Manda hissed as he reared back to snap hi jaws on the younger snake. The snake was smaller, so it just left his grasp. Manda gave up his pursuit in turn for dealing with the other Anbu. He licked his lips, slowly creeping closer to the site. Manda arched his back awaiting to pounce on his desired target. His movements were silent and stealthy as their predatory species is known for. As soon as Kabuto was clear, the snake would aim to bite down on the anbu with the force of a tank, to crush every bone in her body.

.....

Reaver had prepared to defend against the kunai, readying the scythe to parry it. But his sight was off, the kunai just missed it, Reaver misjudging it’s trajectory. It hit his shoulder as he gasped and held it. He hadn’t had much battle experience outside his machine suit. He buckled, coughing in his gas mask, open for whatever attack was behind him. He was vulnerable.

Emil came back to the arena, but without the snake!? Neither was he holding the scroll he would use to summon it “Hey Manda over here, you stupid piece of crap you may be a giant snake but I can’t believe you fell for my trick and almost got bit by my snake, I mean come on that’s a rookie mistake, there’s no way a king would commit a rookie mistake right?” He got on the spectator area and activated his sharingan “Now Pharoah!” His Snake came from the ground on the exact spot Kabuto and Hinagiku were standing.

"The will of stone should be accompanied by the force of a mountain!" Mori launched a kick at Reaver with enough force to knock him down, he just had to be careful with his scythe as that thing could snatch him up and kill him really fast if caught unaware. "If he was trained a bit more outside of his suit, he would be a very formidable foe."

The king of snakes considered his previous opponet to he nothing more than a scared weakling, and focused in the hunt at hand. Manda, who was already prepared to pounce on the anbu when there was an opening, saw the snake emerge from the ground. The second it emerged, the superior snakes pounced to devour it. It would be snatched up and bitten with the full force of the king Manda if it were to work. His tail simply swiping at the other Anbu that had previously mocked him. He would die for this....

......

Reaver was all of a sudden kicked down, his scythe leaving his hands as he landed directly on the kunai that had punctured his shoulder. He groaned in agony as he grasped at it. Using his metal manipulation, he removed the kunai, creating a makeshift bandage of metal for it. Reaver breathed heavily as he hit the ground, looking back just barley at his foe.

“I.....I yield.”

"Smart choice. Now let me help you up." Mori picked Reaver off the ground and wrapped the wounded ninja's arm around his neck to support him. "If you trained more without your suit, you would be a great ninja. You clearly have the tools for it." Even though they were just fighting a minute ago, Mori acted like they were friends for years. "If you have trouble breathing, take off the gas mask. It should allow you to get more oxygen. And I am breaking the rules again for saying this; you get to keep your forehead protector. You have potential and it would be a shame to let that go to waste."

“Hm...your courage was to be admired. Perhaps your will of stone surely is something...”

Reaver has just twitched when he had heard him say he should keep his forehead protector. He snapped off his gas mask, reavealing his mout underneath, the first foreign ninja to see it. He stripped off his forehead protector and dipped it in his shoulder wound. He handed it to him.

“Take it! It would be an insult for you to do otherwise. I do not accept pity from warriors, but comradery, I do. In time i’ll Come back to collect my trophy, but for not it has been earned.”

"If you insist, I shall take it. And you're saying that you want a rematch one day? I'm down for that but I won't lose!" Mori took the forehead protector and smiled at the rain ninja before putting him against a tree. "That should be stable enough for a recovery. Sadly this will have to do as Konoha probably recognizes you and 'accidentally' kill you. You'll have to get proper treatment once you're back home."

Azumi saw that Reaver had been beaten as she placed the suit in a sealed scroll, which given he lacked his suit had not been too surprising. Said a lot that he needed to sharpen his skills without it. Irregardless, Azumi put her disappointment aside as she knew she had to ensure that Reaver would make it out of here in one piece. Nut he was, he was a talented Ame-nin and comrade so leaving him was out of the question. Thankfully, his opponent seemed of the honorable type which gave her a window as soon she emerged from the bush and approached the Iwa-nin and Reaver.

"Indeed, he does have potential. And I am here to make sure that he lives to realize it." Azumi said before she overheard Reaver's objection to some gesture from her opponent which caused Azumi to let out a sigh though the advice the Iwa-nin gave was one she could work with.

"Indeed, it's time to get you healed. I have your suit in a scroll." Azumi explained to Reaver before she turned to the Iwa-nin that had bested him. She was not one to give "respect" to those of the great nations but he had proved to be an honorable & powerful opponent so she'd have to work an exception. If only once.

"What is your name?" Azumi asked the Iwa-nin.

