can be gullible at times ,but has been slowly growing out of that with time and experience.

Pet - Saltus - Dragon Toad(Despite the namesake, Dragon Toads cannot breath fire or behave as dragons do, but have scaley features similar to a dragon to defend against predators. They pose little threat to anything other than the insects it eats) Saltus is a brilliant orange toad with a bright scarlet underbelly and piercing gold eyes.
