Welcome back to Pokécharms! We've recently launched a new site and upgraded forums, so there may be a few teething issues as everything settles in. Please see our Relaunch FAQs for more information.
No worries - no harm was done and no warnings were given - I'm just saying that if you're running into a recurring issue, this might not be the best way to handle it. XD
If there's a certain problem that we should be aware of, please report it in the Questions and Site Feedback forum - if the problem is on our end rather than yours, we should be made aware of it so our developers might be able to look into the problem.
I can see that you seem to be having some issue with the Creative Corner. Not exactly an excuse for spamming it with test works, but that's why you haven't received warnings for any of these.
AHEM.
Folks.
This thread has deteriorated into a flame war, and we have zero tolerance for this sort of shenanigans here.
Rhabby has just received a warning, and the rest of you are hereby officially directed to calm your Paridae and resolve this in a reasonable, sane, thought out manner or...
Folks, please keep off-topic discussions to a minimum - remember, forums are not chat rooms and posts must have discussion value and be relevant to the subject of the thread.
When this sort of future RP becomes relevant, submit a proper request with all the data required by the rules via a private conversation and we'll talk.
Also, in case of asking permission for a fan made mega evolution, a detailed description of the fan made mega evolution - appearance, strengths, weaknesses, the works - needs to be provided when the request is made. We need to keep things balanced and prevent potential godmoding, after all.
The first is because it is reasonably feasible to write NPCs battles with mega evolution (provided there is only one of them and that it is a very difficult challenge). But when a mega evolution is owned by an active player character, that person needs to ask permission with all the information...
The second question is because the use of fanmade Pokemon, moves, etc needs to be clarified/approved by the person who started the thread first because not everyone likes having fanmade pokemon around in their threads.
Are the mega evolutions in question owned by a specific RP character of yours or an NPC that your characters need to battle, and is the RP in question a thread that you started?
My problems begin and end with people who aren't trying to learn from their mistakes - whether through ignorance or malice. Anyone else is fine in my books. ^^
I honestly long for the day where people actually started reading and following the roles and made my life a bit easier. Having to bark at so many people a day can really make one's tendrils short-circuit.
While I do patrol both boards on occasion - I am not exactly what you'd call all-seeing, and having other responsibilities beyond 'charms means my attention is usually drawn via reports. This doesn't mean that General RP is unwatched and unprotected, mind! But it just means that PRP is a huge...
The simple answer is that the Pokemon RP boards are more active than the General RP boards in general, and more reports come in about the PRP boards than about the GRP boards.
I think there's a wee bit of a difference between actual dead people and people who are alive and well but are banned from this website due to their own disrespect to the rules, stupidity, or other reasons. xD
We generally only close threads if the thread as a whole is full of rule breaking, if someone who was vastly prominent and still involved in interactions with everyone else at the moment gets banned (if they can just be ignored and left behind, that might not be necessary) or if some major rule...
