Private/Closed Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Duel Academy RP

Zack rolled his eyes though seemed to be somewhat amused. Seemed Weasel indeed had gotten a touch prissy at him and the way he lost to Bob. Though before he even had a chance to answer their request it seemed that the rest of the group and the two allies of Weasel had gotten into their own little argument and had led to another duel.

And just as Zack seemed to get excited at seeing what one of the lackies could do, it ended in a flash. Zack had to struggle to hold a laugh. Just about nobody expected the duel to end in that kind of flash, and yeah if he wanted to give him any shit for losing well now he had less of a leg to stand on.

"I'll say, that was quite the display." Zack mused, though as the two departed it seemed he'd have to see Weasel or be pestered by them. "You have an interesting group, that is for sure but don't assume I am quite what you think. Might lose an, interesting source of info~" Zack mused before he set off as he had his fun at the beach but looked forward to more of these students. This yea promised to be interesting.

Gladiator Beast Equeste shook his head.
"The Caesar doesn't usually allow random strangers to approach. If you wanted to meet with him, you'd have to convince one of the Captains to introduce you. That would mean getting on the good side of Octavius, but we have two other Captains. There's Vespasius, Captain of the seas, and Alexander, Captain of the lands. Captain Octavius is leader of the skies, and the Caesar's right hand." Equeste explained. "Either that, or find some way to attract the Caesar's attention. Then there's the fact that the Caesar is almost always on the move, heading from arena to arena to get reports from each of the captains. In fact, you just missed him here."

Jira stood up, brushing off the dirt and approaching Tobias.
"Well... is there any way I can help?" Jira asked, looking up to Willow.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tracy watched as Braxer and Bix left. She couldn't help but to feel a little bad for Braxer, she knew how it felt to get beat down in one turn like that. Never a fun time. It appeared in the confusion, Zack had also taken his leave. Tracy wasn't quite sure what he meant by what he said... The Ra Yellow girl turned to Bob.
"Th... thanks." Tracy said. "Are you okay?"
Dahlia let out a small breath of relief.
"It looks like they managed to sort it out themselves. As goofy as it is, I definitely prefer seeing people settle up using dueling rather than their fist. Not that I'm opposed to busting a few heads if the situation needs it." Dahlia said to Maya.
Willow sighed, blowing a lock of hair out of her face. "Just my luck, I would've loved to meet the Caesar. Oh well, can't win 'em all. If you see the Caesar, please tell them that I am supportive of their leadership and would love to meet them one day." She had no clue how time worked in this world, but she was sure that at the very least Tobias wished for her to return. "It has been an honor to be here and duel you, Gladiator Beast Equeste, but it is time for me to go. I wish you the best of luck in life." Bowing to Equeste, she copied the action of letting go of the meteor as her mind snapped back to her body, the sudden shock causing her to fall backward again.
"Ow...".
----------------------
"As fine as I can be after they showed up. Not gonna lie, it felt good to perform a one-turn-kill on Braxer. It wasn't super fair, but it is better than any kind of therapy." Bob admitted, crossing his arms as Blowback Dragon snickered next to him.
"That's right girlie, you wish you could."
Bob swatted at the air next to him, dispelling Blowback Dragon for now. He had other concerns at the moment, like the parting words of Zack. What did he mean? Was he playing double agent or something? But that would be absurd!
"Wise words, Dahlia. Though I gotta say, all that dueling has gotten my blood boiling for some card games of my own. First thing tomorrow, I will challenge the first one of this little group I see. That's a promise!" Maya exclaimed, clenching a fist to the sky. The girl had sat by for too long and was ready to duel herself, not quite living up to the stereotype of the graceful and stern Obelisk Blue.
"News? You bet!" Willow said, jumping up as she dusted herself off. "There is a whole society of Gladiator Beasts on the other side! They live similarly to the old Romans and have a strength-based hierarchy with their leader being called a Caesar. The Caesar spends a lot of time travelling between colosseums to gather information and hear status reports from the commander of the colosseum. I met up with Octavius and even dueled against Equeste. They have a history of several tamers, though not all were benevolent and paid the price for it. It is super fascinating!"
As Jira was attempting to assist Tobias, suddenly Willow appeared to come back to her senses. He flinched as Willow and Tobias collapsed, but couldn't help a small smile. Partially out of relief, partially because the exact same thing had happened to him a little bit ago.
"We should probably try to set up something if this is going to be a common occurrence." Jira said grinning to Tobias as he helped his friend back up. Willow had already jumped to her feet, her eyes practically glowing with excitement as she spoke of Gladiators and Caesers and colosseums. Jira just blinked, looking from Willow back to Tobias. He was still having trouble wrapping his head around this whole thing, but was trying his best to follow after Willow.
"That's... that's incredible." Jira said to Willow. "A... a whole society? So Gladiator Beasts are, like... real?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Tracy couldn't help but to stay worried as she listened to Bob's response. As far as she knew, dueling for vengence didn't sound like a healthy mindset to have...
"Alright... Just try not to get in any actual fights, okay?" Tracy asked Bob. She tried to offer him a smile. "After all, it would probably be hard to duel with a black eye or something..."
Remembering something that Jacque had said, Tracy looked back over to the french-accented Ra Yellow Student.
"Did you say something about Weasel?" Tracy asked Jacques.

Dahlia returned Maya's grin.
"Well then, I'll just have to make sure I cross your path first. I can't just let you get away with beating me so quickly!" Dahlia said to Maya.

"Yeah, or else I dueled with a very convincing hallucination. I dueled Gladiator Beast Equeste and used Nerokius, a very powerful card. I am so glad I got a second boss monster! After I defeated Equeste, well, they forfeited really, Gladiator Beast Octavius showed up and tried to judge my character or something, I was more focused on not sounding demeaning to a powerful monster." Willow said, spewing everything she had experienced in the Spirit World.

"Before my duel with Equeste, he said that they didn't use the technology like the Machine Kingdom did. So maybe there are other entry points just like this one, waiting to be discovered!" Her eyes glistened as she clenched her fist, imagining all the potential locations she could go with those portal rocks as she decided to call them.