Hinagiku

While she had been prepared to dodge Kabuto's attack and then literally tear his chakra network to shreds, the appearance of Emil's summon throw Hinagiku for a loop and also threw her through the air. While she had seen it with her Byakugan, she had been in no position to dodge the emerging serpent. This battle was quickly becoming one of summons instead of one of shinobi. Realizing this, Hinagiku acted as any rational shinobi would and introduced her own summon to the battle. She bit her thumb after weaving the necessary hand seals and slapped her hand down onto the air, allowing the black runes for the summoning contract to spread out in mid-air. With a puff of smoke, a house cat-sized fox poofed into existence, its nine illustrious tails waving in unison while illusory flames burned around it. With a shrill cry multiple genjutsu copies of the fox appeared, all alight with illusory Foxfire, and all seeking to ignite the giant serpent in a sea of real and genjutsu flames.

Hinagiku, on the other hand, continued soaring through the air and managed to land on the wall of the stadium. When she landed she quickly weaved another set of hand seals. The ground next to her liquified to mud and from the small pond emerged a mud dragon's head. "Earth Release: Mud Dragon Bullet!" The earthen draconic figure reared its head before spraying a series of mud bullets across the field. She was aiming for coverage rather than precision. "Emil, give me some flames!" The addition of fire style would allow her technique added damage as the mud balls would become searing hot.

Sagisō

Eyes snapping open Sagisō immediately tried to finish her jutsu, her murderous intent had been rekindled and she was ready to truly imprint her name into Taiyo and Raiku's memories, her thoughts would surely follow them into their dreams and turn those dreams to nightmares. She scanned the area like a starved wolf looking for some juicy sheep to sink its fangs into, but only found Azumi and Shura. She leaped to her feet, and charged at Shura, ready to beat him until he spilled where those two defilers had run off towards. It was a form of senseless violence she was sure Azumi would not fault her for. Surely the Amekunoichi would've seen much senseless violence considering her somewhat detached-

Sagisō paused...Azumi? Her eyes filled with momentary shock, shifting from Azumi, to Shura, to her surroundings, to Furījia lying beside her, before repeating the process. After the tenth cycle of this, the confusion faded from her eyes and she seemed to have reached an understanding. It had all just been a terrifying nightmare. Afterall, something as crazy as that couldn't have actually happened.

"My name is Mori Utamara from Iwagakure. I assume you are an acquaintance of him?" Mori asked the Ame-Nin that appeared before giving Reaver his sword back. "This is yours, I wouldn't want to take it from you. Along with that axe." Mori got up to get the axe and placed it down in front of the two Ame-nin. "I assume that you two will get enough rest once you're back in Ame? And Toolbox, I need to know your name as I can't just call you Toolbox during our rematch."

Reaver’s eyes lit up as he saw Azumi, who had no doubt dispatches of her two enemies. When she spoke about reclimainh her armor in a suit, he laughed deeply to himself.

“Hehehe....So the Reaver IV may survive to wage another war...This kindness is much appreciated. You truly are full of surprises.”

Reaver winced, standing back up from the tree, he ignored Azumi’s advice about needing medical attention. He wouldn’t let something as small as the mortal coil to keep him down. When Mori asked what it name was, putting his weapons beside him, he raised the sword with his good arm, rasing it above him.

“I am Reaver! The Tank Warrior of the hidden rain!” He said, his removed gas mask revealing his true plain speaking voice.

He winced, clenching his shoulder, dropping the sword to cradle his wound. He propped back up on the The tree. He put his gas mask back on in a hurry.

“Hm....perhaps you were right about the wound...” he said, his deeper voice regained

Emil heard Hinagiku call and detransformed and made a few hands signs with quick speed “Body replacement technique!” He was replaced with a log, but the log had a explosive tag on it. Emil was in the air and formed a few more hand signs in the air “Fire Style: Great Annihlation Flame” he made a burst of Fire came from his mouth and hardened the mud balls everywhere’s “I’m almost out of chakra so I’m going to have to revert to charging it up, my shadow clone will only help with so much so cover me.” The shadow clone dodged the tail swipe, but was vulnerable in the air.

"Acquaintance is a fair word. Though sometimes I feel as if I should move myself to caretaker given his need to get himself in needless fights can be problematical. Though really we were just the nin sent from Amegakure to compete in the exams and represent our people." Azumi explained to Mori though waited to see if Reaver would give an introduction as opposed to the given nickname "Toolbox" the Iwa-nin branded him with.

Azumi then sighed as Reaver gave his over excited introduction as she quickly got a bandage and went to work to wrap up the wound.

"You overexerted yourself. And damaged your suit. All in battles that were pointless to have, if you focused more on fighting smart rather than fighting for just the sake of it you might have made it to the finals." Azumi said with a neutral tone, that may have come off as a tease before she spoke up again.

"For now just hold still. I'll have this patched up." Azumi added on as she began to wrap up the wound on Reaver's shoulder.

"You might want to take her advice Reaver, she seems like she knows what she's doing. Maybe you'll make it to the finals next time and who knows, you might even face me there." Mori smiled at Reaver, waiting to see how he would react. Even though he smiled, he couldn't shake the feeling of uneasiness the kunoichi gave him. She seemed far too sure and matured to be a genin, but he felt like it would be better to not ask any questions.

“Pointless?? Pointless?!? I collected splendid trophies those days! Many genins died and would be remembered for years to come!”

