Lily fought through the stinging pain of the previous lightning bolt strike as she would lift up Benjy high in the air, in spite of his struggles, and aimed to slam him down to the ground as hard as she could in an effort to take advantage of his inability to shift forms.

Ash had gazed on the underground area in aww before she listened to the teacher explain their activity, their opponent this "Adaptdroid" and the fact the she and her partner Kendra were selected to go first. With a deep breath Ash made her way to the arena as she would wait for her partner to join her as well as the teacher to explain what task they would be given.

No matter what, I've just got to give it my all. Just hope me and Kendra are able to compliment each other.

 

[Ariados twice]

Kendra followed Ash to the arena. She glanced at the Adaptdroid as she walked over. 'What is that thing going to do? And what is it capable of?' Kendra wondered.

"T-that's a pretty cool ability." Kevin said, having taken a moment to think over Ryker's words. And he was right, indeed Kevin was not alone anymore. Those days in the lab in total isolation in fear having long passed him it seemed. Not just his mother and even Oliver, but Ryker, Aura and now numerous others had grown to accept him. This was beyond what Kevin could have dreamed about, and he owed it to all of them to master his own abilities and put that beast to rest.

Even Oliver, though its expression having not given anything away, seemed touched by Ryker's assessment.

Rebecca did not have the time to protest before the lollipop was jammed into her mouth. Rebecca had to admit, this nurse was...a character to say the least. None the less she had felt that burning pain in her arm fade as it had been healed so she could not deny the nurse was good at her job. Rebecca would make it back to her feet and gave a respectful bow.

"Thank you." Rebecca said before she made her way back to class, watching that "Death Touch" student's friend fighting another student who she could not at the moment recognize. Perhaps a shape shifter? Either way Rebecca would cast but one worried glance at Andrew before she sat down away from him and his other friend and took focus of the fight.

Candice grinned as she would lead the other students to some stands so they could sit and watch their classmates as she pressed some more buttons on her watch as the arena began to generate a virtual replica of a major downtown city. Right behind Ash & Kendra would be a large bomb and a virtual person who seemed to have been a part of a bomb defusal team. The Adaptdroid would move towards the other end of the virtual city which left Ash and Kendra alone for the moment. Candice would activate a mic as she began to explain their task.

"As you can see, there is a big bomb behind you. Fortunately, your friend Steve there happens to be the top bomb defusal specialist who is here to take care of it. Unfortunately, this bomb is rather complex and he will need fifteen minutes to defuse it completely. And to make it worse, the Adaptdroid is here to ensure that does not happen. Your task is simple, you are to either keep the Adaptdroid away from Steve until the fifteen minute time limit passes or defeat and destroy the Adaptdroid itself. Don't worry, I have more. However, if Steve is disposed of the bomb will automatically trigger and your team will fail the task. I will begin the timer and the exercise once I recieve a signal from both members of the team that they are ready." Candice explained over the mic as she would wait for Ash and Kendra to give the signal, whether it be a thumbs up or something, to begin the exercise.

Emily figured what she was doing wasn't working, so she would try a different approach. Emily would grin as she began to tickle the sleeping Sammy's sides in an effort to wake the slumbering girl up.

Celia watched the battle with intrigue, she felt unconditional good-will towards this 'Lily' girl because her powers resonated slightly with the young Dryad. On the other hand, the boy called 'Benjy' had quickly been associated with the term 'Forest Fires' in Celia's mind. Lava and Lightning? This kid was practically the bane of forests everywhere. She quickly made a mental note to never let Benjy get within 100ft of her main body, lest he accidentally causes a forest fire and kills her...

Well, disregarding the threats to her existence the students of CoDA seemed rather interesting in their own way. Turning away from the fight Celica noticed a rather large group of students. Deciding that was probably the best way to make friends she decided to strut over there and introduce herself. Thus, a few moments later, Celica was standing behind them. From what she'd heard from the Dryad elders humans had a greeting known as a 'handshake', she'd never done it before because of... tree reasons but she knew the gist of how it was performed. With a nervous and sheepish grin, she stuck her hand out awkwardly to the nearest student and introduced herself.

"Umm...H-hello? I'm Celica Scarlatti, P-p-pleased to make y-your acquaintance."

