Ray nodded in agreement with Azumi and waved sentimentally to Micheal and Jodi as they departed.
"It's been a good run... Hate to admit it, but we couldn't have done it without you! So long for now..."
He noticed Otis and Oliver following Maker and smiled as he realized that, since they were staying at the Towers residence too, he wouldn't have to say goodbye to them quite yet...
He looked forward and lost himself in thought as Azumi pushed him, contemplating everything that'd happened: his life had changed so much recently, and in ways he never could've anticipated... He really had no idea what the future may have in store for him, but he had never been more excited to find out!
!~~~***1.5 years later***~~~!
In the aftermath of Tempest's rise and fall in Kalos, the recurrent issue of 'evil teams' has been at the forefront of the world's attention. With teams like Rocket, Galactic, Flare, etc. rising to prominence time and time again, no matter how many times they are put down, it has become apparent that dealing with them on a case-by-case basis is only a superficial, and ineffectual solution to a much deeper problem - that problem being: why do evil teams emerge in the first place? The answer to that is simple enough: because the world is not a perfect place, and there are always marginalized people willing to create, or join such teams...
But what to do about this problem? on this question, people are divided; and the Sinnoh Region, in particular, has become a region of great political strife.
Some say: "Show no mercy to evil team members - we ought to lock them all up and throw away the key!" " Others say: "We should show them sympathy - it's not their fault that they turned out this way!" Then, there are several fringe groups gaining traction, like the Sinnohan Society for Mythic Retrogression (SSMR), who harbour their own bizarre beliefs on how to combat the issue... Not to mention that there are still Team Galactic supporters around...
All-in-all, the Sinnoh Region has become very unstable; the public is fearful of the next 'evil uprising,' and is in disagreement on to what to do about it... With so many politicians and ideologues fighting to take control of the situation, there may be some nefarious schemes afoot... Which is why Azumi Towers, a new recruit of the international police, has been sent to investigate...
(With regards to what other people want to RP as, I'm open to anything as long as it works with the plot - so just run it by me!)
BEGIN!
Name: Ray Montag
Age: 19
Gender: male
Team: Typhlosion, Dusknoir, Corsola, Mismagius, Feraligatr, Tyranitar
Bio: Ex-criminal. Lived in Johto for most of his life, and was part of team rocket until they disbanded. Moved to Kalos to join Tempest, but wound up helping to take down the organization (earlier in the RP). In a relationship with Azumi Towers.
"Feraligatr, I told you to stop! Listen to me, will you? I'm trying to help you, y'know!"
It was nighttime, and Ray had snuck out to the craters of Veilstone City to try and tame his older brother's pokemon, but to no avail... The feral alligator continued to smash through boulder after boulder with Dragon Claw in an animalistic frenzy, with no regard for the trainer's commands...
Ray sighed and recalled the pokemon, before sitting dejectedly against a boulder and looking up at the sky. His brother had been a crimelord back in Kalos, and had raised his pokemon to be quite brutal... But now that his brother was locked away for good, Ray had been given two of his pokemon to care for, and it was no easy task... Neither Feraligatr nor Tyranitar would listen to him, and they both had a tendency to fall into fits of uncontrollable rage...
Ray decided it was best not to attempt to bond with them anymore tonight, and instead sent out Mismagius, who had recently been cured of the cybernetic enhancements inflicted upon her by Tempest.
The pokemon floated around peacefully in the night, and Ray smiled at seeing her back to normal again.
