Welcome back to Pokécharms! We've recently launched a new site and upgraded forums, so there may be a few teething issues as everything settles in. Please see our Relaunch FAQs for more information.
alright, so i guess we all agree on
'Convergence'
but the subtitle is not yet decided.
maybe we just leave it at that? 'Convergence'?
then Bog could rename this thread to 'Convergence: Discussion' and the rp thread to 'Convergence' so we can actually differentiate between the two, lol.
alright, so, VS wiki doesn't understand how weight works, apparently.
i had to redo the entire strength section with REAL math, so now it's cool.
and honestly, VS wiki seriously toned some stuff down, compared to what it actually is.
anyway, i added a bunch.
Speed has been separated into three categories.
Category 1 is Physical speed. The kind of distance one could run and/or fly at the absolute max.
Category 2 is Combat speed. How fast one is in a hand-to-hand fight, if they can engage in this.
Category 3 is Reaction speed. How quickly one can take and process information to successfully react to it.
i'll be using Sans as my guinea pig for this, so i'll show him;
Sans | Bad Time
Physical Speed: Below Average & Teleportation | Subsonic & Teleportation
Combat Speed: Athletic Human | Supersonic
Reaction Speed: Subsonic | Supersonic
this means Sans, in his base form, can move at a max of 16.4 feet per second, while with going into his 'Bad Time' mode, he can move much faster, at a max of 563 feet per second, which is just barely faster than the eye can make clear of. alongside this, Sans also has basic teleportation.
in his base form, Sans has a combat reaction speed of 32.2 feet per second, meaning, if for some reason, he just started punching at the air, the total 'distance' his arms would cover would be 32.2 feet per second. as implausible as that sounds, it is surprisingly very possible for a normal human to pull this off. in his Bad Time mode, Sans can attack at Supersonic speeds, fast enough to break the sound barrier at Mach 1.1 to Mach 2.5.
finally, Sans has a quick reaction time, his being 'subsonic', being able to process things at 0.009 seconds, much faster than the average human of 0.14 seconds or so. when his Bad Time mode is activated, his awareness heightens, and he's able to process information at 'supersonic' speeds, which is 0.0069 seconds, much faster than one could blink their eye.

