Eh, that's where you're wrong.

As far as Baiyan was concerned Azumi and Reaver were a 'team' opponent, because Reaver wasn't human, and hence must've been Azumi's summon.

She kept her attention partially on Reaver because she figured he would've been a part of the battle. To say she wasn't taking the battle seriously is also an assumption. I didn't write her as being straight-laced or specifically paying rapt attention to the battle, but that's doesn't equate to her not taking the battle seriously.

She was incredibly cautious for the entire first half of the fight, and I played defensively. In fact, if you want to analyze all the battles I've ever RPed, then you'll realize that I rarely if ever, start out a fight in the defensive. There are only 3 battles I've ever been in where I started out defensively, Kai, Katsuo, and Azumi.

The first two being rivals to Sagisō and characters I always fight seriously because they're very skilled, and the Azumi because I was playing defensively to feel out your strategy. The Azumi fight was definitely one of the most serious fights I've ever taken, I created an entire slew of skills just in preparation for that fight.

For reference, I haven't taken any other fight as seriously as to start out on the defensive. Kabuto, Shura (both times), Taiyo, Zaku, Kidomaru, I went on the offensive for all of them.

Defensive battling isn't my way of treating a character as an easy fight. I only fight defensively when I expect a certain level of skill from my opponent and I refuse to rush in an just let things fall where they may. I've got a very high level of respect for you and your fighting style, more than you seem to have in yourself, and I can say with certainty that I don't mess around with battles against you.
In short, his OC’s start out defensively on those he expects a lot of resistance from

lmao, no, not at all. But Furījia vs Taiyo wasn't a fight I set out to win in the first place. I even said before the battle that I wasn't gonna bother with strategy, just an all-out offensive I could have fun with.

If you'd been facing Sagisō that would've been a totally different situation. I take all my fights with her extremely seriously, minus the date fight and her first battle against Reaver, which I treated more like skirmishes. Her first fight with Shura kinda flopped on Shura's end because he ended up unwittingly repeating Katsuo's strategies, and the second fight I took seriously, but not a 'plan out your demise' type of serious. Hence why even when I managed to trap him once I had no follow-ups to finish the fight lmao.

For Azumi's fight, I'd planned in detail, hidden her summon, was setting up genjutsu, was setting up an arena trap with the earthen walls, I put as much thought into that battle as my fights against Katsuo and Kai.

and those fights were very serious because Sagisō's never even used those killing moves on anyone else, ever.

Zaku

Raiku
I only see myself winning one of them lol.

Hmmm, to explain it better.

I fight in 2 modes;

Serious mode & Scheming mode.

In serious mode, I just let my characters battle to the best of their ability, in scheming mode you get all my attempts at traps and setups and whatnot.

Scheming mode is exhausting though and kinda takes the fun out of battles I have to be putting in so much work. I prefer to just be regularly serious.

Taiyo: Well I can't fight someone who just came back to life, that's mean. Plus you saved my life against Kin,(she wasn't that much of a threat tho...jk I would have died if she was going all out) Point is, enjoy yourself since you just got back.
I would’ve made a response with one of my other OC’s but then u would’ve said “says the person that barely anyone knows”

W-where’s fun and merciful mode?

I mean being cautious and playing defense is one thing, but I feel the way Baiyan had been written in that battle was not that so much as her indeed being rather casual and carefree.

But I do appreciate the fact you think my style was worth this effort on your end. Even if my "style" isn't so much consistent and really I was in complete and utter try hard mode for that specific fight cause it did mean a lot to me (Without going too far to hide things like say Azumi vs. Kiro).

*me when I fight soul*

(Also I hate how trying to select certain things on mobile barely works)

My fun doesn't involve showing my opponents mercy xD

The most fun I've had was a quick hand-to-hand exchange with Katsuo. I'm actually going to make things more fun for myself with Sagisō by introducing an acrobatic style to her fighting.

I prefer fighting based on instinct rather than planning out all my steps. Even better in melee brawls. I'm gonna have a world of fun with Kidomaru xD

Seiun: At least she has mist blood in her, more than I can say, unless, HEY TSUKI, GIVE ME SOME OF YOUR BLOOD!

I mean technically since some of Tsuki's blood is flowing through Taiyo, doesn't that make him .000000001% mist or was the pure blood already corrupted by Xeno Blood?
Kai: it makes you an abomination and need of death. That clear things up?
