The pistol’s shots rang through NiGHTS’s body, breaking through their arms and back. It was apparent that the Jester was hollow on the inside, as now there were holes protruding to the back of the Jester, cracks forming from the bullet hole. The only thing keeping the center body tethered was the small bridges to the side of the main body.

NiGHTS gave a long breath as if the shots more so tired them out rather than give physical pain. Finding it harder and harder to be as nimble as they used to be, NiGHTS attempted to follow up the punch with a drill drive, flying toward Joker midair and aiming to drill into his chest cavity.

Metal quickly jumped up and cancelled the technique, just barely avoiding the kick. Now that he was in close proximity to Johnny, he decided to try something. He quickly activated V.Maxiumum Overdrive, attempting to blitz through Johnny. He only activated it for a moment though, less than half a second, in order to minimize vent time. He then flew up into the air, although not as fast as usual as he was venting while he was flying.

The impact from the last hit caused Joker to slide back and away, his face stinging and a slight ringing in his ears. He managed to roll to a stop, looking up just long enough to see the results of his previous attack. It certainly seemed to slow the dream jester down a bit. Joker observed NiGHTS' body, seeing the cracks becoming more prominent. He was getting close to shattering them. Before he could attack, NiGHTS lunged towards Joker once again with a similar drill attack to before. I can only use this two more times, so I have to do it where it counts! "Tetrakarn!" Arsene was summoned once again to Joker's side, and swung its arm out, the counter shield once again surrounding Joker. He stood firm, waiting for NiGHTS' impact.

*CRASH!*

NiGHTS’s body broke in two, the top half and bottom half separating completely. As the shield blocked the first half’s drill and send it flying, the back half continued to fly forward to bash him the guy whilst the shield began to fall.

“Awaaah!”

The upper half tumbled over the bouncy terrain, slowly screeching to a halt as they had found themselves in quite a...interesting situation. NiGHTS looked to the camera, putting a hand on their chin whilst they rolled their fingers on the ground.

“Well now, ain’t this a situation?”

Joker was shocked, needless to say. Way too shocked for him to dodge the lower half of his opponent's body, it hitting him in the gut, while NiGHTS other half, the talking one flew far off and away from him. The thief cursed out quietly, backing away from the disembodied legs, before directing Arsene to fly towards NiGHTS upper half. Even if they weren't attached, Joker was sure the legs would be a threat, so he fired off his pistol at it, hoping to shatter it further and eliminate it. While he did that, Arsene reached the other half, and using his claws swung down at NiGHTS from above.

As Joker brought out their pistol to shoot at NiGHTS’s legs, the Jester saw this and yelled out.

“Oh no you don’t!”

Sticking her tongue out to the side of the mouth in Concentration, they made the legs due a pirouette in place, managing to dodge the bullets in an acrobatic fashion. It would then go to a dance to the death, stepping on it’s tippy toes and attacking with it’s outstretched feet. Using dance moves and choreography to kick and strike Joker.

However, NiGHTS didn’t expect to see the flying Persona coming their way. Panicking, the hands of NiGHTS picked up their head and chuckled it further away, allowing the Persona to destroy the main upper body with another resounding crashing noise.

The head was thrust into a wall...which stretched before shooting the head back to hit Arsene like a bowling ball.

Joker leaped back slightly at the legs just... got up performing a little dance, before leaping at him to attack. Joker cursed, using his blade to parry the hits as best he could while stepping back. A couple of the kicks got past his defense, hitting him in the gut. Cursing under his breath, Joker started to grip his grappling hook, and throwing the Jester's lower half, hoping to wrap up one of the legs and tripping it up.

All while this was happening, Joker heard the sound of breaking glass. Arsene take care of the other half? Joker thought to himself, before hearing the whizzing sound of....NiGHTS' incoming head. Back down there, Arsene simply faded away and teleported back to Joker, causing NiGHTS to just go flying after launching themselves off the wall.

Shen: King of Digimon

Previously Shen: King of the Mist
As Arsene vanished, NiGHTS couldn’t stop their own head without hands or feet, so they flew into a wall and bounced off...into another wall...and into another...

“Ahhh! I’m gettin’ dizzy!”

The lower half was expertly fighting off Joker in melee, blow for blow...that is, until it suddenly began attacking at random, wobbly shaking all over the place. Due to NiGHTS’s head bouncing and bouncing all over the place, they couldn’t see where to coordinate the legs, allowing them to be tripped by Joker.

