Alright, if a couple more people agree we can switch to it! @Hecotoro you can switch one of the twins to a different event if you would like while the other stays at 3v3 singlesSo we have a 3v3 that is basically a triple fight with all 6 Pokemon on the field (3 from each opponent), and then we have a more 3v3 singles fight where only 2 Pokemon are out at once (1 from each opponent).
That sounds better :3 if we do this, I'll give Sarah more Pokemon. We can probably call it 3v3 Singles while the other can be called 3v3 Triple
Yep! But feel free to move Azumi To another teamOkay I can leave Maker, but that means there is no more slots for Kalos right?
If you want you can bend the rules and say she currently lives in a different region. I know how much you like her (and so do I) so I wouldn’t feel right making you get rid of her.It wouldn't make sense because she is a twin, can't be born in different places. I will just take her out and make a new character for another region.
Hey another Slateport resident! Accepted under the condition that you make him a bit older.... I believe everyone in this rp also agrees that the notion of trainers beating gyms at age 10 is pretty insane so we’ve all tried to stick to at least 16+I did it. Only took an hour lol.Name: Corsen Smith (I'm running out of names here.)
Age: 13
Gender: Male
Appearance: Black hair that he leaves sticking up and forward, a light tan, and hazel eyes.
Outfit: a dark gray polo (He leaves the collar up.) and a black jacket that's probably two sizes too big. (He has the sleeves rolled up. He likes the way it hangs off, and rarely takes the jacket off, even in scorchingly hot weather.) He carries his Pokeballs on a leather belt, and makes sure that they are always in a specific order, as he relies on muscle memory to pick who will go into battle. He wars black sweatpants and red sneakers, and well as a silver watch.
Personality: Somewhat shy, but opens up after a conversation or two. He takes rivalships seriously, and refuses to go all out until it "matters the most." He has too much pride, and can get antisocial and seclusive all of the sudden. He usually doesn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings, but doesn't intend to make strong bond with anyone he might end up fighting. He refuses to put his pride on the shelf, which often leads to him losing because he refuses to use a strategy that's not his. He's friendly towards his Pokemon, and doesn't exactly approve of Mega-evolution, Life Orbs, or andy of the health draining items like such. (Mega evo. is an exception. He just doesn't like the thought of forcing his Pokemon to overload themselves with power. Unless the Pokemon has actual consent, Corsen views such trainers as power hungry.)
Hometown: Slateport City, Hoenn
Team: Hoenn Eons
Event: 3v3s
Competitive Pokémon:
Companion Pokémon: MinunSo, uh... I kinda tripped right here, not gonna lie... do say something if I did something wrong.
Pokemon: Blaziken
Nickname: Kasai
Ability: Speed Boost
Item: Fighting Plate
Notes: Blaziken was his starter at the beginning of Corsen's journey. They're quite close, and Blaziken picked up on Corsen's habits, often copying Corsen's movements.
Moves:
-Power-up Punch
-Blaze Kick
-Low Kick
-Thunder Punch
Pokemon: Salamence
Nickname: Baku
Ability: Moxie
Item: Focus Sash
Notes: Salamence has only been with Corsen for about a year now. Baku still tends to have a rebellious streak, so Corsen won't call on him unless there's an emergency. Unless Kasai is out. Then Corsen will often send Baku out to support Kasai with a Tailwind.
Moves:
-Rock Slide
-Earthquake
-Dragon Tail
-Tailwind
Pokemon: Zoroark
Nickname: Arkham
Ability: Illusion
Item: Black Glasses
Notes: Zoroark was traded to Corsen as a Zorua shortly after he obtained Brawly's Gym Badge (His second badge)
Moves:
-Night Slash
-Extrasensory
-Focus Blast
-Shadow Ball
Pokemon: Metagross
Nickname: N/A
Ability: Clear Body
Item: Metal Coat
Notes: Metagross and Corsen haven't been partners for very long, so Metagross will often hesitate to attack if they're about to faint.
Moves:
-Bullet Punch
-Meteor Mash
-Psychic
-Hammer Arm
Backstory: He hasn't been too far around the block. He completed the Gym trials, but never passed the Hoenn championships.
He set out on his Pokemon quest at the age of ten, like most people. He chose Torchic as his starter, and had a smooth run. It took him about two years to pass the Gym Trials, as he often took breaks and "vacations" to sightsee, and it stacked up. In the end however, he passed the trials and went onto the Hoenn Championships, failing pretty hard after he was crushed by another trainer sometime around the final 16 mark. After the defeat, which hadn't bothered Corsen all too much, he returned home for a couple of months before leaving.
While he was home, the defeat had started out as an 'oh well' kind of scenario. He was still considered a strong trainer, as it was the final 16, but as time went on, it clawed at him more and more. He eventually decided that it was time to do something about his itch. He left only a month after returning to focus on training his partners. After he decided he was ready, he left Slateport to test out his new strengths. By this time, in only two months, he had become someone with too much pride. He refused help during his trainings, and eventually left the gyms to train in various environments. He returned home the day of his 13th birthday, and is often back and forth between home and whatever training grounds he thinks are suitable.
