"No you can't, so that's why you have to take what you can get..." Zack said, though more to himself than anything before he grinned and spoke up. "...actually, I think I'll end my turn there." Zack said, as he seemed to be satisfied with this move though he knew he had not escaped peril just yet. Still, he seemed confident in his ability to work his way out of this hole he was placed in.

Willow protected her eyes as Octavius landed, before lowering her arm and bowing in a similar fashion as Equeste did. "My name is Willow Bretton, sir. My intentions are not malevolent, I stumbled upon this arena by accident and decided to make the most of my situation by sparring against Gladiator Beast Equeste, for which I am very thankful. Apologies if I caused any suspicions, I have no harm in mind." The Slifer Red said, actually feeling pretty intimidated by Octavius. She didn't own Octavius as a card, but she was well aware of its 2500 attack. Even if she wasn't, the body of Octavius just oozed strength.

"During your end phase, I activate my face-down card! Powerhold the Moving Battery!" Bob's face-down card was revealed, summoning a large machine monster with an impressive cannon and a slot on its stomach. As if his costume from Duel Monsters Spirit Day came to life, the trap monster let out a guttural clanging sound. "When Powerhold is summoned, I can equip a Gadget monster from my deck to Powerhold and it gains double the attack of that Gadget! I equip my second Green Gadget to Powerhold!" A Green Gadget showed up, shrinking down and entering the slot on Powerhold's stomach. "Powerhold now has 2800 attack! I start my turn, draw!"

Bob looked at his newly drawn card and put it on his duel disk. "I normal summon Mechanicalchaser in attack position!" A green orb arrived on the field, only for six legs with weapons, a tail with a sword, two green wings and a small yellow head to pop out of it, revealing its true identity and 1850 attack stat. "I attack your face-down monster with Dread Dynamo! Dynamo Punch! As for Ordeal of the Traveller, I choose Spell card!"

That equip seemed set to make a mess of the situation, and as he declared his attack it seemed indeed his luck was back in form as Zack had been forced to reveal the Spell Card, Sparks, from his hand as Zack shrugged. "Correct guess..."

However, when the face-down monster was attacked, Bob's monster soon found stubborn resistance as Battle Footballer rose and used a defensive stance to push back Boot-Up Soldier's attack!

"Want to finish me you are gonna have to give me all you've got~" Zack mused, though he recognized he was in a bit of a awkward situation. All his cards had been revealed, and there was a wave of monsters that had yet to strike but it seemed he remained all defiant all the same.

"Sparks, huh?" Bob was confused as to why Zack was playing that card when there were so many better burn cards like Tremendous Fire, but he was not one to judge. "I attack Cataclysmic Scorching Sunburner with Gold Gadget! Metalmorph activates as well! When a monster equipped with Metalmorph attacks a monster, it gains half of that monster's attack during damage calculation! Since Sunburner has 2600 attack, my gadget gains 1300 attack and has 3300 attack! Since I know you have Sparks in hand, I call spell card and continue to battle! Metal Claw!"

Gold Gadget's claw grew as the machine slashed at the flaming fairy, destroying it and inflicting 700 damage to Zack.

"Powerhold also attacks this turn, attacking Battle Footballer! Sol Cannon! I also call spell for Ordeal!" Powerhold charged its laser cannon before firing it at Battle Footballer.

"Lastly, Mechanicalchaser attacks you directly for 1850!" Mechanicalchaser flew over towards Zack before trying to slash at the boy with its sword.

"I end my turn. Let's see you make a comeback from that."

Maya whistled as she watched the assault Bob unleashed at Zack. "Not bad, not bad at all. Though depending on the strength of his set monster, he could've finished it this turn."

Octavius glared down at Willow, his birdlike expression making him difficult to read. His talon scraped against the stone of the arena seating.
"We do not usually allow strangers to enter our arena. But you have shown to fight with honor. And even moreso, the Gladiators that you lead are following you of their own volition." Octavius said. "Thusly, you have proven yourself worthy. I shall believe your claims for now, Tamer. But should they prove to be deceptions... I will not hesitate to protect those that follow me."

With that warning, Octavius took to the air and flew over the arena once again. Equeste stood up and looked back over to Willow, offering the girl a smile.
"That went well." Equeste said. "All things considered, that is."