He winced as Azumi began to bandage him up. He scooped his sword and axe into a pile, Azumi wrapping him up. He looked to Mori and held his fist up.

“The next Chunnin Exams is said to take place in my village, our turf. When you come our way, I will be relieving you of that headband, plus your own. That is a promise!”

Reaver has placed the axe and sword next to Azumi’s scroll where the Reaver IV prototype was. He had to admit, he would be hornless to fight him again. The only other opponet to fight him like a warrior instead of an assasain

"But did you manage to make it to the finals? No? Then it was pointless. I know you take pride in your "trophies" but you must remember the original reason we came here. You should be lucky I was able to pick up the slack." Azumi said as she continued to patch up the wound, as she had referenced to her victory in those exams this year though the idea of her own nation hosting the next ones had been one she struggled with. For so long the nations of the world cared little for Amegakure and used it as battle ground. Now they had the thought that this gesture alone had been enough to forgive past sins.

It had been far from the case to say the very least.

"I am a friend of Sagiso's. As such, she granted me access to the Hyuga Compound. I presume since you are here you are either a Hyuga yourself, a friend of one of them or an intruder." Azumi's clone said, her hand on the handle on the blade if it had been the latter option as Sagiso and the other girl, her sister, seemed helpless to defend themselves.

Least until Sagiso had sprung to life in a rather...frantic manner. Azumi assumed Sagiso had a bad dream based on whatever had managed to knock her unconscious as she seemed confused as she exchanged glances from her to Shura to Furijia and repeated the process until she seemed to settle a bit.

"Good, you are awake." Azumi said to Saigso with her usual tone as her hand eased away from the handle of the blade. The clone seemed relieved that Sagiso was okay even if she wasn't the most expressive due to being a clone.

As Tomiko continued to walk, out of the tunnel and towards a light which had to signal an opening of some kind, she listened to Kou's words as he almost cursed her for being "blessed" for having friends, family and a loving village. Tomiko understood that attitude, many kids in the slums had similar bitter feelings even among those of less economically fortunate situations for having a family or any support system.

"I suppose you could say that. Though that might be the first time someone from the dumps ever got that compliment. Truth is though things are not always peaches and cream back home. Grow up in a dead end distract that is basically left for dead. Everyone, even my parents struggle to make a living and gang warfare is constant." Tomiko said, though her tone didn't come off as someone dejected by those conditions. Soon enough Tomiko made it out the hole and saw she was back in the stadium, away from the fighting that seemed to erupt that featured a pair of ANBU fighting with or against giant snakes.

Mori grinned and bumped Reavers fist. "You better have improved the next time we meet as the attack with the kunai could have easily been avoided if you ducked before getting hit. Of course I will be improving too, and in our fight in the finals we are allowed to use jutsu. I am curious to find out which jutsus you have. Even if you wear that suit, I will try and beat you. You can't get my headband by doing nothing, you have to be trained until you collapse, multiple times."

Mori didn't know what it was about this hidden rain ninja, but he liked him. A feisty rival like him would motivate him to become even better. "What do you say about being rivals Reaver?"

Reaver’s eyes seemed as if there was a fire lit in them that wasn’t there before. He released a low bellowed laugh. He accepted the fist numb and puffed out his chest.

“Hahaha! Rivals it is! We will for sure meet in the field if battle again, and the suit will be different! Perhaps this time you’ll fight me alone without my suit being weakened by eight other genin! Hahaha-ack!”

As the badandage finally finished up, he massaged it, getting up on his feet, too confident to be seen lying down in such a state. He grabbed the scroll which held the Reaver mark IV and careful slid it into a holster on his back

Shura was looking towards Azumi before he saw Sagiso suddenly wake up and charge at him for something reason, he went to pull out out his chain from his waist until he noticed her suddenly stopping with a confused look on her face and sighted. “What was that about?” He thought to himself as he pulled his hand away from his chain. “So you’ve woken up, miss Hinagiku brought you and Furijia here if you’re wondering how you got here.” Shura explained.

"Fukusura!" Kushina cried out, as she worked as quickly as she could while Fukusura tried to air kick up to get away from the seal below her, but the unknown forced pulled against her as Kushina tried to think of a solution...before she realized she was an Edo-Tensei and could use that to her advantage as the Jinchuriki advanced towards her.

"Throw me Fukusura! Right at the Junchiki! Throw me and get yourself to safety!" Kushina advised Fukusura which caused the Toad Summon's eyebrows to shoot up in confusion.

"L-lady Kushina I must insist..."

"JUST DO IT!"

Fukusura decided it had not been worth arguing about as she grabbed Kushina by the hand, wincing a bit at the blades that remained within her as they cut the toad's skin a bit, before she chucked Kushina forward right at the oncoming sphere. It predictably moved right through her as Kushina shattered to hundreds of pieces of paper-like material; which left the swords inside her as the Jinchuriki would have been forced to mow past those sharp blades as well. Immediately Kushina began to reform as he figure soon returned to normal as the swords no longer sought to hinder her movements as she began to work on some hand signs as a contract seal appeared in the Uzumaki's hand as she charged at the Sannin with the intent to try and slam the seal into him so that the vicious snakes she just knows he had to have summoned would no longer endanger the civilians of Konoha.

