Dagr

Wings of Fast Defense?! Aw man, that was such a cooler name! She'd have to use that from here on out. There was a swirl of energy and light as Dagr was enveloped by various projectiles. Sun-Wing readied itself to protect Dagr, but the attacks never came. Instead, she suddenly found herself launched in the air. She landed, on a wooden horse? And she was moving too. Jevil had somehow launched her onto a carousel!

"What kind of magic is this...!?" Dagr muttered. But before she could enjoy the merry-go-round, Jevil made it quite apparent that their fight was still on. A circle of spades appeared around her.
"Neat trick! Now it's my turn to show off something cool!" Dagr exclaimed. The Princess jumped up, standing on the back of the wooden horse and grabbing the pole. Magical energy crackled around the blade of her axe.

The magical energy took the form of a dragon's head, and let out a roar. Dagr grinned.
"Dragon Fang!" The Jotun exclaimed. Dagr spun herself around the pole, the magical energy from her Dragon Fang attack and Sun-Wing's wingbeats spinning pirouetting her even faster in the opposite way Jevil dashed around her. Her ax smashed through all the Spade projectiles, the energy dragon sending the ax towards Jevil at incredible speed!

Jevil

As Dagr span around the pole, she noticed that Sun-wing's scrapes from blocking all those attacks had... dissipated. Before she could fully process this, Jevil cried out in his chaotic fashion, "Uee hee hee! You learned to spin and turn, turn and spin!" He seemed genuinely overjoyed. "You, too, can harness the chaos, chaos!"

As they span in opposite directions, with Jevil sliding under and over the Dragon Fang-propelled axe (he was proud of Dagr for making up such a good name), time seemed to slow down as they passed by eachother. In this brief moment, Jevil gave Dagr a quick wink, before time sped up again.
Jevil, in order to fully deal with the axe, decided to simply avoid it. Quickly summoning a Devilsknife, he hooked onto the handle of the axe, then began spinning around it very quickly. The speed would have been enough to simply knock it out of Dagr's hands, however Jevil instead chose to simply launch himself away at high speeds, despawning the Devilsknife as he was launched towards the other statue.

"Uee hee hee! I had an idea, an idea!" Jevil cried, before raising his hands at the carousel... and destroying it. Well, "destroy" is used to describe the chaos it caused, but the more accurate term would be "despawn," where Jevil simply removed the carousel and all of it's horses. Of course, Dagr was still in a position where she was holding onto the pole, so the despawning of that pole, and of the horse, was particularly disruptive to what she was doing.
Before anything happened next, Jevil launched another series of heart grenades at Dagr, this time attempting to land them around her instead of at her.

Magolor
"Ooooh-wee! This place stinks!" Magolor complained as he followed behind Dart, three floating fireballs illuminating the area around him.
The duo came to a stop on a platform, one that caught Magolor's interest.
"Oh, this looks familiar."
With a jolly giggle, Magolor studied the gears, musing to himself.
"Yes, this isn't a perfect match, but these contraptions remind of the ancients handiwork! Though it appeared to be inactive. Strange, normally their stuff is way sturdier than this."
Magolor took a second to think.
"Unless we're meant to start it ourselves?" he said, in deep thought.

Ryuji
Kragg forced his full weight on the phantom thief, though Ryuji did not give Kragg any ground. Just a bit more charge and...
But Kragg wasn't just relying on its weight, and he slammed his foot down on the floor, causing the earth to splinter
Just now realizing Kragg's abilities, Ryuji brought his arm to his face, grunting with pain as the earth burst into spikes that jabbed into the teen and sent him back.
Ryuji wouldn't take that without retaliation however. When they spikes stabbed into the teen, he had charged his next attacks Kragg sent him back, Ryuji summoned William. The Persona threw its fist down over Kragg as revenge, the force of God's Hand releasing a huge explosion of energy as it met the floor!
Ryuji landed clumsily on his back, but rolled back to his feet, cocking his shotgun for no reason other than looking cool.

Alter Knight
Kirin moved swiftly and smoothly, striking against her blade despite taking a bolt of her mana. Alter refused to give her space and thrusted Libera forward, only to find her move parried by Kirin. The priestess struck back with incredible force.
Lighting surged across Alter Knight as Kirin Blade's met her armor, the knight emitting a strained cry as she only moved back a few feet. How many times has she been struck by lightning before? It reminded her of her previous duel with her dumbfaced counterpart, only Kirin wasn't as moronic. So Alter wouldn't let herself get taken off guard again. Her armor held true even as faint traces electricity surged around it, which took on a much brighter blue as Alter redirected it into her blade that flashed the same hue.
The Knight leapt forward, her shield emitting a blue barrier as she tried to ram into Kirin. If the priest evaded, Alter would swing her shield to bash the priestess away, before she created three projectiles with a swing of her blade. Taking the shape of the head of a indeterminate beast, they attempted to bite into Kirin!

