Reminds me when I said Kiro wouldn’t be doing anything significant after the massacre... oh wait that’s still the plan :p ;)
Personally, at that point, I think I'd have Sagisō avoid fights since the Akatsuki will be hunting her. The only thing I have planned for Shippuden Sagisō is Azumi's betrayal, other than that, she'll probably be a reclusive cat-woman. Oh, and she'll frequently head to the Mist to check on her best buddy, Kai.

I'd probably main Furījia, or Baiyan since they'll be more relevant to the plot at that point.
lol they should set up a little cabin by themselves like Kirito and asuna did since apparently they’re gonna be irrelevant

Believing only goes so far.

But that advice is sound, and we'll see where the interaction with Baiyan and Azumi goes now that I've had her begin discussion between them. I just hope you can at least see why I have these reservations for the fight when I keep hearing all this Sagiso stuff is all.
Took me a while to get that gif fixed ~w~

You're just too straight-forward tbh, but I'll turn you into a worthy opponent yet~

You're just too straight-forward tbh,

Probably, though my concern is Sagiso is gonna be so OP even the perfect strategy is gonna be useless. Azumi could do everything right and still be vastly overpowered. And that's not even accounting for Sagiso being a strategist as well.

But it is appreciated that you think this can even be a fight TBH.

Well the thing is, Azumi is set to be less developed that Sagisō in terms of fighting style, as far as I'm aware. You've never particularly stated any desire to have her acquire more nature's, and against Sagisō who will at minimum have 2 natures, she comes off as less versatile.

That being said, it's merely an appearance, a facade if you will, between Umbrella-kenjutsu, Yin-release, and Water release, you'll be able to adequately face off against Sagisō's Wind-release, Fire-release, Shurikenjutsu, and Taijutsu.

In terms of sheer range control at a close distance, Azumi is probably at the top of the OC list, she covers every single range and specializes in close-mid range.

Well, time to overhaul Azumi's Umbrella.

Stolen straight from the King's Avatar (It got an anime a while back)

Ye Xiu's Thousand Chance Umbrella (Myriad Manifestation Umbrella)

It's essentially a transforming umbrella that covers a myriad of fighting styles and accommodates many forms; it has a whopping 12 different forms, though I'm only really expecting Azumi to be able to use a couple of them. Though she could wield all twelve.

It's an excellent transforming weapon that can shift from very short range attack (umbrella), to mid-range attack (extended shaft or inverting the umbrella's top), to defensive (Umbrella Shield), to slashing (bladed edges), to long distance (A hole in the tip through which to funnel chakra and deliver nasty surprises)

That being said, I think Wind and Fire natures are all I'm gonna have Sagisō learn, anything else she may need I'll tack to her summons if needs be.

Sagisō's main weapons will still be her silk-steel gloves, but I'm gonna try to figure out stuff to do with kunai, shuriken and wires, to enhance shuriken jutsu, and I did give her chakrams though I honestly can't figure out how to use them lol

Her final arsenal should be something like;

Gentle Fist, Wind-release, Fire-release, Taijutsu, Bukijutsu.

Edit:
and I found this btw xD

Made an adjustment or two.

Holy crabs that umbrella is badass~! I'll probably need to give an excuse for how Azumi gets such a weapon as her current umbrella is quite limited. Would be quite the upgrade to be sure.

And I suppose I felt Azumi was already too powerful as it was and I was in no rush to "beef" her up even more. As I figured the top tiers would take it easy (Relative) to the rest of the cast. So I focused more on Azumi's desire to form this team and her character arc rather than her fighting upgrades.

Then I hear Sagiso is gonna work towards Blue Lion Fist and groundwork to get a tailed beast already and now I realize I need to alter my original thought XD.

A second nature is probably gonna be inevitable, I just need to think what compliments Liquid Shadows. Not that it matches up to a Tailed Beast mind you but it would be better than nothing.

What about shocking and damaging opponents while they’re immobilized?

I presume you are hinting at a lightning style combination?

A possibility. Though I have an idea or two of my own to tinker with as well.

.....and immobilization only works if the opponent is actually at your level or close to it.

Hmmm, there are ways to get temporary boosts up to tailed beast level.

There are a few ways to achieve jinchuriki levels of power without actually becoming one, such as Kakuzu's Earth Grudge Fear, or the more temporary means of Hero's Water.

