I don't know about you guys, but Sagisō's leaving the Leaf to become a mercenary. She'll do a bunch of sell-sword work, gather a moderate amount of money, meet Oniyuri, meet up with Azumi, go cause chaos within the Yuki clan and pester their young master, visit Nadeshiko (perhaps Tayuya will be there), and generally just rampage all over the ninja world.
Believe the Chunnin Exams covered that at the tail end of it. Do elaborate on what would separate this tournament from the final Chunnin exam.

Hm. Kinda stupid of an idea, but I thought of like an unknown party hosted a tournament, in a safe zone where there would be no killing unless in the tournament arena, that way any hostile nations seeing each other wouldn’t instantly begin to fight