Kirin
The priestess’ parry did its job, putting a little more distance between her and Alter Knight as the latter was blasted backward. Kirin took the opportunity to procure another set of talismans, focusing her Septima into them, each one turning white in color. That armor of Alter’s provided a lot more protection than Kirin’s own attire, so she’d need to use all her tools if she wanted to get past that. At least she had one hell of a swing…

Alter Knight was already on the move again, a blue glow enveloping her weapons as she dashed forward with a shield bash. Kirin was quick to evade with a dive to the side - but the following swing of the weapon knocked her away, Kirin rolling along the ground for a moment before she leapt back up, landing back on her feet. The kinetic force behind that was no joke. Three head-shaped projectiles then flew her way, seeking to bite into her, when the Adept quickly threw five talismans in response.

Each head now had a talisman headed for it, while the other two projectiles were aimed at Alter, all thrown with practiced precision. The talismans struck the projectiles, a purple, chain-shaped energy surrounding each one. Then, in a split second—

SLICE!

Kirin zipped from one projectile to the next in quick succession, moving at lightning speeds, azure electricity trailing behind her. Slicing through each one with her Arc Chain technique, the Battle Priestess had suddenly closed the gap between her and her opponent. Should Alter have been struck by one of her talismans, she would similarly warp behind her for a slash at her back. If not, she would use her momentum to go for an overhead slash, sailing above her foe.

Pit
Pit had landed opposite Chai as the guitarist rolled around in pain, his short burst of the Power of Flight ending. Seeing Chai writhing like that made him feel kind of bad… The rockstar was soon up and ready to go again though, this time using… a set of claws over his own arms?!

“No way, you have some too?! Talk about an even matchup!”

Chai was the one to attack first, rushing in with a swipe of his orange claws, forcing Pit to act quickly. The angel swung his own claws, clashing with Chai’s attack, leaving a mark on the divine weapons and knocking him back slightly. How in the world did these even work?

♩♪ I spread my wings and like the midnight sun I will be rising ♫♬

“Not bad!”

In response, Pit moved back in - before he suddenly pivoted around Chai’s body, ending up at his back incredibly quickly. Equipping his claws had a bonus: they gave him a big boost in speed, enabling swift maneuvers like this one! The angel made to swipe twice at Chai’s legs, taking advantage of his increased mobility!

Dagr

Jevil launched himself away, and Dagr stopped spinning around the pole. Then the carousel vanished.
"Whoaaaa!" Dagr exclaimed as the merry-go-round vanished as she was flung off. The Princess landed on her feet, sliding to a stop. Grenades were thrown at her from Jevil, and Sun-Wing quickly lowered its wings. The newly-titled 'Wings of Fast Defense' aura appeared around Dagr and Sun-Wing, protecting them from a majority of the damage of the explosions. The Princess then lunged forward, swiping away the heart projectiles while Sun-Wing knocked away the rest with his wings.

"Aw man, I was just having fun! We don't have rides like that in Jotunheimr!" Dagr said. Suddenly, the whole arena began to shake. The remaining statue collapsed, turning to dust and disappearing. The stone floor beneath the fighters began to shake and change, and a series of platforms rose from the ground. The one nearest to Jevil was rather simple, a platform suspended by wooden beams. The one closer to Dagr was much more complicated. A series of gears moved two platforms in a circular pattern, with another platform making an elevated ramp leading to it.

"Huh. A Ferris wheel now." Dagr said. She dashed towards Jevil.

This little guy is fast... but luckily, we've got a few more tricks!

"Hey, JJ! Are you a devil?" Dagr called out. A pair of lasers suddenly shot from Sun-Wing's eyes! If they hit, they wouldn't cause any damage. Instead, they would slow the Jevil and lower its defenses!

Jevil

Jevil, thinking about as fast as he could, quickly dodged to the platform above, tossing his Devilsknife below him to increase his height quickly. He watched the knife get hit by the laser, but take no damage, and was intrigued. However, he had more important things to do.
"I told you not to call me that!" cried Jevil, finally responding to Dagr's question. "So boring, boring! And yes, I am a devil, but only half, half! The other half is Jester!"

Observing the series of gears on the other platform, then the forest around them, Jevil had an idea. Summoning another Devilsknife, he quickly jumped towards a low branch, hooked onto it, then swung over to the ramp, landing with a quick spin. Quickly rolling several grenades down the ramp, Jevil ran up to the moving platforms, before jumping onto the closest one and placing a Clubsturret on each edge, which would continously launch clubs at Dagr for a while (2 posts).

