Jirobo was surprised yet again. Taiyo seemed to focus all of his chakra out of his body in an instant. What is this chakra? The giant boulder he had sent toward Taiyo was interrupted by a single, sleek strike. It was like a bullet, the fireball shot straight through the hurtling boulder. The boulder was sniped, a hole showing where the fireball had went through. Suddenly, when the boulder was going to crush them, it exploded before it could in a radiant blue Chakra explosion. The display was awe inspiring, even to Jirobo as he landed back to the ground. He can’t have more of those in him could he? If he does then a goner!

Upon closer inspection, taiyo’s Glowing radiance he had displayed before seemed to have vanished entirely. It seemed as if the attack has cost the genin all his Chakra. Jirobo snugged in relief at his lucky break. He didn’t have the chakra he wanted to use the earth style dumpling move again. He had to settle for more...’Direct’ methods.

He stomped on the ground, an earth wall rising. He stomped again as it was uprooted from the ground. He grabbed the large wall and hoisted it over his head. He then began sprinting toward the pair of leaf ninja with his new weapon

“Splatter!”

He jumped before shoving the earth barrier down upon them. He looked to take advantage of Taiyo’s weakened state and smash one of the genin, or if lucky both.

Shura and Shiho each clenceh their hands together, the bubble tornado would then start to compress. The bubbles would simultaneously explode, leading to many pressurized water impacts all over Sakon and Ukon's body while the tornado compressed the area around them. Shura would then look towards Tama. "Tama!" He shouted. Tama put his arms together. "I know!" He responded before making hang a few signs. "Water Style: Liquid Bullet!" He shouted before shooting a water ball at Sakon and Ukon from his mouth.

Sakon took the brunt of the bubbles, his hardened skin helping damped it’s effects, although not by much. Blisters broke out everywhere on his skin.

“Ngh! Agh! Damn you...!”

The tornado and bubbles slowly ceased as the turtle came to shoot a water bullet at them. Sakon closed his fist, Ukon’s fists closing as well from his back. In a fit of rage, the both of them punched the water bullet head on, smashing it into little droplets.

“That’s enough!” The brothers said in unison. “We are the leaders of this group, and we refuse to fall to simple pests like you two! You’ll die here, we’ll make mincemeat of you!”

Sakon lunged at the tortoise, having enough of seeing the reptile in his sight. He would shatter the animal, as titles weren’t exactly known for their speed. After it shot its bullet attack, it was no doubt vulnerable. Ukon, now facing the two siblings grabbed the scroll on sakon’s back. Instead of simply activating one of the deals written on the scroll he cst several handisgns before activating ALL of the seals at one time!

“Take these!”

He tossed the entire scroll down at them. The scroll unfolded in the air and bloomed darkly overhead. Dozens of seals were displayed on it like it was satanic, scribbled in dark red. All of the seals vanished from the pages and displayed all around the combat zone. One of the sprawling seals placed directly under Shura and Shiho boomed with a hellish gong before firing a pillar of molten lava at them, the seal seeming to crack and shatter apart after use. They were going all out!

Tama saw Sakon lunge towards him. "Crap, he's coming in fast and I don't have time to weave another sign." He thought as he managed to cross his arms in front of him. He was hit by the full force of Sakon's Punch and was send sliding back and fell on one knee. His arms shook form the force. "His punches are strong and he's no simple brute, this is truly a troublesome opponent." He then weaved a few hang signs. "But Im not done yet!" He said bfore stomping the ground. "Wind Style: Rising Gale!" He shouted as pillars of wind rose up in a wave towards Sakon.

Shiho put her hands together when the seal appeared below her and her brother. "Bubble shield!" She shouted as a bubble appeared around Shura and Shiho. The bubble would pop when the lava hit it and send Shura and Shiho flying to the side with its pop impact. After avoiding the laval seal, Shura looked around for the rest of the seals Ukon threw at them.

Sagisō

Tired as she might've been, the Nadeshiko flower knew better than to assume her enemies would allow her to take a break, or even let up on her if she seemed tired. More likely, the more ferocious she was the more hesitant they'd be to engage with her. Taking a deep breath, Sagisō's body stilled, and the aura around her body became sharper, fiercer, and more feral. The chūnin exams might've been a game, and this side mission might've been a grace offered to a kindred spirit on a whim, but at this point, Sagisō was done playing, done running with her whims.

Swiveling on her dominant leg, and bending slightly at the knee, Sagisō seemed to limbo right beneath the arrow as it whizzed past her neck. Although her byakugan wasn't active, her bloodlust was better conveyed through the blood-colored pupils floating in the whites of her sclera. "I'll tip you off now, but we'd long sent out a signal for reinforcements if you stay here too long, the hunters might just become the hunted..." Her voice was chillingly apathetic, and as she flexed her wrists and octuple of threaded kunai appeared between her fingers.

Her fingers flicked, and eight flashes of silver-black steel pierced into eight different sections of the silky spider threads draped over the surroundings. The wire threads were rather short and hung down merely a few inches below where each kunai had embedded itself. Attached to each kunai, via the wire, were extra large smoke bombs that seemed to have been punctured; they slowly released their contents, creating a situation much like natural fog where the smoke slowly accumulated over time. The smoke, however, was thicker than fog would've been. At the moment, the smoke drifted in wispy coils across the ground, blanketing it in a short cloud of smoke. Next, Sagisō withdrew 4 senbons with her left arm which were attached to smoke bombs in the same way as her kunai. She flicked the steel needles into the air, allowing them to pin themselves to sections of the webbing that had higher altitude. In her right arm, she'd withdrawn two kunai with explosive tags. She threw one at Kidomaru, and flicked the remaining one into the air as hard as she could. "Pay attention now~"

Although the words might've seemed out of place, she was actually addressing her teammate, Takato. After she'd completed 'setting up' she dropped down low, disappearing into the low-lying smoke. She half-crouched, half-crawled as she shimmied around the battlefield picking up some of the kunai she'd scattered when she'd first arrived. Although she didn't expect her teammate to understand immediately, Takato was a Nara, and after seeing it once he'd pick up on it quickly. When the sky-bound smoke bomb exploded, the smoke and debris it created would cast a shadow over the smoke which was currently roiling around the battlefield. This current attempt was merely so that her teammate could, hopefully, take note of the shadow that formed during that brief moment, and prepare himself for another attempt. Meanwhile, she would try to herd Kidomaru towards a more suitable spot for their assault, while keeping him busy with a rain of ninja tools. This assault was rather risky though, as Sagisō wasn't even sure casting a shadow upon a cloud was even possible. She figured the smoke was thick enough for it, but only time would tell if this was a viable strategy. On the bright side, the idea was so ludicrous that Kidomaru might not even see it coming.

Though, on the off-chance that Kidomaru also took her words seriously and managed noticed the shadow formed upon the clouds at that moment, she'd sent another kunai plus paper bomb combo to distract him.

Tomiko had been about to explain her situation with Kiro to Mori. But she had been unable to get a word out before she saw Yasu as he took action and launched an attack at Zaku.

Shit! What did that idiot do!?

If we survive this I'll kill this guy myself!

Seemed that Yasu's action had not been lost on the others, as Sakura and her own internal voice cursed Yasu had on impulse exposed them to Zaku. Now they had to scramble over what to do. Since Zaku seemed to know it was Yaus, they could not afford to simply lie low and pretend they were not there as it would only either give the pair a chance to escape or worse strike back against them. Neither of which were pleasant options as they had to scramble here and now. A direct fight had not been the mission any of them had been given, but the inevitability of it seemed high as already Aisha had Luna & Sky transform into man-beast clones before she herself transformed into one. Sakura also had a hand sign drawn and Madoka had Raven at the ready as they seemed ready to jump out and attack Zaku & Kiro. Tomiko herself tightened her gauntlets as she moved over by Yasu and motioned for Mori to follow her.

But Kenji did not want a full on fight, even with a numbers advantage there was always a risk. What they needed was to get Zaku & Kiro to back down and cooperate without fleeing to get help. And Kenji had an idea to try and salvage the situation as she turned to Yasu.

"All right. I need you to calm down for now. We may have no choice but the fight, so be ready. But I have an idea that might get us out of this mess you caused. Though if nothing else, humor me and consider it a distraction." Kenji explained to Yasu before he moved over to Sakura and whispered in her ear. Sakura gave a nod as she prepared a genjutsu that would simulate the sounds of moment in the trees around Zaku & Kiro and cause the pair to see black blurs that appeared to dash through them as she focused her Genjutsu on them.

Kenji himself used a transformation jutsu and assumed the appearance of Yasu before he jumped down and revealed himself to Kiro & Zaku. Aisha & Madoka seemed combat ready at a moment's notice as they along with Tomiko observed.

"Seems you are as friendly as ever. But trust me when I tell you that you don't want to push me. You two are outnumbered. But I don't want to fight, so if you two comply nobody has to get hurt." "Yasu" offered as clearly he referenced the illusion blurs around the trees produced by Sakura's genjutsu as he tried to bluff the pair to stand down. Though he was prepared to signal for the two teams to jump the pair of they tried to flee or launch an attack.

Tomiko meanwhile kept her eye on the kid Kou, and shifted back to Yasu. Knowing he could likely instigate a fight. Though in her view, even with Kenji's effort, Tomiko figured that was inevitable.