 

[Ariados twice]

Laila realize that someone had introduced themselves and offered a hand for a handshake. Everything about this girl screamed "tree". She resisted the urge to bring out her claws and sharpen them. Instead she accepted the offered hand and shook it. "I'm Laila, it's nice to meet you Celica."

 

[Ry_Burst]

Benjy was slammed against the group knocking the wind out of him, leaving him gasping for air. “Okay, I’m done,” he mouthed, before shifting back to his human form, and standing up.

“You okay?” He asked weakly as he regained his voice to his opponent. He took a few steps across the field to make sure Lily was okay. That bolt of electricity was meant to be a light shock, but he had overdid it. He hoped she wasn’t in too bad of a state form the misjudgment of the electricity level.

 

[SS-I Never]

The bell rung, indicating the battle was over, and Mr. Kinito exclaimed, "The battle is over by surrender! The winner is Lily!"

Suzy was so happy, and she started cheering. "Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!" exclaimed Suzy, "You did it Lily! I knew you could win! Woo-hoo!" Suzy was so excited that her friend had won the battle. But, Suzy felt like Benjy was holding back. There was no need for him to go into his electric form when his fire form was way better of a counter to Lily's powers. Suzy couldn't really understand why he would do such a thing, but it didn't matter because Lily won.

Mr. Kinito then pulled two other names from his hat, "Lucas and Ella shall be the next students to commence in battle!"

Suzy then heard who the next two combatants would be, and she didn't know either students, but she was still excited to see another battle. Every single battle, in her opinion, had been amazing, and she couldn't wait to see what her associates had in store.

Lily, shortly after she had won, fell to a knee as she still felt a the painful tingling sensations from the previous thunder bolt. Lily had been surprised when, after giving up, Benjy went over to ask if she was okay.

"I'll be okay, everything just stings. Good fight." Lily said with a weak smile as she made it back to her feet, though even in her walking it was clear she had not been totally free of the longing pain.

Damn it, probably am gonna have to go to the nurse as well. Just what I need.

Diego and Serenity kept their eyes focused on the next match, Serenity for the purpose of studying each classmate to see what they could do while Diego cared more because all of them minus the Andrew & Rebecca fight had been fun to watch. Even the Andrew/Rebecca fight was fun till the ending, which Diego had felt a little guilty over as he worried he and Serenity might have overrated.

Andrew had thoughts on other matters, though he tried to take his mind on those self-harming thoughts as he tried to focus on the next match.

Ash thought over what the teacher said as the arena shifted to look very much like a big city setting. Ash could not even take in the wonder as the teacher finished explaining what the task herself and Kendra had been given. Alright, protect that Steve guy and bash the robot. Seemed simple enough. Ash would turn to Kendra.

"Anything you want to talk about? The only thing I wonder is can we touch this virtual stuff. Other than that I think I'm ready whenever, so if you're good as well you can give the signal to the teacher we're ready." Ash said to Kendra as Ash only wondered if she could use her powers to influence certain objects in this virtual world. Ash did not believe the teacher would throw a student in a situation where they could not use their powers, but she had no way of knowing how things would work here.

Celia nodded her head slightly at Laila's introduction and flashed a slight smile. She felt a bit uneasy about the look Laila was giving her but she eventually dismissed it as her imagination. After the bell rung, signifying the end of the match, Celia turned her attention to the two Combatants who should've been making their way off the field. She took a moment, tilting her head in thought before she swiped a few leaves from off her person and topped them with a few drops of Nectar. She lifted the leaves above her head and entrusted them to the two swallow who'd been silently perched on her horns. She would've carried them over herself but she was still rather wary on Benjy's transformations.

Before long the Swallow-pair was hovering in front of the combatants the leaf-dishes of nectar held loosely in their talons. The leaves buzzed slightly and emitted a short voice-recording,

"Great battle you two! You should be more careful though, drink a few drops of my nectar. Although it won't do much for your heavier wounds, it'll hold you till you reach the Nurse's office. Oh, and before I forget, I'm Celica. Nice to meet you~"

Lucas heard his name called by the teacher. He was ready to battle but he didn't know who 'Ella' was.
"Maybe She's new, like her..." Lucas thought to himself. Lucas then saw Ella moving to the battlefield. She looked quite nervous.
"Or maybe it Is her..."
"Oh no, I will need to use my wings.... Hey, It's that boy from before...."