Dahlia raised an eyebrow at the revealed card. Sparks? Not exactly a common card to be put into a deck. Either it was in there for fun... or it was in there because it needed to be. Did Zack only barely have enough cards for a deck, that he would resort to using Sparks? Dahlia nodded along with what Maya was saying.
"Looks like he's pulling off a comeback. Still, we don't know what other cards Zack has lurking in his deck. He could still pull off something to reverse the turnaround... But my money would be on Bob taking the win." Dahlia said. Tracy, meanwhile, continued to cheer for Bob.

"Hummmm..."

"Somethin' wrong Weasel?"

"Can't help but feel like I'm forgetting something awfully important...gosh! What could that be?" The childish leader questioned.

"...T-T-That we haven't been clued in to your plan with this Zack guy?"

"I said important dear Bix." Weasel rolled his eyes. "Speaking of...shouldn't our resident convict have finished off that backstabbing balooga Bob already? Let's go find out the results!"

"O-Oh yeah! Now we get to see if he uh...what was he doing again?"

"Crushing Bob's Spirit into dust." Weasel snickered coldly. "Only then can I have no hiccups in my elaborate prankster plan."

"Well then, let's go and find out." Braxer nodded, taking Bix with him behind Weasel.

They made their way to the beachhead, trying to scope out where exactly the duel was taking place. However, that would soon be found easy, as they found gadgets had filled the setting just ahead, littering the field. If Weasel remembered correctly...that was Bob's calling card.

What his chosen Hunter...losing?

Willow looked at Equeste, still in shock of what just happened. "That went well? I thought I was going to be attacked, I've never met anyone as intimidating as Octavius." The girl let out a sigh of relief before putting her hands on her hips. "I suppose it is a good quality to have as a leader, and the will to protect everyone is certainly something to be impressed by. Since I'm here, I might as well try and learn something personality-wise."

Yeah this was not gonna be fun.

Zack had little he could do but just take it on the chin, slowly his monsters were waddled down and he had been made to take a blow from Mechanical Chaser to the chin as he slashed at Zack and he had his life take a sever hit to his life points.

Needless to say, this scenario had taken quite the turn. He had ignored the outside comments or views of the spectators, as if he failed to find some answer soon he'd be finished on Bob's next turn.

"If I do managed to get a comeback, just know I will never let you live this down~" Zack answered, somewhat sarcastically but with a degree of truth as he none the less knew he had to make a move.

"My turn, draw." Zack called out, as he drew a card from his deck, and scanned it carefully. Seemed he pulled an interesting card if nothing else, and with no other play on hand he moved to go big or go home as they say.

"I summon Royal Firestorm Guards, in Attack Mode!" Zack called out, and as the sand seemed to produced this reptilian demon as it roared out behind a coat of flames and gazed at Bob's field with intensity.

Royal Firestorm Guards
4-Star, FIRE
Pyro/Effect
1700 ATK/1200 DEF

"Yeah yeah yeah, all fine and dandy. That is a big if though. Your monster cannot beat over my lowest attack monster which is Mechanicalchaser. How will this monster help you?" Bob said, crossing his arms. He expected some kind of burn damage effect, perhaps half of the monster's attack? Even if that was the case, it could not do enough damage coupled with Sparks. That being said, he knew better than to be dismissive of seemingly weak monsters and Royal Firestorm Guards actually had a respectable statline.

Equeste chuckled.
"Yes, Octavius is more on the gruff side. I have no doubt that if he had sensed you were forcing your gladiators to fight, he would have stuck you down then and there. We don't exactly have a good track record with being commanded by those that aren't Gladiator Beasts themselves." Equeste said. "Still, you managed to keep you cool, as well as speak truthfully and respectfully. And that goes a long way here."

The winged centaur-like Gladiator Beast flew over to the seating area where Octavius and just been, taking off his summoning disk and setting it aside.
"You said you wanted to learn something?" Equeste inquired.

"You are right, and the best part is I can't use its effect either. I need 4 Pyro-monsters in my Graveyard, and sadly I only have two..." Zack mused, yet he seemed to have a smile on his face. Why would he be smiling? On Bob's next turn his field would wipe Zack's clean off the face of the Earth, and Zack would lose the duel so it seemed to be a baffling statement to make. Zack glanced out of the corner of his eye, seemed Weasel had decided to observe this for himself, which made what happened next interesting.