------------

"I'll try not to, I prefer duels over physical fights anyway. I'm not exactly the most intimidating guy on campus." Bob quipped, unaware of what Tracy thought.

"You're a twig, we know that." Blowback Dragon said, floating near Tracy. They liked hanging around her, she was not as crude as Bob, though she was also harder to taunt.

Maya chuckled, putting her hands on her hips. "Well, you know where my dorm is. All you have to do is ask before I completely demolish you again." The girl threw her head back, letting out a laugh. "Although, maybe my new deck is more fun. I just made it and I feel like there's some 'reel' potential in it. Hope you don't mind gettimg your feet wet, Dahlia!"

"...Hm. That level of detail, is it?" Tobias responded. "...How very fortunately fortuitous. You must certainly write all of this down for the record, this mustn't be left undocumented...! Alas, If only thy own self were able to cross that astral gateway, perhaps I would have had glimpse of such a world."

He was in a way, jealous of Willow. Years of being in this crafty and his spiritual encounters was extremely rare and far in between. Willow's first day on the job managed to garner him one. Perhaps they had a future in archaeology...

Jacques looked to Tracy as she asked him a question, which he met with an indifferent shrug.

"I do not know this Weas-el but I have met a hun-dred o-thers just like him," He said, waving under his nose as if he were swatting away a strong stench, "And I may be far from per-fect, but peo-ple like this Weas-el make me sick in my sto-mach and in my soul. Just dread-ful."

Having answered the question Jacques looked to Bob beside him and sighed.

"Du-el for your friends and their safe-ty, du-el for your love of du-eling, but du-el to sat-is-fy your e-go -- that is how you turn to them, in time," Jacques said, his words more warning than his deadpan tone would suggest, "Soon, re-venge is not e-nough. Soon, you need to be at the ve-ry top, to ne-ver be at the bot-tom a-gain. Some-times, wal-king o-ver o-thers does not seem so bad, when you, your-self, know what is like to be walked u-pon. Who is not the no-ble one, in their own heart?"

Unceremoniously, Jacques walked off in the direction Weasel and his two thugs had retreated.

Bob listened to the words of Jacques, thinking nothing of them at first. He just wanted to beat Weasel and his cronies, that was all. But wasn't that exactly that Jacques warned him about? Revenge was the first step and the road to Hell was paved with good intentions, but who was to say he wouldn't go down to their level and use dirty tricks? Like Jacques said, walking over others would be justified by knowing what it feels like to be walked upon.

He couldn't deny that he felt....powerful after defeating Braxer, and he wanted more of that feeling. He could easily imagine wanting to feel like that forever, though the feeling could not be called noble by any stretch of the imagination. It came from mercilessly crushing his opponent, from watching the will to fight drain from their eyes. It was a dark feeling, but the dark was appealing. Placing a hand on his deck, he felt the top card of his deck. He knew that it was Jinzo, the card felt different from his other cards. If he did fall into the darkness, he would lose possession of that card and although he had yet to even draw the card, the mere inclusion of it in his deck caused him to have a way better deck. Besides, the ability to shut down traps was invaluable. Couple that with the second highest stats in his deck and Jinzo was just an incredible card that he could not afford to lose.

"What's the matter, dude? Don't tell me that you're taking those words to heart, I thought you were 'grounded and not shaken by inexplainable situations'?" Blowback Dragon asked, mocking Bob in the meantime as the boy seemed to be lost in thought.

"Yo, chick."

A brash voice spoke near Bella. A man had emerged from her flank. He seemed well built, way too muscle than a man would reasonably need. His five o' clock shadow gave the appearance of someone who wasn't very orderly, but didn't need to be. His teeth were yellow, which showed in his uncomfortable grin."

"Name's Shantenzu. I hear your a very special girl..." He approached her, lighting a cigarette before putting it in his mouth. "A little bird tells me you would make the ideal one, so, sorry to say but..."

He pointed at her, his lack of remorse showing on his face as his pupils shrunk. This man gave off the energy of pure sadistic aggression.

"You are not walking out of this alive."

Bella's attention turned as a curious, and frankly intimidating figure, seemed to pop out of nowhere. He approached, cigar in mouth as he made some not so thinly vailed threats which caused the new Obelisk Blue to take a cautious step back as she moved to raise her arms in the air; confused as she tried to deescalate the situation.

"H-hey, I am not sure what you are talking about but no reason this needs to get violent, what is this about?" Bella asked with a nervous sheepishness as she tried to get some clarification on what this guy wanted with her.

-----------
Zack naturally stopped by his dorm to get a fresh shirt and pants on, before he followed the trail of the two stooges as thankfully their ability to nearly trip over themselves had made them easy to follow. Zack naturally focused less on them and more on the reason they had spoken to him.

Time to see what's got Weasel's panties all twisted.

Shen: King of Digimon

Previously Shen: King of the Mist
Shantenzu chuckled at Bella's fearful demeanor. She was afraid of him. Delicious. This would be all too easy. The man stepped forward again, his frame blocking her way to the dorm.

"I was called here my boss to claim a soul of a certain Obelisk blue...one that embodies power. That Lance kid I figured would be the ticket, but I hear you are making a name for yourself. Hey, a shame. I used to be an obelisk blue myself some time ago. But hey, at least you can die the strongest!"

Pulling out necklace of some kind, it had a glass ball attached to it. It had a blue hue to it and it appeared to have a clear purpose: too hold a soul. The man grinned as he pulled out a duel disk, placing the glass necklace inside of a specialized slot just for it. Suddenly, energy emitted from the duel disk, a dark purple aura spreading across the ground as a black mist erupted into the air.

"In case you planned on ditching, this is an insurance policy! The winner gets to keep their soul! The loser loses theirs! And if you try to run...that's considered to be a forfeit and you lose automatically! Ha! You got nowhere to go!!"

........

"So...your telling me you two couldn't bring him back?"

Braxer and Bix nodded.

"...And on top of that, you went ahead and dueled Bob and lost?"

They nodded once more.

"Even though you were told to not deviate from your one job?"