Lucas Stood on one side of the battlefield and exhaled poisonous gas. He was ready though he was afraid she wasn't going to like him after the fight.

Ella Closed her eyes. All of a sudden, Purple, Butterfly Shaped wings appeared on her back. She began to fly. She was ready.

Lily blinked a bit when she was offered this healing nectar from a pair of swallows, but when she drank said nectar and instantly began to feel better. The pain did not vanish, but it became much more tolerable as she gave a smile.

"Thank you Celia, my name is Lily. Thank you." Lily said to the recording before she decided to go to the nurse's office anyway. The way Lily figured, it wouldn't take much time given Celia's healing nectar helped with the recovery so she wouldn't miss much of the next match. Besides, it was better to play it safe than sorry.

 

[Ariados twice]

"Sure, I'm good. So what should we use as out signal to let Ms. McKnight know we're ready?" Kendra asked. Clay, Tia, and Ryka watched with the other students. They were eager to see what would happen and what Ash and Kendra would do.

Ash thought it over, going over to a vritual car and touching it just to see what would happen. Funny enough, she was able to touch it as if there was really a car there. Ash was sure to do this in full view of Kendra so she would take note of that as well.

So in spite of being a digital town, we can interact with it. That's something to keep in mind.

"I think a good ole thumbs up will work just fine." Ash said to Kendra before she would flash a thumbs up to signify that she was ready for this task to begin. Now Ash had her chance to prove herself in front of her peers, though Ash could only hope her power and Kendra's could work well together.

 

[SS-I Never]

As soon as Lucas and Ella were on the battle field, Mr. Kinito would then ring the bell, initiating the battle between the students.

Suzy kept her attention on the battle just like the rest. She didn't know much about either student's powers, so she couldn't come up with any strategies for either or predict who would win. All she knew was that Ella has butterfly wings, and that was about it. Still, she would figure out the student's powers soon enough.

When Lily arrived at the nurse's office, Ms. Reeds would be surprised. "Aren't you the one who brought in that other girl?" asked Ms. Reeds, "I wouldn't have expected for you to come back so soon. So, how may I help you?" Ms. Reeds then grabbed another one of her lollipops and started licking it.

Lucas Sprinted at Ella once the bell rung. Ella waited for him to get closer. Lucas then opened his mouth. There were poisonous liquids inside his mouth, seeping through his teeth. He was going to bite her and inject harmful poison he chose himself... Not Deadly Enough to kill you (Lucas thought though he couldn't remember) but it would hopefully end the battle since it would be dangerous. Ella looked horrified when seeing the poison. She knew what she was going to do though. Ella generated a Proboscis and flew in the air, waiting. When Lucas finally launched himself at her. She shrunk to the size of a butterfly. Lucas couldn't stop himself so he crashed into the wall head first, leaving a dent where he hit his head. Lucas Scowled at the butterfly. He wasn't giving up that easily...

Candice saw the signal from Ash after the two, from her view, had a moment to chat which caused her to grin.

"Then let the task, begin!" Candice said over the mic before she would begin her time, one Ash and Kendra could not see so that they would have to rely on mental clocks to keep track of time or focus on defeating the villain rather than worrying about that. Once Candice had began, the Adaptdroid would begin a simple walk down the main street of the virtual reality city; it seemed the Adaptdroid simply aimed for a direct approach and made no actions to attack Kendra or Ash as it would advance, it's focus clear on the bomb defuser.

Now then, what will your first move be?

Rebecca watched the fight, one student who seemed to have some sort of unique bite attack, perhaps poison or some other toxin, and the other with wings vanished into thin air which caused the other student to slam into the wall.

Does she have shrink powers? Maybe she is a shape shifter or something.

 

[Ariados twice]

Kendra flew into the Adaptdroid's path, sword in hand. She used her magic to create walls to block the areas to her left and right. She hovered above the ground, waiting to see what Ash and the Adaptdroid would do. Clay, Tia, and Ryka observed with the other students. All of them wondered what Kendra was planning, as well as how Ash and the Adaptdroid would react.