Minato in turn had been left alone. As he gathered chakra in his Rasengan. And some additional wind-chakra began to mix in with the jutsu as minature wind blades began to spin around the Rasengan core as Minato began to display one of the newer variants to his jutsu; the Rasenshiruken. Minato aimed to use this to cripple its target, though even it being a distance weapon Minato had to close in on the monster to prevent a timely dodge. Minato's eyes also began to change, as Ma & Pa had finished gathering energy and had began the fusion process as Minato charged forward at the Jinchuriki as it appeared to be his target.

Aisha's thoughts had been interrupted with Zaku's comment that concerned her wanting to be deaf. Aisha scanned Zaku, moving around the Oto-nin as if to give an inspection before she faced him while Luna & Sky remained by her side. Eyeing the Oto-nin with unfriendly gazes and showing their teeth.

"Not at all, though I think you should be more worried about being blind. If that is how you see things then there really is no other explanation. I saw the state of this village myself, and what I saw was a far cry from standing up for the "little guy" you feel is oppressed. I saw mindless attempts at slaughter of everyone, including people like you. Not liberation." Aisha said matter of factly as Kenji moved next to Sakura who held a kunai against Dosu's neck but had yet to make the move to kill him; her hand shaking in place as it showed subconscious reservation. Kenji sighed as he held his hand out.

"Here. I can do this if you do not want to." Kenji offered as this left Sakura deep in thought over the issue.

Manda snapped down on the snake, before it seemed to vanish. It was an elaborate shadow clone disguise technique! The substitution on top of all of this indeed must have cost quite the chakra amount, as the log exploded inside of Manda’s mouth, for he had just welcomed in an explosive.

“Gahhhh!”

Manda seemed to take the flames while he was in this surprised state, dousing his position in flame. A lot of his scales seemed burned or scaleded, but unlike the snake that had succumbed before, he endured the hit. It made him angry, because that tactic actually did some damage. He locked eyes with the target floating down from above. With this in mind, he lunged into the air, he mouth ready to crush the enemy ninja, or what appeared to be him.

Kabuto simply laughed at the chaos, watching as the hyuga anbu agent summoned a fox. He didn’t even think much of them, picking up kimimaro with a bit of struggle and calmly walking down into the cave system, the darkness seeming to envelop him. It’s like he didn’t even treat the anbu as being there!

.........

“Don’t act so dissapointed. You were chosen after all.” One of the sound ninja told Kiro as they remained motionless. “We are to escort you out when-“

They were greeted by the figure of Kabuto, carrying Kimimaro, emerging from one of the cave corridors. Many ninja rushed over to take the fifth of the sound five from him.

“Master Kabuto! What has happened to him?” One of the medical operatives said.

“He did his job, that all that matters.” Kabuto said coldly, adjusting his glasses. “We may have company soon.”

The rest of the sound ninja took a defensive line, placing traps and other lines of defense inside of the corridor as Kabuto turned to Kiro

“So, your the new one? Have to say you don’t look like much. What separates you from the other Uchiha?”

......

Kou was taken aback, and maybe even a bit guilty about what he had said to Tomiko. She may have had parents, and friends, but she lead a rough life, one harder than she was letting on. He gulped, remembering a story zaku told him, that She took so much damage from a Kiro but never gave in. Kou now halfway understood why she was. She wasn’t strong willed because she could be or wanted a flashy title.

She was strong because she had to be.

Kou respected that, and honestly admired that to a degree. He had to get stronger, just like her and Boss. Be brave and strong willed like her and change the world for the better like Boss.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to- ah screw it...” Kou said, not finding the right words to express all of his thoughts. “How....how are you so strong?! Not buff, but you know, in the noggin’ and stuff...”

...........

“Your starting to sound like billboard head.” Zaku sighed at the inzuaka. “Killing of ninja, the weapons of the leaf arent innocent lady. That are about as innocent as a vulture. They know something is dying but they wait for it to finish dying before they reap the reward. You don’t have any missions to help the needy, nor even help the poor, because what’s the money in that right? You just take and take, without consequence. Well your not taking anything else out of us, or out of him.”

Zaku gestured to Dosu, making his way to him, standing between the majority in the trim and his former comrade. He put his implant at Dosu’s forehead, a highpitched sound emanating from it as it became clear was Zaku was about to do.

..............

The cloaked Yukimaru has pulverized Kushina, which gave him a vast feeling of pleasure and satisfaction before she started to reform due to the edo tensei. He then frowned before he realized his trajectory, right into the swords that Kushina used to have inside of her! his cloak hit them, most hitting the cloak, but the rest cut through and sliced at different parts of his body. The wrist, stomach, neck, leg.

“Ow, ouch, agh....oof!”

He had been damaged or if his tailed beasts state. Still in his roll, he staggered himself on his feet. He lacked the chakra on his own to continue the fight, but he remained conscious, hiding behind a rashomon shard.

