Spade sighed "No, not cannibals.. and evil pokémon organization like team rocket" her head looked up as she yawned "You know, Qin maybe at camp, I could bring you if you'd like...". A white light formed next to Spade as Tailgate yawned slightly "Sneeea" Spade looked down as she watched her friend escape from her pokéball "Hey Tailgate".

"I'm Kaleb, and this is Jason," he said. Lairon's Ball shook for a second, and Lairon jumped out.

"That's my Lairon. He does that sometimes. I also have a Pancham, Charmeleon, Pikachu, Ninjask, Turtwig, Skorupi, Poliwhirl, Shelgon, Scyther, Pidgeotto, and a shiny Boldore, along with this egg I found. Jason owns a Magnemite and a Zubat, and a Skull fossil."

"Oh yeah, and I also caught a Phanpy a minute ago," Jason added, since Kaleb didn't notice his new Phanpy.

Extraordinarily relieved there weren't any man-eating cannibals on the island Quilla agreed to Spade's suggestion with gusto. She fetched her Pokeball from her waist and recalled Ausytra, who mewled in displeasure as she returned to her Pokeball. With that out the way, Quilla turned to Spade once more before replying,

"That'd be splendid, the name's Quilla, I don't think I mentioned it earlier. That's a cute Sneasel you've got... Tailgate was it? May I pet her?"

Spade looked at Tailgate before nodding "Go for it" she said "So Quilla, how'd you get here".

Ace looked at the lairon before grabbing both of her pokémon, tossing the pokéballs in the air releasing a Vulpix and a Vaporeon "These are my partners, Nuria the Vulpix and Delta the Vaporeon".

"Wow, nice Pokémon," Kaleb said. His egg, which was in his bag, started to shake a little.

"The egg is gonna hatch soon, I think," Jason said.

"Yeah, I wonder what will hatch from it," Kaleb said. "Hope it's something good."

While gently sweeping her fingers through Tailgate's fur and stroking her feathers, she raised her hand shook Ausytra's Pokeball in response to Spade's query.

"I think I fell off the boat at some point, and Ausy here managed to drag me to shore. I was unconscious until this morning, when Ignyx, my Pontya woke me up. Then we sailed upstream along one of the lake's tributary rivers and Poof, here we are."

Qin cocked an eyebrow as Ace sent out Vulpix and Vaporeon,

"That's quite the synergy you've got going. Water-Fire combinations aren't very frequent with trainers."

Prompted by Ace's release of her Pokemon Qin figured his own trio would be delighted to 'stretch their legs' a bit. Tapping the Pokeballs at his waist he sent out Rose, Twilla, and Rua in succession.

"Then, meet Rosephase the Gligar, Twilight the Cottonee, and Raunshui the Mienfoo. They're nicknames are Rose, Twilla, and Rua respectively. If I remember correctly your sister has a Sneasel, Staravia, Popplio, and Litwick."

Kaleb released Pancham, Shelgon, Charmeleon, Turtwig, and Skorupi. "These are the Pokémon I have on hand at the moment." Jason released Zubat, Phanpy, and Magnemite.

"This is my egg," Kaleb said as he took the blue and orange egg out of his bag.

Nuria tilted her head before walking up the the egg, she circled it for a minuet before laying down next to the egg keeping it warm from the cold winds "Vul.. Vulpix" she yawned. Ace just chuckled before looking up at Qin "I guess it is a little strange, but Nuria and Delta just kinda clicked when I found delta, and he choose to become a Vaporeon". She then watched as Qin let out his pokémon, she smiled at them "You guys have some very nice pokémon!"

Tailgate purred as Quilla pet her, her ear fell back pinning itself as she purred once more. Spade laughed as she looked at her partner "Never seen her do that before, looks like she likes you" in response she got a "Sneaaa" from Tailgate confirming what she said. Spade then looked back at Quilla before speaking "Well lets get going, I'm sure Qin will be happy to see you".

Quilla's chiming voice echoed through the forest as she laughed, smiling fondly at Tailgate

"She does seem to be enjoying herself quite a bit, and I myself do enjoy petting Pokemon, my technique is even better than my brother's!"

