I think I might attempt to catch the Gengar now, I just don’t know what to do because on one hand I wanted to save the Gengar encounter for a bit later but also I know for a fact that I’m going to catch Charizard after the first timeskip, and I feel like I may be doing way too much at once but also time is just moving so slow in the rp lmfao

Actually no, I think I am going to save the capture of gengar until after I catch Charizard. It’ll definitely be before the KLA vs GCA tournament but I feel like the rest of the day should be spent on development between Dom and Charmander as well as getting used to classes. (+ I still have the whole Lycanroc thing going on which I don’t plan on settling until the actual tournament.) so maybe I will wait on Gengar.

Also I might have Jack send Monsoon back to Sinnoh, he has two Water-Types and I think he'd rather have the newer one he caught overseas because of the whole memories thing. I wasn't doing much with him anyway
Having James Catch a Vulpix, there may or may not be a Shiny Ninetales in the area as well.
If I didn't have Charlie's team planned out I would probably just have her run with Dune because for the most part Dune is her ace.

@Draco Nightshade do you think since both our characters have Aura capabilities we should have some sort of interaction?
If I remember correctly Alexander learned how to sense Aura while Dom sort of has just the capability to sense with aura. I think I’m gonna make the reason Dom has had issues with reading Dragon Dnergy is because his body is confusing Aura and Dragon Energy. That’s why he had to yell to sliggoo to get it across because while in his mind he’s using Dragon Energy but he’s actually using aura. While he has almost no capability of actually reading dragon energy he’s naturally gifted in Sensing aura and transmitting thoughts through aura

For the day one pokeathalon i was thinking 3 people each with 3 Pokémon participate in 3 different events.
The Brick Break Contest (smashing plates over and over) (I feel like Reese would be good for this event, having Golurk as a strong Pokémon with a lot of stamina. Runerigus as well, strong but maybe not as much stamina, while Sygiliph has good stamina but not as strong)
Disc Catch (Pokémon jumping and catching discs)
Relay race (seeing which Pokémon team can race across the arena fastest)
The day 2 event of the Pokémon contest. This would probably be 2 people from KLA vs 2 people from GCA (Obviously Del and his Pokémon would do this one, being cheer captain and all, but I also feel like Alexander and his Lucario and soon Lapras would be able to also do something here. I’m feeling like an Aura Aurora Borealis.)
For the day 3 Pokémon musical, anyone could probably participate in this one. It would just be any amount of people and Pokémon participating, but to keep things simple I feel like only one Pokémon per person. The bulk of the plot behind this would probably be before the actual event during rehearsals for it.
Then day 4 would be the holiday Dinner and Dance. Some sort of ritual between the schools as a sort of “truce” or something where they eat and dance together. This would probably mostly serve for Character Exposition and some romance if you plan to have that sort of thing with your characters. Also a good chance for interesting interactions with your GCA counterpart rival.
Then day 5 would be the battle tournament. Each school chooses 5 trainers to participate in this event, (rn the only people I really think should definitely participate in this event are one or two of the Argenstons(sorry if I misspelled), Charlie, Jack, and Dom. There will be 2 people who lose their battles and 2 people who win their battles and then the final battle between the two team captains.

I think there should be two 2v2 battles and two 1v1s, for a total of 6 participants per side
The only reason I thought we should do 5 1v1s so that we could do the battle so in one post and then people could post with their reactions and then we can move on to the next battle. The last time we had a battle it lasted wayyy too long LMAO

Yeah I like the idea, we'll just have to find a good moment for it. And looking at the events, Charlie would definitely be in the battle competition.
I think I plan on having Charlie make it to the school arena and get thrown into a battle by Mr. Hanzo and it may or may not be with June first.
Emma's slated to lose, and Jason's the other Argentston, and either him, Dom or Charlie as captain. (you missed the first T, that's all).

Personally I think double posting in the discussion isn't a big deal. I think triple posts are too much but double seems fine, sometimes you may have something else to say and its been a certain time since the last post, so if you just edit the already posted one nobody gets notifications for it.

Wait, I was thinking that the battles would be like Rock Paper Scissors where it’s a best out of 5. Battle one would be Charlie vs Rival, then Jack vs David, then Emma vs Rival and Jason vs Rival. 2 people lose and two people win, the final battle being the decider with Dom vs Ron
That could still work actually, maybe Emma and David just have a practice match before the big day and he beats her
Jason vs Silas is a Guaranteed Win for Kyogre.
I might wanna have Thomas have a go in the school arena as well. If I make his rival's bio and have him put in, I'm definitely gonna have him lose against Thomas.

3. And I want Dom to overcome his insecurity with loss and I want there to be like a fake “oh Sliggoo Fainted” type facade but Dom is like “it’s alright sliggoo, we tried our best blah blah” but then Sliggoo gets back up and evolves and wins the battle

I made a post so Charlie is gonna fight some npc, and I named him david coincidentally, so I remembered we have a rival named david so I went back and changed it

The thing is with the battle tournament is all 5 spots are full and we can’t do 6 because we need an odd number of battles, but we still need people for the pokeathalon (which also requires a rival) if you want to do that

Its not a big deal, we'll figure it out when we get to the point of the tournament. Its not necessary we can only have 5 spots, we can mess with the power of fiction for it to work out for everyone.

The thing with that is if everyone were given the choice most would choose the battle tournament. We could just timeskip the events no one's in, but that would make this arc pretty short if everyone has one post per tournament battle
