Tournament for Sports Festival after second or third Timeskip
Ok, but Alex can't differentiate between auras very well so, yeah.
Hmm I'm not sure how to help. Doesn't Alex have a gallade that's like an assistant to help to help with his blindness. Maybe it sees James and insists Alex and it go them. Or something . I don't really know how to control a blind character. Sorry

I was thinking, since the stadium is technically built on the water so if you wanted maybe you sense the aura of the people battling? I don't know specifically about Charlie or Del but I know that Dom would have a pretty noticeable aura
How are trade evolutions gonna work? Are we gonna do it like Legends where the pokemon just reacts to the item or are we actually going to need to trade
Legends one, trading would just be an inconvenience for something that has an alternative
Not to mention how trade type evolution is essentially just a game mechanic meant to encourage players to interact with each other.

I only just read this for some reason, this would all be taking place during the academys fall (thanksgiving) break.
The timeline I had in my head was
First two days --> a month after the first day --> Halloween --> The day the other school arrives (the day before the sports festival arrives)
Also I feel like just for things that can be done over the course of the event, we can have interactions with the other school and also our parents and family members who I assume are going to be coming to watch the event
So after this day, we do a month timeskip, and then after that day we timeskip to Halloween, and after Halloween we timeskip to the day before the sports festival?
Yup, just to have stuff like team updates and evolutions happen. Personally speaking the month after is when I catch charizard and halloween is when I catch gengar
We'll figure it out we're planning ahead too quickly imo, and while the timeskip is a good idea I do think we should have it more sparingly since a big part of this beginning is for the trainers to get used to living on the island and adjusting to the school life. If we do a timeskip I think the first one should only be a week or two, we can step it up after that one but I think a month time skip after the first 2 days on the island leaves so much of the students character to get caught in that skip. Idk if I'm explaining it right, but so much potential character stuff can happen in that month and the first month of school is like, the most important part.

I was wondering about obtaining a Tyrunt and possibly a Shinx sometime after Lapras. Would that be alright?
I think a month is good, I think a week timeskip would be more of the same as the first two days and the month timeskip could just have flashback sequences. Plus the longer we leave planned things out to rot the less likely they are to happen.

If anything we should just say now in the discussion thread what things could possibly happen in the next month for the characters that would actually be impactful for the characters. Because personally I don't think Dom would get much development outside of just becoming a better trainer, but I feel like after this next post Dom will be a bit colder towards people. I think I finally have like a solid character arc in place for dom now even though I know I've changed Dom's character arc like a million times now I think I have a solid plan
For Jack I was thinking he gets closer to Emma, evolves Finneon, and maybe branches out to other characters to see what he could learn from them, since his arc is about having a deeper understanding of life, what with the memories-associated-with-Pokémon motif.
Ok, I'll try and plan stuff out for the time skip.
I understand that feeling lol, but I do think I have Charlie's character defined now. I'm not gonna explain it here for the sake of its more fun to show it off in rp.

Emma has Trauma, and is dealing with that, she is working through her Trauma, it will be there for the rest of her life, but the effects will be diminished.
Laura is currently trying to learn more about how the world works outside her specialty, with Ivan being a battler, he is helping.
James is intending on making friends, but it's not easy for him, and he may join the musical to help his Awkwardness.
Jason is attempting to have a deeper understanding than just battling and other stuff here or there, like more slice of life, and learning about other stuff, like history, with his Aerodactyl.

That actually sounds really cool, and it fits Jacks character. I feel like Dom's is gonna be more of a deeper understanding of self and realization of self i guess? I wan't to have a bit of exposition with Dom's relationship with who he is and what he comes from. Could you imagine your whole life thinking "Oh I'm just not that good at Dragon Energy" and then nope, turns out you have almost no aptitude for it and you're actually more gifted in Aura abilities
That makes sense, I just cant help but spill out everything that swirls around in this crazy mind of mine im fighting so hard not to give every detail of my plan for Doms character to keep it somewhat a surprise.
