you know, i know you both are harboring negative emotions towards Doomslayer, but he's not irredeemable. i mean, he showed respect for Kale. so after the fight, which Doomslayer will survive because, as Shen would put it, i have 'countermeasures' up my sleeves.
after the fight, maybe somebody he respects could actually try talking to him once this Specter plot wraps up. and no, he's not gonna be like Goblin Slayer and talk about killing stuff, replacing the word 'Goblins' with 'Demons'. i'm trying to develop Flynn as a character with personality, and if anybody actually bothered to read my past Doomslayer posts, they would see i'm building his character into why he is what he is, and what his only emotional weakness is.

Honestly, I’d be really surprised if Comic actually allowed Doomslayer to die, and I’d be pretty miffed, because the Doomslayer posts are some of the ones I look forward to most.
@Comic get some more countermeasures ready, my friend, this is war.

I've had Kale and Hiro be nothing but friendly/respectable for Doomslayer. Even after he tried to kill Hiro earlier, so it is not as if I had my characters treat him with contempt from start to finish.

Just asking them to overlook this is asking for maybe way too much.

Flynn has been killing for so long, it's second nature to him.
when he finally stopped the group upon their initial meeting, he had to find his voice because he hadn't used it in forever. he had to think about what he'd say because social interactions had become so foreign.
he likes Hiro, Chief, Elec, Cut, and the Hunter.
he has more respect for Kale because of his catholic roots that never left him, despite everything.
he's trying to latch onto her emotionally like he did with Arlene, and doesn't even realize it. that's why he's been nothing but respectful and straightforward with her in their brief interactions.

Well then it makes Specter look uncaring towards his simian citizens which he puts into such a high regard to protect. It makes him also seem like a pushover and dismantles the whole point of his motivation...you can’t expect him to just watch do you?

Anyways, to avoid this berserker fight? I suppose we just have Mr. Slayer spot Kale, and stop him before the slaughter begins. Just have it be it was a spontaneous hallucination, a spontaneous burst of rage that showed itself in an angry sight. So the writing isn't wasted. Or they were holograms. Ectera.

Or maybe they were real...And this is all fated to happen. Do as you wish.

Then let it be needless overkill. Specter has utter venom he needs to unleash. Doomslayer has acted, and every action as a reaction...this one just happens to not be favorable towards him. I mean what did he expect would happen when cameras are all over the joint and you kill specter’s civilians he swore to protect?

Eh I don't want Comic to force himself to "cheapen" a post he worked hard and put clear passion into though. That is objectively unfair to him.

Y’know, I actually have a solution to back up Kale’s arguments. You guys remember the Stardroid attack? That incident alone pushed humanity to their best, even the villains, and Cut Man’s got that recorded. As does Elec Man. If one of them can connect themselves to the screens, Kale gets ALL the validation she needs for her arguments.

Also I think having it be a simulation works best, and it’s also totally something Specter would do. Hesitantly in terms of the gruesome monkey slaughter, but still something he’d do.