"And now....I give up." Zack said, almost with a casual tone as he set his hand on top of his deck. The universal sign of surrender, which caused his holograms to fade just like that. "Good game~"

"Wat."

Weasel stood, befuddled at what happened. Did his chosen spirit crippler just fail? And give up no less? Talk about totally failing his job! Weasel gave a single scoff, turning his heel and shrugging.

"Oh well, I gotta do some thinkin' about this one. Yo, you two. Bring that guy to me and make it snappy, cartoons come in ten minutes."

"Ight!"

"Y-Yes sir!"

They both saluted before marching Over to Zack. It was gonna be a quick minute as he was a bit further away. The pair stumbled down the hill, going over to have a little talk with him. Meanwhile Weasel saw himself out, snickering. If a toy refused to be played with...they always made good sounds when they break.

Though initially quite interested in the duel between his new mate, Bob, and a Slifer boy whom Bob seemed to consider the Devil Incarnate, Jacques had finished re-constructing his deck during the back-and-forth; with his own task complete and his interest waning, Jacques lay back on the sand and closed his eyes, snoozing lightly over the sounds of holograms duking it out in the ongoing battle. And napped the carefree Ra did, until his ears perked up at the sound of Zack's surrender; moreso, the sounds of two duel disks deactivating.

As he sat up, the blurry-eyed Jacques looked toward the horizon, catching a faraway glimpse at the devious Weasel and his two cronies. Shaking his head like a dog caught in the rain would its body, Jacques rattled his mind back awake from its daze. Though the third boy had gone, the Ra could see the other two stomping through the sands.

Jacques turned his head away, back toward Bob and Zack, standing and stretching his long body out, this time like a cat stretching out in the sunlight.

"Ah quite the du-el!" He said with a grin, stuffing his deck back into his satchel as he strode in between the Ra and Slifer foes, "A wee bit long for my tastes but fun in-deed, non? What bet-ter a way to end a nice day at the beach?"

An....interesting conclusion, to say the least. "O-okay, didn't expect that. Good game I guess, you did some nasty burn damage. Maybe you could've lived another turn if you kept Royal Firestorm Guards in hand? That would've forced me to risk a 50/50 each time I attacked, perhaps it could have mattered. It doesn't really matter though, well played." Bob started to put his cards back in his deck, but checked his next draw first. Jinzo. Okay, so he would have won next turn anyway. Oh well, he could keep it a secret for now.

"Woohoo! Well done, guys!" Maya started applauding and cheered for the two duelists, having enjoyed the match and gotten a nice view of both their decks. As Jacques made his presence known again, the girl cupped her chin. "Hmm, how about one last dive? That should be a good way to end things, no?"

--------------------

"Uh, yeah. You said you didn't have the best track record with non-Gladiator Beast commanders, what did you mean by that? I get that it might be private information, but I thought that it might help me learn how to behave around my Gladiator Beasts." Willow said, scratching the nape of her neck as she looked down.

Rubbing the drowsiness from his eyes with the knuckle on his right fist, Jacques half-yawned/half-smiled as Maya approached the now trio of boys. To tell the truth, he hadn't quite remembered what had compelled him to join the group in the first place. Something about him needing to relax -- as if he didn't already do quite enough of that. The day felt...fruitful, though, after everything.

"Ah, av' cours'," He replied, stretching his back and arms out again, as if he'd slept in ice for a decade and really had to get it all out. Overtly sleepy on the exterior, though, in Jacques's head, all he could see were the cards in his deck, new and old alike, as he ran through them a hundred times over again, "I mean, who wood we be, say-eeng no to zuch a re-quest from ze' la-dy?"

Equeste shook his head and waved a hand.
"No, it's not private information. There's been a few times in our history when others have tried to control us, to use us, to enslave us. Sometimes it was to force us to fight for their entertainment. Sometimes it was to force us to fight in whatever conflict they were embroiled in. Some were successful in that cause... But never for long. If we are to fight, it will be for something we believe in. Or in the case of fighting for entertainment, something that we are the ones leading and not at the whims of others." Equeste said. He offered Willow a comforting smile.
"So if your Gladiators are fighting for you... It means they believe in you." Equeste said.

