Quilla
Quilla retrieved her arm from Kaleb's handshake then turned towards Jason, nodding slightly in acknowledgment.
"So, what happened so far? Spade told me about the psychos you all encountered but could I get a more detailed story?"
If she was gonna be on an island with supervillains looming overhead she might as well start learning as much as she could about them, and a good start on that was to hear about the battle with Darla.

Qin
Qin was feeling quite satisfied with tonight's training session considering Rose was able to evolve during her battle with Breloom. He had briefly considered catching the grass-fighting type but ultimately decided that the duo of Cottonee and Petilil were already one too many grass types.
He figured his next few Pokemon would be a Water-type, Fire-Type and a Dragon-Type, but as for which exact Pokemon? He hadn't quite decided yet. Sighing to himself he engage in monologue,
"maybe some mid-night training will help me see the flaws in my team and finalize my final 3 Pokemon."
Rose had already done her share of battle, so this rotation belonged to Ruanshui. The first unlucky victims to be caught in Qin's sighter were a pair of Clauncher. Flicking the Pokeball at his waist Qin smirked,
"This shouldn't take long, Rua, Force Palm!"

Claire
Although she had decided to follow the trainees as they headed out, Claire wasn't exactly sure 'when' they would actually head out, so she could do naught but linger around and wait. At this time of day, a lot of Pokemon had retreated to the comfort of their own dens and the few Pokemon that were still prowling the night were usually nocturnal. None of this really mattered to Shan Lei and by extent Claire who was riding him. Luxrays could see perfectly fine either day or night so the duo traversed the forest without difficulty. They stumbled upon and defeated, the likes of Noctowl's, Venomoth's, and Ariados' while remaining, for the most part, unruffled. They were easy opponents for Shan Lei, and Claire didn't even have to get off his back, she just needed to hold on tightly.... very tightly, but it was a thrilling experience in its own right.
After they had defeated a Noctowl, and Shan still had arcs of electricity jumping across its fur from using Spark, they encountered the 50th Nocturnal avian that night, a Murkrow.
For the first time since leaving the base, Claire looked genuinely interested. She decided right there and then that she'd catch it. How hard could it be?
A few minutes later Claire stomped out of the forest and spat a black feather from her mouth, resentfully glaring at the Pokeball in her hand. She looked completely disheveled, with the finishing touches being her torn clothes, disarrayed hair, scratch marks littering her body, and a face full of dirt. The battle had initially gone well until the Murkrow decided to call upon its comrades.
Claire could only stare in shock as an innumerable quantity of eyes snapped opened around her, all training their gaze on herself. Chills ran down her spine and her immediate decision was to high-tail it outta there. She fled the entire way at top speed, and the Murkrow mobbed mercilessly, more than a few were struck down my Shan Lei, though it barely put a dent in their numbers. In the confusion, she managed to snag herself a Murkrow, but the act only seemed to infuriate her pursuers, who were now hell-bent on pecking her to death.
"Thank Arceus I had taught Shan charge beam when it was still a Luxio, otherwise we might not have made it out of there alive..."
The single ranged move she had onhand ended up her saving grace, and while thinking back to the situation she felt shivers of fear and... excitement.
"Risking your life to catch Pokemon really is the only way to get your blood pumping~"
She muttered to herself, lost in bliss until she eventually made her way back to the Auralian order. Navigating her way through the halls and passageways she made it to her room, though she garnered more than a few odd stares, as she still had feathers stuck to her hair and face.
One life-threatening capture was already enough excitement for the day, especially considering how late it was. Thus, she decided to retire to the safety of her bed-sheets, leaving an order for Shan Lei to wake her if the trainees took any movements. She quickly nodded off to sleep, meanwhile Shan Lei the Luxray cast its gaze towards the trio of trainees, its vision piercing through all obstructions to land squarely on their heads.