With one platform successfully locked down, Jevil leaped to the other, farther platform, and began throwing many spades at Dagr, aiming for areas which Sun-wing would have a harder time blocking. At this, Jevil declared, "Spades and Clubs- The pair of blacks!"

Dagr

The little scamp evaded her again. Dagr continued running, clearing the range of the grenades before they could drop down onto her. Clearly, she would have to start thinking bigger with all of this. While Jevil was busy putting down the clubs turrents, Dagr was busy with a plan of her own. With a single swipe, she cut down the small platform at the right of the arena. Jevil turned to start throwing spades, and Dagr grabbed the base of the platform. Sun-Wing fired its eye lasers at Jevil once again.

Letting out a battle cry, the warrior Princess flung the platform at Jevil! It blocked the spades, and if it kept going it would smash Jevil and the mechanism rotating the two platforms, destroying it!

Jevil

"Uee hee-HO!" Jevil cried, interrupted by the sight of a giant platform coming at him. He, for some odd reason, felt as though he couldn't move to dodge it. Must've been that blasted bird... no matter! Instead of dodging the platform, Jevil decided to call his Devilsknife from across the arena. It lifted up from where it was lying, and began spinning rapidly towards him, slashing the platform in half as it landed in Jevils hands.
While Jevil survived, half of the platform slammed into the gears and cogs keeping the other 2 platforms up, and they quickly fell onto the ground and collapsed. "That was a good trick, trick!" cried Jevil. "Chaos is strongest when it changes, morphs, adapts!"

Jevil leaped and rolled towards Dagr as the platform fell, and while doing so, once again transformed into Devilsknife. As he did this, he threw the Devilsknife he had been holding at Dagr, and it charged in a straight line at her while it turned a bright red. 3 other (regular) Devilsknifes appeared and, alongside the one Jevil had turned into, began to spiral around and toward her, repeating the previous time he did this.
Now the Devilsknives are rotating too fast to be grabbed, and if Dagr tries to grab the red one, it will stab into her arm too fast for Sun-wing to block.

Dagr

Dagr swung her ax, hitting away the massive red Jevilknife. The four other ones came around Dagr, and the princess sighed and looked up to Jevil.
"I'm not seeing many changes from you, you! It looks like the same tricks, tricks!" Dagr called back to Jevil, mimicking the jester's speech pattern. The four Devilknives shot towards her. Sun-Wing raised his wings, and the green aura of the 'Wings of Fast Defense' surrounded the duo once more. It stopped three of the Jevilknives in their tracks, with Dagr blocking the fourth one with her ax.

Dagr ran towards Jevil once again, and as she did Sun-Wing fired another round of eye beams! There was a burst of wind around Dagr, and the Jotun disappeared in a blur. She suddenly appeared behind Jevil, her ax crackling with a dragon head of energy. Her Dragon Fang attack! She swung her ax at Jevil, the dragon roaring and propelling it even faster.

But Jevil had dodged this type of attack before. Dagr was aware of it. So she had positioned herself that, should Jevil dodge, the energy from Dragon Fang would continue, smashing through a tree and sending it down upon the little devilish jester!

Jevil

As predicted, Jevil dodged, however this time he was also able to avoid the laser beams from Sun-wing. He'd have to get rid of that bird soon. Dagr's axe smashed into the tree, and it began to fall down on Jevil. Thinking quickly, he rolled to the side, and when it came down on where he was, he slammed into it with the (magically-enhanced) butt end of a Devilsknife, sending it rolling uncontrollably towards Dagr!

"At least I have my own style, style! You're just taking things from me, like a thief, thief!" Jevil cried, unknowingly insulting Dagr for her sudden renaming of the Anti-Rush Shield. As the (magically-sped up) tree rolled towards Dagr, Jevil decided to try something new. Instead of preparing normal heart grenades, he prepared Heart Missiles!

He threw 4 Heart missiles in a spread at Dagr, and they began to home in on her. If they hit, they will deal the most damage to Sun-wing, as Jevil is trying to take him out of commission.

Alter Knight
Alter managed to catch Kirin's dodge, but the priestess quickly recovered, throwing three talismans at Alter's mana beasts, and two more at herself. Alter side stepped one, but the second landed on her shoulder.
An opportunity Kirin was quick not to waste, moving across her projectiles at a speed she could barely track before striking her from behind, sending Alter spinning into the air. The knight quickly regained her bearings, swapping Libera's shape into a bow and pulling back. When she released, a hail of numerous arrows were released over Kirin at once! Soon after, Alter landed on what looked to be an old fashioned Inn.
Using the elevation to her advantage, Alter began to unload carefully aimed shots at Kirin, each charged with a special energy that would weaken her resistance to Alter's magic for a short time, and making sure to hop from building to building to keep from being an easy target herself.