"All right! Awesome job, Bob!" Tracy exclaimed. The Ra Yellow made her way out of the water, approaching her friend and giving him a thumbs up. "That first flood onto the field was amazing! And Blowback Dragon and Powerhold were great!"
Still smiling happily, Tracy turned towards Zack.
"And you did fantastic too! That monster, Sunburner, is really neat! You've got a lot of skill." Tracy said to Zack. Seeing movement out of the corner of her eye, Tracy looked over to see Bix and Braxer approaching. And they certainly didn't look like they were here to swim. Almost instantly Tracy good mood soured, and she watched with concern as Bix and Braxer approached.

"That's horrible!" Willow exclaimed, genuinely upset by the news. "You are not just tools to be used, you are living, breathing people! I don't care about the right terminology right now, you are sentient lifeforms with free will. No one should be enslaved or controlled against their will, that's just terrible! The Gladiators who fight alongside me will never be subjugated to such treatment, I will not allow it to happen!" The Slifer Red student was riled up by the information, having forgotten that she was basically just talking to cards.

------------

"I just got a good opening hand, really. It is Dahlia you gotta thank for giving me the advice to truly rework my deck, and Jacques here also helped." Bob said, grinning and scratching the back of his head as Tracy congratulated him.

"Oh, how terribly humble. What's the matter, champ? Not willing to show off and seem arrogant in front of your girl?" The Spirit of Blowback Dragon appeared again, swirling around Tracy's shoulders as they locked eyes with their partner. When Bob decided to not comment on the taunts, the spirit merely chuckled. "Oh well, if I don't get a response, they certainly will." Nodding in the direction of Braxer and Bix, the spirit laughed as Bob looked at the oncoming duo, frowning at their presence.

"What do those two want?" The boy thought out loud.

----

"My, a charmer aren't we? Which one are you? Hiita, Wynn, Aussa, Eria, Lynn or Dharc? I hope for you that you are the right one." Maya winked at Jacques, not passing by the opportunity to tease the boy a little. She'd spent enough time with the French boy to declare him a non-threat and perhaps a friend, so taunts were fair game.

"Eh, stalling when I had no outs isn't my style. Just a luck of the hand biting me in the end..." Zack mused, as he seemed to have a good sport spirit on the surface, though his attention shifted from Bob to Tracy as she complimented his presumed ace.

"Ah aren't you sweet. I'd say was a pretty good way to shake the rust off." Zack mused to Tracy as he had slid his deck back in his deck case and folded up his Duel Disc in his little beach bag, before he saw a pair approach him. Braxer and Bix to be specific. Seemed that Weasel was a touch miffed at him, if he sent his pair of stooges to go fetch him. Course, from Bob and his group's POV it seemed that he had made an enemy of Weasel which if anything might encourage them to trust his word.

"So you two come to the beach to?" Zack asked the duo, though he had been curious what they wanted to say. Or rather, what Weasel wanted to say through them.

"Ey! The boss wants a word with you." Braxer brashly put as he slogged through the sand toward Zack.

"Y-Yeah, didn't you say you were good at this kinda thing??"

Intentionally vague on what this 'kinda thing' was, They showed their own dissatisfaction with his performance, especially when he was hyped up as the super delinquent and chief. Bix paused for a second, awkwardly eyeing those around him whom he drew attention from.

"S-So...yeah. Wasnt a bad duel though Bob-"

Braxer nudged him, which made the scrawny little stutter bug stand straight up.

"I mean! B-But it still could have been better!"

"I am which-ev-ar one so suits ze' mo-ment, ahv cours'," Jacques replied to Maya's teasing with a casual shrug, though even as he spoke, the Ra boy couldn't avoid the tension that swept away the salty air. Tracy, in particular, seemed to withdraw from what had been - until that point - her (equally, to Jacques,) unusually bright mood. And Bob, so concerned with his friend's protection, begroaned - as he often seemed to do - the new arrivals.

Open to making new acquaintances, even the French (Canadian) Ra could not deny that the two new guys rubbed him the wrong way right from the very start. He had to take note of their use of the word boss. Maybe Jacques had played too casually too long.