Ash was amazed at the display from Kendra before she re-focused on the Adaptdroid, who had been walking forward and had advanced under a street light that was within Kendra's walls.

Wouldn't it be a stroke of bad luck if that light was not secure right as this bot walked under it...

Ash aimed her hand at the street light, using bits of her bad luck manipulation which caused the light to topple over right while the Adaptdroid would be under it.

 

[Godjacob]

The Adaptdroid had taken a moment to glance at the walls Kendra had generated before it would feel the impact of the street light which hit it right on the head. This blow stunned the Adaptdroid, as a momentary spark indicated, before the Adaptdroid would respond.

"Processing...student capabilities....processing....counter measures..." The Adaptdroid said, speaking with a lifeless voice which fit the artificial being (Though Candice's A.I., Oliver, had more life in its speech by comparison) before it began to shift its hands into a pair of cannons. The Adaptdroid took aim and would fire a pair of shots at the wall with the clear intent to destroy the walls. The Adaptdroid then shifted its hands back to normal ones as it used jets to launch itself forward at high speeds with the intent to try and close the distance on Ash. The Adaptdroid had deduced Ash either used some telekinetic ability so firing a projectile weapon could backfire. As such, once it had removed the walls Kendra created its aim was to make it a close range battle which it processed would give it higher chances of quickly defeating the student to get closer to its goal. It also figured Kendra would be too busy either trying to stop its shots against the wall or just too slow to aid Ash.

How this played out in practice, rather than just its calculations, was another matter...

Ash's eyes widened when the android charged at her with a head of steam. Thinking quickly Ash had ducked and rolled to the side in an effort to avoid the delivering a blow to her.

Bad luck isn't gonna stop that thing from decking me if it gets too close...

 

[SS-I Never]

Suzy studied each students ability on the first turn, and that was all that Suzy needed to gather up enough information about each student's abilities.

From what she had seen, it appeared that Lucas could excrete a type of venom out of his mouth. And just like how venomous creatures work, he would need to need to come in physical contact in order for it to work. This reminded Suzy of snakes, so she decided to give Lucas' power the code name "Black Mamba".

Suzy could also figure out a bit about Ella's powers. She seemed to have the ability to transform herself into a butterfly. But it wasn't just limited to the animals entire form, but other features as well, like how she was able to produce wings and a proboscis. That was all the information Suzy could gather about Ella, and code-named her ability "Monarch".

Suzy was thinking that Ella would win this fight. With Ella staying in her small size, she could easily avoid Lucas' biting attack, unless Lucas wanted to eat Ella that is. Her ability was a great counter for Lucas', but Suzy decided to keep watching and to see what will happen next.

 

[Godjacob]

The Adaptdroid missed the blow as Ash had moved out of the way, but this did not seem to discourage the android. In fact, the android disregarded Ash entirely as it focused on a forward advance as it would aim to get to the virtual bomb defuser and eliminate him.

Aura, who had listened to what the teacher said, decided to practice her powers for a bit as she figured this would be a good chance to work on some control. Aura backed a bit from the group and began to generate some icicles around herself in some control exercise.

You're in control...your're in control...

Kevin had taken note of what Aura was doing and walked over to his friend to observe. Kevin naturally remained in his normal form as the cold generated by Aura's ice did not mesh well to say the least.

"T-that's pretty cool...I-I guess pun intended." Kevin said with a chuckle which Aura returned in kind.

"Thanks, though this isn't anything to write home about." Aura replied as she continued her control exercise while Kevin continued to watch.

"Hehehehehe...it tickles...."

Emily's efforts finally seemed to bare fruit as Sammy had woken up from her little nap, but continued to giggle as Emily was enjoying tickling the girl. However, this came to a halt when the teacher walked up to them as Emily stopped tickling and both girls gave sheepish grins to the teacher.

"Are you quite finished?" The teacher asked as both girls gave nods and resumed focus before the teacher went back to her lecture.