----------
The two Doki felt parts of their skin cut off by the blades of the ice drones as Tayuya was quick to act. Playing a new melody which caused the Doki to jump back to gain some distance from the drones. Though in spite of the blood that dripped from the wounds, they seemed no worse for the wear. No verbal response, no cry of pain...nothing. There was damage, but they simple didn't seem to feel any pain at all and their expressionless features only added to the creepy atmosphere about them.

Before Tayuya could have given new commands, she felt something move near her leg. Tayuya glanced down as she caught the glimpse of a pair of ice centipedes as they tried to grasped around her body with their sharp barbs.

Tried, being the operative word as Tayuya used the boost granted by the curse mark to vanish as she moved at blinding speeds to another tree away from the centipedes. Though as a drop of blood hit her branch, it appeared she was half a second slow in her discover of them to prevent one of them from cutting her heel a little. Though Tayuya masked that as she eyed Kai with that ever present sneer.

"Kami do you ever shut up? I've heard you mention this Xeno crap only twice and already you are making me want to rip my ears off. Let's see how "superior" you think you still are when I am finished with you! I don't think anyone is gonna respect a corpse, and I've got just the melody to show to you..." Tayuya said as she moved her flute to her lips and began to play a new twisted tune.

"Ninth Passage: Demon Revolution!"

The Doki by Kai did not charge as it did before. No, instead its mouth which seemed to have been sown shut was ripped open as stitches flew through the air. Once the demon opened its mouth a strange spectral worm appeared from it that seemed to bear no eyes and was covered with multiple mouths along its body with razor sharp teeth. Immediatly this ghost charged Kai as it opened its jaws eager to take a bite from the Kiri-nin. Though Tayuya desired not to tear off his flesh, rather the worm aimed to feed off the physical energy it was attracted to and in essence absorb part of their life force should those teeth make contact.

Though Tayuya was not one to leave her other Doki hanging, as she played a second song for them as one of the Doki sliced another tree down and the other grabbed it to toss as the ice drones. The aim with this was to use the force of the tree to knock some of the drones into the other drones blades and in effect have them slice each other. They repeated this tactic with a second tree before they themselves charged the ice drones eager to battle the army as their goal was to slice or smash as many of them as they could with their clubs and retractable claws respectively.

Takato watched as once more Sagiso went to work as she seemed to display a new move for Kidomaru and even dared him to follow along. Though that seemed odd, as was Sagiso's move as it generated a large smoke cloud that was thicker than the last one before she crouched down to hide within the smoke.

Takato mirrored this action, as he had to move to avoid the attempt to strike his chest with the arrows. Kidomaru's guessed seemed correct, as he needed his hands clasped together to manipulate the shadow stitches and as such he was forced to call them back for the time being. Takato's options were limited, though he was more curious about what Sagiso was trying to do as it appeared form his view all she was doing as she just seemed to be spamming projectiles at Kidomaru using the smoke as cover. This seemed...incredibly basic, too basic for someone of Sagiso's wit given what he had seen of her from the finals.

It was only then he began to take note of the shadow that began to form from the cloud of smoke. Takato had to admit he didn't think that something like that was even possible but then this got him thinking. A cloud of smoke that cast a large shadow, Sagiso using projectiles that would force Kidomaru to block or move positions to dodge. Could this be part of her plan?

As Takato tried to figure it out, and possible had began to catch on, he pulled a pair of weapons from his pouch. Chakra Blades, though he refrained from full use as he tossed shiruken at the spiders while he kept low and kept his eyes on Kidomaru as he figured Sagiso had something up her sleeve and trusted him to figure it out. So he had to work his brain to get the details, and he felt he might have been on the right direction...

"For Kami's sake Yasu, does that pipe guy piss you off enough to try and kill him?" Mori sighed as he grabbed his tanto and was ready to attack if needed to, although that Oto-nin along with an Uchiha was not by definition his favorite combination of enemies.

"Why is that Uchiha there? Did he betray his village to get that stick out of his arse in Oto? And that kid, why is he with them? I am not saying that the Great Five never attacked other villages, but what can Oto give him that they can't?" He spoke his thoughts even though he did not expect to get an answer any time soon.

Mori grunted in disapproval. "That Uchiha rubs me the wrong way, and not just because he presumably defected. I would be honored to force my tanto between his ribs and carve his fancy eyes out."

He had a huge hatred against the Sharingan as the Uchiha seemed to think that they were better than the rest with those eyes. The Hyūga had the Byakugan, but they did not flaunt with the thing and did not underestimate their opponents even though most of them would be terrified to go up against it, himself included. As much as he hated the Sharingan, he feared it just as much as he feared the Byakugan. Those blood red eyes were a part of many nightmares after his father told him about the power of them that he witnessed personally in the war. He would need to focus on the feet of the Uchiha to prevent being paralysed with fear.

"Stop that, you'll just break yourself down this way!" Mori shook his head as a shiver ran down his spine. "I hope that this does not take too long."

Kidomaru snickered as Sagiso tried to cut the spider web with her kunai, only for it to be stuck in the web. Hehehehe, she can’t possibly believe THAT would work! These threads are thicker than steel, two elephants couldn’t break them apart if they pulled them in opposite directions! Kikdomaru saw the last ditch attempt to attack him with a few kunai and explosive tags thrown at him. Kidomaru dropped the bows he had woven, going to defend himself for now. He shot out web toward the few explosive tags, wrapping them up in a nice little bag of web, before they detonated.

The other kunai kept heading toward him. He simply held three of his hands toward the projectiles as a thick coat of yellow plates covers him. The kunai hit the protective covering he had before it shattered by his command, Kidomaru still unharmed throughout the battle.

“Hehehe, honestly hyuga, you’d disappoint me!” Kidomaru cackled. “You seemed entertaining at first, but your no better than shadow fool here. And I was really looking forward to fight someone of actual intelligence. Pity, better get this over with.”

Kidomaru seemed to grow a third eye on his forehead as his skin grew a deep red. Several barbs appeared on his shoulders as a twin horns emerged from his head. His hair became a ghastly White and grew out to bushy, monstrous proportions. Sharp teeth grew out of him as he resembled his summons ever more. Curse mark stage two had been activated.

He opened his mouth, a long rod extending out of it. The rod was thick, metallic, and had a spiral tip to it. It was a much deadlier arrow one could tell by just a glance. He picked up the bow he had dropped earlier and threaded the arrow into the bow. He pulled back the bow with two of his hands and kept it stationary with two others. His two final hands kept him suspended in the air by threads as he lined up his shot.

“Spider bow: fierce rip!”

He Let go the powerful arrow, as it ripped through the sky like a thousand birds. With how he trapped them in a tight space facing the spiders, mother spider, along with the web that had caught he kunai in place Sagiso was holding, they were easy prey with little to go. Even if the arrow were to miss, it would explode violently on impact, creating a massive crater equivalent to 3/4 of their total area. He had weaved a web of demise, and they stepped right into it.

“Wind style rising Gale!”

A pillar of wind came at Sakon, his braced himself as he took the brunt of the tornado, lacerations appearing around his body. It was in full swing when’s a Sakon flashed open his eyes.

“I won’t fall for this! Not again! Multiple kicks whirlwind!”

Sakon produced a single tornado that helped counter and finally put an end to the wind assaulting him. His look of pure hatred slowly turn into one of grosteque satisfaction. He just realized one of the seals had been placed at the feet of the turtle, who had just hunkered down.

“Hehe...time to end your interference you old fossil!”

The seal became promkemant under the title, sprawling out. Long strands of kanji floated off the ground into the area around where it stood. It was a retraining seal, meant to stop edo tensei, genjustu...and summons. It began to glow and sine it’s light all over the turtle, trying to banish back to the hell whence it came.

Meanwhile, after shiho and Shura landed from the previously used lava seal, three more seals activated upon their proximity. Two of them were placed on trees, so they were facing at them at an angle while another was nearby their landing spot sprawled on the ground. The two on the trees shot out powerful streams of lightning and acid respectively, meanwhile the seal they were on was a genjustu seal, production a genjustu once they activated the proximity trigger. The genjustu made it seem like the seals of lightning and acids were all around them, like the land was filled with the seals with not escape of hope of survival.

..................

“What in the HELL are those?!?”

Kai staggered, watching the bizzaro worm ghosts slime I’ve toward him. They seemed like they were creatures of the vast unknown, clawing into this reality to claim the souls of the living. Kai ordered a ice drone to stand in front of him to take the hit from one of the worms. It seemed as though the worm phased right THROUGH it without any difficulty! It continued on it’s trajectory, hitting Kai across his shoulder and a part of his right side, sapping chakra straight trhough him. He cringed, his body going into full alarm mode. I’ve got to get out of this...!

“Omega VII!”

Since it phased through the ice drone, he grabbed onto it’s long arm blades, as it ripped him away from the hungry spirit. He had lost some chakra to the beast and his side tingled with the lost of not only chakra strength but physical strength from that side of his body, so he had to favor his left side for now.

He witness trees fall and smash some of his drones into inrecoverable shards of debris. He shook his head as he realized he’d have to intact his plan dinner before he could perfect it. But he had already lost a lot of feeling in one arm, so finishing it off couldn’t hurt... he laced both of his hands together, his weak one twitching.