Braxer and Bix gulped as Weasel judged them from in front of a TV set. He was watching an episode of a cartoon, featuring a toon bunny. Those American cartoons were always such a thrill for him. As his eyes were glued to the screen, it would be hard to tell from an onlooker that he was actually the leader of their little gang. The silence was deafening as Weasel watched on, the two sheepishly turned to each other, not sure of what to say or do.

"Meh."

"E-Excuse me?"

"I said meh. At least you completed your mission."

"What?" Braxer scratched his head. "What you mean?"

"Behind you."

The two turned around and jumped when they found out Zack had failed them all the way here. Before they could say a word to him, Weasel interrupted.

"Last 5 minutes of the episode, come sit down."

He patted a pink pillow that was placed on the floor next to him. Being in the otherwise empty teacher's lounge, Weasel had boldly took it upon himself to choose this as the meeting place. Taking a sip of a rather sugary drink, he sat criss crossed applesauce on his own pillow, waiting for Zack.

Bella's confusion and worry over this man's malicious intents soon shifted into a sudden clarity. Thoughts of what she had been told before, about this threat on campus and the recent hospitalizations as it all seemed to click for the Obelisk Blue.

Wait a minute, don't tell me...!

Before Bella had even completed the thought, a sudden and rather chilling darkness seemed to surround the pair. Soon they were isolated in what could only be described as a void of darkness, and as this man outlined the "rules" it seemed that Bella had ended up like a trapped rat as it seemed the very soul was at stake which only caused her eyes to widen in alarm.

"T-their soul? You...what is it you and these Raiders want with Duel Academy, why did you set this up? Do you not realize the horror of what you are doing!?" Bella asked out, as it seemed she wanted answers rather than a duel, but even as this all seemed to be nightmarishly out there she began to figure she seemed to lack an option in this matter.

---------
"I'm tempted to make a comment, but why kill the mood."

Zack of course had no idea what to expect from the lair of the infamous prank master on campus. But it seemed that he had been a kid at heart in every sense of the word, he even watched cartoons in his spare time which given he had long suffered in the left for dead Slifer Red where the idea of a TV seemed laughable, had been quite the luxury.

None the less, he quickly moved to take his seat, though Zack remained well true to himself as not a moment after he had sat he glanced at Weasel to his side.

"So, what did you want to lecture me about?"

"Ho...do we understand what we are doing? Girl, I know EXACTLY what we are doing." Shantenzu grinned, crossing his arms over his torn biker jacket. "I'm just one of those weirdos that get off on that type of thing. Nothin' much else to it."

He cracked his knuckles, looking down at her and her meaningless platitudes. She had no idea...

"I've always been a rule breaker, ever since I'd a kid. Heh, I was expelled from this very academy for dealing drugs and beating up other students. ...What's one more student on the Talley, eh?"

His duel disk locked into place along his arm. The look in his eyes gave off the feeling that he didn't have a moral compass at all, rather he had no concept of what morals where supposed to be. Only violence.

......

"Eh? Lecture? Nah...who's got time for that?"

Weasel sipped out of a straw from an apple juice box, eyes still planted well on the screen. He seemed oddly...relaxed about all this. Perhaps it was the TV? Weasel's loud sips stopped and his mouth was freed up to speak once again.

"I heard you were this big Billy badass ya know? Thought you might have been exactly what I needed. Was reeeeeally bummed out for like, 3 seconds that I was wrong."

That atmosphere was...oddly tense. Odd considering it was a kid watching cartoons. But something about him acting so lax and non bombastic was...off putting.

"In fact, your little thing did the opposite effect. Turns out Bobblehead was in even invigorated by the duels, making him more likely to be a problem later. So tell me..."

Eyes never leaving the screen, he took a long sip from the straw of his drink, putting it down slowly.

"How will you make it up to me?"

Bella seemed to feel a drop of sweat roll down her cheek, as it became clear this situation seemed unavoidable. This one...just hearing how he seemed so boastful over those heinous actions made her blood boil, but to even take that and move it a step further into this soul stealing stuff it had been insane.

This man, he needed to be stopped. And if Bella was forced to fight for her life, she was not gonna lie down and die to give this one that smug satisfaction.

"I truly feel sorry for you, the fact you need to resort to all this to feel so strong. I don't stand for bullies, and I won't let you ruin anyone else's life. I'll stop you right here!" Bella called out, as she slipped her deck in her duel disc and folded it out as she faced the man with a determined resolve in her eyes.

"Let's duel!"

-----------
The aura certainly had taken a turn, and it was enough for Zack to raise an eyebrow towards. Given his affinity for cartoons, as well as his more mischievous personality, he either expected some sort of whining to him about his "failure" or something to that effect. The thinly vailed threat behind the childish demeanor, that had been off putting. So Zack had to admit he misjudged Weasel, even if only slightly.

But the young man seemed to smirk, as he was not one to be intimidated and responded accordingly.

"What can I say, you only have so much control of what you can draw. I got a bad hand, and that guy seemed to have a horseshoe shoved up his ass. I'd say for my first duel back rust and all, it worked out pretty well. Perhaps you'd like to answer something to me? This Bob guy you painted as prime for a beatdown, but he seemed to be quite strong. And one of your little buddies there was floored by him faster than you can say "what the hell." Not to mention, rumor is you and a little run in with some transfer girl and ended up on the losing end. Which leaves me wondering..." Zack mused as he glanced at Weasel and his two sidekicks.

"You don't seem to be living up to your reputation, and your followers are quite a letdown. Is there a reason I should be enthusiastic about this little partnership?" Zack asked back.

The conversation between Weasel and Zack had suddenly grown into a bomb waiting to explode, which Braxer and Bix soon clued in on. They winced at Zack's last comment and began to take steps back until they were nearly out the door.

"Hmmm...totally wrong. I would know, I beat that dweeb myself twice with ease. Figured that if you were worth a damn, you could pick up a single win, looks like i was better off letting the pros handle it."

Still not looking at Zack, he crunched his juice box, tossing it to the side of the room as the cartoon began its last minute of airtime.

"Everything has been going smoother than butter for me since I got here. From Slifer to Obelisk, beating everyone who's ever challenged me, having the principle under my thumb. Heck, managed to get a few wild cards along the way. As for Bella..."