Quilla puffed out her chest with pride, she did indeed enjoy petting Pokemon as much as she'd said. Back in Sinnoh, she'd frequently petted Rose, Qin's Gligar. Her own Pokemon enjoyed her caresses on an almost daily basis. Lifting Tailgate from the ground, she nestled the chilled Pokemon in her arms, enjoying the cool winds that wafted off her body.

"Lead the way Spade, and he'd better be happy to see me!"

With a rather unintimidating hmpf Quilla lined herself up behind Spade, waiting for the younger lady to lead the way.

Qin sneezed and wrinkled his nose in irritation. It felt like someone was maligning him behind his back, but the only person who'd possibly do that was his little sister QiQi. Thinking up to that point Qin recalled that she'd also taken a job from the professors, but he didn't quite know which job it was, or even where it was as he'd left far earlier than she had. He wasn't even familiar with the other professor's assistants because he'd holed himself up in his cabin for almost their entire journey.

With a quick glance up at the darkening sky, Qin realized night would soon be upon them, given a couple hours at most. He pondered staying with the group, but ultimately rejected the idea in favor of spending the night catching more Pokemon. Kaleb's display of having maybe one too many Pokemon had giving Qin the impression that he was falling behind. However, it was nothing a little hard work couldn't fix.

Spade nodded as she began to walk back to camp. As they walked Tailgate kept purring as she was carried by Quilla's arms, her hand-like claws started to mess with the air between them. The female huffed as they got closer to the camp "We are almost there".

Ace watched as Qin left, her blue eyes followed him as he left before turning to Kaleb "So... uhm whats the island like" she questioned

"There's a huge forest surrounding most of the area, there's a lake somewhere, there are mountains, and in the middle of the island an evil organization called the Auralians have set up and HQ," Kaleb told Ace. "I think Spade is at the lake right now."

Jason shrugged and started following Qin, as he also needed more Pokémon.

Asriel chuckled and released his own pokemon. "Ace, Jason, meet Sleipnir, Jitter, Penny, and Cutie Pie," Asriel introduced, pointing to each of the pokemon in turn. He saw Finna hanging behind Asher, seemingly put off by the much larger crowd.

"Finna says she was a prisoner to the Auralians. She's admitted she has no way to prove as much but she has told us a fair amount about them," Asriel told them. Finna kept her icy gaze on Asriel; it was enough that she didn't have the trust of the whole group; did he have to ruin her name to these new people before she even spoke?

She caught sight of Storm's attempt at drawing and turned her cold gaze on the Zebstrika. Storm's broken horn sparked wo th electricity; she wasn't used to being in between so many people. Finna weaved her way to her stead, being sure to get rid of the dirt scratches along the way.

"Thank you for the introduction, Asriel," she said dryly as she ran her hand through Storm's mane.

Darla was rushing through the palace, Gardevoir at her side; where was her trainee?! "Sadie?!" She yelled as she prowler through the halls. She had lost her Galvantula and had to use a new pokeball on her Noivern. Those brats... she knew she was partly to blame but neither pokemon would have been in as rough shape of a cave hadn't collapsed thanks to a certain white haired boy! It was her rage at him that kept her from falling victim to her mourning for her dear Charlotte the Galvantula.

As she passed by one of the many windows, she saw her trainee outside. Snapping her fingers, her trusted Gardevoir teleported them outside to stand right in front of Sadie. "Pull yourself together," Darla snarled at her.

Ace nodded "Nice to meet you Finna!", the female watched as Delta walked over to Finna, the Vaporeon sniffed at the female before laying down at her feet.

Kaleb returned his Pokémon, except Pancham and Lairon, because Pancham was his starter and he knew Lairon would just pop back out anyways. He decided he stay with Asriel and Ace and wait to see if Spade would show up. But, since he had time, he may as well train his Pokémon.

"Lairon, Turtwig, time to train again!" he said as he let his Turtwig back out again, and within seconds, the two Pokémon started to train.

Meanwhile, Jason was out catching Pokémon, with Qin nearby. Jason managed to find a Slowpoke and defeat it with his Magnemite, and he caught it with ease.

Ace watched as Kaleb's pokémon trained, her hands tapping at her side before she spoke "Hey, um Kaleb, how about we train together, like a battle?". Nuria and Delta looked at their trainer before turning to Kaleb.