When the legs were tripped, they felt around, feeling the grappling hook cable that had tripped them. Using the sense of touch rather than sight, the legs pulled hard on the cable, hoping to yoink Joker their way so they can give him a ballerina kick in the forehead from the ground.

The Alright Attorney

Joker cursed, making sure to dodge NiGHTS' wayward head whenever it got close, keeping up the fight with the legs. However, he started to notice the more NiGHTS bounced, the more unstable the legs seemed to grow. So the legs were still connected to the head in some way and not acting on their own. Once Joker was able to get the legs down, he looked around for the head that was rocketing around the stadium. That moment was enough for the legs to take him by surprise, pulling him down. Joker felt a foot hit him hard on the head. Just as he was getting blown back from the impact, he swiped his blade at the leg that made contact, while Arsene followed up, swiping at them, as well as blocking the Leg's path to it's user.

Shen: King of Digimon

Previously Shen: King of the Mist
Joker swung his blade in retaliation. To the leg strike, breaking a gash into the foot...but the blade itself couldn’t cut all the way through the harder than ceramic substance. It was imbedded in the leg, enough so for the leg to pull itself up from the ground, using Joker as an anchor point.

Unknowingly avoiding the attack of Arsene, the legs which now had a branching point to joker would bash him down on his neck, hoping to knock the man unconscious.

...Meanwhile NiGHTS’s bouncing head began to get swirls in their eyes as they bounced around even more. They hoped the match would end soon...or else they wouldn’t be able to fly straight for days.

Joker cursed as he fell onto his back, and saw the legs coming in to strike him. I only have one Tetrakarn left, I can't waste it. Joker thought, before looking to Arsene. "BUFUDYNE!" He shouted out, and the Persona complied. Pointing it's fingers right in between Joker and the Legs, the Persona shot a blast of cold energy.

Like before, a giant tree like ice sculpture grew in place, as well as icing up the platform below Joker. Quickly, he kicked his legs off the ice tree, and used the icy ground to slide back and away from the leg's incoming attack. Next, he aimed his now loose grappling hook, aiming it at the top of the tree. He shot up and into the air, before releasing the hook.

Now, high up in the air, he aimed himself at the trampoline like ground, gaining momentum as he crashed down....and sprung back high into the air, directly in the path of NiGHTS incoming head. "TETRAKARN, NOW!" Using his last Tetrakarn, Joker felt the shield surround him, waiting for his opponent's head to crash into it.

Shen: King of Digimon

The head kept bouncing and bouncing, not able to comprehend anything that was happening outside the feelings in their head and feet. Right as they felt as if they had the upper hand, they got a glimpse of Joker, rising up to eye level with them. And for one glimmer of a second...they locked eyes.

Uh oh...

“TETRAKARN, NOW!”

*WHAM!!!*

NiGHTS’s head exploded into a flurry of sparkles and glitter, their legs vanishing a long with it after it was destroyed. The little glitter specs rained down as a bell was sounded.

“Excellent match! Well done!”

Master hand descended down from the heavens as the hologram of the stage disappeared. He pointed his finger at Joker, giving a hearty laugh.

“I like your spunk! Edgy and young, just like what every teenage boy and girl would love to see on screen! Great for ratings, especially when you win. Good show!”

Meanwhile, NiGHTS’s body re-materialized outside of the match gates, looking dazed and confused, swirls in their eyes...it seems the dizziness they had didn’t quite wear off from that fight.

Joker let out a slow relaxed sigh, glad to be standing on ground that actually felt like ground again. He patted his chest up and down, making sure he was all healed up after the fight. "Semi-Finals..." He muttered out, glancing up at the list of matches. "Metal Sonic or Cage." Joker thought back to his match up with the real Sonic, wondering how his robot doppelganger holds up in comparison. He decided he'd head to the stands to watch that fight play out. As he made his way out, Joker saw NiGHTS, and smiled softly. "Great fight out there. You really put me to the test." He said, offering a handshake.

NiGHTS rubbed their head as they sat up, the blurred vision beginning to subside. They lost their match? They hadn’t expected it to end the way it did, literally hanging on by a head in the game.

“Ouch...that one was a whopper.”