Orochimaru watched as Kushina made her way right to him, his mouth curving up to a grin as a malevolent plan came to mind. He lifted the infant up to face his mother, as he flexed his hand.

“Striking Shadow Snakes!”

As the baby’s naruto whimpered at his mother, dozens of snakes came from Orochiamru’s arms, tearing through the child’s chest and coming to restrict her hand, arms, and wrist. The child wailed all the while as it’s body was being used as a meat shield and a weapon.

Then something began to feel odd. The wind felt chilled as minato was revving up a unseen power, his body began to glow and a superior version of the rasengan was forming. Sage mode! But....how? Hm....

This was a hole in his plan. If he achieved sage mode he would lose all chance of winning. He couldn’t allow that to happen. He began to create a lengthy series of handsigns as he prepared for minato’s expected next strike

Hinagiku

"..."

Besides being somewhat stunned that the Oto-nin would disregard her and then walk into the cave system, she wondered if he was just confident or stupid. She guessed that since he was confident (or dumb) enough to retreat underground against an Earth natured opponent, then he had something to rely on. Nevertheless, that could wait. While capturing Kabuto or Kimimaro would've been nice, there were other targets available for capture so their priority wasn't all that high. On the other hand, killing Orochimaru's main summon would've been a much greater accomplishment. Since she'd already set up the field earlier with all her mud release jutsu, Hinagiku's next technique didn't require as much chakra as it normally would've. Noting that Emil had just barely managed to escape from Manda, she decided to give him a helping hand, "Earth Release: Underworld Swamp" The arena, having already been covered with puddles of mu quickly liquified into a sticky swamp beneath the massive serpentine summon. While Hinagiku didn't have the chakra to say, drown the massive serpent, trapping it was another matter entirely.

"Great! I'll be waiting to face you again with or without that suit of yours. Now do me one last favor and finish any business you might have left here and go back to Ame, same goes for you Kunoichi. If you get in another fight you might not be spared, not to mention your injury would get in your way. If you have any questions about me helping you, just go ahead and ask them."

As Emil saw the snake coming, he had charged up a bit of chakra and when he saw the mud he got a idea. He made a few hand signs and buffed his breath “Wind Style: Violent Whirlwind!” Air blew from his mouth, which he aimed at the mud to hit Manda and the mud on Manda would dry. “Now he’s a bit more slower” The clone came around behind Manda and jumped up to Slash him from behind and deal some decent damage.

Manda struggles as the mud justu was cast, his body sunk into the ground, restricting some of his movements, not allowing him to pounce on targets as effectively. He however shattered the clone he had gnawed on, puffing into smoke.

“Wind style: Violent Whirlwind!”

The mud covering Manda, or some of him at least was cooled, practically turning into sheets of rock instead of the pulpy brown liquid. He hissed, analyzing his situation. Before he had much time to think it over, he felt a slight itch on his back. He swerved over to see one humanoid figure, either the anbu or a clone trying to slice at his mud covered hide with a kunai.

While the sudden cooling of the mud did make the scales that had submerged slightly more exposed for the time, a simple kunai couldn’t hope to pierce his thick plates, nor anything that thick in general.

“You insult me if you think you can penetrate my fiercest armor! I’ve devoured villages, nations!”

Manda shoves his spark tail into the humanoid figure, revealing it to be nothing but another clone. Manda was getting infuriated, magnified by the fact that he was immobile in different parts of his body. He growled, trying to shake loose of his mud anchors. They held him for now, but like all things, they would soon fail.

.........

“Perhaps your right...” Reaver said, recognizing his predicament. “Although it would be nice to collect a few more trophies before I leave, I suppose I have to cut my losses. Azumi, I’m sure you’ve secured your...’Trophy’?”

Reaver knew full well what she went after. She had talked about it a few times what that scroll may hold, and they joked about stealing it before she left for the exams, but it seems like she wasn’t joking

Hinagiku

"Yes, yes, you can devour whatever nations you've made out of the mud."

Completely disregarding the serpent Hinagiku focused on the ground scanning through the layers of rock and dirt until she found Kabuto. Her fingers casually shifted into a tiger seal, slowly morphed to the rat seal, before ending with the oh so ironic snake seal. She gave the ground a light kick, her chakra surging through the ground and displacing the smallest of rocks in the most critical of positions. "Earth Release Rock Lodging Destruction." With that jutsu completed, she instantly lost all interest in Kabuto. If he had something up his sleeve, then she sure as hell wouldn't be engaging in an underground goose chase, especially not after all the chakra she'd just used. If he didn't' have anything up his sleeve, then she's come back for the corpses, Inoichi would be able to pry out whatever secrets the corpse had, so whether he was dead or alive mattered little at this point. The cave wouldn't collapse immediately so she had some free time to kill before collecting the corpse or simply switching targets.

Stretching lazily she cast another glance at the mud bathing snake, "Don't play in the mud too much, it's unbefitting of a king." Her disregard quite evident in her voice. She'd secretly dropped a number of paper bombs behind her back and allowed the mud to cover them. If the king of snakes were provoked to strike he'd get another mouthful of explosions after she'd dodged.