Particularly, I wanna see someone with Earth Grudge Fear and have 5 hearts of the same chakra nature essentially quintupling their affinity or something.

Besides, there are variety of Mist techniques that you forgot to steal from the Mist but I will certainly be using later down the line with Hyōryūgetsu; which are Mist Rain and Grudge rain. The former of which is usable by a single person and creates a Mist that absorbs chakra and is effective enough to nerf a Jinchuriki in their base form, such as Utakata. Stall for time, whittle away at her chakra while keeping your own sufficiently filled.

Grudge Rain is something I'll be using if the Hōzuki clan ever gets attacked :v

Kakuzu was a 100 year old immortal whose technique isn't just learned by anybody. Not to mention he lost to base Shippuden Naruto. And the guy who drank the Hero's Water lost to Pre-Time Skip Naruto. If they are Jinchuriki boosts they are seriously underwhelming.

....you, you want to see someone pick up Kakuzu's multiple hearts thing? :'|

Azumi's entire arsenal is not gonna be just stolen Mist techniques. She did steal the Forbidden Scroll, so she has Konoha techniques she has yet to steal yet XD. More importantly I want Azumi to have her own style and not just bank of stealing techniques of others.

Oh, apart from Lightning Style, wind style can be used to increase the speed and impact of water-style techniques, and I'd even toss around the idea of Bubble-ninjutsu with wind-style techniques hidden within them that get released as soon as they're popped :v

Shen: King of Digimon

Previously Shen: King of the Mist
And lemme risk giving Shen some Ideas by mentioning the Hiding in Frost technique which renders the user effectively invisible indefinitely unless they're hit.
It won't be fooling the Byakugan, but the rest of you are gonna have a chilly time :v

Ah I know if it. Kai actually used this technique vs seiun recently. Don’t worry, I already thought far ahead ;)

What, it'd be sorta cool xD

Like, a person that has x5 boost to a certain element because of their 5 hearts. Since Kakuzu could use jutsu from the hearts separately, that's the user and the 4 heart constructs using the same jutsu. It's an interesting idea to toss around.

Well, I've noticed you've been creating that Hydra-technique. You should have Azumi keep thin tubes of water in her Umbrella, kinda like the thin tubes that run around a car's engine to prevent overheating. From there she can do a surprise water needle from point-blank range.

Well, that's useless advice against Sagiso, which is the big fight Azumi will have down the line XD
Ahaha, hiding things from Sagisō is extremely difficult, that's the charm of the Byakugan~

but you can definitely choose the terrain of the battle and make it to your advantage, like flooding the battlefield with a river which will drastically lower the chakra cost for all of Azumi's water release techniques, and is a default set-up for large-scale water-release techniques.

Well, um...there goes that element of surprise XD. Mechanic was different but I had a similar idea already in mind.

And again, these cute gimmicks don't do much against someone of Sagiso's OP class. But I have enough ideas to toy around future upgrades and appreciate the advice all the same.

I’m too hyped for this fight! Perhaps even overhyped but I can tell it will be amazing :D

Just plz don’t forget about the other half. You know, the emotional aspect. The character development between the two will probaIy be great so I’m not that worried. I really do believe this can be the best fight, story-driven moment in the series!

Good in theory, but Sagiso's move will be to flee first fight later. Getting her to an area that favors Sagiso seems like stupidly wishful thinking. If Sagiso doesn't decide to just use the beast's power to knock out Azumi quickly before the fight escalates. But she'll likely try to do this anyway so we'll see where it goes.

They're basically useless as long as I remember to pull the Byakugan can see everything clause. Something I forgot during the Katsuo battle xD Which is why she got her eyes taken out pretty early on.

Though I honestly forget that clause pretty often.

Azumi will be the one initiating the fight, so since she's got the initiative then it's not completely wishful thinking. Besides, there are ninja techniques to summon entire terrain's, so might as well summon a river of something.

Or you could take a page out of my book for by two Hōzuki Oc's, who's summons are based on Mythological creatures responsible for inducing rain. So I'd at least give them the weather advantage in a battle.

Depending on how it goes Azumi can get in a sneak attack before Sagisō even realizes what's happening xD

I've been playing with the idea of her receiving an injury right at the start of the battle and then being in a state of confused denial for the duration of her fleeing.

One thing that needs to happen, which kinda feels impossible now, is more interaction between Azumi and Sagiso before their battle. As it stands they've hung out for one arc in this story and they need more time together to strengthen this friendship more.