“Forbidden Justu! Organic Freeze!”

His twitching arm became completely limp as a powerful sound of snow and ice seemed to rage across, trying to freeze over and crush and surface with open wounds or liquids of any kind exposed to outer elements. His plan was unfolding, the hammer and blade Doki’s were freshly covered with fresh wounds, they had been fully terraformed for the perfect targets of the Forbidden justu!

Ice began to freeze their blood and press down on them, unhealthy cracks in their bodies heard as the ice had a conduit to get to their insides, freezing system after system, flesh after flesh as they spelled their certain frozen death over he ogres. The one with tied arms had been the least damaged, but had blood coming from it’s face from where he hit it before, the blood freezing as it began to crawl the frozen peril along it’s face...where the powerful soul eating jutsu was being casted! Tayuya’s army would soon fall apart.

Tayuya herself wasn’t safe either, as if she had any wound it would try to do the same, with 100% accuracy. Even her saliva and liquid covered eyes would not be safe from the Forbidden justu. After the Forbidden jutsu was declared, the ice that seemed to chill across the battlefield started to restore some of the drones that had been smashed, albeit slowly. Kai’s master plan had officially concluded.

“Your army is in shambles, your tactics failing, even your body will fail you, give in Xeno or you shall bear the full might of the Yuki clan!”

..........

Zaku was surprised Yasu was this bold. He didn’t have anything to fear from him, as now he had beaten him three times in a row. Yasu has no force that he couldn’t stop. But when Yasu mentioned an army, a sound of footsteps littered the trees.

“Huh...?”

The footsteps...he wasn’t bluffing! Was his same team the one that caused that smoke cloud at the sound four? Could they have already of beaten them?! Just how many forces to they have?!? This is bad, he’s just the messenger. The army is behind them!

Kiro, buddy.” He whispered to the Uchiha. “They are surrounding us, we can’t win this two on fifty.”

Zaku felt a tinge of anger and spite as Yasu seemed to be confident, even though he has lost three times. He had the upper hand in numbers for now...if only Kabuto sensei were here. Meanwhile Kou, recognizing the situation at hand, slicked his hair back and approached Yasu.

“Yasu right? I am willing to pay you one gold keychain at settlement for you to leave Mr. Abumi alone, does this sound like a reasonable offer?”

Kou remained calm, speaking like a lawyer as he tried to defend his boss in the most reasonable way he could: legally. Which Zaku just looked at him with a cocked quizzical look, both dissapoined, surpised, and a bit curious

Tama stared at Sakon before seeing the seal below him activate. "No." He said as he found himself unable to move. "Darn it! I was careless. Sorry Shura but I can't help you anymore." He said as he was sent back.

Over where Shura and Shiho were, Shura noticed Tama going away. "Crap, Tama was sent back." He thought before facing the seals laid out against them. Seeing the genjustsu activate, Shura activated his Byakugan and saw through is, Shiho did the same. Shura would weave a few hand signs before looking at the lightning. "Air Bullets!" Shura shot a series of air bullets that held back the lightning and destroyed the seal. He saw the smoke created by Sagiso before turning to Shiho. "Hold that acid for a bit, I'll be right back." He said before dashing away. "Hold that acid?" Shiho said with widened eyes. She would then weave hand signs and create a wall of bubbles. "Bubble wall!" When the acid destroyed the first layer of bubbles, another layer would be created in the back and keep the acid away. Shura ran towards Ukon while weaving hand signs. "Storm Wall!" A gust of wind would then fly towards Ukon, but attacking him wasn't the main focus as the wind would reach a part of the smoke cloud Sagiso created. Shura clenched his hands as the wind shifted direction and went back towards Ukon while bringing a bit of the smoke cloud with it, the could would block Ukon's vision. Shura would then deploy his chain and throw the weight end towards Ukon to wrap it around him once his vision was blocked. Shura would pull Ukon back towards the acid seal and then swing him through the layers of bubble and into the acid, even if he deactivated the acid, he would still be thrown onto a tree with great force.

Ukon was immediately swamped with smoke. His sight of the two sibling was broken, as he began coughing in the cloud of gasses. He didn’t have much time to speak before a chain was wrapped around his stomach.

“Ehh?”

With a tank, he was brought from the air in the tornado toward to stream of acid one of his seals had created. He yelled as he was being sent right for them.

“Sakon! Sakon you fool! Get me outta here!!!!”

Sakon, who has been ignored by Shura and Shiho, dove in for the rescue, his dense scaled left hand swooping in and shattering the chains that tugged on his twin. Ukon, free off the chains dragging him, but not of the ones binding him. Ukon yelled as he got a face full of dirt, skiddinga cross the ground. He growled, yanking his face from the ground, Sakon slicing off the rest of his restraints.

“You have some nerve, using my own seal against me!” Ukon flamed.

“Calm down brother, we’ve still got a plan-“

“Screw the plan! These bitches are dying!”

Ukon, defying their plan, made a few handseals, expending a ton of chakra. He sliced as the trees surrounding them, similarly to how hey did to usher them near the crevice before, but this time once all the trees were cut, they were thrown toward the two, seals becoming apparent on all of them. The rest of the seals were located on the trees! Ukon yelled in pure hatred while his brother stepped back slightly.

“Simultaneous fists barrage!!”

His curse mark began to recede as he finished this moved, all the seals on the trees glowing a satanic red as he closed in the gates of hell on their enemy. They exploded in a fantastic fashion, a flurry of magma, air, explosives, water, and lightning all shapes and forms, incinerating the trees on contact. Ukon cackled madly at the sight, beholding the ungodly sight of pure destruction

“At last! The punks are dead! Burn in Hell you leaf cowards!!! Hahahaha!!!”

Seeing the incoming assault, Shura tensed himself. "Shiho, pass me some chakra." He said. His sister obeyed and put arms out to her brother, passing him chakra. Shura coated his arms in chakra as he took a stance. "We won't be the ones burning today. Eight Trigrams Revolving Heaven!" He shouted as he begun spinning while releasing a huge amount of chakra around him and created a rotating shield around him and Shiho. The shield would catch all the incoming attack in its rotation and spin all of them upwards into the air with the wind chakra Shura added to it. Once all the incoming attacks have been deflected, Shura stopped and breathed heavily. "So now that all your seals are gone, how about you come face us 'leaf cowards' without hiding huh." Shura said with a taunting tone as Shiho was preparing a jutsu behind him. "Water Style: Wave Crash!" Shiho sent a water wave crashing towards the brothers.

‘Should’ve figured.’ Looking in the direction where the feather dart was thrown from, Kiro watched as ‘Yasu’ emerged from the trees and landed before them. If Kiro remembered correctly, Zaku had a little rivalry with Yasu. ‘This will be interesting.’ Kiro thought to himself as he noticed black blurs moving through the trees. As ‘Yasu’ spoke, Kiro took the time to assess the situation.

Clearly they were surrounded, heavily outnumbered. The goal was too get Orochimaru back to the Sound but now that ‘Yasu’ had intentionally revealed himself, then there would definitely be a fight about to break out. ‘Wait, that doesn’t make sense.’ Something about the offer ‘Yasu’ made rubbed Kiro the wrong way. Just a few seconds ago, he had literally just tried to assasinate Zaku. And now he was saying that he didn’t want to fight. Attempting murder then asking for peace right after didn’t go together. Especially for someone like Yasu, who was probably hell bent on killing Zaku, would be unlikely to come to terms so simply. Sure it was possible, but there had to be something else he was missing.

“They are surrounding us, we can’t win this two on fifty.”

Those words that Zaku had just said suddenly caused Kiro too rethink his assessment. ‘Maybe I’m looking at this the wrong way.’ Instead of focusing on Yasu’s own personal motives, Kiro put his focus on the ‘reinforcements’ swiftly moving around in the trees. The more he focused on the sounds of movement in the trees as well as the black blurs, he began to notice a disturbance...

Kiro clenched his fists in disgust at the thought of them trying genjutsu when his sharingan was clearly active. What type of fool did they think he was? Was his loss to Azumi so brutal that they believed he was some idiot, such a fool that he wouldn’t be able to notice a genjutsu when he had a literal counter to it already active? The disrespect towards his own skills as a ninja seemed so clear and it pissed him off.

Careful to not let his frustration completely burst out, Kiro instead listened too Kou’s counter offer. The golden keychain would be worth quite a fortune and was probably what Kou was banking on too keep himself fed. It was a deal that Kiro would be interested, too start getting some big money at this age would be a success in his books. It would definitely be easier than becoming a bounty hunter. Either way, the amount of respect the boy had for Zaku was admirable.

Speaking up now, Kiro decided to add a bonus to this deal. “Take the boy’s offer and I’ll add the rabbit in it as well.” Kiro offered, still a bit hesitant on giving away such a prized possession. It was rare to find such rabbit, especially a white one so chubby. It should be enough to keep a group of people full for atleast a few days. “Also, if you knew about the sharingan, then you would know simple tactics such as the one you’re pulling right now won’t work.” Kiro referred to the genjutsu, hoping Zaku would also realize. “Besides, quality is better than quantity.” Kiro said with slight grin forming afterwards, calling the bluff.