i've added a third category to the Strength section. we now have Striking Strength, Power Strength, and basic Durability.
Striking Strength determines how hard one could punch a target. how much force one could exert in a punch.
Power Strength doesn't apply to all users, only those who can use non-physical powers that aren't basic weaponry. something like, in Sans' case, summoning magical attacks.
Durability is fairly self-explanatory. It determines the maximum damage a character could take, and can cancel out striking/power strength if high enough.
Sans | Bad Time
Striking Strength: Below Average
Power Strength: Wall | Large Building
Durability: Below Average
Sans' max Striking Strength is the same in both categories, his base form and his Bad Time mode. he is below average, meaning he can hypothetically exert an absolute maximum of 125 pounds of force in a single punch.
his powers are more impressive, however. in his base form, his powers at their max would be powerful enough to destroy Wall level, which is around 2.5 to 5 tons of force. while in his Bad Time mode, this is upped to Large Building level, which has a max of 100 Tons of force.
Sans' durability is the same in both forms, meaning he can take a maximum of 125 pounds of physical force before being defeated. anything less, he has a chance to survive.
Stamina (How long one’s stamina can last either running or in combat)
Below Average (0 - 2 Hours)
Human (2 - 8 Hours)
Athlete (8 - 16 Hours)
Peak Human (16 - 48 Hours)
Superhuman (48 - 100 Hours)
Very High (100 - 200 Hours)
Extremely High (200 - 1,000)
Nearly Limitless (1,000 - 5,000)
Limitless (5,000 - Limitless)
this is one of my completely new categories, and it helps determine a character's stamina. how long one could go either running or in combat. the average human can run for around 2 to 8 hours straight.
Sans | Bad Time
Stamina: Below Average
Sans' stamina category is the same for both of his forms. he can go for a possibly max of 2 hours before succumbing to fatigue.
the Intelligence category took more research than i would have thought to make, but here it is. the latest category. this one will probably go under changes, but this is what i have right now. the average person has an IQ of 90 to 110. this can help determine if a character has the wits to outsmart another in a battle, though i will need to incorporate a strategy category that can counteract the basic forms of intelligence. you can also notice Omniscience, which is a universal awareness. for example on this, King Kai from Dragon Ball Z has Nigh Omniscience, while a character like Doc Scratch would have Complete Omniscience, a limitless IQ and a limitless awareness.
Sans | Bad Time
Intelligence: Superhuman
Sans might not be hyper intelligent, but with Superhuman intelligence, he has an estimated IQ of around 220 - 300, which is alone impressive. with this factoring in, he'd be more likely to outsmart others beneath him on the intelligence ladder, but be more susceptible to being tricked by those higher than him.
now, i will need to add negative category's, as Arrogance plays into intelligence. somebody with Hyper Intelligence, but with a lot of Arrogance, could still be fooled and tricked by those of lesser intelligence, solely due to pride and being ignorant.
so here's the full scaling for Sans;
Sans | Bad Time
Physical Speed: Below Average & Teleportation | Subsonic & Teleportation
Combat Speed: Athletic Human | Supersonic
Reaction Speed: Subsonic | Supersonic
Striking Strength: Below Average
Power Strength: Wall | Large Building
Durability: Below Average
Stamina: Below Average
Intelligence: Superhuman
Yes, every MHA Student has been sent there. Well, all present in the RP, at the least.
Of course, the area where they are is a bit crowded...maybe hold off on them for a bit later? Like, they can strike at the group as they head to confront Henryk, who would've been corrupted by a crystal...Or maybe someone else? I'm not sure. If someone's got a better idea for a "final boss" of Yharnam, shoot.
Yeah maybe you can clarify what the group at Yharnam has to do on the agenda? Want to get Bakugou & Akame bigger presence then they'd had so a refresher on what the group there is to do will help me prepare possible character bits for them like with Hiro & Kale in the Specter plot.
I have claimed Groot, Black Panther, and Indiana Jones so far. I might claim some more, strictly for the sequel though. Groot and Black Panther might appear in this RP if the characters return home to recruit their friends.
Honestly, I think it would be hilarious if I claimed the Ridiculous Six from... The Ridiculous Six. They wouldn’t really contribute to the plot combat-wise, but damn that movie was hilarious. They would probably just be around for more comedy gags. All they would do in combat is shoot at people with a bunch of guns.
Also, I’m thinking of taking another Heroes character for the sequel. Possibly Matt Parkman. More likely Hiro Nakamura, though. He has more useful powers, and he is just way too funny to leave out of something like this. It might be difficult to re-enact the way he talks, since he has an accent that makes it sound like he has a speech impediment. I could possibly use the future version of him from the alternate universe in Volume One...
Hmm...Well so far my only plan is
1) Meeting Eileen
2) Travelling to Oedon's Tomb
3) Fighting off Kanna and Tohru
4) Fighting Corrupted Henryk/Other fitting final boss
Eevee spoke of possibly putting Papyrus/Undyne/Cooler in Yharnam for the time being. Maybe they can be obstacles along the way?
Another possible plot point is the group splits, some going with Eileen to the Tomb, but the other group heads toward the Chapel, for safety. Maybe that's where Pap/Undyne/Cooler can be. Just causing trouble for the...three residents.
Really.
There's only three folks who can make it to the Chapel in one piece. And one can murder the another.

You know what? I’m gonna fling some characters into Kaleb’s universe. Why the heck not?
It will be fifteen years in the future from when Kaleb left because they will be caught in a time warp. Basically, it will be as if Kaleb was missing for the series of events in which he saves the world, so all the regions are at war.
This is a custom Pokémon universe I created. Exactly why I keep trying to say Kaleb isn’t just an average trainer. He is like the protagonist of the world. But people actually use weapons here, too, in the wars. Not just Pokémon.
I’m gonna put Kaleb, Meta Knight, and Sawyer there. Anyone else who wants can fling some of their guys over there.
I'll do this often, so feel free to ignore most of these.

So far, that's 6 out my 14 cast members staying with me.
I was gonna take Steven, but it turns out he's massively OP in this role-play.
TL;DR the kid can resurrect the dead.
And not in an undead situation; HE CAN LITERALLY BRING A CORPSE BACK TO 100%.
I also had an idea where objects from other realities would be pulled into the mix, as a way to possibly shake things up. I got this idea after Dex got his hands on the Great Fairy's Sword.
Like, Young Link getting his hands back on the Master Sword. As another alternative, the Nomad could get Noelle's Wand from Black Clover; a magic artifact and enhances and helps increase control of one's magic.
I’m probably gonna send Thor and Rocket to the custom Pokémon universe. Their group has the most slowed production out of any group so far. Priscilla’s group is welcome to join them there.
yeah, Vader watched Belowski walk off, and just stuck around outside.
i think Vader and Bowser might be a little too committed to this whole 'Negan's Lackies' thing.
not a particularly lengthy post as i didn't have a ton to react to, but this is what i could pull outta my ass for the time being and advance the plot a bit.
Just got back from watching Dragon Ball Super: Broly, gotta say, I loved it. Might take a character from it, probably not Broly, but maybe, only issue is, he seems too op.

If there's another boss or enemy there, maybe that'd be a good introduction for Trevor and Sypha? That whole "Bloody Tears plays in the background" thing and all.

Yeah, I'm probably going to have Z send that trio off to Yharnam so they're out of the way during the Battle of Camelot. Speaking of Z's group, actually, they'll get to do something in my next post!