But they are different nations. And really feels like there is no chance for interaction given you already plan to make Sagiso a Jinchuriki this arc.

I'm pushing the Jinchuriki thing back, though it would be an opportune moment for Azumi and Sagisō to meet as Azumi consoles Sagisō over her recent change and also kindles Azumi's hatred for the 5 great nations.

Sagisō may temporarily join Azumi's team after this arc or the next since she won't be heading back to the leaf.

Not a good sign that this battle half relies on Sagiso just forgetting her own capabilities to be competitive.

Initiating a fight =/= getting Sagiso to fight in a field that suits Azumi with an advantage. And it's easier for Sagiso to flee from an area than for Azumi to make a new terrain for favorable fighting.

I...already hinted at Azumi's summon. And they don't make storms.

Sagiso: It...it is horrible. They made me...even more OP by putting a monster inside me. Oh woe is me~!
Azumi: *Pats back* There there, I will see to it they pay for making you cooler.

JK I get the idea. But how to justify Azumi getting in this arc is the question as her goal is not to hunt tailed beasts. So she'd have no interest in such a beast and would conflict with her current goal.

Sagisō doesn't forget lmao, I do, it's just something I tend to overlook. My first thought is usually, damn that was clever, rather than, HA!!! 0 blindspots boiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

Well, I wanna turn it into a character arc, and Matatabi's a cat, a predator, Sagisō will go on many murderous rampages and perhaps kill several innocent people. She'll eventually develop the habit of carving the image of a Netherlily around the locations where her victims have fallen since it's supposed to be a flower that guides spirits safely to the other side. It'll propagate her reputation when she's a mercenary since her epithet with being Netherlily, after the carving she leaves behind after each job.

....never heard of a Tailed Beast that made you crazy XD just for having it. Even if I think Sagiso would be too strong too fast, this character arc does seem fascinating and it would give Azumi reason to look into it.

Why the Akatsuki wouldn't do the same, given it is just the 2 tails and second on their picking list, is another question.

Hmmm? Several, Shukakau's first Jinchuriki was a monk that secluded himself in a temple to restraint it's murderous desires. Mainly Jinchuriki of Shukaku are driven insane by it, but Gyuki apparently didn't like Blue B, they were supposedly 'incompatible' and he was a generally depressing kinda guy.

Can't say anything about the rest because they were all perfect Jinchuriki when we see them and they're either dead or dying. They barely have developed characters.

I'd argue these more, but it is getting late on my end and I've already caused this convo to last much longer than it needed to XD

I'll do my best and hope for the best that the Azumi/Sagiso fight is the best it can be and the most emotional it can be. I'll work to beef Azumi up so Sagiso doesn't stomp her, but it appears like a giant David vs. Goliath fight with David's stone replaced by a cheap rubber band and Goliath given an axe (Which is ironic cause the bad guy will be the big underdog going into it.)

See you all tomorrow :)

Well, your arguments are moot -3-

Despite it not happening frequently in canon, I will aim to treat Matatabi like what she is, a Bakeneko, so she's gonna be Sagisō's mental demon for some time. You can have a giant demonic cat sealed into you and then have it be all rainbows and unicorns :T

@Godjacob I need to get a post in and I want Mori to go talk to Onoki so I can check that off the to-do list. Point is, if I want to avoid awkward silences from Onoki after Mori is finished spewing his arguments I need a little bit of control over him. It doesn't need to be much, frankly all Onoki needs to say is "I'll think about it, you can go." and you can decide further actions he takes. I do not want to take a risk of getting this RP another strike by auto-ing and it would just make more sense for him to allow Mori enter his office rather than just barge in which it would be without some control. What do you say?

Had a neat idea, so Taiyo tells Tsunade about how the Jinchūriki is being a pain in the side and how he can go and collect 5-7 ninjas to help him take it down, which can segway into Taiyo breaking into politely entering the Hyūga manor to challenge their strongest fighter, who is likely Sagiso, to test her worthiness for this task. Copy paste this four more times and soon, a you have a team of kids who are going against a weird person with a fox thing inside of them and the Leaf kids flailing angrily fighting to get it out so they can use it for themselves.

Well, apart from the fact that you'll offend the whole Hyuga clan by doing that, I'll also have to put out my utmost to crush your as a matter of clan pride, and the 8 tails is an octopus not a fox lol