Emil sighed “Hinagiku is as reckless as ever, geuss she isn’t called the “Queen of Death” for nothing” he brought out the scroll, and payed tribute with his blood “Summoning Jutsu!” His Giant Snake friend appeared, this time the snake talked “well, looks the like the king is having trouble with only 2 people, your such a waste and a disgrace!” He charged at the king with full force and now surperior speed.

Manda was about to strike the female anbu’s oosition for her comment, but then he received a greater one from behind him. He turned around, seeing Pharaoh boldly out our before him. He hissed, breaking out of the strong hold of the mud combo. He bowed up, puffing out his body, he was a sight to behold, four times the size of Pharoh!

“A disgrace?!? I killed off the competition, any other snake who would opposed me! You will join them in the departed!”

Knowing his anbu summoner couldn’t interfere effectively with very little chakra remaining if any at all, he pounced. His large body breaking everything in his path. It was like a freight train on a collision course with a bike.

........

Kabuto noticed the cave stared to quake. The steel supports that the leaf had made only seems to delay the inevitable. That crazy witch is going to drop the cave in on us, regardless of allies. A page out of my book.

“Earth ninja, formation four!”

“Roger that!”

Eight sound ninja too their positions, stomping on the ground. They called upon rocky pillars that hit the top of the cave to attempting to delay it from crumbling on them. Kabuto nodded as it increased their time to leave.

“Now, should we go?”

When Emil got close enough he jumped off Pharoah and And he Went for the Eye of Manda. He thought to himself in this process “he’s going to either hit me and get bashed by my Snake or get hit in the eye and be blind on one side.”

Manda was hit by the the sword, but due to the vast size different between the sword and his eyes, it felt as if a pin had been lodged into his eye. It was painful, extremly, but not enough to blind the eye. He yelled out, getting increasingly angry!

“Did you Mongrel insects!”

He closed the distance on pharoh, is much more impressive stats in every respect was surely intimidating. Since pharoh didn’t move out of the way, he could’ve himself into an attack pattern, surrounding the snake with his superior body, the sword still lodged in him. But he was resilenat as he went for the kill, attacking the cornered small snake!

Kiro was also a bit unaware of Kabuto making an appearance. He should’ve figured that he was one of Orochimaru’s higher ups. The Oto-Nin did seem to be a bit out of place the first time they met, back a few days ago. The other Sound shinobi also seemed to be a bit worried about the weakened ninja that Kabuto showed up with. Kiro hesitated to look away when he saw the bones sticking out of the bloody man. It was weird to say the least. The other ninja that weren’t occupied suddenly found themselves setting up traps and other lines of defensive when Kabuto said something was coming. Kiro wondered what that ‘something’ might be.

Keeping his composure, Kiro faced Kabuto when he started to speak with him. Kiro was a bit confused about Kabuto saying he didn’t look like much. He also seemed to question why Orochimaru had chosen him. Kiro found if a bit weird considering Kabuto seemed to be pretty interested in him when they first met. However, before Kiro could question this, he also noticed the cave was starting to quake. Not knowing what was going on, Kiro looked at Kabuto to see a slight hint of worry in his face before he gave his orders. The earth users obeyed Kabuto’s orders before they went to work on summoning the pillars to hold up the cave. Whatever was happening, they had to get out of their soon and Kiro nodded a ‘yes’ to Kabuto, wondering why that was even question.

Yasu sighed. He didn't think it would be easy to convince either of the girls to let him go by himself, but he didn't take Madoka to be as stubborn as Tomiko was. As it stood, there probably wasn't any way of getting Madoka to leave without finding Tomiko first.

"Fine, you can come with... but if it gets dangerous you're turning around and leaving."

The boy shook his head, why was he letting her do this? It didn't matter anymore though, he had already agreed to letting her come with him. He turned around, back in the direction he came from.

"Guess we're going back in then... let's find Tomiko fast and get out of here."

The snake saw the attack around him and then felt odd “the time limits up guess that’s it for now, guess we’re gonna have to settle this later ay Manda” he poofed away and Emil took the time to pounce off his sword and on to the spectators area he moved to where Hinagiku was standing “how come your just standing there?”

Hinagiku

Her lip twitched under her Anbu mask when she heard Emil's question, but keeping her voice deadpan she replied, "No particular reason." Since her trap had gone to waste and Kabuto was gone, she had no further reason to dillydally around the stadium. "I'm heading towards Lord Hokage, maybe there'll be another chance to capture a target."

She leaped from her position towards the wall, careful not to set off her own paper bombs, maybe the trap would come in handy later. She might as well sweep through whatever fodder she encountered on her way there.

Sagisō

"oh...mom did..? and don't mind it...it was just a dream..."