"The boss, eh?" Jacques asked with a chuckle, "Did Zack skip heez shift in ze caf-e? May-be snuck a fresh pack from ze card shop when he was clo-zing?""

"So, did Weasel want to talk to Zack? And he couldn't show his face himself? Interesting, he wouldn't dare to get his own hands dirty." Bob couldn't help but taunt the two stooges, not yet forgotten what the gang did to him. As Bix talked to him, the boy merely huffed.

Maya was not quite into the loop of the drama at the school, but she knew tension when she saw it. "So, who are these guys?" The girl whispered at Dahlia.

"...Sure frenchie, call it whatever you want." Braxer muttered to Jacques dismissively.

Bix didn't take kindly to the words against Weasel, the boy hopping up and down in anger, attempting to make up for his height and stature.

"H-Hey! Weasel is the bestest boss! H-H-He just trusts us! Like how he used to trust YOU!"

"And I have given him zero reason to suspect that I have harmed that trust. All I did was criticize his plans' weak points that might get him caught and as return he frames me, how noble of him. In case you two forgot, I was blackmailed into joining that little gang of yours. It's a miracle that Weasel trusted me to begin with, given the ways he used to enlist me. Quite the leader, I must say." Bob had crossed his arms in cold anger, staring down Bix. He had no reason to try and reconcile with these two oafs, he just hoped to pick apart at the weaker one to spill the beans for everyone nearby to hear.

"Oooooh, spill the tea! You're on a roll, Bobble-head, give that little rat the truth he is so blind to!" Blowback Dragon cheered Bob on, hoping to see some drama.

"I mean...yeah- but that's different!" Bix tried to argue. "T-Though c'mon, you were pretty rude to the boss, don't try to deny it!"

"'Nuff about that." Braxer told the scrawnier boy. "We weren't stickin' around for long anyways. Come on."

He went over to grab Zack by the arm. He would try and grab then drag the failed Hunter to where Weasel was, after all, he didn't come here for small talk.

"So instead of trying to talk it out, he frames me for the loss of face that Crowler had. Mature, real classy. The act of a real fine leader. I admit that I was rude, I will not deny it. However, that does not excuse the way I was treated." Bob turned his eyes away from Bix, instead looking at Zack.

"I have no clue what these two and Weasel want from you, but you know that they are no good news. I will not dissuade you from making contact with them, you're a free thinking human after all."