That’s when Joker emerged from the gateway, his wounds and damage healing as he did so. NiGHTS expected a fight from him, but they didn’t expect THAT big of one. Suppose looks can be deceiving. When Joker offered a hand to the sitting purple nightmaren, they gave a wide smile, taking the hand and flying back to their energetic state.

“You too! I wanted an exciting match, and you gave that and more! Oi, I can see why ol’ blue lost. Your impressive, but don’t think that’s the end of it all. We can get a do-over tonight when you go to bed, I think I can give ya a run for your money! What do ya think??”

They seemed raring to go already, their energetic spirit never fading from their ever present personality.

As Courier attempted to slide under Mark Guyver, he placed a Nuka mine right as he began to flee. Seeing the man dive under him, Masaru commanded Guyver to stomp down on Courier before he could get away. While courier managed to escape, the mine he placed was directly hit.

“BOOM!”

The entire lower half of Mark Guyver was battered, armor breaking off and the feet themselves being vaporized. What was worse was Courier was even closer, being erased from his own nuke mine. Masaru tried to regain his balance after his robot suddenly lost it’s feet, plopping down onto the crown.

before he knew it, Mark Guyver began to slow it’s spinning as the fight came to a close. The terrain vanished from sight as Master hand descended.

“Ha! Looks like Courier will be carrying that shame for some time! The winner goes to the messed up kid!”

As Mark Guyver disappeared from some sort of Master hand magic, Masaru dropped to the ground. He looked to the crowd to Bowie, pounding his chest and giving a toothy grin. He wasn’t going down to some demon, and his determination shown through to the semifinals.

He left the gateway, hoping to meet up with Bowie as well as his new opponent before he had to move on.

Sturm thought as he summoned a transport helicopter to move himself back onto land. He realized that he didn't really need to win. All the fighters he had met, they were already enough to inspire him for new units. Units that could help him conquer all kinds of worlds even without the wish. Sturm held his hand up at Gunvolt, speaking up. " Halt. I surrender. I no longer wish to fight. " Sturm said, willingly surrendering, despite this putting a dent into his pride. With this spoken, his units stopped attacking and started self-destructing one by one. @Shen: King of the Mist @ArmedBlue

As the units began to explode one at a time, the hologram of the location they were in began to fade. Suddenly, Master hand appeared from above, looking incredibly irritated.

“Now why would you do THAT! We were getting to the good part!” Master hand grumbled, pointing to the exit. “Leave. Sternum. Now.”

Cursing under his gloved breath, master hand snapped his fingers, disappearing in a moment.

Gunvolt was shocked to see Sturm surrender, his words echoing throughout the arena as it went back to normal. Why would he do that? Giving up on the chance for a wish all of a sudden? It didn't make sense to him, the Crashbolts ceasing and the Dragonsphere dissipating.

"...something isn't right. Just what is your goal here...?" He muttered as Master Hand came down and told "Sternum" to leave. The alien dictator was most certainly planning something, but there wasn't anything Gunvolt could do about it. No way to stop him before he left, no way to chase him back to his world. He could only focus on his own battles, and that wish if he won.

"Whatever it is you're planning, I can guarantee someone will put a stop to it." He said, letting Sturm know there would always be a hero to make things right. Without another word, he turned around and went through the newly opened gateway, now back to the plaza. His name moved up on the list to match that of a boy named Masaru. Didn't seem like much at first glance, but he definitely had a trick up his sleeve if he had made it this far. Two fights to go...

He decided to walk around and look for this Masaru kid, wondering if he could learn anything from him before their fight began.

Shen: King of Digimon

Previously Shen: King of the Mist
As soon as Masaru stepped out of his portal, he was met with another guy in the plaza...looking for someone. Normally, he wouldn’t think anything of it, but since he was one of four people here in the plaza, two of them being Sonic and NiGHTS, he knew the competition was thinning.

So he looked at the board, seeing his next fight. Sure enough, his next opponent was the guy who was looking around all creepy like. Gun-Volt? What? Does he have a thunder gun or somethin? Psssht, imagine being beaten cause someone had a fancy gun. I got this.

Masaru marched over to Gunvolt, putting his hands on his hips.

“Ah! So your the guy I’m fighting next. Gotta say though, glad a demon wasn’t the one who moved on. Better you than that other guy.”

Automatically assuming Gunvolt knew about the Warriors of hope, Masaru flashed him a confident grin.