"Yasu" could not believe this, the bluff was actually working! Seems Sakura's Genjutsu was more effective than he could have guessed as it seemed Zaku was nervous over the prospect of fighting "this army" which worked to their favor. The boy who had been with Zaku moved forward and seemed to make a bargain offer of an admittedly valuable item. Which only was "added" by the white rabbit that Kiro had hunted. Though that had not been their mission as "Yasu" knew had had to address this.

"I appreciate the effort kid. And Kiro, but it is unnecessary. Really we just want information, nobody needs to get hurt." "Yasu" explained but that earlier good feeling was soon evaporated as the Uchiha called their bluff. Kenji frowned, as he had hoped Kiro would not have taken that initiative or that he'd have been distracting enough on his own to not cause those crimson eyes to wander. "Yasu" let out a sigh as he knew that with the bluff called there was no incentive to hide their hand.

Well, not totally anyway.

"Yasu" made a motion for people behind him to come out. Though one thing he had whispered to Sakura before she cast her Genjutsu that if she saw the signal he had been making now to go to Tomiko's trio. Which she did as she whispered to Tomiko, Mori & Yasu.

"Stay hidden for now. If it ends up getting dicey jump in for backup. I'll give a signal for when we need you to jump. Just try to keep your emotions contained." Sakura said, casting a glance to Yasu in particular before she turned to Aisha & Madoka as she gave a nod to them before the trio jumped out and moved by Kenji. Who oped to remain as "Yasu" given Zaku seemed to have a low opinion of him and the fact that they'd have an expectation for what he could do so if a fight was needed he could surprise them.

"All right, seems you are as annoying sharp as before. Though I wasn't lying when I said you were outnumbered." "Yasu" said as he, Madoka with Raven, Sakura and Aisha with Luna & Sky in their man-beast forms eyed Zaku & Kiro. Sakura dispelled the Genjutsu though Tomiko, Yasu & Mori remained hidden in place as now that the cards had been seemingly laid out there would have been no reason to suspect them.

"Like I said, despite everything, we don't want to fight. We want to just talk. You have information that can be of great benefit." "Yasu" explained to the pair as Tomiko watched from a distance, hoping that if nothing else the kid would not get caught in the crossfire as the air became tense to have said the very least.

Indeed, Tayuya cursed as her Doki particular the clubbed one and the one with the retractable blades began to feel their bodies freeze on them. Though the Doki with its arm facial wound caused the ice to close in on its mouth which tried to cut off the spirit off as Tayuya also felt the ice freeze around her own leg. Tayuya grit her teeth as things appeared to be going south, she was feeling a certain sense of dredd. Of humilation that some no-name Kiri brat was getting the best of her.

Tayuya felt small, felt weak as the ice spread through her and her summons. Just like that little girl all those years ago. A bitter memory that caused her Curse Mark to flare and glow as it began to spread again.

Fuck this ice shit! I won't let him humiliate me like this, I won't let him do this to me!

Tayuya yelled out as her chakra began to explode all around her. Her skin began to shift brown and horns began to appear on her head. This tore her cap to pieces which allowed her flowing red hair to drop down. Her eyes shifted to that demonic yellow as soon enough she entered her Second Stage.

The increased chakra brought with it an added warmth through her body as she focused some of it to her legs as she tried to "push" the ice off of her freezing blood as the sheer force of her increased chakra as it forced the ice out of her wounds before she brought her flute to her lips as she began to play a new tune.

The spirit that the Doki with its arms covered moved towards the frozen sections of blood as it began to drip this unusual saliva onto the frozen bits, This liquid substance began to break down the foreign ice into raw chakra at which point the foreign spirits began to feed off of it which in turn slowly began to counter the ice.

Tayuya continued their tune as the one Doki began to regain some mobility before the moved back over to Tayuya as they faced Kai and the reforming ice army as she glared daggers through the Kiri-nin. Though the same could not be said for the other two Doki, as Tayuya was forced to recall them in order to save their lives as they were too frozen for the Doki's spirits to help out. She'd have to tend to them at another time as she resumed focus on Kai.

"Are you so certain about that? Don't get cocky you frosty fuck. Like I said before, you have no idea what you are dealing with little man..." Tayuya said as she began to play a new tune, though this one had not been to move the Doki.

This was a Genjutsu, but given Tayuya had shifted into her second stage, it was not one Kai had experienced before.

The sky turned blood red, the tree beneath Kiro seemed to turn into bones as before Kai had much time to process that these worms without eyes emerged from the bone branch and aimed to wrap themselves around the Kiri nin. It all seemed fantastical, there was no way it could be real.

But, this demonic kunoichi seemed to do just that. It felt real, and the worms aimed to wrap up an immobilize Kai in place as she continued her nightmare melody.

----------
"Shadow Possession Jutsu!"

The giant spider Kidomaru had yet to recall dropped down seemingly on an impulse as it moved between the high speed arrow and Sagiso. The spider, with its shadow latched by Takato's own, used one of its appendages to try and knock Sagiso into the air and away from the impact area just as the arrow sliced through the spider as its guts spilled before a violent shockwave passed the area when the arrow struck the area behind the spider.

A shockwave which struck Takato, even as he moved as far as he could have. Which showed the power of the arrow as Takato coughed a bit with some blood dripping from his lips as he struggled to get up.

Though his hands remained in formation, as he had finally figured what Sagios had in mind as he extended his shadow through the shadow cloud above. He then used the kunai that Sagiso had tossed towards Kidomaru combined with Kidomaru's own threads to guide his shadow sickles towards their target. Soon enough the sickles jumped towards Kidomaru as Takato aimed to strike him all at once from as many angles as he could.

I've got you!

----------
As Azumi inspected the scene before her, she began to hear faint sounds in the distance; towards a nearby area where it seemed some discussion was being made or at least people were speaking to each other.

Though this was a mere guess on her part, it did confirm that there were others here. Others that were close, and Azumi decided to go see who it was. Even if only but a peek as she had no desire to stick around much longer, but knowing of possible people nearby who could be tailing them had been of the upmost importance as she motioned for Reaver to follow her.

Taiyo
Raiku seeing Taiyo about to get crushed by the boulder jumped and knocked him out of the way while seemingly getting crushed.
"Raiku!!!" The Leaf-nin attempted to reach put to Raiku's hand to try and pull him away, but sadly, he was too late and it seemed that Raiku had fought his last. Tears flowed down Taiyo's face, the Uchiha was his closest friend in the exam, and now, he seemed to die, and this, this event is what triggered something in Taiyo, something deep had snapped, and now Taiyo was our for blood.
"YOU BASTARD! YOUR GOING TO PAY FOR THAT IN BLOOD!" Taiyo ran towards Jirobo at full speed, a kunai in his right hand, he lacked a full semblance of s plan, but right now, all he could see was red, specifically red created from the blood of Jirobo, curse marks no longer mattered, and thought seemed to have discontinued in that moment, Taiyo had lost it.

Sakon internally cursed as his temperamental brother went out on his own and caused a Hell storm. Ukon laughing maniacally as his power of all his seals kicked in, but started to fly into the air. It seemed all too familiar. ...! The runts are doing the same trick with our explosion seal, funneling it up!

Ukon dove back, landing inside Sakon to heal. Sakon shook his head as his now, curse mark free brother resided in him once more. They needed a long talk once this was all over. Sakon, noticing the same thing as ukon, he checked his surroundings, one thing in particular sticking out in comparison to everything else. He laughed at what the enemy genin said about facing ‘leaf cowards’.

“Personally, I don’t care if you are a coward or not.” Sakon smirked. “You all did just the same.”

He outstretched his arms, seeming ready to be hit by the incoming attack. That is before he fell backwards, into a crevice that had long since expanded by the rashomon. The water blasts washed above him as he landed safely on the rashomon platform he had created. This managed to waste his enemy’s chakra as well as provide some decent cover.

“Well then? Why don’t you come and play?”

..........

Jirobo openely laughed as he saw to smother Raiku beneath the rock wall plate he made. His laughs being heard through the battlefield. These laughs however seem to trigger something inside Taiyo. Lacking both a plan and chakra, Taiyo ran at the big lug, hoping to stab him with a kunai. ‘Hope’ being the key word. Jirobo effortlessly grabbed the kunai mid stab, his hand crushing the metal of the kunai with ease.

“Now THAT was a dumb move kid.”

Jirobo’s curse mark form faded as he stared down an enraged Taiyo, eye to eye with no regret for what he has done. He picked up a piece of the ground, about a foot in size and was going to use his superior strength to smash in the grieving genin’s skull.

..........

Kidomaru was surprised as blood spattered everywhere, a big boom happening as a high pitched screech was silenced. As the dust settled, it was revealed that his beloved spider had been slaughtered...by his own hand. He was taken aback, not quite sure what had just happened.

“Lakani? Why did you-“

In an instant, his entire body felt a similar sensation to what he had felt before in the plains: paralysis. He couldn’t move his body, the shadow possession justu taking a hold of his body. Kidomarucoukd barkey moves his eyes to connect with Takato’s, who was looking back at his three.

“....but....how?” His strained voice demanded.

........