Alright, I fixed that.Hey another Slateport resident! Accepted under the condition that you make him a bit older.... I believe everyone in this rp also agrees that the notion of trainers beating gyms at age 10 is pretty insane so we’ve all tried to stick to at least 16+
Looks great, Accepted!I can make another character. :3 Will this do?
Name: Bishop (I couldn't think of a surname, sorry.)
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Appearance: A slight tan, brown eyes, and black hair. (For the first time in a good while I have a reference. The short and tousled hair from UM/US)
Outfit: A black polo shirt (He keeps the collar up.) Black (again, dunno if there's a difference but male) capris, a white backpack (Where he keeps his stuff, idk...) and white sneakers.
Personality: Pretty chatty, though he doesn't like fighting his own friends.
Hometown: Malie City
Team: Alola Ultras
Event: 1v1s
Competitive Pokémon:
Pokemon: Lycanroc (Midnight)
Nickname: Lycan
Ability: Keen Eye
Item: Lycanium Z
Notes: A small scar etched beneath its left eye. He has a pretty short temper, and tends to use head-butting moves more that anything else.
Moves:
Iron Head
Stone Edge
Zen Headbutt
Hyper Voice
Companion Pokémon: N/A
Backstory: He started his journey at the age of 10 (like most any trainer) after being given an egg that hatched into a Rockruff. He set out, completed the Trials, and challenged the league. He failed somewhere around the Semi-finals after his Lycanroc threw a temper tantrum. Of course, his other Pokemon were fainted at the time, so after Lycanroc fell out of 's control, it ended with the other trainer easily wipe out Lycanroc. After the league, he set his other Pokemon aside and focused on Lycanroc's temper. It helped, but not much. Lycanroc's temper is still very short.
Yep, the change is going to require some people to adjust... sorry. None of you need to change backstories just please change teamsI noticed for Kalos, the limit has been passed if your changing it. Cause your making it to 5 different categories, but there are 6 in Kalos.
@WildFlower I'm removing Azumi and making a new character for another team.
Yay! AcceptedHere's another character!
Name: Leon Wisteria
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Appearance: Leon has sandy-blond hair, with eyes that could be classified as either green or hazel, depending on one's perspective. He is tall, but not particularly muscular, given his somewhat lackadaisical approach to excercise.
Outfit: Leon's outfit is a curious amalgamation of formalities. He is determined to show that he is taking this seriously, so he wears a polo shirt and khakis, but he isn't confident enough to forgo his old and rumpled "lucky sweatshirt," with the words "Driftveil City" on it. He carries the majority of his stuff in a backpack that is beginning to fall apart - and in fact has been repaired a number of times - but he refuses to buy a new one, partially due to a misplaced sentimentality.
Personality: Leon is an all-around nice fellow, trying to help out wherever possible. However, the failures in his past have led him to doubt himself, and he worries that he will fail in his endeavors. When it comes to battle, any planning that he may have done goes out the window at the first sign of trouble, and he begins to rely on his instincts, which may or may not lead him to victory.
Hometown: Driftveil City
Team: Unova Swords
Event: 3v3 Singles
Backstory: Some people were born champions - prodigies if you will. These people succeed effortlessly, defeating gym after gym in a tidal wave of innate skill. Leon is the polar opposite of these people. He was born a failure, constantly struggling to achieve anything for himself, and taking years to earn his first badge. However, over time he improved, gradually becoming better and better until he stood before the Unova Elite Four. He was unable to defeat them at that time, but his sheer perseverance and tenacity impressed one member of the Elite Four, who took on Leon as an apprentice. Nowadays, Leon is still shocked by how far he has progressed, from a struggling youngster to someone capable of representing his region in a major tournament.
Pokemon: Cinccino
Nickname: Juan
Ability: Skill Link
Item: Silk Scarf (it's a vivid scarlet)
Notes: Juan is Leon's starter Pokemon, and has had to tolerate his trainer for all of that time. Juan is in many ways, the opposite to Leon - obsessively tidy, entirely organized, and naturally talented - but somehow the two of them became fast friends, standing together no matter what adversity may face them. When Juan battles, Leon usually lets him do his thing, rather than interfering with his own commands.
Moves: Double Team, Tail Slap, Last Resort, Swift, Knock Off, Sing, Wake-Up Slap
Pokemon: Gyarados
Nickname: Henry
Ability: Intimidate
Item: Muscle Band
Notes: Henry is the first Pokemon that Leon caught. Though the little Magikarp was undeniably very weak, he would fight until the very end, rarely doing anything of value. Over the course of Leon's journey, Henry was an inspiration to Leon, reminding him to never throw in the towel, even during times when Leon was considering quitting being a trainer. Now, Henry is a formidable Pokemon - a larger than average Gyarados - who still refuses to stop fighting until he can no longer get up.
Moves: Outrage, Waterfall, Hyper Beam, Crunch, Earthquake, Bind, Ice Fang, Iron Tail
Pokemon: Krookodile
Nickname: Pete
Ability: Moxie
Item: Soft Sand
Notes: Pete was caught later on in Leon's journey, so they haven't spent much time together. However, he is still enough of a powerhouse that Leon feels justified in using him for this tournament.
Moves: Dig, Earthquake, Crunch, Throat Chop, Superpower, Foul Play, Dragon Claw, Giga Impact