 

[StormingCobra]

"A battle?" he asked. "That seems like a good idea. Lairon, Turtwig, return!" he said as he recalled the two and put them in the PPH before turning to Ace. He was deciding on what Pokémon to use first, as Turtwig could defeat Vaporeon, but not Vulpix, while Lairon would lose to both, Skorupi would lose to Vulpix, Charmeleon would lose to Vaporeon, Pancham could take on both, and Shelgon could, too, but Shelgon could also resist most of their hits.

"Alright, Shelgon, time for battle!" he said as the Dragon type sprang into action.

Ace giggled before looking at Delta "Your up my friend!" she said. The Vaporeon nodded before leaping out infront of the Shelgon "Vapor, Vaporeon" he called. The trainer looked at Kaleb before she placed a hand on her hip "Your turn first!" she winked.

"Shelgon, Zen Headbutt!" he called out as Shelgon ran towards Delta, hitting her with Zen Headbutt.

"Your move," he said to Ace, and, noticing the wink before, smiled and winked back.

Jason had been searching for a while, and had caught only the Slowpoke from earlier. He decided to take a break. He went back to where Kaleb, Ace, and Asriel had been, and saw that Kaleb and Ace were battling.

Delta skidded across the ground before huffing "Vapor..", Ace looked at her partner before speaking "Acid armor!" she called. The pokémon took a stance before his body was glowing purple, after it faded he barked "Vaporeon!". Ace smiled, she giggled before she spoke "Aurora Beam!". Delta nodded before opening his mouth, shooting out the beam of colored lights.

Shelgon was sent flying, but although shook from the Aurora Beam, landed back on his feet.

"Dragon Breath!" Kaleb called out. Shelgon charged it up, and unleashed Dragon Breath right in front of Delta, hitting her in the side. Shelgon then began to use Protect in case of another move.

Delta growled as the dragon breath hit him, but soon he shook it off "Va..Vapor!" he barked.

Ace pondered for a moment before she smirked "Delta, Yawn!", the water type looked back at his trainer before turning back to the Shelgon before he yawned, a few Z's circled around the Shelgon before flying into the dragon type.

"There you are," Finna told Jason as he returned. She had been watching the battle silently, taking in all that she could. "They're training. Perhaps we should do the same?" she proposed.

"Finna, Storm is still resting up from the battle royal and your only other pokemon is your Stufful. Maybe catch something else first?" Asriel hesitantly offered.

 

[StormingCobra]

"Shelgon, return!" Kaleb said as he returned Shelgon. It was a good call. "Skorupi, get in there!"

Skorupi was released from his pokeball. "Pin Missile!" Skorupi shot the razor-sharp pins straight at Delta, hitting him multiple times.

Vaporeon cried out as he was hit making Ace frown "Delta, come on out, Nuria your turn" she said as the two pokémon switched "Now Nuria Fire spin!". The fox pokémon barked before sending the attack at the Skorupi.

 

[StormingCobra]

Skorupi was trapped in the flames, making him unable to be recalled.

"Cross Poison!" Kaleb called out. Skorupi shot the attack straight at Nuria, hitting her right in the side. But then, a white glow came from inside the flames, and a few seconds later, a Drapion jumped out!

"Skorupi evolved?" Kaleb said. "Alright, Toxic Spikes!" Drapion launched the Toxic Spikes onto the battlefield.

Nuria hopped back, grunting from being hit with cross poison, Ace's eyes trained on the environment around them before looking back at Nuria "Nuria, Up into the trees!". Nuria looked back at Ace before leaping into the air and grabbing a hold on the branch that was above her, she looked down as she got a clear view of the Drapion "Will-O-Wisp!" Ace called, a shot of a blue ember came from the trees above hitting the Drapion.

Drapion was hit by Will-O-Wisp, and he was burned, but he fought back with Poison Fang, knocking over the tree that Nuria was in.

"Cross Poison, and follow up with Poison Fang!" Drapion launched Cross Poison, and soon after grabbed Nuria in his claws and bit down with Poison Fang.

Nuria cried out, Ace growled slightly "Heatwave!". Nuria used heatwave as she wiggled out of the drapions grasp, she panted as she landed on the ground "Confuse Ray!" Ace called, but only to find that Nuria used Hex "You learned a new move? So cool, and with hex the attack doubles to an attack power of 130 because your drapion is burned!" she giggled.