 

[Ombree]

Sammy looked over at Emily and gave a toothy grin and blushed, "I'll get you back later!" She whispered over to her. She looked over at the teacher who, unfortunatley, was looking directly back at her. "Samantha... Thank god Emily found your weakness otherwise I wouldn't know what to do with you!" She chuckled, Sammy looked over at Emily and grinned.

 

[Ariados twice]

Kendra threw her sword in the direction of the Adaptdroid. She spotted Ash, then sighed in relief. Ash was okay. But the Adaptdroid most likely wouldn't be.

 

[Godjacob]

The Adaptdroid saw the incoming blade and manage to dodge the brunt of it though it did slice through a portion of the armor coating on its left arm. Another spark from this indicated it had been damaged at it glanced at Kendra.

"Processing...student interference....processing....counter measures..." The Adaptdroid stated before it revealed a pair of wrist guns and aimed them at Kendra before it began to fire dozens of bullets per second. Candice, for the sake of student safety, had loaded the Adaptdroid with rubber bullets so they would not kill the students should they have made contact but they were not gonna tickle either.

Emily returned with a cheeky grin of her own. "Maybe, but I'm not gonna make it easy!" Emily said with some excitement. Emily knew little of the girl, other than she was the sister of a friend of Kevin's as well as her powers from the demonstration, but she seemed really nice and really fun.

 

[Ry_Burst]

Ryker watched with a faint smile as Aura began to practice her powers. His arms were crossed and he had a feeling of joy. If she was going to get stronger, then so would he.

He spaced himself a bit from the others, and pressed his palms together. His eyes were squeezed shut, and he began to concentrate. After a few seconds, he was surrounded in a pale white aura. However this wasn’t enough. He had to go further. He kept up his position with the aura around him keeping it’s steady size. But Ryker knew that it was only being emitted from his body and nothing more. He wasnted it to surround him, but he was having no luck. So he kept on focusing, with his eyes shut and his palms pressed together. It was kinda like his own meditation.

Aura summoned her sword and sighed, she knew she could do that but she didn't really know how. Suddenly an idea popped into her head, she pulled her camera out of her bag and set it up on a chair. Then she held her arms out and summoned her shield. She grabbed the camera and watched through the footage, the shield appeared so quickly Aurora couldn't see anything happen, but an editing software could change that, she'd put the video in slow motion later.

She sat down to think, what was she not good at. Her attack was fine, she always came up with random ideas to attack. But her defense and her control, her defence was never great and she almost always got hit by attacks at her, her control wasn't the greatest and she was always really exhausted after fighting. Those were things she could only really work on in battle, it depended on the opponent and the circumstances. But there was one other power she had, astral projection. Especially in dreams, she could talk to people and conjure up things she'd never even seen. Aura walked over to a silent area of the room, sat down and closed her eyes. This was not working, too much light came through her eyelids and too much noise. She needed a blindfold and some earplugs, but where the hell was she meant to get them before class ended.
"You know what? Screw it" She muttered to herself, as she tore a piece of fabric from her dress. "I needed a clothing upgrade anyway."
She covered her eyes and rolled a little balls of fabric and stuck them in her ears. Peace and quiet, silence actually. After a few moments, she found herself standing in a black empty space, she looked around. "Hello!" She yelled, "Is anybody here!?"

Silence.
Oh yeah, this was in her head, she hadn't been randomly teleported somewhere. Thank god for that. She walked around and had a sudden idea, what if she were to talk to the girl. The one she had injured in her kindergarten class. "Brianna?" She called softly, "Brianna?"
She kept walking and she found nothing but darkness, but something was in the distance. A girl with a long ginger braid running down her back, freckles all over her face, emerald green eyes. She stood there, silently. Aurora ran towards her but she only seemed to get further and further away. "HELLO?" Aura yelled, "ANYONE?!"

Snap
Darkness.
She pulled off her blindfold, panting, that was a lot to take in.