Kai made a victories yell as two of the doki’s Were taken out of the battle and the third one was injured. He was wining the fight alone against the higher ranked woman before him. The tides of war were turning indeed...that is...until the kunoichi shifted into a demonic form, taking out her flute once more

Losing the feeling in one arm, he only had that one to work with. The world shifted around him, the world becoming what he saw as the worst future the earth could take. The bone tree felt like it had thorns on every inch of it, organic fleshy proms wrapping around his arms and legs as their fleshy bodies suckled him like leeches. The they tugged in his body, skidding his back across the thorny tree. Left and right, left and right, pain, pain.

“What....is this....?”

As he saw his numb arm begin to melt and wither away from the leeches, the mist ninja began to panic. His breathing increased as his struggled in place in this shadow world, all to no avail.

“Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!”

......
Zaku heard the sounds of the steps fading as the genjustu was despelled. His listened intently to both sides talking. He laughed nervously and Cooley as they revealed the origins of the sounds.

“Heh...of course. Of course it was genjustu, what else would it be?” Zaku said faking the funk. “Your genjustu was so lame, I saw through it immediately. Don’t use those justu of the past on me, or don’t you remember how many times you lost to me?”

Kou felt emboldened with his offer when Kiro joined in with it...until it was flat out denied. The dude was a killjoy and Kou didn’t like it. Who did he think he was? King of the world or something? He put the keychain away, trying to remain in his ‘lawyer’ like manner.

“You would have made a substantial profit, the baddest decision you’ve made.”

Zaku arched an eyebrow on Kiro, who did catch the genjustu after all. It would be wise to follow his moves, and let him lead the conversation. They already pulled one trick, and he wasn’t sure what other tricks the Sharingan could also pick up on. Better safe than sorry.

Taiyo
Taiyo looked Jirobo dead in the eye as well, no regrets for what he's done.
Well this is it, I'm dead, Mr. Sage of Six Paths, I guess I'm coming to see you early, unless I somehow don't end up meeting you.
The Leaf genin knew the bad position he was in, and it seemed unlikely that he would be able to come out of this battle alive, at least he would go out how he would have wanted, if the curse Mark user was the destined to be the one to defeat him in an honorable battle, then so be it. However, he wouldn't go down without giving it his all, he aimed a swift kick at Jirobo's habd which held the remains of his kunai, hoping that any chakra he had left could still explode.
I'll be seeing ya soon buddy.

Shura and Shiho looked as Sakon and Ukon jumped down the crevice. "That's the place their Rashomon fell, it must still be there." SHura said. Shiho looked at her brother. "What do we do?" She asked. Shura thought for a second and looked at his sister. "First, try to get them out of that crevice." He said. "Alright, I'll try it bro." Shiho said before running to the edge of the crevice and prepared a jutsu. "Wave Crash!" She shouted as she threw another wave at the brothers down in the crevice.

Preparing for them to do as he requested, he looked to the wall next to him. He was the thinker of the brother, so he hatched a plan. He brought his fists to the wall and summoned up some chakra.

“Multiple fists barrage!”

He carved away at the stone, flurrying punches into it as he dug into the stone. He had created a nice little alcove as he hid inside, waiting for them to follow. Sure enough they did, as he watched from the alcove, water spilling down into the rashomon platform. By the way the stream is coming from I’d guess that the caster is right....here! He looked directly above him, using another multiple fists barrage directly under Shiho, who was already in the middle of another justu. He would use this moment of weakness to grinder her flesh and bone apart!

Feeling the ground shake below her, Shiho recoiled and braced for whatever was going to come but then a chain would grab onto her arm and pull her asides, avoiding the hits that Sakon threw. Shura stood beside Shiho after he pulled her away with the remaining chain he had. "These guys hit hard, we can't even let ourselves get hit once or some serious damage would be dealt." Shura said. "Getting them out of the ditch didn't work out but I now know their location." He thought as he jumped down after Sakon and Ukon. Shura would roll on the floor once he lanced on the Rashomon and arrive right in front of the opening in the wall Sakon was hiding. "Mountain Crusher!" Shura shouted while tensing his Byakugan. He would shoot a big wave of chakra from his palm at close range towards the Brothers.

The air had naturally been tense as they waited for what Kiro's impute would have been. Tomiko doing her best to conceal herself as well as Yasu & Mori while Kenji, Aisha, her wolves, Sakura and Madoka looked on. They were on guard, but also sought to avoid making an obvious threatening posture. Nobody wanted to do anything to incite violence at this point, but they had to be ready for anything.

Well, almost anything. As Luna, in her man-beast form which served as an Aisha duplicate, walked over to the group as she crouched down and began to sniff the boy, Kou. Aisha looked on with an eyebrow raised.

"Luna, come on. Don't pester strangers." Aisha said with a scolding tone as the man-beast wolf scanned Kou with a curious gaze all the same. Perhaps she was attracted to that item he had placed as a bargaining piece. No one could have been sure.

“Mountain crusher!”

Sakon gasped as Shura shot a powerful burst of chakra at them. The twin demons were at it’s mercy, taking the full brunt of the force again. Their alcove exploded as they skid across the metal rashomon, a thick trail of blood following it. They had been spliced clean in half by the burst of chakra. The bodies twitched, muscle seeming to reorganize and fuse together in two separate bodies. Their curse marks faded as the price of their bodies fixing up.

Sakon got up, flexing his now repaired arm as ukon rubbed his head. Ukon was the worst off, being practically out of chakra due to his seal fiasco earlier. The two fully healed brothers breathed heavily, but truly still alive. Their survival after being torn apart was a testament to their amazing stamina.

“Tch...that was a good hit you made. Firm and connected.” Sakon cracked his arm. “But I’m guessing that your chakra reserves aren’t going so well are they?”

Sakon was calling their bluff. No genin could possibly have that much chakra left in them. He wasn’t doing so hot himself, thankfully his kekkei genkai required no chakra to pull off. He had to remember that.

......

Reaver cocked his head looking at the blood spot of the killed bunny. He traced the blood trail, which was scattered between buses and foliage. He signaled to Azumi before progressing deeper. He moved aside a few trees before witnessing what appeared to be an exchange. Several ninja he didn’t recognize were speaking about giving up information, which Reaver was somewhat curious about. He looked to Azumi and motioned to them.

“Now isn’t that interesting? What do you think they are talking about?”

Mori watched the scene unfold and sheathed his tanto, sunshine reflecting from it might expose them and he was not going to take that risk. "Come on, give in you Oto-outcasts! Don't draw this out, someone might find us at this rate. I don't want to face anyone above genin level as I got out of that fight against Reaver more dead than alive, and there were like 8 genin needed to just take his suit down!" The mere thought of facing him along with an Uchiha and an Oto-nin made him shiver. All he could do was pray to every damn deity out there that everyone came out of this alive, even his enemies for interrogation.

Shura watched as the brothers were ripped apart and regenerated. "So they can regenerate too." Shura thought as he listened to talk. "You don't look good yourself, your brother looks worse." He said while getting into a stance. "But its true, I'm nearly out of chakra, I need to finish this before they can recover." He thought.

So it was Bird Boy, Pinky, a puppet user and wolf girl. Kiro had to rub his eyes to make sure he wasn’t seeing things. The Leaf had sent literal genin after a bunch of rogue, kill thirsty, war criminals. Calling it a suicide mission would be an understatement. But to be fair, using his previous analysis, they probably weren’t sent here to fight. It made sense considering how hard ‘Yasu’ was trying to prevent a battle from breaking out. However, the fact that ‘Yasu’ had wanted this after he attempted to kill Zaku still kept him suspicious.

Looking at his opponents now, Kiro began predicting the skill sets of these genin. Madoka was clearly a puppet user as she didn’t bother to hide Raven. The man-beast clones probably consisted of the girl and the two wolves he saw earlier. The pink haired girl was the genjutsu user and ‘Yasu’ was, well, Yasu? Either way, Kiro was confident in his and Zaku’s ability to handle this group.

After listening to ‘Yasu’ restating the offer, he slightly glanced over in Zaku’s direction, kind of hoping he would know how to proceed. However, it seemed like that duty had fallen upon him. Taking a breath, Kiro looked back at Yasu with his sharingan. “Okay, the quicker we get this over with, the better it is for us.” Kiro sighed as he put his right hand forward, raising only his index finger. “You have one question. Depending on which question you ask, we might or might not be able to answer.” If they indeed followed along with Kiro’s offer, then it would prove his hypothesis. They were a team sent to search, not too fight. At the very least, this should by enough time for Zaku to recover from the surprise and prepare for a counterattack if needed.

That's right. Not so high and mighty now are you?

Tayuya was more than pleased when she heard the screams of terror from Kai. Ah that was music to the ears of the Oto-nin, as she had a growing smirk while she kept up the demonic melody and amped up the horror of the illusion she cast him in.

Though the question remained, as the worms without eyes held him tighter and the flesh melted within his mind, what was she to do with him now? The obvious answer was to continue to play, walk over to him and slit his throat so it would be an efficient and ensured death.

However, her leg was still feeling the effects of the earlier freezing even if Tayuya had combated the ice, so hoping around on tree branches needlessly. Tayuya could send her Doki to crush him, but on the off chance that Kai either broke free or one of the other brats come to aid him that could leave her vulnerable. If Tayuya had her Doki focus on the ice army to smash them to dust, then it risked Kai being snapped out of it which leads to the same problem. Tayuya needed to dispose of him all the while keeping the Doki close by her...just in case.