Lucario
"TAKE THE ELEVATOR UP TO THE FLOOR NUMBER EQUAL TO THE SQUARE ROOT OF TWO THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED AND NINE"
Lucario were known as intelligent pokemon, but that question was something only alakazam could answer, especially when under fire at the same time.
But as the M.O.D.O.K clones revved up their weapons, Lucario could read their aura, read their thoughts. Obviously M.O.D.O.K knew the answer, and it flashed in their minds, answering the question for Lucario.
"47, understood."
But what of the elevator? As the M.O.D.O.K's guarded it, it would prove difficult to get to. They fired missiles at the steel type, and it would be difficult to sneak by in this enclosed space.
So Lucario figured he wouldn't use the elevator, quickly turning tail and running away from the M.O.D.O.Ks and their fire. Their laughter was suddenly drowned out by the sound of crashing glass as Lucario burst out the window, aiming its palms down. Aura blasted out, and the pokemon was now running up the Avengers Tower, scaling it from the outside!
Lucario kept track of the floors he passed until he came across floor 47, quickly flipping and bursting through another window! The aura pokemon leapt into action immediately upon seeing or sensing M.O.D.O.K's aura, releasing a wide wave of aura strong enough that some surrounding windows burst apart!

Dagr

Dagr hurdled the tree, taking off in a run.
"Oh, come on JJ! Imitation is the highest form of flattery, flattery!" Dagr called over her shoulder. Jevil launched the heart missiles. Something new! Dagr skidded to a stop next to the destroyed pile of gears, before kicking up the largest one and using it as a shield to block the first Heart Missile. The 'Wings of Fast Defense' decended, blocking the remaning three missiles. This Jevil was quick, real quick. He was avoiding all of her attacks, even when she was using her special moves. Maybe she could try something else, hyping him up and seeing if he'll make a mistake that way.

"Meh, still pretty boring. 3 out of 10." Dagr said. The giantess pirouetted, before turning and sticking out her tounge. "Blehhh!"
Dagr turned and dashed into the woods, moving between the scarlet trees for cover.

Jevil

"Three out of ten!? I am insulted, INSULTED!" Jevil cried, genuinely insulted by the low rating. He chased after Dagr through the trees, however quickly lost her position. Time for something else! Instead of trying to find Dagr manually, Devil deployed another new thing he had planned- the Clubsdrone. Independent, magical drones which would seek after Dagr and attempt to locate her, before firing a stream of clubs at her and notifying Jevil of her location.

"And nay, my dear, flattery isn't my desire, desire!" He yelled into the forest, as he did not know where Dagr was. "Chaos, chaos isn't about the same, it's about the new, new! If you want to be a force of chaos, chaos, then be yourself! If everyone is themself, then there is no order, only the joyous True Chaos of the True World!"

Chai

Coming back in for an attack, eh? I'll show ya what these babies can really do!

Preparing for Pit's attack, he revved up his claws, pulling them back, though Pit suddenly outmaneuvered him, evading last where his eyes would follow. However, he saw something in the jumbo screen. In third person perspective, he could see Pit right behind him, aiming lower!

"Hup!"

Using this extra angle of sight, Chai hopped acrobatically, the tip of Pit's claws striking the slimiest threads of his jeans. His own claws still revved back, Chai threw them forward, claws detaching from him and whirling around in a cyclone, slicing and slicing in rapid circular motions down at Pit!

Dagr

Dagr's laughter echoed through the forest.
"HA! Ha ha ha! Oh my gosh, are you for real?!" Dagr called out. "You've been using the exact same strategy this entire time we've fought! Dodge, run away, shoot from a distance! You talk about chaos JJ, but you're as predictable as they come! Heck, the most chaotic thing was the merry-go-round and you made it vanish the moment it showed up."

The princess continued jogging in the forest, keeping a loose circle around the Arena Ferox area. Jevil seemed to have lost her, which was good. She'd keep throwing insults his way, trying to unbalance him that way. Not that Jevil seemed remotely balanced.
"C'mon, you said you were part jester. Where's the jests? Make some jokes, do some juggling, drop your pants, do some political commentary. The only thing I've laughed at so far has been your talk of chaos!" Dagr said.

Suddenly, the Princess spotted a Clubsdrone. And it spotted her. Dagr quickly jumped behind a tree, scooping up a small stone as the Clubsdrone peppered the ground around her and the tree she was hiding behind with projectiles. She leaned out, launching the stone with great force, and it shattered the flying club.

Looking through the trees, Dagr could tell Jevil spotted her again. The Princess stuck out her tongue again, pirouetting at the Jevil and running off.
"Bleh, bleh!"

