What reason would she have to take Kenji seriously? He's the weakest character we have here by far who she handily defeated already XD
The list isn't based on strength, else she'd take Kiro and Zaku seriously. It's dependent on how she judges each character.
Friends poke fun at each other, you try it.

I would love to see Tomiko wipe the floor with Sagiso though
Sagisō is a pretty bad match up against Tomiko at first glance, but Tomiko would make her way to the list of people taken seriously.

Shen: King of Digimon

Previously Shen: King of the Mist
Azumi, Katsuo, Reaver, and eventually Kenji when he declares his intent to avenge himself.

She doesn't take Shura, Kai, Kiro, or Zaku seriously, and everyone else is kinda not close enough to her for her to have formed an opinion on them.

She respects Takato though.

I feel like the date fight with is to blame for zaku’s case xD

What could she have judged about Kenji's character to make him worthy of any respect?

Ah I see. Never giving up to only get your butt kicked more is worthy of respect I guess XD.

And to be fair, everyone is a bad match for Tomiko. Even Taiyo (One of the people she "defeated") who'd probably kick her ass if they fought again XD

Tomiko could kick Naomi's ass, let's be honest

Well not necessarily. The people she takes seriously are those whose motives and determination she finds worthy, or any other combination of specific character traits.

She respects Azumi's motives, Reaver's strength, and Katsuo's pride and ingenuity. She would respect Tomiko's stubborness and Kenji's boldness. Particularly, all these can be seen as their own Pride, and she respects that since it's her name sake.

Eh, Kenji feels like a stretch extension. I can understand Tomiko (Even if her stubbornness just amounts to getting her ass kicked), but I have doubts Kenji has shown any trait of respect for Sagiso to consider.

But I can understand how Sagiso would rate those to respect.

In both cases she would respect their will to challenge her, and their drive to eventually beat her, and she would ruthlessly crush them in battle in response to that desire.

They would either defeat her at her strongest or be crushed trying.

Yeah, given their win rates and where the characters are go now, I'm predicting one thing over the other here XD
Win rates don't mean much. For the record Hinagiku's win rate is 0 *shrugs*

You'll more likely be defeated by that mentality than any real effort on Sagisō's part. Don't box yourself in before you've even fought, you're waging psychological warfare against yourself and managing to lose in both fronts.

Yeah, Kai is a shining example about psychological warfare getting to someone

But would she take Taiyo seriously tho? Or would she try to kill him xD

It's especially dangerous when it goes beyond your character and you yourself have the belief that you can't win. It'll immediately cripple your creativity because you'll have convinced yourself that none of your ideas will work.

I agree with this. I tend to be my own worst enemy, probably insecurity cause I feel I am an inferior writer to some of you guys here and am constantly paranoid over it.

Not fair to judge Hinagiku, she hasn't had a fight yet. Actually no, she did when she fought Kabuto and made him retreat. That counts as a win and even so she is clearly powerful.

Win rates do matter, because for all the hypothetical techniques, power ups and word of moth of our characters getting stronger. How they actually perform against others in fights is the real measure for how strong or weak they are.

And minus Azumi, my cast are bottom tier. Reflected accurately in the win/loss records.

As said, Tomiko beat Taiyo and kilka together

Kyuu is very right that the more you reside yourself to your characters being the weakest, the more you make it fact in your mind

Except that's not exactly correct.

Combat Power can only be roughly placed into tiers, and win rate is only particularly effective when it's done in a round robin style, so everyone has a chance to face everyone else.

Without that, win rates aren't nearly as concrete. For an RP Sagisō > Furījia, and Baiyan > Sagisō does not guarantee Baiyan > Furījia.

Don't pay that much attention to statistics, they're data, and as all data, they're inflexible and not suited to representing a varied and frequently shifting state of being.
I feel it is objectively fact. And honestly given what Taiyo has done since the Tomiko fight her win makes less sense XD

But I get your point.
and this is precisely my point. You're thinking objectively, and RPs are subjective.

I guess I just struggle to see my cast (Minus Azumi and Takato...oddly enough XD) as anything but weak. Which is my issue, but I do feel you guys give them far more credit than they honestly deserve.

Kiro's boding of Tomiko without him even using his Sharingan really has hurt my perception of her. Same with Kenji's performance against Sagiso, and the fact that they haven't won since didn't help matters nor has the rest of my characters doing any better (Sakura getting one assist win...being the only win they have) also doesn't help my own skewed view of things.

Even some wins I object to or don't consider to mean anything (Tomiko vs. Taiyo, Azumi vs. Kiro) given the IRL situation around the Azumi/Kiro fight and simply the fact Taiyo has displayed more impressive stuff and feels another tier higher than Tomiko despite her technical victory.

I just don't see the positives you all do with how they've been portrayed to this point I suppose. Feel I gave them poor representation and made them appear so weak. Which is an issue I am trying to look past, but it's a nagging bug. Just won't go away XD

*siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh*

Alright, which AU are you having train Tomiko? I'll offer to control that one and help you iron out the perceived flaw. This issue is clearly better fixed in the RP instead of in the discussion thread.
i wanna fight EVERYONE, even tho i know ill get clapped

Well Taiyo would be a good place to start, he and Raiku can always spar.
Hmmm, if you're going to train with Hinagiku, it's going to be brutal. Your Oc's won't have the time or the energy to spar afterward.

Tomiko vs Taiyo victor is the same logic as naruto vs Lee. Sure naruto beat Neji, but he still lost to Lee. You can’t refute that. Tomiko is simply stronger against Taiyo.

Madoka only lost to Zaku, which in all fairness is not only stronger against her, but is also a top tier fighter here. Slamming her is unjustified

A total royal rumble, have no idea what could even remotely give us a scenario but that mental image is gonna last XD

If you are curious Kurotsuchi will teach her, but only after I have Tomiko pick up something first before she meets her teacher. I have a plan to try and improve Tomiko and she needs to do something on her own before meeting Kurotsuchi.

I can very easily do that, but I'll refrain from complaining more. I know it gives you all headaches XD. I'll just say that situation isn't one and the same; not in the slightest bit.

Hmmm, Taiyo, Raiku, Mori... who else?

Surprisingly my own Oc's won't be training with her.

Tayuya doesn't need training, but she'll have nothing to do while everyone else does.

Or maybe she does, given Kai gave her a scare during the Sound Chase Arc. But her seal handicaps what she can do XD

Shura, Shiho, and a few more that I forget. Possible takato. So quite a bit
Shura, and Shiho yes...but Takato?

Well, that brings it up to 5, still within the range that Hina can solo.

Hmmm, I'm not she I have a good grasp on Kurotsuchi's personality, but she is quite the hot headed one.

Tayuya sounds reliant on the seal when you phrase it that way. She should still be able to preform Taijutsu.