"Drapion, return!" Kaleb called out. He put Drapion in the PPH. "Pancham, you're up!" he said to Pancham, who eagerly jumped into battle.

"Circle Throw!" Pancham grabbed Nuria and tossed her in a circle, and jumped towards her and used Comet Punch, sending her plummeting to the ground.

"This is exactly what I wanted," Kaleb said. "I needed Skorupi to evolve so that Pancham could evolve, too. Pancham evolves when it reaches Level 32 and you have another Dark type in your team, and now that I have a Drapion, Pancham just needs to level up. Body Slam!"

Pancham threw his whole weight on top of Nuria, pinning her to the ground.

"Vulpix!" Nuria was now laying on the ground as Ace walked up to her "Good job, time to return" with a flash of the red light Nuria returned "Delta, its payback time, you ready?" she asked as the Vaporeon leaped infront of pancham. "Lets start out with Aqua ring!" Vaporeon summoned the ring of water around him, now every time he was attacked he would get some HP from the Aqua ring. Ace pointed at pancham before calling out "Quick Attack!", a white glow surronded Delta as he dashed and ran into the pancham.

Pancham flew back, but landed on his feet and fought back with Body Slam, pinning Delta to the ground just like he did Nuria. He then began to use Comet Punch, and hit Delta multiple times before grabbing him and tossing him with Circle Throw.

Pancham then waited for Delta's next move, ready to dodge or retaliate.

Vaporeon growled "Vapor..", Ace just sighed "Yawn again lets go!" she called, Delta yawned making three Z's circle Pancham before being absorb into its body.

 

[StormingCobra]

Pancham became a little drowsy, but was still able to land a Comet Punch before he started to fall asleep and Kaleb swapped him for Turtwig.

"Giga Drain!" Kaleb commanded, and Turtwig sapped Delta's energy, and while it was caught in Giga Drain, Turtwig used Energy Ball, a TM move Kaleb recently asked the professor for to teach Turtwig, and the attack hit Delta in the side, dealing even more damage.

Vaporeon laid on the ground as Ace returned him as well "Good battle, you have a counter for everything I had!". The trainer looked at her pokéballs before looking back at Kaleb "Well, I need to catch more pokémon..".

Kaleb returned Turtwig and thanked Ace for the compliment.

"I could help you search, if you'd like," he offered. He had caught the most Pokémon out of the entire group, he knew a lot about catching Pokémon.

Ace looked and Kaleb with a smile "Sure! I wanted to catch a (Pidove cough) flying type next". Nuria escaped from her pokéball landing on her shoulder "Vul!".

 

[StormingCobra]

"Alright, we should probably head for the woods. That's where I caught Pidgeotto," he said. He started to lead Ace to the woods.

Meanwhile, Jason examined his fossil. "So how do I restore this?" he asked Finna.

Ace was walking behind Kaleb, Nuria resting on her shoulder. "Its quite pretty out here don't yea think" she stated as Nuria nuzzled her head into Ace's neck.

"Yeah, that's what I wondered when I first got here," he said. "Up until Darla attacked us, that is." He began explaining the attack. When Spade battled her, when she got angry about Quill beating Charlotte, when they had the massive chaotic battle, when Riolu and Quill evolved, when Sleipnir caused the cave-in, when Halt caused the release of Sapphire the Noivern, and the cave-in causing the death of Charlotte the Galvantula.

"It was super crazy. That was when we first learned about the Auralian Order," he said. He kept walking, and a Pidove swooped down. "Hey, look. I guess you found your flying type," he said. "Get ready for another battle, Ace."

Ace looked at the pidove and nodded "Alright, Nuria you ready?" she asked as the fox pokémon leaped on the ground. the Pidove looked at the tilting its head "Ember!", Nuria obeyed as the fire type spit out a small fire ball as it hit the Pidove making it quake in annoyance, it attacked Nuria with air cutter which she dodged.

Ace narrowed her eyes "now confuse ray!", Nuria barked before a small orb of light absorbed into the pidove making it confused "Alright time to catch it" she mermered before tapping it with a pokéball, after hearing a click Aces eyes lit up "Wow! I caught a Pidove, thanks Kaleb, and you too Nuria!".