Lucas began to shoot small, spherical balls of acid at Ella who was as small as a butterfly. Ella Flew away to dodge. Ella then had an idea; She thought she might be able to get in close and use her own poison to hit Lucas. Unfortunately for her, Lucas was prepared. He waited for Ella to fly in close and then he breathed in deeply. Ella had no clue what he was doing at the time but once she realised, it was too late. Lucas exhaled poison in the form of gas (The Poison wasn't that deadly). Ella began to cough and she was going to die to lack of oxygen if she stayed in the middle of the gas so she grew to her normal size and began to fly away but Lucas planned this. He then directly fired a Poison sphere at Ella. Ella lost conscience and fell to the ground right next to Lucas.
Lucas walked behind her, getting ready to help her up.
"I used a poison that temporarily stops your nervous system. she'll be fine, I didn't hurt her," Lucas explained to the teacher before he reacted badly. He liked to study the poisons he used and what he could do with them. He was quite proud with the knowledge he knew. It was quite easy to generate poisons provided he had made contact with them. This poison was one of the first poisons he got into contact with. Unfortunately, he didn't realise he was generating a more lethal and poison in his mouth. This acid was quite lethal and very corrosive. What Lucas didn't realise was that when he was talking,
A drop of acid fell from his mouth,
And landed right on top of her, in between her wings.
If she wasn't treated immediately, the poison would threaten her ability to fly or even move on her own because the poison was heading straight for the spinal chord.

Ella screamed in pain.

 

[SS-I Never]

Mr. Kinito noticed the acid fall between Ella's wings, and used his telekinesis to quickly move Lucas away before he did anything else to Ella. "Lucas is the winner," Mr. Kinito said, "But I will like to see you after class, Mr. Lucas."

Suzy was so worried for the girl as soon as she screamed in pain, and quickly jumped into the arena to help her. "I will take her to the nurse's office, sir," Suzy said as she began to pick up the butterfly girl. It looked like Suzy guessed the winner wrong, but that didn't matter now as she had to help the girl.

Mr. Kinito nodded, and said, "That would be greatly appreciated." Mr. Kinito then pulled out two other names, "The next fight will be between Serenity and Laila! When both students are ready, let them go into the stage and commence battle as soon as I ring the bell!"

Ash saw that the Adatpdroid was firing rounds at Kendra and knew she had to act quickly. Ash saw a nearby manhole cover that seemed loose and popped it up. Ash then tossed it at the Adaptdroid much like a Frisbee aimed right for its head.

Serenity heard her name called next as she stood up and made her way to the arena. Diego had even greater interest in this battle then the ones before it.

"Hey Serenity, no pressure but I should remind you I won my spar. So you better do the same! If you want to still want me to consider you a rival." Diego said with a smirk, somehow both teasing her and offering his own form of encouragement all at once. Serenity rolled her eyes at this before she would focus on the upcoming battle.

If I lose Diego will never let me hear the end of it. And I will disappoint myself. I must show everyone what I can do!

 

[Ariados twice]

Laila stood up and made her way to the arena. She glanced at the girl that had also stood up and made her way to the arena. 'That must be Serenity.' Laila thought. 'I wonder what her powers are. And what she's capable of.'

Lucas felt really guilty that Ella got hurt even though he didn't mean to do it. He was really disappointed in himself as Mr Kinito used telekineses to move him away from her. He wanted to help her but he wasn't sure if they wanted her help. Lucas nodded to Mr Kinito in response to what he said and sat at the back of the room, away from everyone. He thought it would be impossible to talk to someone without it being awkward. He just sat there with his hands over his eyes and his face was down. This all reminded him of what happened years before...

Ella tried not to cry or scream but she was so afraid and felt betrayed. She tried to go to sleep but she was in too much pain. She was laying on her stomach, her head to the side since the acid hit her back and not on her stomach. She cried in pain once more.
"Th-thank... Y-you...," She told Suzy weakly since she was carrying her. Ella had 3 things going in her mind at that time:

1. "This really really hurts..."

2. "This Girl is quite nice, I wonder if I could talk to her later..."

3. "That Boy, Lucas destroyed my trust in him. I want Revenge,"

 

[Godjacob]

"A-are you okay?"

Kevin was in the middle of doing his own exercise, trying to stick to the ceiling with just his feet and no assistance from his hands when his eyes had looked over to Aura. For the most part, just seemed like she was doing some kinda meditation but then he saw her remove her makeshift blindfold and begin to pant. On instinct Kevin had jumped down in front of Aura and asked if she was okay, a look of concern as her remained in her partial form.

