Welcome back to Pokécharms! We've recently launched a new site and upgraded forums, so there may be a few teething issues as everything settles in. Please see our Relaunch FAQs for more information.
In this case you CAN add links to the body of the work itself (either in the description or some kind of distinct 'author's comments' section at the end or the beginning of a chapter.)
Well, you can't make a work explicitly to just be a link - that's not what the corner is for. However, if I'm not mistaken what you're trying to do is put in some visual reference to the characters etc. you're using in the story, right?
The one thing that is acceptable (aside from the expections I've already stated) is collaborations, but only so long as you've done a substantial part of the work and have the permission of the other person you collaborated with to post the thing. (Credit to the other contributor is also...
And the flaming and arguing continues.
I warned you.
Thread locked - for now. I will discuss what to do about this particular issue with the rest of staff.
That depends - if you draw fan art of someone else's creation in your style, that's fine. If you trace it or copy it too close to the source, that's not allowed by our rules.
We have an exception for official art (and things generated from official art), and works based on free-to-use, free-to-modify bases provided a link to the source is provided.
Moved to RP discussion as this is actually a discussion thread. Only posts that are In Character belong in the RP forums. Out of Character posts, interest checks, 'sign ups' and all the rest of that belongs in the discussion boards.
When you have some actual RP content going on, that's when you...
To be fair - I'm not entirely sure myself, but I'm going to tag our Developer in this as they would probably be able to give you a better answer than I can whenever they wake up and see this. Do save the code for whatever you've done as a text file or something so you don't lose it in case...
This way, if the server has another phenomenal moment of derp, and hiccups again, you can create a new work, switch the text box to BBcode mode, paste the thing you just copypasted back in there, and then try to submit again. All going well, everything you've done should stick.
Just like everywhere else on the forum, there's a little button with a wrench on it on the top-right corner of the text box when you create a new written work (it should say "Use BB Code Editor" when you hover over it). After you've done messing with all the formatting, but before you hit...
You don't sound like a bitch, no worries - I know what it's like to lose a ton of work due to some arbitrary glitch and it is frustrating as *frell*. You are in good company here. XD
Alright - if you don't want to have half-posts done, here's a little suggestion for the future (going to make...
(Incidentally, if you're concerned about server errors cropping up from no where, you could try to upload the work without all the bells and whistles first, then edit it in bits and pieces until you manage to get it to look the way you want it to)