“How does it feel to know your gonna fight your leader and Hero??”

The Masaru kid had walked up to him, Gunvolt smiling at him since he seemed pretty nice. The mention of a demon moving on took him by surprise, he already knew someone with that kind of talk all too well. Just like Copen... but what exactly does he consider a "demon"? He thought as the boy began to talk about him fighting his leader and hero, chuckling at those titles that probably were earned judging by how far he had made it.

"Sorry, but I'm not really sure what you're on about. But I bet you must be pretty well known wherever you're from for you to be called a leader and a hero. Not many people can get that level of praise, y'know?" He replied, trying to find any clues as to what had gotten him all the way to the semifinals. He couldn't find anything though, he just seemed like a regular kid. Disregarding the demon talk, of course.

“Wha- Well of COURSE I’m well known!” Masaru replied, a bit taken aback. “I’m like the biggest, baddest, most totally awesome kid around!”

Geez, does everyone live under a rock? Even if they are from other dimensions it’s no excuse not to of heard of me or the warriors of hope.

Masaru puffer up his chest. “Yeah! Not many others do cause they are all demons and cowards. Unlike those adults, I, Masaru Daimon, fight bravely on the front lines!”

He took great pride in that fact. His egotism was pretty apparent, as he didn’t ask Gunvolt what his story way, rather choosing to gloat about his own titles.

Well, he sure does seem pretty confident. Gunvolt thought, now knowing Masaru referred to adults as demons. Things must have gone pretty badly for him to think of them like that...

"Sounds like you're a good fighter. No wonder you've made it all the way to the semifinals." He replied, chuckling a bit as he hadn't expected a kid to fight such strong opponents yet prevail over them. Which brought him back to what he was thinking earlier: How did he do that? He had to find a way for him to spill the beans, kids were usually bad at keeping secrets. Just gotta keep him boasting...

"Speaking of which, how did you make it this far? One wouldn't expect a kid to prevail over such fierce opponents, and you don't look like you have any sort of superpower to aid you in battle."

Bowie
Bowie looked down as Masaru started to pound on his chest up at him. He was excited for his friend and Blob was already hopping down to meet up with him. It took Bowie a little bit to get over to the portal, but he did eventually see Masaru and tackle him from behind... again. Masaru might've been getting annoyed by this, but he was happy that his friend was getting so far in the tournament. "That was awesome Masaru! That was a cool end to the battle as well, It was exciting to see!"

Bowie had overheard some of Masaru's conversation with this golden haired teen, and decided to butt in before Masaru's head got the better of him. "He got this far because he's that good. If you want to know more, you're just gonna have to wait for your chance to fight him, I'm warning you that it's going to be tough though. After all, he is Masaru Daimon, leader of the Warriors of Ho- WHAT ARE THOSE TWO ADORABLE PUFFBALLS!" Bowie ran over to them immediately stopping his sentence rather abruptly when he noticed the pair of Orange and Pink characters.

Dee
Bandana Dee was coming out of theGunvolt's battle. It was a well fought battle, but for the life of him he couldn't understand why the other guy had forfeited. He was hungry now, and he knew Kirby was always hungry so he was about to suggest to Gunvolt that they could all go grab a bite to eat when a kid started running at him and Kirby. He of course went to kirby first, being the more adorable and well known of the two. "Hey GV, care to introduce us to your new friends before this one cuddles us to death?" Waddle of course wanted a cuddle from the kid, but being an esteemed Waddle Dee such as himself, he couldn't just admit that. He had a reputation to uphold.

(Received auto permission from @ThAtGuY101 . Also, sorry if it doesn't look like a good fight, I don't know very much about Johnny other than the information I received from this rp.)

Due to his need to vent, Metal wasn't able to fly as fast and got hit by the uppercut, being launched upwards by the force of it. However, his vent time quickly finished due to the short time the move was used, and he quickly performed a U-Turn and flew down towards Johnny. Johnny tried to kick him again but he flew above him then dive bombed downwards to the ground, landing on his feet. Johnny quickly turned around and punched Metal in the robotic jaw. Metal staggered back a bit, but then looked back at Johnny with a menacing glare. Johnny moved forward while launching a barrage of kicks and punches, trying to force Metal to the edge of the stage. Metal kept backing up, acting as if the strategy was working, then suddenly grabbed Johnny's leg mid-kick. Metal kicked him in the gut, then swung off of Johnny's arm and landed behind him, then kicked him powerfully, sending him off the stage due to how close they were to the edge. Just for good measure, he shot 3 energy orbs at him, making sure he couldn't get back on the platform. As soon as Johnny was out of sight, Metal walked away from the edge and back to the center of the stage.