Jira glanced over to Tobias and Willow once again, wringing his hands nervously. He leaned against the wall of the arena, swallowing nervously.
"She's, uh... she's been in there a while, don't you think?" Jira asked Tobias. He glanced over to his friend, seemingly just now realizing that while Willow had been in a trance for a while, Tobias had been holding her up all this time. "How are you doing? Do you need me to help?"

~~~~~~~~~
Dahlia was back to relaxing in the ocean, and hadn't noticed Bix and Braxer's approach until Maya whispered to her. Standing up in the water, Dahlia looked over to see the two Slifer Reds talking with the rest of the group. Dahlia frowned.
"They're... complicated. But right now, not good news. A pair of troublemakers. Have you heard about that new Obelisk Student, Weasel? Cronies of his." Dahlia said to Maya, watching everything unfold from a distance.
Tracy had already known about the whole situation with Weasel from Bob. But hearing Bix and Braxer pretty much admit it? That just helped hammer home how crazy this situation was. Hearing it from Bix and Braxer was like experiencing the shock anew.
"You blackmailed Bob because he was rude to Weasel?!" Tracy said, looking from Braxer to Bix. She couldn't, and wasn't even trying, to hide her shock, disappointment, and... hurt. "I... I can't believe you would do something like that! I thought you were his friends..."
Seeing Braxer try to grab Zack, Tracy approached the larger Slifer Red student.
"He... he doesn't have to go with you if he doesn't want to!" Tracy said to Braxer.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Equeste couldn't help but to chuckle at Willow's outburst.
"Your sentiments are much appreciated, Willow Bretton. But you don't have to convince me, I could tell as much from our duel." Gladiator Beast Equeste said. "But those days in chains are practically ancient history for us. Ever since Caeser Augustus took the lead, we've been able to fend off any threat."

Caesar Augustus, a powerful name belonging to a powerful leader. "That is good to hear. Do you think I could speak to him? It's just for a moment, really, though I can understand if it is not allowed." Willow asked, unable to resist the possibility.

--------

Bob watched Tracy run over and could not just stand there and do nothing. Walking over to Tracy, the Ra Yellow glared at Braxer. "You dare touch her, and I will make you regret ever even picking up Duel Monsters. Do I make myself clear?"

"Go dude, get his ass!" Blowback Dragon yelled.

"I've heard stories about him, didn't know how many were true though. Should we intervene?" Maya asked, unsure what to do.

"I am...adequate." Tobias stated. "I have not a clue nor inkling of the well-being of our friend. But something tells me that I would suffer the wrath of the gladiator if I were to interrupt this endeavor..."

Trying his hand at humor, he gave a single 'hmph', wincing at the weight as his leg quivered slightly.

"But...I would be dishonest if I were to utter the words that their weight was welcome upon thy own shoulders...I shall give it five more infernal minutes until I deem it too laborious to keep them inside the dreamscape..."

.....

Braxer put two and two together after their unwanted attention began to uproar about this 'blackmail.' Bix was talking too much. He looked over to the smaller boy, thumping him on the back of his head in response.

"Eek-!" Bix yelped. "I didn't confirm or deny anything! Honest! And we are! Maybe...maybe not? Listen, i-it's complicated! L-Look, it's not that I didn't like the guy- I mean! W-We did but-"

Sensing Bix getting ever more uncomfortable with all these objections, Braxer elected to be the stronger spine of the two, not backing down to either Bob or Tracy's objections.

"Listen. This got nothing to do with either of you. If you want to butt in, you better be prepared to do something about it!"

He wasn't the one easily as intimidated, his large stature and amount of muscle proving useful in this situation. He flexed his chest when Bob came closer, practically threatening him

"Oh yeah? Or what?"

"I say you finally live up to the name of duelist. I know you own cards, either duel or let the boy walk on his free will. You've a habit of throwing your weight around instead of your deck, and I want to see what you've got that makes Weasel keep you around." Bob knew that in a physical fight, he'd stand no chance, but in a duel he could be a formidable foe. He beat a Slifer just a couple minutes ago, he could do it again.

Shen: King of Digimon

"Tch!"

Braxer twitched. Bob knew he wasn't the most secure about dueling. He was kept around BECAUSE of his muscle, not his dueling talent. Normally? He'd say no immediately, but due to these onlookers here, it seemed like the bad rap would simply increase. Weasel would not like all this attention, could bubble up to something much worse in the future. Reluctantly, Braxer gave a couple laughs.

"What? You want to be beaten in dueling instead of by my fists? If that's what you want, then be my guests!"

He brought his duel disk out, preparing for a smack down. Bix on the other hand seemed completely and utterly lost. His bravado seemed to have crumbled when attacked verbally on all sides. Instead he slowly inched toward Zack, pointing with his eyes for the pair to get out of there while Braxer appeared to be garnering attention.

"Alright then...I'll knock you out right quick!"

Braxer drew his seven cards, looking to his foe. He only put the strongest cards in his deck! A deck like this could pull off a quick win.

"I play Giant orc in attack position!"

