Reaver’s power out of commission, but it usually destroys his suit as a result. It won’t be his go to attack. Sure it’s strong yeah, but if it’s evaded/in an way countered, he is defeated. Very risky.

Well upgrade gone as the suit is obliterated.
Well, in my opinion it doesn't really matter if it's a go-to or not. As long as the move exists it must be taken into account or it will, inevitable, lead to 'fluke victories' where the go-to argument becomes; 'It's cause Reaver wasn't going all out.' when the fight is viewed in retrospect.

Not by a long shot, as it’s an all or nothing move. Even if he won using it, he wouldn’t be able to act on the victory, as his suit would be demolished, his chakra gone, and in a metal coffin. Far from ideal, so it’s a last resort

I'll use Sagiso's assessment from the Chunin exams as an example.

She scored low in the power depart despite dropping an exploding tornado on top of Katsuo (I'm not even gonna argue.) because in retrospect, though she should've been capable of dealing more damage with the gentle fist or likewise another technique, and because she didn't use it, it affected the judgement on her as a whole.

It doesn't really matter since in most cases your opponent would be dead :T

It's a rather easy move to disrupt however, so generally it might not even reach that point.

Hence the hesitation in using it so quickly. It could do more harm to reaver than good in many circumstances. Besides, the mechanism is broken and the entire suit is wiped from existence

I have to agree with this. Even if Reaver is "limited" to a suit that can't use the x4 variant, any spear is still pretty much a match ender if it connects. Which either means the OC gets one shot or we have to do convoluted stuff to avoid dying painful deaths. Stopping it before it happens like kyuu suggested is a middle ground idea, but most spears don't require the lengthy set up the super one does.

If he won using it that means the opponent is dead. No reason to act on that.

Again, the only suit that can fire it is destroyed.

Standard spear of Lugh doesn’t need to be nerfed, and works fine as it is, as it’s a melee weapon that requires contact in order to succeed. And to get close to reaver is a bad idea in the first place, so I’m not sure who on earth would try that.

Mori would try it, he tried to tackle Reaver in his suit and failed miserably

Tomiko: Worked better than my digging....
Mori: I didn't just lounge around when skipping class, I could help you train to dig. Fighting without shame or principles is a decent plan at times, you should try it one day.

Well he tried to kick the leg of a mech suit. When was that ever a good idea? XD

*remembering obiwan and grevious*
Hey, it created a nice rivalry between them. Not too bad of a result.

tf I don't even see how much of a counter against earth style that even is. if anything it can be used as an advantage lol
When a big part of your strategy is to dig around and lay traps, hot rock that can scorch your skin is not really that nice for you. It would be like standing in an oven, and with your grave already dug

Tomiko: Wait Mori you know Gaia style?
Mori: No, it just sounds cool. And what even is Gaia Style?

It is an Earth style jutsu that requires the user to keep their hands connected to the ground to infuse chakra into it and create a large hand out of the ground. Not the best jutsu to use when outnumbered or when facing a fast foe. Not sure if you needed the explanation, but here you go.

Tomiko: A new type of Release I worked on. Lets me pull energy from the ground to heal certain injuries and replenish my stamina. Though I am hoping to expand on this for other, offensive uses.

Fair enough. Also gotta go to class soon. Be back ASAP.

Name: Setchi Hagoromo
Gender: Female
Age: 14
Jutsu type: Earth Release Affinity; Knows average Genjutsu while Ninjutsu and Taijutsu are higher than average
Description: Blue Kimono with Brown flower patterns; long brown hair; Black eyes; Hagoromo Clan symbol below the collar of her Kimono
Bio: Long ago before the creation of the hidden villages there was a wartorn era. Back then clans acted as mercenaries. The Hagoromo Clan was once allies of the Uchiha Clan against the Senju Clan. However, in the crossfire of a battle between the three clans, an Uchiha was killed once the Senjus retreated by a Hagoromo who thought they were still there.

A relative of the deceased Uchiha then succumbed to the clan's Curse of Hatred and convinced the others to betray the Hagoromo Clan, leaving the Hagoromos nearly extinct. Then the clan scattered and went into hiding until the creation of the hidden villages.

The great grandparents of Setchi and a couple other of Hagoromos stumbled upon Takigakure, the hidden Waterfall village. There they settled and had a part of the village for them.

Due to the betrayal of the Uchiha Clan, and the preexisting rivalry against the Senjus, Setchi began to despise Konohagakure and the founding clans in particular.