As Metal Sonic’s fight came to a close, Master hand arrived on the scene per usual, an applause track playing in the background as he gave himself a ‘Hand’.

“Haha! I wasn’t much for Johnny Cash, it’s all about heavy metal! Let’s hope he can get this next match up, over, and gone!”

With that, he snapped his fingers, the rift opening for metal sonic to leave.

Masaru was about to gloat about how awesome Mark Guyver was before he was decked from behind by Bowie, which he completely forgot was coming behind him. Falling to the ground comically from the tackle, he was at first annoyed by the thump, that is, until Bowie began to compliment him and stroke his ego, which he couldn’t help but start giggling too.

“Hehe...! You really think so? I was cool??”

As Bowie rose up off of him, he got up next to him, striking a pose as Bowie talked him up, flexing what he thought was a strong bicep. Then as soon a Bowie dipped, Masaru looked over to where he ran, a sweatdrop forming.

“Erm...anyway!” He said? Getting back his composure. “I AM totally awesome. Your gonna have a tough time with me Voltgun, after all, in a story a hero always wins! So that’s why I’m gonna win this time!”

Right when Masaru was going to answer his question, another kid came in and answered for him, saving the red haired boy from telling him his plans. They seemed to be good friends, he wasn't surprised they had each others backs like that. "Oh well, guess I'll find out soon enough." He said with a shrug, before hearing a familiar voice nearby which the other kid ran towards. He turned around to see Kirby and Bandanna Dee, the former tackled by the kid who definitely found him adorable.

"Hey Dee, looks like Kirby's got a fan right here." He said, chuckling at the kid cuddling the pink puffball. "The redhead here is Masaru, leader of the Warriors of Hope or something like that, he's gonna be my next opponent. As for the other kid who's cuddling Kirby here, I think he's Masaru's friend." Masaru began speaking again, embracing the boy's praise and saying he was going to win.

"We're all the heroes of our own stories, aren't we?" He replied to Masaru's statement, chuckling as he got the Gun and Volt parts of his name mixed up. "I'll let you know I won't go easy on you. I have too many people counting on me, though I'd assume that's your case as well."

Masaru flashed a peace sign over to the pink fighter than strolled up to them, his way of greeting her...him...them? Shaking his head out of that thought, he grinned in determination at his foe.

“Heh! You got guts, looks like this’ll be a good fight! Fine! But before we fight, shall we say our motto? Surely you know it. If you do, follow along!”

Clearing his throat, he threw his fist toward the sky.

“A Child’s ears are?!?” He called out, before answering himself. “Wonderful Ears!”

“A Child’s Eyes are?!” He Called out once more, pointing to Bowie.

Bowie and Dee
Oh uhh, sorry... Kirby, you just looked really cute and I wanted a hug. I should apologize to you too Dee. I should've probably asked you before just tackling your friend like that. Anyway, I'm Bowie, and this here is my friend Blob!" Blob, however, was not paying much attention to the group as he had hopped away when Bowie tackled the pink puffball. He would be lying if he said he wasn't a little jealous... luckily he couldn't talk so he wouldn't have to lie. Once he was more or less alone, he started to try and take the form of the pink puffball that had shown up to make sure that Bowie wouldn't end up liking it more than him.

Meanwhile, Bowie looked around for a bit and decided he would look for Blob later, it wasn't exactly fair for him to demand that he spend all his time with Bowie, sometimes a Blob needed alone time. Bowie wasn't that worried about it but since he was actively thinking about it, he was completely caught off guard when Masaru started shouting some call and response thing. Taking note of how Masaru had answered his own question before he meekly gave out his answer, unsure if it was correct. "Ummm... Wonderul eyes?"

Dee had accepted the Boy's apology and was just happy they were making new friends. He didn't see the companion the boy had talked about, but didn't think too much of it since Bowie seemed rather unphased by it. He had decided to watch the two kids to see what they were like and was surprised to find that they started chanting. Their world seemed pretty strange.