Jevil

After Dagr pirouetted, Jevil suddenly felt physically weaker, as if he was less resilient. Blast that spinning magic! It had the tendancy to hurt as often as it helped... However, Jevil had a new idea. "I never was one for politics, politics. The last time I told someone my view of the world, they trapped the entire world in a prison and left myself as the only one still free, free!" Jevil cried, silently metamorphosising into Devilsknife...

Having "seen" what Dagr had done to the Clubsdrone, Jevil saw that the Forest was a large issue, so he decided to remove the forest. He slashed into a tree with grand force, instantly cutting through it with incredible speed. He, as Devilsknife, began to spin faster and faster, eventually chopping down the tree, before bouncing to the next one and going even faster, chopping it down in half the time as the tree before it, then bouncing to another and chopping it down at another double the speed... he was snowballing! He spawned other Devilsknives and they, too, began to help in simply erasing the forest where Dagr was expected to be. Meanwhile, Clubsdrones continued to search for Dagr, as a dark cloud appeared on the horizon...

(Five turns)

Dagr

As Dagr ran, she noticed a sudden change in Jevil. A change in stance, like a sudden wave of exhaustion. She had seen this type of effect before, like how Sun-Wing's beams weakened enemies. Huh. Each time she had spun around, something strange had happened. Sun-Wing had been healed. A weird noise had played. And now Jevil appeared to be weakened. It was like her spinning around, pirouetting, was causing some effect to occur. Some sort of weakness in Jevil? A side effect of his magic? It was the oddest side effect she had ever seen. And he had even encouraged her to do it.

Very, very cool...

"Man, really? You must have jested for some really weak royalty! Only the most pathetic wimps of kings and queens allow the jester to wound their pride that badly." Dagr called out. She ducked behind some bushes, having lost Jevil once again. But the little jester devil wasn't following her. Instead, he was... attacking the trees at random? Really? No, that wasn't it. He was clearing away the forest...

Dagr frowned. Goading Jevil didn't seem to be working all that much. And this running and hiding wasn't really her style. Her blade and her bird wanted to attack head on... and so she would.

Winds whipped around Dagr, and she launched herself forward in a blur. As she did, energy crackled around her ax. Dagr dashed in front of the massive Devilsknife, right in the path it was cutting. She swung her ax to meet it, powered up by her Dragon Fang special attack! At the same time, Sun-Wing fired its eye beams, hoping to weaken Jevil's defenses even further and lower his speed.
"Durability test!" Dagr exclaimed.

NEPHTHYS

She needed to check herself. The gardevoir might have been a powerful psychic but she'd already been humbled twice today - not to mention this was a domain where another psychic like the spirit had the most control. She was in unfamiliar territory, against an unknown threat, without any guaranteed support to back her up. It might not be unwise to consider backpedaling a little bit, lest she provoke another fight that was out of her league.

His retort left her almost at an impasse. She had already acknowledge her mostly neutral intent here. She was investigating this disturbance for the kid. Realistically speaking, she could simply return back to the surface and just tell him what she found. Her word would be fulfilled. But on the other hand, this was an entirely separate entity; an invasive force preying on a weaker mind, and taking control on a whim. That could be dangerous, and could result in an eventual removal of the original mind as this spirit gained eventual total possession.

Nephthys took a moment to sense her surroundings, particularly the spirit, while trying not to be obvious with her prodding. She got the sense that he was not full. Something about this entity seemed... incomplete, almost. Did that imply he really was a part of Bakura, and not an invasive mind? Or did he intend to absorb Bakura to make himself complete? Either seemed likely possibilities, but a third, uncertain variable wasn't off the table either.

<You can concern yourself with 'what if' scenarios, spirit. They do not pertain to me, and nor does your ambition. I came only seeking an answer for a lost child without them. I have found enough. Should you have nothing else to tell, then I am done here.>

KASSANDRA

Jeice wasn't handling the loss well. Kassandra tried not to look at him, out of some residual fear that she may see the faces of those she had lost again. Her eyes instead traveled back up to the crowd dome surrounding the lobby, seeking out Specter. The ape again raised a glass to her in approval. A third fight down, with the misthios victorious... it was around this time last tournament that she'd been disqualified. Kassandra was performing far better than she had last time.

She was quick to take her eyes away from Specter's approving gaze, suddenly feeling awkward. Even... ashamed? She wasn't ashamed of him, or anything she had done concerning him, she felt certain of that. Her shame had roots somewhere else, somewhere... deeper in her mind. It was an uncomfortable feeling, enough to make her internally squirm with uncertainty and festering pain.

Aletheia... that's right, the memory of the Isu wished to speak to her.