As the show needed, he turned over to him, his mouth forming a long, Cheshire Cat smile from ear to ear.

"Let's just say she won't be...alive for much longer."

A second after this morbid comment, he regressed from this serious side to his usual, giddy, child like manner, laying himself onto Zack's lap.

"Hahaha! And when everything is said and done, it'll be a paradise for troublemakers, pranksters, and kids! Just like us! A utopia to do whatever we want, whenever we want! Isn't it rad? Amazeballs? Abso-frickin-tastic?!"

"Let's Duel!"

A fire was lit in Shantenzu's eyes. Prey with teeth, how exciting! He cackled, ripping out six cards from the top of his noticeably worn deck.

"Alright! Let's get it on girly!" He grinned, looking at his cards. "I'll put one monster facedown and two cards in the back. Show me what you got girly!"

The cards lit up on the field as the thug leader challenged her to do anything about it. He seemed confident that she would lose her soul soon...

Shantenzu's life Points: 4000
Bella's Life Points: 4000

Shantenzu's field: 2 facedowns, one set monster
Cards in hand: 3

Jira listened to Willow, looking from Willow to Tobias, before rubbing his head. This was... absolutely nuts!
"Well... your 'astral gateway' as you call it is still right there. All we need to do is come back with a stepladder or something." Jira said to Tobias. Speaking of a whole world of Gladiator Beasts... perhaps he should try actually looking into the gladiator beast cards, or historical gladiators... see if any of that could make this make more sense.
"Real duel monsters..." Jira echoed quietly.

Tracy watched as Jacque made his way back towards the academy. It looks like most of everyone else was heading out.
"Uh, um... It was nice meeting you, Jacques! Thanks for hanging out with us!" Tracy called after the mysterious Ra Yellow, waving as he walked away. Mysterious. Most people at this Academy seemed mysterious to Tracy. Duelists always had been a strange group of people, but still. The girl turned her attention back to Bob.

"He's right, you know." Tracy said to Bob. She rubbed her arm, nervously shifting her weight from left to right. "I'm not going to lie, watching the way this whole thing with Weasel and Bix and Braxer has been affecting you... It's kind of concerning. I just don't want you to end up getting in over your head, or going down a bad path..."

Dahlia's grin shifted to one of slight irritation at Maya's trash talk, and she just chuckled.
"So how long have you been waiting to use those puns, then?" Dahlia asked Maya.

"A step-ladder could work, but I think we should not get in over our heads. I don't know about you all, but today's been pretty tiring and we still need to head back to our dorms, I doubt that the way home has become any easier for us." Willow said, grimacing at the thought of it. "Still, I would not want to miss this experience for anything in the world. I wish I could bring you two with me, but I have no clue as to how to do that."

-----------
Bob listened to the concerns of Tracy and looked away from her, instead looking at the ground. He felt guilty for making her worry so much, she really didn't have to be concerned about him, yet she was. He loved the idea of having a trustworthy friend, but it pained him to see her worry that much. "I'm.....sorry that I made you worry so much." The Ra Yellow said, rubbing his arm as he had yet to establish eye contact again. "I promise you, I will tell you if things get too much to handle, okay?"

The boy looked at Tracy and couldn't stop himself from smiling, the girl had a good heart. It really was a shame that she had some of the worst luck he had ever seen. Whilst Bob was totally not admiring Tracy, Blowback Dragon began to talk again. "A bad path, eh? Interesting, very interesting. Tell me, Bob, have you ever heard the story of Gagagigo?"

"Way longer than I like to admit." Maya said, chuckling as she cast a glance at the retreating form of Jacques. She would have to remember his face, he might be fun to duel against. "I'm getting some cards that I ordered online tomorrow, so prepare for a duel that you have not seen the likes of in your life! Even without my trusty Phantasm Spiral Dragon, I still put up a good fight with my new deck!" The Obelisk Blue girl said, before looking at Tracy and Bob.

"By the way, what's the deal with those two? Friends or dating? I am getting a lot of mixed signs from them."

Bella scouted the field, seemed to be a standard move; have a monster in defense and some face downs as an insurance policy, but Bella could not afford to let the worry of the unknown stop her, and once she took a breath she reached for her deck and reignited her intensity.

"My turn, draw!" Bella called out, as she drew six cards of her own and scanned her hand, Bella knew that she had to approach with a degree of caution, but she worried if she was too passive it would cause her to fall behind early so after she assessed her hand she decided on the best move she believed she could make.

"I summon Masked HERO Ray, in Attack Mode!" Bella called out, and within this void of darkness a mask floated up as a great light seemed to shine from the sky. Soon enough descended a sentei-style hero with a golden mask as he landed down and faced the Raider with its determination clear even behind the mask that obstructed its features.

"I attack your face down monster with Masked HERO Ray, Ray of Hope!" Bella called out, as the Masked HERO gathered up what seemed to be a sphere of light that gained size & strength between his palms, before he launched it as a projectile weapon towards whatever mysterious creature her foe had hidden.

---------
Zack raised an eyebrow. Alive? A bit melodramatic for his taste, then again Weasel seemed to portray this as less a "prank war" and more a literal war as if they had been soldiers on the front line. Regardless, it seemed that Weasel thought lowly of him, and while he cared little for that he needed Weasel to avoid having Crowler on his back...least for the time being. But he had a slight smirk, prepared for this as he reached into his pocket.

"You asked me to break his spirit, did you not? Well one result especially to a guy he knows nothing about wasn't gonna cut that. Consider this duel a feel up if you will, scout what the guy could do..." Zack mused, before he seemed to pull out what seemed to be some cards he had in a special case, glancing as he had an almost evil gleam in his eye.

"...but imagine, if we dueled again after he "beat" me and I bust these babies on him. Some special cards I got suspended, ones that will upgrade my deck to make certain this result doesn't happen again. If that happens, the blow will be much more crushing, don't you agree~" Zack mused, as he seemed to have some cards to upgrade his deck he had yet to reveal to Bob or his side. An ace in the whole if you will, which showed there had been some benefits to being suspended.