Sagisō caressed her temples as if trying to soothe a rather persistent headache. After a few moments, she turned to Azumi, "I can't imagine that you'll be staying here with all this going on?" Being from another village herself, she could understand the desire to avoid another villages conflict, especially when you had no reason to get yourself involved. Considering Azumi's outburst during the Chūnin Exams, it wasn't just a matter of not having a reason to get involved, but rather that Azumi would likely be the first one rejoicing over the demise of one of the 5 great ninja villages. Sagisō gave her friend a hard stare, "try not to do anything too stupid, while it's easy to take advantage of others during times of chaos, it's just as easy to get drowned by an undercurrent." She paused again, a finger thoughtfully lingering on her lip. "Well, if you're gonna fish in murky waters, make sure you're the fisher and not one of the fish."

"Reaver, you can collect more than enough trophies during the next Chuunin Exams if you are healed enough. Overexerting yourself will come and bite you in the long run. Although if you really want one more trophy, I suppose I can give you one." Mori pointed at his own forehead protector. "But I think you want to fight for it once you've healed so I'll take good care of it." Mori grinned teasingly at the rain ninjas.

Manda shook his head, the sword falling out of it, some blood along with it. He flashed his head toward the weakned anbu. His mouth clapped open as his jaws came to snap at him, his massive size easily able to cross the distance between them. Manda would try and kill the anbu now that he was seemingly defenseless.

.....

“Bah! A trophy that is gifted is no trophy at all! A trophy must be earned through blood, effort, and pain from at least one of the parties. I’m going to
Take your forehead protector after I’m done beating you down for it, that is a fact!”

Reaver prided himself, all of his tools collected. He turned to Azumi, all his business seemed to have been concluded.

“Azumi, lets go. I’ve just got an idea for Reaver Mark VII. I want to get back to the rain so I can make this vision a reality.” He spoke dramatically, yet fittingly for his voice

Mori smirked. "Can't wait to see how it turns out. Good luck with getting it to work. Electronics are tricky as anything. The tanto in the shoulder may be used for extra metal if you want, I can get a new one easily. Let our ways part here but come together at a later time in our lives." He said before turning around towards the Land of Earth.

As Emil watched Hinagiku leave, he moved to the spot she was just at but stay on the spectator area “wonder what I should eat for dinner. Chicken? No maybe some ramen perhaps” he sat down and just watched Manda heading towards him “I wonder if he’s going to set them off, or she had to use her chakra to set them off.”

Azumi had kept quite during the exchange between Reaver and his apparent new best friend. While Azumi was not foolish to lump Mori with the other arrogant, malicious and condescending members of the "great" nations but the idea of Reaver becoming friends with a ninja of one that displeased her. Though she kept that hidden as she simply gave a nod to Raver.

"Indeed. You'll need the improvements. Both in and out of the suit. But let's depart, the sooner we leave this war zone the better." Azumi said, before she gave a passing nod to Mori as she prepared for the journey back home as the battle within Konoha continued to intensify. Though in spite of Azumi's wishes, she knew better than to rely on this to finish the nation. No, that responsibility would fall on her own shoulders, and already she began to form a way to change this ninja world for the better...

Azumi's clone listened to Sagiso's words as it remained silent. It was a logical concern, not to get too caught up in the chaos around her as she might get swept up in that violent current and even her clone understood that her friend only had her best interest at heart. Azumi's clone was sure to look Sagiso in the eye before she spoke again.

"I've already done what I needed to do here. Both for the exams and beyond. I won't insert myself in this situation while this chaos goes along. In spite of my feelings of this village that you seem to take some residence in I do wish you the best. Keep yourself and your sister safe." Azumi's clone said, as even if it had been a clone it mirrored Azumi's thoughts on the matter. Even if Reaver was a comrade, Sagiso was the first person Azumi could call a true friend and she simply desired for her to be safe even as a war raged outside. Azumi's clone got up and seemed to begin the process of leaving, but just before it left the door it stopped in place as it glanced back at Sagiso one more time.

"This village will not fall to this. I am certain of that, but things will change. Nations that the great five have stepped on for years will get the respect they deserve and not just be doormats. The Big 5 will no longer have an iron grip over this world and do as they please with people of "lesser" nations with no consequence. I will ensure that much. You may be a Hyuga at birth in this village but you were raised as a Nadeshiko Village kunoichi. Never forget that." Azumi's clone said as she prepared to leave the Hyuga compound.

"Right." Madoka said, as indeed it had not been like her to have such a spirited show of support for anyone. Her time within Konoha clearly had changed her to a degree, though more specifically her time with Yasu & Tomiko had caused her to grow close to them and now that bond caused her to want to ensure their safety and letting Yasu go by himself in the war zone was not a receipt for making that happen. Thankfully Yasu seemed to conceed this point as she gave a nod before herself & Raven followed Yasu as they began their search for their Iwa-nin.

Strong? That was a word Tomiko had not referred to herself as since her battle with Kiro. What was the strength in getting thoroughly dominated by an opponent who had not even tried until the tail end of the battle and left her crippled? What was the power in driving a friend to cripple himself to avenge her because she was too weak to help herself?