Kassandra was quick to dart her way out of the lobby, trying to find a place to hold a private conversation with the construct.

DART

"That's a good point," Dart pondered, stroking his chin, deep in thought. It seemed to be a mildly laborious task.

"Oh, hey! I got it!" The mercenary snapped his fingers in finality. "You used wind magic earlier that awakened the Spirit, right? Well, I bet if you did that again, maybe it'll do more! Like, perhaps, getting this place moving? It could be element based, and I don't think my element will do the trick."

He felt pretty proud for coming up with this one. It might have seemed a little far-fetched to the average person, but from Dart's world, it seemed the most logical solution to this "puzzle," given the context clues already provided.

M.O.D.O.K.

CRASH!

"WHAT!?"

A wave of aura energy spiraled through the room - a large rectangular space filled with monitors, consoles, and hanging wires. Aside from the orange light that streamed in through now-broken windows, the room maintained a rather dull, cold blue aura, not dissimilar to the Lucario's own color. A potential visual camouflage, perhaps? It certainly would make the speedy Pokémon a little harder to spot with the naked eye.

"NO, NO! IT IS IMPOSSIBLE! THERE IS NO CONCEIVABLE WAY YOU MANAGED TO SOLVE MY EXPERTLY CRAFTED EQUATION! IT WOULD HAVE REQUIRED AT LEAST A FEW SECONDS OF BRIEF THOUGHT FOR EVEN THE LIKES OF TONY STARK! YOU ARE NOT AN INTELLIGENT CREATURE! YOU'RE JUST A MINDLESS BEAST OF VIOLENCE! YOU CHEATED! CHEATED! CHEATEEEEEER!!!"

M.O.D.O.K. threw a tantrum as he screamed, kicking his legs out as he shook his arms with fury. The aura blast portion that had struck the Man-Mind had dissipated against his waning shields - though the momentary break in damage had allowed their integrity to recover by a slight margin.

"ENOUGH GAMES, YOU MANGY MUTT! I WILL SHOW YOU TRUE CONQUEST! I AM GENIUS! I AM M.O.D.O.K.!!!"

From his forehead, the honing psychic beam fired, ripping through steel and wire as it zigged and zagged toward Lucario, closing in on him regardless of where he moved as the Mechanized Organism cackled, his large eyes fixated on the Aura Pokémon.

Audrey Redheart
"Hwar- Huh!?" Once more, the Hero forgot to catch herself off-guard, as sand swept and lifted Audrey's own right foot off the ground. It threw off her stance, obviously, as sand began to wash down on Audrey, who was swinging wildly to get rid of it. It soon began to drag her towards a moat, pinning the Hero down despite her wild slashes.

"Gr..." As it began to pull her down further, Audrey took the chance to stab her blade into the ground next to her, holding onto it with remarkable strength despite the sand. It was painful, though it seemed to pass as she hung over the edge, out of sight where Grazie was when Audrey first charged. Redheart then pulled herself back up, huffing and puffing.
"Shoot...Close." She murmured, focusing on getting her own footing built up again.

The Warlock
The Warlock's smirk disappeared when he saw Rex's survival, despite the Duelist's pains.
"Never bother with a true finishing move..." He muttered to himself. "It is, I suppose, best to work with Irony." He turned an eye towards the Two Headed King Rex, whose Daze would wear off soon enough. He stuck out another hand, allowing Psionic energy to flow in an attempt to take the Dino's mind.

"Destroy." He whispered a command, simple and pure. He stuck his other hands to the sky, as if summoning energy from the heavens. 3 White-clad soldiers appeared, ADVENT's Priests. "You understand what to do." He ordered, much to the minor bewilderment of the Priests for a moment as they looked upon the destruction and also the Dinosaur, a type of creature they believed was extinct. Still, they got it after a moment, as they drew large Psionic Amplifiers off their backs, sending energies into the head of the Two Headed one. An empowerment of sorts, one tied to the Priests themselves.

"Good...!" The Warlock laughed once more, raising both hands to the sky in a sudden motion, bright light flashing as King Rex disappeared and reappeared behind Rex Raptor with a purple pillar of light. "Now, SLAY, Beast!"

Rex Raptor

In a flash of light, Two Headed King Rex appeared next to the similarly dinosaur named duelist. As the shaggy haired boy flipped around, he noticed something off about the Jurassic giant...like it had the same spell over it that his other Dinos had! Thankfully he had something just for the occasion!

"Remember who your real master really is! Reveal face down card! Jurassic Heart!" He called out as a card manifested in the air. "I get to negate one effect inflicted by an enemy on my dino, and I want to get rid of that nasty hold!"