Shantenzu's gruff face was filled with a superior grin as the masked hero began it's attack. He gave a hearty laugh, pointing right at that hero.

"Ha! Is that all you've got? Then I'll teach you a lesson about running a mafia!"

The Facedown monster revealed itself, Troop Dragon. Not exactly a strong monster, a meager 700 ATK and 800 DEF. But as soon as hero blasted the two dragons with it's sphere, they were seen being knocked out and killed, not before they hurled their spears right at the hero!

"Michizure!" The man called out, revealing the trap card. "My boys will always carry out their objective in the end. Take them out, and they take you right down with 'em!"

..........

Weasel looked up at Zack, his head still in the former's lap. The proposition he asked the prank master made them close their eyes, puffing out his lips as if he was pouting. Crossing his arms, his fingers tapped against his elbows.

"Hmmmmmmm..."

He was thinking. Braxer and Bix sweating as they saw this. To them, the tense atmosphere was almost too much to take. Realistically? He was still just a kid with no visible power to himself...yet why did they tremble?

"Hmmmmmm...!"

Weasel lifted his head, a cat like smirk growing across it. It looked like he had made up his mind.

"...Kay! Can't fault ya, no harm done! I'm the investing kind, so I ain't no ankle pincher!"

He sprang up, snapping his fingers. Braxer knew what this meant, as he opened the door he brought out a red chair that had somehow appeared. Where was he keeping that? This aside, Weasel sat in the chair as Braxer hoisted it up and over his shoulder.

"Boy! This day has been so tiring for my little muscles! Golly...I think we all deserve some pizza, what do you think?"

"Y-Y-Yeah! Absolutely!!"

"Rad!"

Weasel looked over to Zack with a cat like smile. Sure his first op was a failure, but so was Braxer and Bix's. Gesturing to him, he smirked.

"C'mon, you are a honorary hooligan in my book, let's go get some chow!"

......

"...That's quite alright. I need not the remnants of another's success."

In other words, Tobias was too prideful for that. Regardless, Tobias found himself rather tired from this engagement. He had...a lot to think about, especially considering how he related to the meteorite. He needed to consult Eatos stat.

"...Indeed, it is time that we close the curtains on this venture for the moment and return to our dwellings to seek glory in another instance."

Needless to say Bella was having mixed results on the attack, on one hand it had been successful and destroyed the opponent's monster. But on the other hand it appeared to be one of little consequence and worst off her foe activated a trap that targeted her HERO in response, and now spears sailed Ray's way as the HERO stood his ground and prepared for the worst.

That was, till a shinning mask appeared and seemed to place itself on Ray's own mask.

"Don't underestimate me! I activate the Quick Play Spell from my hand, Masked Change II!" Bella called out, as Ray seemed to be enveloped in a sphere of light as the spears bounced off him.

"By discarding one card from my hand..." Bella explained, as she sent one card Masked HERO Fountain to her GY. "...I can target one HERO monster I control, and send it to the GY. From there I can Special Summon a Masked HERO monster from my Extra Deck that is the same attribute but a higher level than the monster I tributed. Come fourth, Masked HERO Koga!" Bella called out, as the sphere of light shattered and standing before the Raider as another hero with a golden attire and Mask stood before him; one that had a pair of retractable extended blades on his arm as he seemed to stand with a defiant glare.

Masked HERO Koga
2500 ATK/1800 DEF

----------
Zack himself felt the atmosphere, though he seemed to brush it off better than Braxer and Bix as he tried to get a read on Weasel. The guy clearly was smart, able to set up all these pranks and seemed to be a natural leader, yet he often seemed to deliberately mask it with this childish demeanor.

Eventually, Weasel seemed to pop up with a grin and seemed to get behind Zack's little message, which had caused Zack to let out a light chuckle. This guy had been a character, that was, and he seemed to offer pizza to his little "crew."

Zack of course had really no confirmed loyalty, but Weasel needed not know that. If getting some free food made him think he was totally bought into this club he'd easily swallow that pill. "Sure, beats whatever they serve in the Slifer house." Zack mused, as he shivered at memories of the "meals" that had been provided to the Slifer Dorm.

That had been one aspect of this school he had not missed.

Shantenzu didn't lose his look of smug superiority, even when faced with this new hero that sprang out of nowhere. Koga eh? That was just another her to smash like the first one.

"Don't think your new hero is off the hook so easy! Troop Dragon's effect activates! When they die, they summon more of the boys to square off against you!"

With that crude explanation, a second squad of Troop Dragons emerged on the battlefield in defense position.

Troop Dragon: 700 ATK / 800 DEF

"There will always be reinforcements to back up those that get annihilated! So what you gonna do girly? Kill them and you just summon more!"

Bella frowned, essentially her attack had resulted in a net zero as her foe brought out a new monster to replace the fallen one, but she had not been about to let his smug aura rock her. Bella needed to keep her cool if she wished to get out of this mess alive.

"You'll need something better if you wish to scare me. At this point, Masked HERO Koga's effect activates! This card gains 500 ATK for each monster my opponent controls. Illuminated Blessing!" Bella called out, as Koga seemed to shine a light onto Shantenzu's field through its visor; and when the light shinned upon Troop Dragon it seemed to cause Koga to glow as its power increased.

Masked HERO Koga
3000 ATK/1800 DEF

Another attack had lightly to get the same result, as she was sure this guy carried 3 copies of this to make a good wall. But if Bella wanted to get through his defenses, she'd need to get around it sooner rather than later. "I attack Troop Dragon with Masked HERO Koga! Heroic Cross!" Bella called out, as Koga seemed to bend its knees while it had both claws extended, then it dashed ahead as it moved with a blazing speed and aimed to deliver twin slashes across the chests of the pair of lizards.

The Troop Dragons were slashed by the powerful melee of the masked HERO, shattering into a thousand pieces. However, the field would not be open long, as more troop dragons showed up on the scene!

Troop Dragon: 700 ATK / 800 DEF

"I got boys for miles, you can't chop 'em all down!" Shantenzu Pointed out. "Now you can't even finish the ones here off!"