Sturm exited the arena and looked around. He had witnessed enough for two new units, but there was something missing in him.. a component for the greatest of the trio. His attention was caught by that blob that used to be following that one boy around. The boy did not peak his interests, rather, it was the blob itself. This alien lifeform, like himself, had to have something stored, something which the boy could have used to pass pre-eliminaries. This was enough to be certain about Sturm's next decision. Pretending as if walking to the large rift, Sturm went to walk past the Blob, not without summoning one of his 'human' units out of the Blob's vision. It wasn't a unit that was carrying firearms however, it was a Black Hole Scientist carrying syringes. The small, 4'2ft unit had tried to sneak up to the blob to try and take a sample from it using its syringe, planning to frantically run back to its leader afterward. @Nukas

Gunvolt watched as Masaru proceeded to chant some sort of motto, talking about a child's features, finishing with "a big mouth to gobble up the demons". Are adults really that bad in his world? Or is he just some kind of rebel kid? He wondered as he saw Masaru's snicker on his face, clearly confident in himself. He felt like he had to answer back with his own motto, wanting to show the kid that whatever he was doing in his own world might be wrong, if he was killing adults as he thought he was.

"Oversurge, Azure Striker!" He called out, sky blue electricity pulsing from his boots. "I'll sever your distorted views!" He exclaimed, before turning towards the open gateway that would lead them to Second-to-last Destination.

"Now then, I think it's time for our battle to begin. Best of luck." Gunvolt said, before walking into the gateway and entering the arena, letting Masaru pick the stage as he thought he wouldn't choose one that was too crazy.

“Cut through my...distorted views?? Hold on there!”

“You know my usual, lady!”

In no time at all, the surroundings drastically changed shaped. They now found themselves in the middle of a large coliseum, steel gates surrounding the concrete walls. The stands were filled with a cheering audience wearing metal masks that resembled bears.

Masaru stared at his opponent, snapping his fingers. A controller fell from above Masaru grabbing it and throwing the strap around his neck. Looking at his About-to-be opponent, he wiped his thumb from the tip of his nose.

“Heh! Let’s see what you can do against this, Ass-Urge Striker!”

He pressed the button and commanded his machine. Suddenly, a massive robot broke out of a wall that had Masaru’s emblem plastered on it. Mark Guyver has arrived! It’s drills roared to life as it’s purple eyes locked on his foe. Masaru walked back toward it, allowing The robot to step forward.

Thundering footsteps were heard as Mark Guyver broke through a wall, its massive drills revving up upon its arrival. Gunvolt had faced multiple robots and Sumeragi tanks before, but those drills were definitely deadly, he didn't want to be on the receiving end of those.

So that's what got you this far, eh? Neat robot, Sumeragi would have a better shot if they had one of those. Gunvolt thought as he stared at the Hero Bot, looking for any clues as for apparent weak spots. The drills were most definitely not a thing central to the robot's machinery, and he could take care of a leg or two if they proved annoying enough. His main guesses were the head, which he had some experience taking down from Sumeragi's Mantis and Spyder Units, or the chest, which had a large bear symbol on it.

"Oversurge, Azure Striker! Come forth, divine thunder!" He said as an incantation for himself, before deploying his Flashfield and shooting a barrage of Cerberus darts towards the robot's head and chest, while being ready to dodge any sort of ramming attack it had at its disposal.

As the dart was shot toward the mech, Masaru thought it was just a measly little moves. Smiling, he flipped the switches on their bulky steel controller.

“Go! Mega Drive Drill!”

the thrusters of the mech fired as it attempted to move it’s drills forward. That’s when all the darts hit it’s body, the arms seized up from going rough in front of it. But that didn’t stop the thrusters from jetting it forward. It’s feet dragged across the ground as the the almost limp mech was catapulted forward.

“Wha- what’s going on here?!”

Gunvolt smirked at his attack's success, the robot's thrusters going off as the robot dragged itself along the ground towards him, drills rotating quickly and pointed at him. It was still moving surprisingly quickly for it size, so he'd have to move out of the way soon. His Flashfield's electricity shot out towards the robot's body, shocking it continuously as it came closer. Once Gunvolt thought he'd dealt enough damage, he used a jump and Air Jump to clear the robot safely. Focusing briefly, he got ready to unleash a Skill.