And echoing pulse of a heartbeat resonated throughout the area as Two Headed King Rex fought off the psychic hold, their yellow eyes snapping to. Rex pointed towards the building, the super charged Dino belching out a stream of raging charcoal flames! The flames burned brighter and brighter as they engulfed the entire structure, the empowered Dino setting whole the building on fire!

"Nyeh-heheheheh!!" Rex cackled. "You mess with the king, you get the beast!!"

The Warlock

The once triumphant smirk had disappeared from the Hybrid's face once more, completely this time.
"Clever little brat." He sneered, quickly taking to the skies with his wings, thanking his foresight that he had bought the flower when he could. Below, the three Priests were quickly scorched, much to a combination of Amusement and Anger from a certain Psionic.

"Heretic! You will pay for your offenses against the Elders' most divine servents." He added, his voice booming once again. "Unfortunately for you, I have a new toy to test anyway."

More energy began to quickly pull itself out of the area, pollutants gathering themselves into the flower on The Warlock's neck. A dark shade of purple matching that of skin, followed by black - It was clear the city landscape provided plenty for this to absorb, especially with the fire Two Headed just started. Kirin
Her Arc Chain had resulted in another successful hit on Alter Knight, prompting the warrior to fight from further away, unleashing a storm of arrows upon Kirin. Without many tools to actually deal with the attack, the priestess was forced to run, darting to the side as the arrows rained down on her. Swinging her sword above her as she moved, she managed to deflect a few that came too close, but a couple arrows slipped past her guard, striking her right shoulder and left thigh, another one grazing her cheek.

She finally found cover behind a large arcade machine just as Alter began to fire another series of arrows, the projectiles stabbing into the device. Its lights and screen flickered out pretty quickly, but it held strong. Kirin's mind raced as she tried to come up with a way to deal with this method of attack, conjuring two more sets of talismans. She couldn't quite Arc Chain just yet- something about this tournament was preventing her from doing so. But maybe...

Peeking out of her cover for a moment, Kirin threw the first set of five talismans in a spread, each one lodging itself in a different tree, structure or rooftop nearby Alter. Another shot rang out as she tucked back in, avoiding the precise shot just in time, holding on to her second set of talismans for now. Regardless of how her opponent dealt with the talismans, the Battle Priestess would sprint out of cover, trying to close the gap a little as she made for the next piece of available cover: a small restaurant. As she did so, a wave of near-transparent psychic energy would burst outward from her weapon, though it had no effect on her opponent.

The talismans were the ones to react instead, changing into purple clones of Kirin with a flash of light! They would each dash at Alter, swords at the ready, seemingly unaffected by gravity as they flew freely.

A mix of blood, tattered robes, and feathers fell around the angel as Chai's attack went on. This was bad. He couldn't just stay pinned down here, he needed to get moving! A flash of light covered his arm as Pit quickly lunged forward, swapping his weapons out. A large golden gauntlet now covered his entire right arm, a red disc-like attachment on its tip. It spun like a wheel as Pit closed in, swinging his Upperdash Arm with all his might. It didn't appear as menacing or powerful as his other weapons, but its strength was quite deceiving. She fled into the temple, clearly trying to set up a confrontation in a more confined space. He was planning on keeping the fight on his own terms, though. Masters crept towards the temple, but instead of entering through the obvious front door, he went around the side, seeking alternate entrances. He found a crack in the ceiling- perfect.

With the upper body strength of a supersoldier, the Taskmaster clambered up the thick vines that ran up the wall and onto the roof. As they felt the vibrations come alarmingly close, NiGHTS gave a little tap with the tip of her foot. Suddenly, the hand of the clock began to revolve. Fast. Hold on, was that mild praise? The Warlock realised what he said a moment later, frowning at himself - A slight crushing sensation within his mind as the stage faded around him.

Next he knew, the Mindripper was back in the lobby. The crushing in his head stopped, as though the influence of the Elders realised they could be more easily seen here - While ADVENT wasn't exactly tactical masters, Cover was their main forte for a reason.

It seemed he was the first of the Loser's Bracket to win, as unpleasant as thinking that felt, though some Winner's Bracket fights had finished. Dart did not appear among them, which only made the Alien believe his foe was holding back on his current foe. Or something worse - For all Mordenna's faults, the Warlock couldn't help but feel a smidge of respect for the Human. Only a smidge, of course.

He spotted one of those from the winner's bracket, the woman called 'Kassandra', darting off to the side. Given the look on her face, he could only assume she was trying to speak to a Superior (of sorts) in private, something the Warlock knew all too well and could respect. On the other hand there was...What looked like another small child, seemingly just hanging around (He could gleam from the brackets this one was 'Rinku', not too impressive), as well as a pale blue lady (Named as 'Irnane' by the Brackets) who reminded him far too much of his 'Sister' in appearance, that Assassin.