He didn't seem off out by the strong hero's staggering 3000 ATK stat, in fact, he seemed almost enthused to be fighting it. Just what was going on in his head...?

Bella frowned, it had been the expected result but at the least she had thinned this creature to its last copy and had endured a scary battle trap. So while it had not been perfect, Bella seemed satisficed with her attacks.

"With that, I will end my turn!"

Bella declared the end of her move, and while she had started off aggressive it seemed her opening hand lacked any backrow so all she had was her Masked HERO on her field that acted as any safeguard.

"Flashy, I'll give ya that. But let's face it, it's gonna take a lot more than flash to take me on. Watch!"

Drawing a card, he snickered over to her. He seemed to really like whatever It is he just drew.

"Ha! Perfect! First of all, I'll use my Facedown card, call of the haunted! This allows me to summon another pair of my Troop Dragons!"

As the card flipped face up, two rather rugged Troop Dragons emerged from the grave, carrying the gashes that the masked HERO gave them last turn.

"And now, I'll tribute both of my monsters to summon a prized monster of mine! A monument of power! The Blue Eyes White Dragon!"

The two Troop Dragons were removed from the field, the mighty stop of an iconic dragon took their place. The Blue Eyes White Dragon! It roared aloud, it's dominating voice echoing throughout the place.

Blue Eyes White Dragon: 3000 ATK / 2500 DEF

"It's amazing what counterfeiting could do. After I heard a guy managed to forge EXODIA pieces...oh ho, I had to get a piece of that action. Kaiba ain't so special now, is he? HA!"

Placing a spell card on the filed while he spoke, the card materialized on the field. And equip card.

"To make sure this little beauty will destroy you, I equip him with Dragon Shield! Now no matter if you have one attack point or a trillion, he will never die! Can your Masked HERO say the same?"

The shield appeared over the Blue eyes, surrounding him with an azure energy barrier. Shantenzu Cackled, pointing to Masked HERO Koga.

"Kill your Prey Blue Eyes! White Lightning Attack!"

The Blue eyes reared it's head back, firing a brilliant stream of blue energy toward Koga, aiming to obliterate it off the field!

Bella prepared herself for whatever was to come, something ominous was in the air even in spite of the fact she had the 3000 ATK monster on her side of the field. And Bella proved that she should trust her instincts more, as this man prepared something that the Obelisk Blue had no way to expect. With a quick revival, he produced a monster that even the most casual of players of this game would recognize as Bella looked on stunned.

The...the Blue-Eyes White Dragon! That's impossible!

The Blue-Eyes White Dragon, to this day the beast that had stood as the strongest of this game's normal monsters faced her with an intimidating roar. But how could this be!? Bella had thought only Seto Kaiba had copies of this card. Quickly this confusion had been clarified, as he used a counterfeit card which only seemed to annoy Bella once the shock had passed.

"You truly have no lack of depravity..." Bella mused, but a complaint was all she had, not like she'd be able to call a judge on this.

Masked HERO Koga stood ready for battle, as thanks to its effect the two monsters shared identical power. But Shantenzu seemed to be aware of this, and used an equip spell which essencially had made this already imposing boss monster near invulnerable.

Koga could only brave itself as the stream of white lightning vaporized it. Bella had taken no damage, but now she had sat with no cards on her field and now had to deal with one of the most fearsome monsters in the game's history.

"Does it looks like I care about depravity?" The thug grinned. "If it wins it wins, why wouldn't I use it, huh? I'm not the one with an empty field!"

This was too easy. This was a dueling school after all, maybe she didn't know how to do half as well as a REAL duelist. Pathetic. He sneered, placing a card down in his backrow.

"Just in case you got any ideas to try and stop me, I put a little something face down and end my turn. What now, huh? Maybe forfeit so you can spare yourself some shame?"

*Sluuuuuurp*

Doctor Vellian Crowler sipped for a hot cup of tea in his new luxurious principal's office. Ah, it was so much work to remodel the entire room, or rather ordering people to do it. Barking orders really took it out of his poor lungs. It was nice to relax and have a day off away from any annoying brats on campus.

"Uh, excuse me, sir?"

Someone was intruding on HIS special relax time. HIS! He looked to the man who waited at the door with an pestered scowl.

"Yes? What? What is it? Can you not see I'm unwinding??"

"Sorry to intrude on your...erm...'unwinding', but-"

"But what?! Surely it can wait till tomorrow!"

"-There seems to be an anomaly on Campus."

"What are you saying? What kind of anomal-"

That's when the man raised the blinds to his office, seeing a dark purple cloud hoveriny over the ground, two figures inside. Crowler spit up his tea had stood flabbergasted.

"What on earth?! Who did this?!?"

"...We don't know, sir. But it is possible there is a student inside."

"What?! How did this happen?! Get out of my way!"

Crower pushed him aside as he rushed to the door. He was going out there and give them a piece of his mind! He couldn't have anything crazy happening, not on his watch! Especially if it was to any of his students, by that he meant his precious Obelisk Blues. If they wanted to cause trouble, at least cause trouble when he's not in charge to take the heat for it!

Bella frowned, but she tried to get her focus back. She could not allow this man's taunts, the card she faced or even this unworldly darkness around her to cloud her mind. She needed to treat this like any other duel, and think of her next play than let these outside concerns weight her down as she looked Shantenzu with a fire in her eyes.

"My turn, draw!" Bella called out, as she looked upon the card she drew before she added it to her hand as she weighed what move to make. And from the surface, it seemed to be a basic one given the situation she had been in.

"I set one monster in defense mode, and place one card face down. I'll end my turn there."

Before her the holographic projection of a Yu-Gi-Oh card appeared, one on the field in defense mode and one on her backrow as she seemed to focus on the defense for the time being. She'd have to bide her time for the chance to strike back.

"...That's all?"

Shantenzu couldn't hold himself back from a roar of laughter, bellowing out from his heaving leather clad chest.

"That's right, cower. Ain't nothin you can do to touch Blue Eyes!"

Drawing a card, he hardly payed any attention to it, instead focusing on what was right in front of him.