"Crashbolt!" He clamored as lightning struck the area above and below him, which would also shock Mark Guyver even further. Once the attack was done, he'd perform an Air Dash to move away safely, though that would put him at about half of his EP.

The electricity crackled and ringed as it zapped against the armor of Mark Guyver. Singes and black scorch marks littering the areas it was hit in. the movement of the mech started to return, as the legs rose back from what appeared to be suspended animation.

“Finally! Ugh!”

He drove Mark Guyver’s left drill into the ground as the thrusters deactivated, anchoring himself still. He raised his second drill to meet the flipping Gunvolt when-

*CRASH!*

The Crashbolt, true to it’s name, crashed down with a powerful burst of lightning. It struck Guyver’s drill like a lightning rod, channeling through the robot. However, due to the drill that was in the ground, it coarsed through the robot and straight into the ground, leaving Mark Guyver with limited internal damages.

“Wah- wait. He...hehe...I knew he’d be safe of course! Cause lightning and dirt...and stuff. ...Aaaanyway! Let’s rock!”

Using his extended drill, he shot out drill bit. The now A.I. Piloted drill hurled toward Gunvolt, tracking his movements. It would aim to burrow into his chest whilst Mark Guyver removed it’s other drill from the ground, charging toward Gunvolt on the ground.

Gunvolt's Crashbolt wasn't so successful, Mark Guyver driving its drill into the ground to minimize damage, though it seemed like Masaru didn't actually mean to do that. As he landed on the ground and broke into a sprint, the robot shot out its drill, which began adjusting its flight path to follow Gunvolt. It having to turn towards him at the start gave him a bit of a head-start, but Mark Guyver removed its other drill from the ground and began to follow suit. He didn't have much time until the drill got close, and he wouldn't be able to fend off Mark Guyver easily. He did notice the drill slowed down quite a bit while turning, so he could use that to his advantage.

Since Masaru needed to focus while controlling Mark Guyver, Gunvolt decided to launch three electric streams at him to keep him on his toes, before making a sharp turn to force the drill to slow down. He kept turning to throw off the drill as much as possible, while the hulking robot caught up to him.

Once it did, he summoned a Dragonsphere and threw it at Mark Guyver to stun it momentarily, before dashing behind it, going past the side with the missing drill to minimize the amount of danger he'd be in. If things went according to plan, the drill would collide with Mark Guyver while it was stunned, hopefully dealing a lot of damage. As he went behind the massive robot, he began firing Cerberus darts on full auto at its back to rack up the little damage they actually did.

The electricity that Gunvolt initially hurled toward Masaru was magnetized toward Mark Guyver’s center body and head, causing the mech to stumble and spazz, stopping its charge toward Gunvolt.

“Oh yeah? You think your just gonna take in out of commission with your sparkle fingers?! I don’t think so!”

The looming mech, electricity still coursing through it’s body, lifted it’s left arm. It then fired off it’s drill at the incoming Dragonsphere. That’s when the first and second drill burst through it at the same time, sharing the load of the sphere. Though the concussion of the dragonsphere along side the two drills meeting one another cause a loud *PING!*. The dragon sphere was disposed of, but the drills appeared to shut down and get tossed into the dirt, both sticking out in separate locations.

“...Huh? Oh you GOTTA be kidding me! Unfair! Unfair!!” Masaru stomped. “Argh! Whatever! I can beat you even without drills! CHAAAAAAARGE!”

Without the weight of the drills holding it back, Mark Guyver sprinted over towards Gunvolt, aiming to punt him into a wall with it’s foot.

With both drills seemingly shut down, Mark Guyver didn't seem nearly as deadly as he was at the start of the fight. Or at least that's what Gunvolt thought until the robot quickly punted him, hitting him in the gut and sending him flying towards a wall. He used his Flashfield and an Air Jump to avoid smashing into it, but he certainly felt quite some pain from that kick. The robot was clearly faster without the drills holding it back, so he had to play it safe if he couldn't outspeed it.

He continuously used wall kicks to keep himself away from the robot, who now likely had less range and attack options now that its drills were disabled, also wanting to let his tags fade away to land his hits properly. Once the darts' effects were almost gone, he tried launching another electric stream towards Masaru as well as one towards Mark Guyver to keep it busy, also shooting a few darts towards Masaru to hopefully take him out. He was a kid, so he couldn't be too durable, right?