A glowing light shown as Giant orc materialized, towering over the duelists. It swung it's come club around before resting it on it's thick, muscle filled shoulder.

Giant Orc: 2200 ATK, 0 DEF

"And I end my turn! Can't beat that, huh?"

The simplest of simple moves, but Braxer was finished. It became obvious why he was in Slifer cabin, but it's not like he was gonna cry about that fact, he had a duel to win.

"We'll see, we'll see." Bob drew his opening hand of five before drawing for turn. Once again, quite the power hand and there was no reason not to go for it. If Braxer still was his friend, he might've even felt bad for him. The truth of the matter however was that he wasn't, so he did not care about the feelings of the Slifer. That, and an empty field was just so rare that he had to capitalize on it. "I'll end this duel in a single turn." Bob said, staring Braxer in the eyes.

"I normal summon Gold Gadget from my hand, allowing me to special summon a level 4 Machine monster from my hand. I choose BM-4 Blast Spider!" A golden orb hit the field before unfurling itself into Gold Gadget, which let out a golden ray of light as a mechanised spider hit the field, cannons strapped on its back. "Whilst you are right that my monsters cannot beat over your orc via battle, there are more roads that lead to Rome. I activate BM-4 Blast Spider's effect! By tributing a DARK Machine, I can destroy a face-up card you control, and BM-4 Blast Spider is a DARK Machine itself. I choose your Giant Orc!"

BM-4 Blast Spider fired two Blast Spheres, one attached itself to BM-4 Blast Spider whilst one attempted to attach to Giant Orc.

"It is going to get a whole lot worse! I activate the spell card Iron Call! When I control a Machine type monster, I can special summon a level 4 or lower Machine type monster from my graveyard, but its effects are negated and it gets destroyed during my end phase. Come on back, BM-4 Blast Spider!" A beacon of light shone on the field as the dismantled BM-4 Blast Spider reassembled itself on the field.

"Now, I have 3100 attack between my two monsters. It is not enough to kill you, but this card will enable me to. You should have seen it during Spirit Day." Bob flipped one card in his hand, revealing it to Braxer. "Limiter Removal." As the card was played onto the duel disk, Gold Gadget and BM-4 Blast Spider began moving erratically as electricity surged through them. "All my Machine type monsters get their attack doubled, but they get destroyed during the end phase. There won't be an end phase though."

Pointing at Braxer, Bob declared his attacks. "Gold Gadget! Attack Braxer's lifepoints directly! Golden Gauntlet!" Gold Gadget dashed over towards Braxer, attempting to punch him in the face. "BM-4 Blast Spider, attack directly! BM-4 Barrage!" A barrage of rockets was sent flying at Braxer from the launchers on the spider's back, all ready to be exploded.

"Well...SHI-"

*POW!*
*SLASH!*
*KABOOM!*

It was no duel. Braxer lost before it begun. Falling to the ground from the shock, his life points went to zero in a flash. He cringed as he massaged his side. How did that happen? He had a big strong monster right off the bat! He just didn't get it...

"...Agh...was was that all about? I didn't get any of that!" Braxer exclaimed.

"Basic dueling strategy, never leave your big monster alone without any way to protect it. I told you before that your deck needs some work and whilst Giant Orc is powerful, that is all that it has going for it." Bob said as he deactivated his duel disk and Blowback Dragon cheered for the one-turn-kill finish. This.....this felt right. The power his deck held, it was addicting. No longer was he confined to bad cards and shackles that he bound himself with. Ever since he truly sat down with a purpose for his deck to fulfill, every draw had felt like it could turn a game around. Was this the so-called heart of the cards? If so, he could not get enough of it. He didn't quite know how to describe it, but....

He wanted more, way more. He had yet to pull out all the stops, yet to summon his other ace monsters, yet to activate his aces up his sleeves. "Go back to Weasel and tell him that whatever he was planning to do, he should stop doing whilst he's ahead. I have no desire to see that ugly mug of his again, but if he wants to see me in person, I won't stop him."

In the blink of an eye, another duel had been fought - and won? - in Bob's favor; an odd turn of events for the boy who seemed so oddly unconfident. His deck didn't seem such a disaster after all.

"If this Wea-sel wants to ex-tort and do mis-deeds at Du-el A-ca-de-my," Jacques stepped beside Bob, giving his fellow Ra a low-down thumbs-up to show his approal, "then he will not on-ly have to deal with Bob -- but with me as well. And if you don't know me in the sligh-test, I pro-mise you you will."

Jacques shot the two tough guys a smile, and a wink.

This entire thing was humiliating. In his attempt to stand up and crush those that would question his and Weasel's will...ended up being crushed himself. And it wasn't even a good fight either. He slammed his fist into the ground, using it to stand up again as well.

"You...you got better." Braxer remarked. "Whatever...let's go Bix."

Bix didn't need to be told twice, the coward at heart Slifer already breaking out into a run back into the tree line. Braxer shook his head at the skiddish boy. But before he went to join him, he left with a few words.

"For the record Bob, if it were my choice, you'd still be a part of the crew. Your a chill guy. But I gotta back Weasel. No matter what."

Nodding his head at his own words, he stomped off into the thicket, escaping as quick as he came.