"Destroy that monster, I attack with the blue eyes white dragon!!"

The Blue Eyes revved up, scorching the field with it's white lighting until it reached the card, enveloping it with bright white light.

The powerful stream of white lightning shot down as it focused on her mystery monster, the impact would surely obliterate whatever defense Bella seemingly had prepared.

However, at this, Bella grinned.

"Don't be so presumptions. I activate my face down card...Mask Change II!" Bella called out, as she revealed a second copy of that special fusion card as a mask shot out from it and seemed to hover over her face down monster, which she revealed to be a copy of Masked HERO Fountain. Soon the mask covered the HERO and it began to shine.

"I suppose I don't need to explain this twice, so I'll just introduce a new face for you to meet..." Bella said, as she took one card from her hand to discard, a copy of Masked HERO Bassols, and soon a new hero emerged in Fountain's place.

"Come fourth, Masked HERO Acid, Defense Mode!" Bella called out, as soon a blue-colored Masked HERO with a visible fantastical gun appeared and struck a dynamic pose even as it assumed a defensive stance.

Masked HERO Acid
2100 DEF/2600 ATK

"At this moment Masked HERO Acid's effect activates! It will destroy each spell and trap card you have on the field, and when this happens all monsters on your field will lose 300 ATK. Acid Rain!" Bella called out, as her Masked HERO raised his gun high in the air and let lose several blasts that seemed to sail up, and descend down towards the equip spell and unknown backrow this Raider had placed. The aim to remove them and weaken his Blue-Eyes in one go.

Even with the decrease, Blue-Eyes would remain stronger than her HERO, hence why she summoned it in defense mode.

"Tch! So what you got a wardrobe change? All you gonna do is waste more cards! Fine by me! Watch as your HERO goes to the grave!"

As acid melted the cards in his backrow apart, Blue Eye's energy shield began to tear open, falling apart into ribbons of light. But that wouldn't stop it from claiming the life of the HERO as the laser raged and destroyed the hero that dampened Blue Eye's attack.

"Damn that was satisfying. Throw as many monsters as you want chick, you can't beat the best monster in the game! I end!"

"I think going with is something we can think about later." Jira said with a grin. Letting out a breath, the Slifer Red put his hands on his head before looking around the arena one more time. Making sure he had everything he came with, he started to make his way out of the arena and back into the forest.
"With all this excitement today, I think I'm going to sleep for like, five days." Jira said. It would be for the best, just trying to process everything that went down later. Maybe by then it would make a little more sense...

Tracy returned Bob's smile and nodded, before realizing that they had been making eye contact and staring at each other for a few moments too long. The Ra Yellow girl awkwardly looked away, wringing her hands.
"Um, well... I'm just gonna... head back to my room." Tracy said, gesturing back to the academy.

"Dating?" Dahlia said with surprise, quickly looking back to Maya. Dahlia then looked over to Bob and Tracy, her eyes narrowing as she watched the two students. She crossed her arms and frowned.
"No, no, they're just friends..." Dahlia said. She paused a moment. "Why, what makes you think they might be dating?"

Lance was on his way to the library when he felt... something. A shiver went up his spine. Something was wrong. The Obelisk Blue student looked around, trying to figure out what exactly was causing him to feel this way. Other students didn't seem to be affected... He hadn't felt something like this since the raiders were here last. Which was not a good sign.

Lance quickly made his way around the campus, and it didn't take long for him to find the source of this strange feeling. A mysterious, swirling cloud of darkness. The third year student cautiously approached the cloud, a hand at the ready. He attempted to touch the cloud, and his hand passed through without issue. It appeared today, he was going to be pushing quite a few boundaries of reality. Taking a deep breath, Lance attempted to step into the cloud...

Only for him to appear on the opposite side of the cloud. Lance looked around in confusion. The cloud looked to be rather wide, maybe 20 or 30 feet in diameter, and he had only just stepped into it. But now he found himself on the other side, as if he had walked all the way through it. Lance looked to his hand, then back to the cloud.
"Curious..." Lance muttered.

"You think you can sleep? I don't think I'll be able to calm down for at least a couple hours, I'll be a wreck tomorrow. Mark my words." Willow said, chuckling as she followed Jira. "Gotta say, it was a good call of you to go and find this place. Let me know if you have any other cool rumors that need investigating." The girl said, attempting to punch Jira's shoulder in a friendly fashion.

"Y-yeah, that's fine. It's getting late after all. I had fun today, maybe this can be a recurring thing?" Bob asked, ignoring the fact that Blowback Dragon had the biggest grin on their face he had ever seen.

"Ooooooooh, someone's got a little crush? Is this young love I am watching blossom? Could I have been graced with such a gift?" The spirit laughed, taunting Bob who frowned and swatted the air next to him, turning Blowback Dragon into fog.

"Well, for starters, whatever they are doing now. Have you ever seen them be this.....awkward before? I don't know them as well as you do, so this could be a common occurence, but I think there's something there. Plus I think they can look cute together, don't you think?" Maya said, looking at the two Ra's and smiling.

"I hope I'm right, it'll be fun to watch."

Indeed Acid was no more, the Masked HERO was obliterated by the Blue-Eyes strike much had Masked HERO Koga before it, and while Bella had cleared her opponent's backrow and weakened the beast, she still had no current monster in play and nothing in her hand had a chance to beat this thing. She'd have to try and hold on, till a chance would come to turn the tide fully.

"My turn, draw!" Bella called out, as she drew a card, and scanned it along with the current cards she had in play.

Bella seemed to have a small smile, as she seemed to like the card she drew and worked to place it in the Spell/Trap slot of her Duel Disc.

"I activate Pot of Greed! And I don't think I need to say what this does." Bella mused, as a holographic image of that iconic jar appeared with its nefarious grin, and soon Bella drew two more card from the top of her deck. Bella scanned the new cards she had in hand, and seemed set on her next move.

"I summon Masked HERO Inferno, in Attack Mode!" Bella called out, as a stream of fire burst in the black void and soon a hero who wore a red-sentai style outfit with a similar mask appeared and struck a dynamic pose.