So Tayuya played a complimentary tune on her flute as that same ghostly worm with multiple sets of sharp teeth emerged as Tayuya sent it flying towards Kai as she kept the melody of the Genjutsu going. The two songs were tricky to pull off in sync, which caused the ghostly entity to move slower towards Kai than per usual, but Tayuya was experienced enough with the flute to make it work as soon enough it approached Kai and opened its mouths showing off the sharp teeth as Tayuya's intent was obvious; to feed off Kai's physical energy like a sponge and reduce him to a dried up husk of a corpse.

----------
Takato, even as sweat dripped from his forehead and he had to gather his breath, turned to Kidomaru who had successfully been captured by the shadow possession and smirked at him as he kept a tight hold over him.

"Deception is the greatest weapon a ninja has. S-seems you disregarded that. Tell me, who's the real idiot?" Takato taunted, though even in spite of his big words the struggle to keep Kidomaru in place was crystal clear. Kidomaru's second stage proved to be an exceptionally difficult target to keep in place and it took nearly every ounce of power & focus Takato had left to keep the spider-nin in place.

Man...this guy is a monster. I won't be able to hold him for long, and there isn't much I can do. I have no idea what Sagiso's condition is...but I do know if we don't take this chance know to do something he'll break free and we might end up dead.

Takato took a deep breath and began to tap into his chakra reserves, focusing what he had to try and overcome Kidomaru's resistant will as shadow sickles began to rise. Though it was slow, and at times they began to sink down as it was incredibly difficult to use shadow sickles at the same time he had a shadow possession locked down; especially on this target. But Takato grit his teeth as he continued to push with all he had as the shadow sickles began to rise up as his aim was to get them to hover over Kidomaru's neck as if to try and set them for a possible kill strike if needed.

----------
"Yasu" gave a nod as he seemed thankful the two had not engaged just yet. He supposed it was because Kiro figured he and Zaku could take the four of them; arrogant as that might have been the two were incredibly powerful so it would not have been an easy task to deal with them if it came to blows. Still, he hoped that they would realize that testing their bravado in this situation would come with more cost as Sakura, Madoka & Aisha seemed prepared for a fight should it come to that. As Luna moved back over to Aisha & Sky "Yasu" thought the question over before he took a breath as he faced Kiro...careful to avoid direct eye contact as he gave his question.

"I suppose it would simply be this: What caused you to defect from the Mist to the Sound and what are your intentions going forward?" "Yasu" asked, the second part of that question addressed to Zaku as well given the glance he gave his direction at that part before he turned back to Kiro as he waited for an answer.

Tomiko observed next to Mori and the real Yasu, ready to jump in if needed despite the feelings of seeing Kiro that seemed to just radiate from her. Though she wanted to hear this answer more than anything from the now rogue Uchiha.

---------
"If I had to suppose, a standoff of some kind."

Azumi moved by Reaver as she observed the scene and listened in as what appeared to be a collection of Konoha & Kuna-nin had caught up to Zaku & Kiro along with some boy beside the latter and now there was a standoff. Azumi had no desire to stick around if a fight broke out, given the sound seemed to care little for her and beyond the shield from its invaders that allowed her to get the scroll, they offered her little. Though she was curious as to what the discussion was about as she tried to listen in,

When she heard a question from Yasu, she internally scoffed as she herself as seen the curse mark ceremony and felt she had known the answer even if Kiro had yet to give it.

Cause he desires power for its sake, like others in those privileged nations, but lacks any confidence in his own ability to get it.

The hellish world Kai had found himself in drove the struggling genin into a bitter remorse. He felt his like his very should was to be absorbed by this world of chaos, a world without order, a world without the mist...

* * *

“Ahhhhhh!”

“Get up Kai.”

The elder Yuki had pinned the five year old Kai to the ground in a ‘T’ pose, ice covering his body. Kai struggled to get out of it, but to no avail. He couldn’t summon the kekkei genkai to defend himself. He was vulnerable and weak. His father shook his head and removed the ice covering around him.

“Kai.” The stern man spoke. “Again.”

Kai lunged at him, with a senbon in hand. His father didn’t even look at him before pinning him to the ground again, and again, and again. The Xeno hating ninja shivered in the ice, his hand and feet trembling in the cold. He was let out of the ice prison again, his father shaking his head as well.

“Again.”

“Father....I cant do it. I don’t have the bloodline...” young Kai said, sniffling. “I can’t be the man you want me to be...”

His father opened his eyes, eyeing down the younger Yuki before him. He knelt down to his son, putting one hand on his shoulder. His other hand had held a small but of water cupped inside it.

“Kai, you are my son. You have it inside you, you can do this.” He said, his hard exterior still showing. “Take a look at this...”

The Yuki bended the water in his hand to create a small ice mirror near his face. Kai was surprised in a childish wonder, but still keeping his depressed outlook. He saw his reflection staring back at him.

“It’s just me dad....”

“No son. Ice is made up of several little particles, all of them working in unison to create such fantastic structures like this, working together. As a people, we all must combine together, like cells in a body and bring out the best efforts of us all. Like them, our people, you must use every fiber of your being with them. We all count in each other Kai. You can do this...”

“For our...people?”

Kai looked at himself in the mirror, putting in a determined face as he outstretched his hand to it. He tried his best, the ice mirror staying in place until it began to shift. It’s form mutating into a mother shape. Kai hasn’t believed he was doing this. He turned the small mirror into a small wyvern like creature made of ice. The tiny beast landed in his hand and nuzzled against the newly made ice user.

“I...I did it! Dad did you see that?!?”

“No son, we did it.” His father smiled warmly. “For the mist.”

“For the mist!”

***

Kai felt like all those years ago, pinned down in a hopeless situation. Alone, a cell could do nothing but die. He was that cell. A phantom version of Kiro stood before him, just outside his reach. He laid his eyes on him.

“Kiro...I cant do this alone...I have to...work as a cell...for the mist!!!!”

In an instant, outside the genjustu, the wyvern like ice drone, the same one that had been his first justu all those years ago, had stabbed Kai in the side. Kai had ordered it to attack, the genjustu fading from him. The creature seemed to melt a bit around it’s face. A single drop of melting ice dropped from his face like a tear, splattering on the tree stump along with kai’s blood. Kai, now snapped out of the genjustu stared back at tayuya, his mask falling from his face, revealing a grin on his sleek face.

“There’s one thing that’s different than you and I, Xeno. We mist types work together as a unit. All cells in the body, and your village would sell you out to get any more power it could find. This is why...you fail!”

Kai, bloodied and with one crippled limb, ordered the wyvern. It shrieked as it and the remaining ice drones molded around his body. He gained an exo skeleton made of ice, his crystallized exterior working even though his body wasn’t at the best shape.

“Hidden justu: Ice Titan!”

The ice Titan lunged into battle, the freezing will of the mist village at around it. He dived right for the chakra worm, who he knew was non physical. The ice Titan’s arm went right through it, the chakra eel snapping his chakra connection to that arm as it slid off like a glacier, breaking off from the ice Titan. He kept trucking through, with two legs and one arm on the ice Titan. His body was to tackle the sound four member and shatter her body with his.

......

Kidomaru internally cursed as he was trapped inside his own. The brat had outsmarted him, and snared him inside a trap of his own. He had been outmaneuvered! He could slightly move his body, but not nearly gas enough to counter the shadow stitch coming his way. With the brat controlling him, there was nothing but web between him and Sagiso as well. It was shifting to be a fatal mistake!

“Urk...of all strategies, Fall to THIS unoriginal justu...? This can’t be my end...”

Looking at the corpse of his fallen spider, he cringed as the thought of it joining it dawned on him. The shadow snaked toward him while he couldn’t shoot any threads to get out of the way. He was helpless. As the shadow came to pierce him, he felt a sudden slashing at his back. Blood spattered out yet the shadow hadn’t hit him.

“...what?!”

He was Thrown off the branch, snapping the shadow connection as he was strewn out across the floor. His curse mark receeded as a new figure took his place on the branch. A female with long strewn out hair and a look of a murder. She had some of Kidomaru’s blood dropping from her mouth as she licked it up deliciously. She didn’t seem to care about her comrade, as he lie bleeding across the floor, still facing after effects of the paralysis.

“Now, who in the HELL stuffed me into a bucket?!” Kin yelled out.

.......

Sakon and ukon lacked their curse mark states, yet still kept with finishing the fight. By the way shura acted, Sakon’s assessment wasn’t. Their chakra WAS depleted. He had an idea.

He came up, clawing up from the crevice he was in, ukon back inside his body. They looked pretty worn as well, several gashes from the bubbles and wind attacks lining his body, and a long scar that still bled from the most recent severing. He approached them.

“Say...this has been quite a fight. How about them well call it even. With a handshake?”

Sakon lazily gave out one hand, drooping it toward Shura as his head was cocked to the side

Mori felt the feelings that just beamed from Tomiko and felt bad for her, but also became curious about the reason of her emotions. "No matter, first things first." He put his hand on Tomiko's shoulder and nodded reassuring. He just hoped that Tomiko could read lips as he mouthed "It's going to be alright, you have us with you. You are not alone in this."

Sagisō

'Oh? Internal discord?'