He'd never admit it to anyone, but if the Mindripper could have either of his 'Siblings' back, he'd choose his 'Sister' in a heartbeat. Thus he hesitated slightly before a crude thought came to mind; These were the kinds of people who were still above him in the tournament. That stung...
There was that slight crushing feeling again. The Warlock needed to keep his emotions in check.

Bakura stood up, dark energies swirling around him. He looked Neph up and down once again, and began walking towards her.
"Quite a problem we have..." Yami Bakura said. Part of the darkness swirled around his left arm, forming a duel disk.

The Princess waited, watching the entrance to the temple for Taskmaster to enter. But after a few moments, there was still no sign of him. Both Nótt and Moon-Wing began carefully scanning the interior of the keep while keeping an eye on the main entrance. Where was he? Had he found one of the secret entrances?

A shadow. Moon-Wing screeched, raising its wings to defend the Princess. The shot struck the side of Moon-Wing's neck, knocking a few scales off of the armor it wore. Nótt quickly turned and fired a magical blast at Taskmaster. This blast was much larger and more powerful, the energy beam taking the form of a roaring dragon. Her Dragon Fang special attack! It would be powerful enough to blow a massive hole in the crack of the ceiling, and even if her powerful blast missed, it would send stone shrapnel flying all around the area of the blast.

He pressed his back against the roof as the Dragon Fang tore through the stone less than a foot away from him. As the attack neared its end, Masters had half a mind to peek back inside, but the jotun princess came speeding out from the hole with a powerful kick.

Taskmaster quickly leaned out of the way as the woman's sandal cleaved through more of the roof. He had thrown his weight towards the edge, which was difficult to stop on this slanted roof. At the same time, Sun-Wing raised its left wing and hit the spade out of the air!

NEPHTHYS

So he wasn't a natural part of Bakura. The spirit had confirmed as much. He was an invasive entity with undoubtedly villainous intentions. Neph narrowed her crimson eyes, before her gaze darted to the duel disk he was forming.

She had to suppress a groan at the sight of that, reminded of Rex and Weevil, and considering the darkness theme of this guy, she was most strongly reminded of Rex's trump card he'd used (which she still viewed as a relatively unfair summon. At least Weevil's giant moth had requirements and needed time to use.)

<There is no 'we,' this is your problem,> the gardevoir replied, staring coldly back. <You strike me as an individual used to getting his way. You're so used to being superior, right? Bigger and better than those around you. Always one step ahead. I get it, I'm the same way. But you seem to underestimate several things. One: this realm we are within is beyond either of our power and total comprehension. Should the tournament's host see it fit, he could simply erase you and free me. Two: you do not know how the psychic energy of my world works. You assume to have me trapped without hope of escape, at your mercy. You premuse incorrectly. Three: you underestimate me. Make this easier for the both of us and release me, or you may attract more attention than you can hope to handle.>

If her assumption was correct in that fighting within the lobby was unallowed, then there was a chance that even in this deep subconscious, if a fight were to break out, the Master Hand would still be capable of detecting it, and interfering. At least, Nephthys hoped. While her threat had been partially a bluff, as she didn't know his capabilities or psychic prowess, she was relying on both Master Hand's omniscience and the spirit's potential lack of knowledge on her to give her an edge.

Yami Bakura

The dark spirit paused, and slowly looked around the room once again. He pondered Neph's words, but was quick to shake them off.
"Did you know, monster..." Yami Bakura said. "That within the plaza of this tournament, there is a sparring area? A very curious addition, seeing that Master Hand was quite specific that any fighting outside of the tournament would be met with elimination. Then again, the contestants that were using it were already out of the tournament."

"Could it be, that Master Hand doesn't care what those who have lost the tournament do?" Yami Bakura asked with a grin. "No, I think we won't be seeing any meddling from that creature here. You are the one out of your depth here, monster."

The dark spirit drew a trio of cards off the top of his deck.
"Shall I read your fortune? Let's look." Yami Bakura said. "First, your past."
The white haired teen revealed the first card. It was a monster card, one depicting a cheerful, pink, spherical fairy with wings.

"Ah. The Tenderness monster." Yami Bakura said. "Your past was a happy one, yet difficult. Your circumstances forced you to learn the value of patience, and temperance."

Yami Bakura revealed the second card. It was another monster card, one that depicted a powerful tan-skinned woman with long red hair.
"Now your present. The Empress Judge. You have gone through an incredible journey, gaining power and accomplishing great deeds. You've become an incredibly powerful warrior, destroying all who stand in your way. But look. It's been drawn upside down. You've lost something recently...