Masked HERO Inferno
1600 ATK/1000 DEF

"I then activate Mask Change! Much like Mask Change II, I can tribute a HERO monster I control and Special Summon a Masked HERO monster from my Extra Deck that is the same Attribute. Come fourth, Masked HERO Goka!"

A golden mask seemed to drift and slap onto Inferno's face, and soon he became enveloped in that eternal light that seemed to shine in spite of the darkness her foe created. And the newest challenge to the beast of Blue-Eyes was a similarly colored hero sho seemed to have spiky shoulder armor and a more lion-styled suit.

Masked HERO Goka
2200 ATK/1800 DEF

"At this moment, Masked HERO Goka's effect activates! For every HERO monster in my GY, this creature's power increases by 100 ATK. Including Masked HERO Inferno, I currently have 6 HEROs in my GY. Bond of Flames!" Bella called out, as the spirits of the fallen HEROs seemed to surround Masked HERO Goka who seemed to fuel their spirits into the flame aura it produced as its strength increased.

Masked HERO Goka
2800 ATK/1800 DEF

"Your Blue-Eyes might be one of the mightiest individual monsters in the game, but HEROs standing together can overcome any challenge. I attack your Blue-Eyes with Masked HERO Goka, Pyro-Punch!" Bella called out, as the fire that Goka had produced off the strength of the HEROs in Bella's GY seemed to focus on its fist, and soon it leapt up high in the air before it sailed down and aimed to deliver a blazing blow to the dragon striking with all the power it had!

As the Masked Hero Goka was summoned with it's dismal 2200 ATK, Shantenzu couldn't help but give a hearty laugh.

"Ha! You think repeating the same thing as before will do anything? That hero is gonna be blasted to smithereens!"

However, his arrogant smile soon became a twitchy grimace as Bella began to explain their power of friendship with the HERO, it's attack skyrocketing over his Blue Eyes.

"Okay...that was cheesy as fu-"

*POW!*

The Blue Eyes was thwacked across it's head, the dragon roaring as it toppled to the ground, shattering into a thousand pieces. The thug leader grunted as the dirt was kicked up from the impact.

This chick killed the dragon. Tch! Annoying. But, looks like what I was told was true. She's no generic Obelisk. She's puttin' up a fight.

"Gutsy, standin' up to me, I'll give ya that. But it's gonna take a lot more than guts to stand a chance!"

Bella of course, smiled as her Masked HERO managed to defeat that terrifying beast. With Blue-Eyes gone Bella seemed to have finally evened the score in this duel. Her foe's field had not been cleared, and Bella seemed to have worked into a position where she'd be directing plays rather than just reacting to them, things seemed to finally sway to her favor.

"Oh yeah well, you are just mad I killed your counterfeit cheat of a dragon." Bella said as she had stuck her tongue out in response to the "cheesy" comment, which showed in spite of Bella being in many ways wise beyond her years...she still had been a teenager.

"I'll set one card face down, and I'll end my turn there." Bella declared, as her powered up HERO crossed his arms and Bella seemed to gain confidence even inside this dark void.

"Wipe that smirk off your face! We're just startin'!"

Drawing a card, Shantenzu's eyes widened, but quickly fell to disappointment. Another blue eyes eh? But I gots no way to summon it. Tch! Fine, may as well use this.

"I hate the deal I got here, so I'll be using the spell card: Trade in! This allows me to send a level 8 or higher monster to the grave to get a fresh batch of two cards! I trade in my blue eyes!"

Discarding the card to the grave, he plucked two more cards out from it. His eyes then lit up like a Christmas tree and he grew a far more confident stature.

"Oh ho...you hate my counterfeit dragons eh? Then how about I treat you to my own special monster, one unique to me and me alone! I play the Spell card: 'Dragon Mirror!' This card allows me to fuse two dragons in my graveyard as material! And I chose...my two blue eyes white dragons!"

The two dragons were seen erupting from the grave, flying into a whirling vortex in the air. The vortex quaked as they entered, rippiling with energy. Suddenly, the anomaly shattered like a mirror, revealing an entirely new creature!

"Arise! Blue Eyes Twin Burst Dragon!!!"

The two heads of this behemoth roared, sending a clear message out that this battle had just ended it's final stages.

Blue Eyes Twin Burst Dragon: 3000 ATK / 2500 DEF

"Heh, back when this game was starting out, this card was recalled for being 'too powerful'. I heard about that, and decided to steal it for myself! And after fabricating those phony Blue Eyes cards...I can finally wreck havoc with a bonafide illegal killing machine!"

She had beat a Blue Eyes...but now the sets of eyes had doubled, and no longer seemed realistic to defeat. The Twin headed dragon salivated at the mouthes, primal instincts filling the monster.

"Try taking them BOTH on! Go! Reduce that HERO to ashes! Burst Lightning Attack!"

One head opened it's saliva dripping jaws, firing a bolt of white lighting straight for Goka!

Tracy walked back towards the treeline, smiling at Bob as she picked up her bag.
"Yeah." Tracy said, nodding to the fellow Ra Yellow. "I had a lot of fun. I'll see you around, Bob."
With that, Tracy slipped her overclothes back on and began the walk back to the Ra Yellow dorm. She waved to Bob as she disappeared into the forest.

Dahlia just narrowed her eyes as she listened to Maya and watched Bob and Tracy interact.
"Yeah..." Dahlia said, watching as Tracy left. She didn't think it was a good idea, as she still wasn't quite sure to make of Bob and everything going on around him. But Dahlia didn't want to say anything about it, at least right now in front of Maya. Last thing she wanted to do was explain the whole situation to someone else.

Lance stared at the flowing mass of darkness, touching it once again. There was likely something he could do... But this wasn't a good place to do it. Here, in the middle of Duel Academy? It was likely that students or staff might show up any moment to try to figure out what was going on. What was going on? Lance had his suspicions... From the bit of research he had done, it sounded as though this could be a shadow game in the works. The only thing he could do right now was sit, wait, and try to catch the source before they escaped. And hope that if there was a student or staff in there, they would win.

In the mean time, Lance found a comfortable place to sit and sat down, surveying the surroundings in case anyone else showed up.