Sagisō gazed calmly at the new arrival while her figure remaining concealing in the roiling smoke, which at this point, would've risen up to waist height. They'd already gone above and beyond the scope of their mission, and Sagisō was all for leaving as soon as possible, with a few captives in tow, of course. Laying prone, Sagisō began to slowly crawl her way through the smoke and webbing to where Kidomaru's bloodied figure lay. Even if he was all but defeated with a possibly fatal wound in his back, she would still seal all his chakra points before carrying him back to the leaf. She'd also take the opportunity to staunch the bleeding so he didn't bleed-out during their travels.

At a snail pace, she continued her crawl, keeping tabs on both Takato and the new arrival Kin, while ensuring she made no movements detectable over the natural roiling of the smoke clouds.

Furījia

Learning from her past mistakes, Furījia had retreated further, putting a whole 250m between herself and Kenji's team. She'd further concealed herself with shrubbery and was practically undetectable for anyone present at that confrontation. At a distance quarter of a kilometer away from the tense group of people, Furījia watched the proceedings without blinking, awaiting any hints that a fight would break out.

Shura looked at Sakon as he talked about a truce. He watched as Sakon extended his hand. "This is obviously a trap, but I'll humour him." He thought as he turned around to look at Shiho. "Since we're done here, go look around and see how the others are doing." He said to her sister before mouthing the word 'stay close' which Shiho picked up. "Ok, got it bro." She said before running away behind and disappearing behind some trees. Shura took a step closer towards Sakon. "I'm not shaking that hand, but if you're done then I'll be leaving now." He said.

Jirobo easily broke those kunai as well, with a strong punch with his left fist. Without chakra, Taiyo was weak an vulnerable. And without his partner, he was as good as dead.

“Kunai? What a pathetic counter. Just lay down why don’t ya?”

He coated the rock he picked up around his fist as he aimed to punch Taiyo directly cold-clocked in the face.

.....

Sakon watched as shiho went away, unknowingly she was still close by. He then fixated his eyes back on Shura, who had refused to take his hand. He chuckled a bit.

“Well then, if your not going to shake my hand, how about a hug?”

And with that, ukon lept our of Sakon, leaping not performing any justu, but looking just to touch Shura, using the advantage of having a shiho away and outnumbering him, along with the element of surprise is

A ribbon flew out of the tree lines as Shiho was still nearby. The ribbon would then grab onto Ukon's leg and pull him away from Shura towards Shiho. Shura looked at Sakon. "Did you think such an obvious trick would actually work?" He said before he got into a stance and dashed at Sakon. "Eight Trigrams 32 Palms!" Shura shouted as he hit Sakon with a barrage of blows. He couldn't go all out with the little chakra he had left. Over near Shiho, after pulling Ukon close, Shiho would jump at him and aim to puncture his chakra point at his chest with a palm strike.

Kiro let out a sigh as he heard out ‘Yasu’s question or rather... “Technically that’s two questions, but I’ll let that slide.” He then began to stroke his chin as he tried to figure out how to answer. They were some interesting questions and he found it hard too believe that out of all the questions he could’ve chosen, ‘Yasu’ chose those two. In reality, a Kiro wondered if even he could justify his actions. But if he couldn’t, who could? His mother or father? The Mist? Orochimaru? Sagisō? Azumi? Zaku? Anyone he had ever came in contact with? No, it was himself who chose this path so it was he who knew the answer.

“I don’t know why you would care what I do. But if you want an answer, I’ll try my best to give it to you.” Kiro started, taking another breath before he began to give his answer. “Your girlfriend, Tomiko, she showed me something that completely changed my view on things. For the first time, I was able to see first hand the strength that didn’t come from being lucky enough to be born in a prestigious clan. It’s a shame to think that I only won because I possessed an ability she can never have. These eyes belong to a clan which I despise. Everytime I use the eyes, I surrender myself to the power of a clan that didn’t even know I existed until a few weeks ago. Its pathetic, disgusting. I should be grateful for this power but without them, I’m nothing. My respect for Tomiko continuing on with the lack of a special talent has grown the more I think about it. Unlike her, I owe nearly everything to my birthright. So much so that I was humiliated by the girl from the Rain when they were rendered useless.” Kiro realized he had started to unravel his true feelings towards the sharingan, but it was a bit too late to stop now.

“The Blood Mist, the only reason they let me live that day was because of these sharingan. I’m only a tool for them to use in times of war. That’s what I was told. That’s how I was trained. All I’m good for is these eyes, nothing else. I was so special that I even got to take a special graduation exam. One that consisted of other gifted classmates that I spent years learning with.” Kiro stopped for a moment as he silently chuckled to himself. “Take a guess what it was.”

Taiyo
Using the remaining strength he had, Taiyo barely managed to dodge the punch which surely would have finished the battle and his life.
Well there is one last thing I have yet to try. I dunno if this will work, but I have to try.
"Jirobo wait! I have a proposition for you. I can tell you like a good fight, what if you let me live, I bet I can get strong enough to win against you in one year. Feel free to give me a reminder to keep my word if you like, even though I don't break promises,"
C'mon ya oaf, I know you got a brain, so please be able to understand this.

Jirobo hit nothing but air as Taiyo seemed to dodge, his stamina even after using a full exhaust move was impressive, but not enough. Jirobo blinked as Taiyo gave his offer, he then broke into laughter.

“So your saying I should spare you so you can come after and try to kill me again? Ha! You weren’t your nation’s diplomat were you? Now stop squirming and die!”

Jirobo tried for a second bout, his rock covered punch coming back at Taiyo to finish the job

......

Ukon was surprised as he was thrown off of his trajectory by the ribbon. He was helplessly dragged toward shiho, no chakra left to do much about aside to try clawing On the floor.

Sakon did not seem the least bit worried in contrast to his brother as the blows came to him. When the first bloat touched him, it did indeed stop a chakra point, but it allowed for a conduit of an even worse skill. Sakon seemed to decompile, his meat filaying from his bone. All at one time he seemed to absorb into Shura’s hand as soon as he made physical contact.

Ukon was hit directly with the blow from the chest by his opponet, blood spattering out from his mouth. He was on his last legs. He couldn’t do much, his chakra entirely gone and now his physical body refusing to obey commands. All he could do Was Spit his blood in the enemy’s face.

Meanwhile Sakon has found a very nice home...in someone else.

“Peekaboo.” Sakon said, as he was ATTACHED to Shura!

A tool for violence? Well...as if I needed any more confirmation of the war-culture those among the great nations teach their young ninja this all but confirms it.

Azumi also listened in on Kiro's speech as he addressed "Yasu"'s question and seemed to have a certain respect for someone named Tomiko. The Iwa-girl he fought in the preliminary match if she had to take a guess; which was ironic caused on her view of it she was just good at taking a beating and getting up foolishly.

Though it appeared the source of his respect, and his resentment were tied to the fact that he felt he was reliant on the Sharingan. And that without it, he was sub-par which given what Azumi had seen in their battle that he had referenced was not completely unreasonable. Though the fact he complains about being "nothing" without the Sharingan and thus not "strong" yet relaying on the markings someone handed him had not been lost on the Ame-nin.

"Seems my victory over him shattered his pride." Azumi mused with a whisper to Reaver as she continued to observe curious to what else Kiro had to say regarding this as she had little knowledge of this "Bloody Mist" and had been curious.

-----------
Tomiko glanced over to Mori as she heard, or rather saw, him communicate a message of reassurance to her as she was able to read his lips. Seems her...emotional indecision had not gone unnoticed by him. Tomiko's habit of wearing her heart on her sleeve seemed to make it hard for her to mask this though she quickly gave a nod of reassurance as she simply mouthed off "I understand, thanks I'll be fine."

Naturally, she also hoped Mori could read lips. Though her focus turned back to Kiro as he began to explain himself.

And to say Tomiko's world was cracked due to his reasoning would have been a monstrous undersell. All those nightmares since that day, the condescending figure that made her feel as low as one could seemed to clash with the actual man himself. Who...who seemed to have respect for her, and even a touch of envy which seemed rooted in the fact he seemed to resent his Kekkei Genkai and Tomiko lacked one at all.

This contrast between the figure that fed on her insecurities, her doubts about her capabilities & worth compared to this newfound psuedo-admiration for her was one she struggled to wrap her head around. It just seems...impossible, that somebody with the talents Kiro had would have any actual respect for her given she had been thoroughly trounced by him and crippled. Someone like that didn't embody the meaning of strength, least in her own mind. So was Kiro just offering flattery? Maybe he tried to talk her up given his defeat at Azumi's hands would naturally make him rather focus on who he managed to defeat.

But if it was just making someone he beat sound better to add credibility to himself, why would he speak so lowly of himself? Tomiko was understandably confused by all this as she shook her head and tried to focus on what else Kiro had to say.

"Yasu", along with the others continued to watch. Based on that comment "Yasu" assumed that Yasu was a "not boyfriend" of Tomiko and despite having no connection to this Iwa-kunoichi "Yasu" had to play along as he let out a sigh and tried to give a disgruntled expression.

"She's not my girlfriend. A-anyway, I've heard a bit about the mist. They had a unique graduation ceremony. Something from what I understand is terrible but lack knowledge on the details." "Yasu" explained as he was curious what this was all about. Sakura seemed to pale a bit herself, as she had heard this story from her own sensei and because she knew what was to come appeared understandably horrified. But had refrained from making a comment just as Aisha & Madoka had done.