The Adaptdroid's aim was thrown off when the manhole cover slammed into the side of its head. The Adaptdroid would glance at Ash who made the attack.

"Processing....student interference....processing....counter measures..." The Adaptdroid stated as switched its attack and began to fire the rubber bullets in the direction of Ash.

Ash quickly ducked behind one of the cars there also come with the virtual reality environment as the rubber bullet blasted into it. Ash was thankful she had been able to use her bad luck to cause the Adaptdroid to have "bad luck" with aim but she would not be able to keep that up forever. Now she was stuck behind the car and she doubted her defensive "fort" would last.

This is bad, come on Ash think! You can find a way out of this, oh where is Kendra when you need her!?

Serenity glanced at what she presumed was her opponent, an eyebrow raised as she seemed to try and study her appearance for analysis before she took a deep breath. She then assumed her own battle stance, but did nothing more. Seemed she was content with allowing Laila the first move.

Rushing in blindly would be a stupid decision for an opponent I know nothing about. Just gotta wait and see what she has in store and respond accordingly.

 

[Ariados twice]

Kendra returned her attention to the Adaptdroid. Her sword returned to her hand. She used her magic to pick up the manhole cover that Ash had thrown and slammed it down on the Adaptdroid's head. She smiled.

Laila nodded to Serenity. Cat claws popped out of her fingers. She was ready. She was also interested in this girl's capabilities.

 

[SS-I Never]

Suzy quickly began running towards the nurse's office. "Ms. Reeds!" Suzy exclaimed to the nurse, "We need your help!" Suzy tried to show the nurse the damaged Ella. Suzy also noticed Lily, and waved at her.

The nurse noticed Ella's state, and exclaimed, "WHAT!?" It was a bit over-reactive, but Ms. Reeds was getting tired. Why the heck is Ram letting his students go at it like this!? Ms. Reeds sighed, and then said, "Please lay her in that bed, and I'll get to her as soon as possible." Ms. Reeds quickly got out of her desk, and laid her hands on Lily and Ella, which should heal them. "There," Ms. Reeds said, "That should be enough." She then got back to her computer.

Mr. Kinito rung the bell, initiating the battle between Laila and Serenity.

Laila charged at Serenity. Then she did something surprising. Moments before they could collide, Laila jumped over Serenity. She aimed her claws at Serenity's clothing, not intending to hurt Serenity unless she had to.

The Adatdroid was once more nailed with the manhole cover as it glanced at Kendra, a spark which indicated damage from both blows as it processed counter measures once more.

This time it ceased fire and shot a series of what appeared to be cables; those from one hand aimed at Kendra in the air and others from its other hand aimed at Ash who was hiding behind the car. Seemed the android was now trying to ensnare the two in an effort to halt their attacks.

Ash's eyes widened as suddenly cables came for her, much as they did for Kendra as she jumped back and ran to get some distance. Thankfully, she was able to use her bad luck to cause the android's cables to just miss wrapping her up at every turn as she tried to think of a solution. She saw what appeared to be some discarded crowbar on the ground.

Weapons? Could the teacher have added them to give students with non-combat powers something to fight with? Oh who cares I need it!

Ash grabbed the crowbar as she would try to smack each and every cable away from her while she tried to think of a way to regain the offensive; hoping Kendra could hold out as well or come up with an idea of her own.

Serenity ducked and rolled out of the way, though Laila's attack did tear the fabric of her shirt above her shoulder which caused her to frown.

Sharp claws...ruined outfit...lovely. Just lovely. Well, better try and keep my distance.

Serenity would extend an open palm as a series of sharp, but not too sharp crystals began to fire in the direction of Laila. Since it was a spar, they would not cause too much damage but it would do something as she tried to nail Laila from a distance.

"Thank you." Lily said to the nurse as she felt herself heal before she took note of Suzy as well as the person she brought in, who looked to be in worse shape than her.

"Man, what did I miss?" Lily asked Suzy, clearly curious as to what happened in the last fight.

Kendra flew higher, then did several loops in the air. She noticed that Ash had grabbed a crowbar and was fending off the arm aimed for her. She tightened her grip on her sword. She needed to be ready in case the arm pursued her further.