Tomiko watched the battle before her as well. Amazed as one of the ANBU seemed to display Earth-style techniques that the Iwa-nin could only dreamed of. That was strength, though the Iwa-nin shook her head and momentarily buried her insecurities as she focused on Kou's question which concerned her mental strength rather than brute force. Something that Tomiko had to think about before she gave the boy on her back an answer. And made her think back to that quote from that man all those years ago.

Why do you keep getting back up?

"Because letting life knock you down and keep you down changes nothing. It only cements your position and there's no hope to make things better. It doesn't matter how hard or how many times you get knocked down, what matters is how many more times you get back up. Those gangs are nothing but bullies...people who pray on the weak because they feel a sick sense of empowerment. It's only when you stand up to them that their truck weakness shines through. It's only when you show you are unafraid and will not back down that inspires others to do the same. And that's how real change is made. Though community, not fear. And that's why I aim to be Tsuchikage. So I can inspire others and help them fight out of hopeless situations life tries to pin them in. If someone like me can rise to the top, then anyone can. I will show that greatest is not given to those blessed but earned and I would dedicate my time as Tsuchikage to giving those people who fate spat on real fighting chance." Tomiko explained, her passion and desire made all to clear with her tone as she balled her hands into fists as she thought back to that Uchiha Kiro that caused her to doubt & question her own resolve since he thrashed her. Tomiko felt that inner fire reignite after being nearly put out in that battle as her resolve showed once more.

And I will show him. Show him that even those who didn't have Kami's benefit at birth can rise to that level. That pure genetics, chance and a fortune path aren't the only factors in strength. I will fight him again...and I will beat him.

No, he doesn't see it. He's too blinded by whatever his pack leader has said to him to understand the impact of his people's actions.

Aisha kept that comment to herself as her gazed focused on Zaku as it seemed he was prepared to blast his own teammate's head off. Something that Kenji, Ino & Sakura noted as they backed up a bit to give Zaku some space and prevent possible blood to spill on them. Ino's face seemed to pale at this as she closed her eyes, seemingly the flower shop worker had a squeamish side to her. Sakura and Kenji looked on as did Luna & Sky as they kept close to Aisha.

"YOU DEMON!" Kushina yelled out, both in shock & fury as Orochimaru....that literal snake dared to attack through her son in such fashion as he literally tore snakes through her son's chest. Kushina was not about to let that vile scum get away with this. Even as snakes bit her Kushina moved her hands together even if they tore the skin of her arms off as she formed hand signs and more of those attacking chains of her came. Their aim was to slice through the snakes that Orochimaru had out. Given Orochimaru's focus seemed to shift to Minato Kushina figured this could be just the opportunity she needed to ripe apart those snakes that Orochimaru produced as Kushina aimed to grab the crying Naruto and would try to pull him towards her away from the monster. Of which she was successful, as Kushina tore through the snakes Orochimaru summoned and grabbed the Edo-Tensei child as she jumped back while both her & her son began to reform parts of themselves. At the very least, it seemed that their child was no longer in its grasp.

Minato in turn finished charging his Rasenshiruken as his Sage Mode transformation was now nearly complete. His eyes took on that unique pupil shape and a shade of orange appeared around them as he decided this was his chance. As Orochimaru seemed to make some preparations of his own, and his focus divided between himself and Kushina, Minato charged forward as he seemed ready to toss the jutsu right at the Sannin.

Woosh!

Only for Minato to appear behind Orochimaru, as he had appeared on the seal spot he placed on the Sannin's back in the early stages of the battle. Minato had avoided exploiting this till the right moment which had come at last as he took one step back to gain some distance before he tossed the Rasenshiruken as he was ready to finish this once and for all.

Mori raised a hand before walking away, the road back to Iwa was long and gave him enough time to think. He knew that he wanted to become a well known and strong ninja for his village, but how was he going to help his village after ranking up enough? Just killing any attackers didn't feel like it was enough, he would need to find a way to make the living conditions of everyone better and give them equal chances. The slums of Iwa are far from nice yet the current Tsuchikage didn't seem to do anything about it.

After a while of pondering, Mori came to two conclusions. One, he would become the Tsuchikage's advisor as he knew the village like the back of his hand so he could tell the Tsuchikage which parts of the village needed to improve. This would also allow him to propose any peace treaties with other countries to the Tsuchikage, Ame sticking out to him. Their ninja seemed to be very capable and as far as he knew, Ame was a village constantly caught in the crossfire of wars. Surely an alliance would give them some protection, right?

Two, if he could not become an advisor, he would become a genin sensei. It sure was a far cry from a life on the front lines, but it might even be better for the village. If he could train genin to be strong enough to survive on their own and become chuunin, regardless of genetics, bloodline or if they could or could not preform Ninjutsu or Genjutsu, he could give children from the less civilized areas of Iwa a feeling like they were not useless and they could do anything as long as they want it enough and are willing to train for it. This way he could help the village grow and prosper in the background. "No one has the right to say that the people in the slums are worthless and nothing compared to the big and powerful families. He would show everyone that hard work, preserverance and an unmovable will are just as, if not more important than heritage."