-----------
Takato cursed as he jumped back to a branch and took note of the new arrival as somehow another Oto-nin had arrived and moved Kidomaru rather violently from the branch and his shadows. As they returned to Takato he glanced at the kunoichi and took note of her comment about who "put her in a box" which made him wonder if she was in that box and if there had been a miscalculation on Kai's part.

Swell. All that effort for the wrong target. Just what I need.

"Well, I would guess your teammates. Seems they don't have the best opinion about you if they are willing to dump you as if you were luggage." Takato said, as he knew this was a dumb thing to say to an already temperamental ninja based on his observation. But she had not been his sole focus as he saw the outline of Sagiso's figure and that she seemed to try and get to Kidomaru.

Takato needed to be a distraction for that, as like it or not getting one of the Oto-nin could salvage this. And they had invested far too much to leave with nothing, so like it or not he had to stall this girl long enough for Sagiso to go to work. So he cast the Shadow Possession jutsu as he tried to sneak it over towards Kin as he hoped to take advantage of her confusion over this to try and get her shadow.

---------
"MOTHER...."

Tayuya's visible frustration and shock seemed to be echoed by her curse, which had been cut off as she saw Kai not only snap out of her demonic genjutsu but also form an ice titan and had it charge them. Tayuya had little time to respond as she quickly played a tune which recalled the chakra worm into the Doku before said Doki charged the ice titan head on; as it aimed to deliver a charge into it as Tayuya had no time to dodge the coming impact so suddenly and on a bad leg.

So Tayuya banked on her remaining Doki as it crashed into the ice titan and Tayuya felt the shockwave of the two large bodies as they collided though Tayuya hoped that it was enough to force it back as she struggled to keep on her branch to play her tune against the force of the impact.

Jiraiya turned to the Hyuga as she made mention of the need for even a temporary Hokage. Indeed, the prospect of "replacing" someone of Minato's caliber was far from a simple task. And not the best thing to speak about.

"Well, if I had to throw a name out there you seem to have a good head on your shoulders Hinagiku. Konoha could use somebody like you running things in this period." Hisao suggested as she had already taken the liberty to place her legs on the chair ahead of her. Something that Inoichi had not been so appreciative of.

"Are we certain putting her, or any clan head is a wise decision? I know I can speak for us when I say we have enough responsibilities on our plate and this sudden appointment gives no time to adjust those schedules. And given the current condition of the village, I believe a leader in this moment should focus on the greater needs of the village for now rather than try to multi-task to that extent." Daichi said as he offered his own counter to Hisao's comment as Danzo gave a nod before he began to speak up.

"Indeed. We need a strong leader in this time of crisis. Someone with the internal strength, determination and leadership to guide a nation ravaged by such an invasion and in morning. Someone..."

"Someone I know very well."

Danzo glanced over to Jiraiya as the Toad Sage had cut him off which had been rude, but Danzo masked any other disappointment as he allowed the Sannin a chance to speak.

"In fact, the person I have to suggest could not only fill the role of temporary Hokage but might be the key to help with our current Kage's condition." Jiraiya explained which only caused Oasmu to raise an eyebrow.

"And who do you have in mind?" Osamu asked as this only caused Jiraiya to develop a small smirk as he closed his eyes and folded his arms over his chest before he simply said the name for his top choice.

"Tsunade. Tsunade Senju."

Mori smiled as Tomiko 'said' to him that she would be fine, although he could only hope that she meant it. As he went back to observing, he saw that 'Yasu' was uncomfortable with being called Tomiko's boyfriend and he had to stifle his laughter. The happiness soon left as he heard them talking about Kiri's graduation ceremony and involuntarily shivered. He read and heard much about it but he never thought that he would meet someone who went through that.

Kiri had an unusual graduation ceremony which could be dubbed as manslaughter. Graduating classes were forced to fight eachother and the last one standing won, this gave Kiri its infamous nickname of 'Chigiri', the Bloody Mist. There were a handful of times where he regretted doing research on villages and this was one of them.

Mori knew quite a bit more about the other villages than your regular genin, especially about Kiri given the rocky relationship between both villages to say the least. The Second Tsuchikage and Mizukage killed eachother in battle, Iwa stabbed Kiri in the back in what would later be known as the Yasuga Pass tragedy and almost always were at war with eachother, leaving Ame to fend for themselves caught in the crossfire. Suddenly he felt bad for Ame but that sadness soon got replaced by absolute loathing of the Uchiha who appeared to be from Kiri instead of Konoha, which was odd to say the least but it also was the least of his worries right now.

As anger and bloodlust slowly took over his body, he grabbed two rocks that fit in his hands and grabbed them tight in an attempt to release his emotions that were building up to some extent. Too much of them would ruin the chance of peaceful negotiations but too little of them could screw him over in a potential fight. All he could do, again, was wait.

“You won over that punk but you didn’t take a trophy from him? You disappoint me Azumi.”

Reaver has listened intently to both sides, had had begun to get bored. He wasn’t much of a negotiater, nor did he have the patience for it. He was getting bored and a bit bloodthirsty.

“Speaking of trophies, why don’t we go claim some huh?”

........

“I couldn’t care less about them!” Kin spat at the Nara. “What I DO know is I was promised blood and death when I signed on for this invasion nonsense, and damn it I’m going to get it!”

Kin’s robe sported three foot long talons on either side. Some with fresh blood from kidomaru’s back. She licked up some of the blood before madly cackling at takato. She knew that Kidomaru was paralyzed with the shadow possession justu when she hacked away at his back, and from what she saw it appeared to paralyze its target upon touch. She was NOT going to let that happen to her! She eyed the shadow and held her ground as it went her way. A pale blue chakra radiated around her, she opened her mouth as she casted a justu.

“Acid style: Boiling stream!”

She spat out a long stream of boiling water. It splattered across the tree branch and long the shadow. After it did this, it seemed to trace along the shadow, following it back it’s user. The shadow growing blemishes, although the shadow possession justu casting seemed unharmed. It traced it back, the skin layer coating of the acid would aim to go to where it originated from, to melt the user right where he stood.

..........

The doki’s muscle mass proved a problem in Kai’s plans. As the two bodies collided, the ice Titan’s legs sharped before hitting into the Doki. The doki’s strength broke the ice titan’s lower half, but the damage had been done. Now the ice Titan was only a chest cavity and one arm. Struggling to keep it up, Kai used the one free arm to grip the doki’s head, crunching down as he used it as a stepping stone.

The chakra eels severed the chakra connections to the arm as it had covered up the Doki’s mouth. It broke of entirely, but allowing the chest cavity to be thrown towards tayuya. Kai, reignited with the flame of his people, prepared his strongest move.

“Forbidden justu: Ice Titan! Dispersal!”

The rest of the ice Titan shattered into tiny inch long pieces of ice. Some of the shapes were ice pebbles, needles, prongs, disks, and other like forms. The dispersal has aimed all these weapons down at tayuya’s entire position.

“Die Xeno scum, fear the might of the mist!”

“Oh please, she’d never leave your side. You guys were practically married!” Zaku said smugly. “I’d find it hard to believe she wasn’t here with you, along with your title fan club. After all the pink on is here, hi by the way.”

Zaku has to look twice, just now registering that Madoka was with them as well. He tried to avoid eye contact, putting a buffer between her and Kou. He had hoped she wouldn’t be here, and she hoped she would over look him, he REALLY did not want to talk to her

Shiho shrieked when Ukon spat blood in her face. She whipped her ribbon around a few times and wrapped Ukon with it, preventing anymore movement from him. "Ah, Gross! I think it went in my mouth!" Shiho shouted as she crouched down and began rubbing her face.

Shura's eyes widened as he saw Sakon seep into his arm, he then frowned and looked at Sakon once he fully entered his body. "So this is what you were doing." He said calmly.

Ukon struggled to move out of the ribbons, to no avail. He was in too much of a weakened state to do much, that’s last attack assured that. His hands and feet twitched as he tried to inch away. He was wrapped by some odd ribbon in which he didn’t know how she even stored it. He was outmanuvered.

“Kehehehe, yes.”

Sakon chuckled as he reached out his hands from the inside of Shura’s and gripped onto his wrists to prevent even further movement. Sakon’s face leaned down creepily next to Shuras with a wide grin.

“I see your pest of a sister is holding my brother hostage much like I am with you. I’ll cut you a deal. Drop my brother now and both of you walk back to your territory a good distance while my brother ties your arms and I *may* hold off from giving you deadly cancers and critical defects to your body. What is it brother dearest? Do we have a deal?”

Taiyo
Fortunately for the young ninja, he was able to move out of the way before his was was turned into nice little pancake for Jirobo to feast on.
"Well I mean give me the benefit of a doubt, I'd be going against my nindo if I lied to you about this," Taiyo tried to stall as he discreetly put some explosive tags on a nearby rock he found.
"But I do understand your doubt, and before you make your decision, I just have one last thing to say...BYE!" Taiyo slammed the rock down as hard as he could, which fortunately generated the force to trigger the explosion. The Leaf-nin was pushed back a bit by the shockwave, but he was able to get up and run away from Jirobo. The smoke would take a while to dissipate, so he could use this to leap in some trees and further his escape.
