Kai followed Mint out the door, though still giving the smaller Pokemon a concerned look. Sure, the two hadn't had the most traditional start, but he found himself... caring for these other runways. That thought startled him for a moment, so much so that he almost missed Luna's suggestions. "I don't know which would call more attention to ourselves," he murmured thoughtfully.

A reminder: If you want to ask an RP thread creator if you can join their RP, do so in private - via conversation or profile messages - or via the thread's discussion thread, if one exists. Luna looked at Kai then at Mint. "Mint, what do you think we should do?" She asked him. "I trust that you will make the right decision," she added with a smile.
"O-of course. I know this stuff well!" The grass type exclaimed, his joyful tone slipping for a moment. "Let's just say I've been trained for this sort of thing...you two steal and I'll distract." Mint wasted no more time and promptly strutted towards the nearest stand, smiling at everyone who bothered noticing him.
Luna looked at Mint with surprise then she chuckled and walked over to a stand. She grabbed the nearest fruit then grabbed some more but when the person the owned the stand looked at her, she hid the fruit in her neck fur. 'I'm so glad for my neck fur,' she thought with a sigh of relief. She grabbed some more fruit from the next stand and hid it in her fur again. She saw some meat and her mouth watered as she walked over to the stand with the meat. The person was distracted so she grabbed one giant piece of cooked meat then put it in her neck fur. She walked back over to the abandoned house and sighed. "I'm done, I got some fruit and meat," she whispered to no one in particular then went in the house and put the food down. "I'll just wash these," she said and put some fruit in the sink, turned on the water, and started washing the fruit.
Kai snatched a string of sausages from one of the distracted vendors selling them and hung them around his neck, before grabbing some kind of sweet tart from the cart next to it in his mouth. He grinned around the pastry before looking at Mint and nodding. He initially ducked behind a trashcan to make sure that the Pansage could leave without issue, but realized that the humans would probably be watching him as he left. Seeing Mint leave with a Luxio decorated with food would definitely draw attention, so with one look back, he followed Luna down the city street where they'd come from, making a compromise with himself to come back and check if it took too long.
The grass type had attracted some children's attention, but was discreetly glancing back every few seconds to see how things were going. Once he saw that Kai and Luna had retrieved a plentiful amount of food, he waved goodbye to the children and scampered behind a nearby house to cover his tracks back to the abandoned house. Mint paused once there, realizing only now he had seen a pair of Houndour lurking further down the street. He made his way back to shelter as swiftly as his legs would carry him, finally bursting inside and waking Fury, who almost yelped in surprise.
Luna looked at Mint with surprise after she finished washing the food. "Mint, what's wrong?" She asked him with concern as she made her way over to Mint and Fury.
"No, no, nothing's wrong. Don't worry about it!" He responded in as carefree a tone he could manage, not wishing to burden his friends. "Nice to see you're up, Fury. How was it while babysitting, Rage? But wait-where's Kai?" Mint chattered in aim to distract attention from himself, growing worried when he saw the Luxio wasn't inside with everyone else. The Arcanine wasn't paying the best attention at this time evidenced by his yawn and restless pacing.
Kai was standing attention outside the entrance of the house, yellow eyes scanning the horizon. He spotted Mint enter and almost sigh with relief, though the Pansage looked quite disconcerted. Kai narrowed his eyes in suspicion and followed in behind, hearing only the tail end of the conversation. "I'm here," he said, coming up to stand beside Mint. "Everything okay? You looked worried."
Luna looked at Mint suspiciously but then smiled. "Everything's fine, who's hungry?" She asked with a smile and grabbed the food out of the sink. "Who likes meat?" She asked as she set the meat on a plate she found earlier. "And who likes fruit?" She asked as she set the fruit in a bowl she also found earlier. 'Mint isn't telling us something, did he find more of the dogs, more humans that were mysterious, it has to be something bad enough to not say anything to us,' she thought but it never showed on her face.
Kai shrugged before replying, "starving." He headed over to the plate with the meat, dropping his string of sausages into it. He'd already eaten the sweet pastry himself while waiting, so his hunger was a little sated. Though, who could argue with fresh food? He tore three links out of the sausage and bit into them, closing his eyes; they were still warm.
Luna headed over to the plate with the meat on it also and tore some meat out of the cooked steak. It was still warm and tasted delicious, at least in her opinion. "I'm so glad I waited for you guys instead of leaving on my own," she said with a smile on her face, after she finished eating the piece of the meat she tore off. She then made her way over to the fruit bowl and got a pecha berry and started to eat it. "That was delicious," she said with a smile then sat down on the foor.
