Sorry for the late post. Today was my day off, and I need to go into town to get some dog food and other things for my fur babies. I really needed to get my puppy some puppy food.
As usual, no problem. If I really need someone to post, I usually either ask in a PM or in the discussion. But yay, I'm glad we're getting moving. It's creepy forest time. I like Viridian Forest quite a bit, mostly because I've been learning to play its music on the piano. (I'm rambling. Okay, Sorry.)
@ThAtGuY101, I have the random pokemon for you. If you want I can tell you what pokemon that was chosen now, or it can be a surprise for later.
Hey Emo, I hope it's okay that I kinda took control in my post a little bit. I'm just trying to get the group moving to the forest. I also was hoping you were okay with the idea of a gatehouse that also has a ranger station aspect. That basically just lets them check up on trainers that go into the forest and make sure they'll be all right, let them know if there are more Beedril than usual, and all the stuff you might find at a visitor center at a national park. That's kinda how I envision it at least. Information, rules, stuff like that. Just an idea, it doesn't need to be nearly that complicated.
I think it is a great idea. I would say they will also carry some basic camping supplies.
Not for free, but that could work. The Pokemon world in general is messed up economically, but not to the extent that they give out free camping supplies, please.

I was thinking it was more of like a loan type of thing, were at the other side of the forest, there is another ranger station tk check back in the equipment there.

My post has been edited. Also I hope you do not mind but I am coming up with a random personality for the pokemon that are given out to the trainers if I randomize them for you guys.
That will be fun to work with. (If you’re using the Random Pokémon Generator, you can see it to give you Natires as well as species, Type, and region.

@RenzFlintrock Route 2 is actually the route between Pewter City and Viridian City. There’s technically 2 paths on route 2: Eastern and Western. The Eastern path is the path where you need HM Cut to get through and the Western path has Viridian Forest in the middle.
Aaahhhh... that makes sense. But you usually can’t take the eastern route until much later... I dunno, should there be an in-game reason the group wouldn’t take the eastern route?
Well Friedrich clearly knows that you can go down it, so maybe it's used for something else, like vehicles...? Or it has a toll. Or maybe there's just no Pokemon there, and most people go through the forest because there are lots of Pokemon and/or it's prettier.
To be fair many people don't travel in between Pewter City and Viridian City so neither Viridian Forest or Route 2 see many people. Also I like to imagine people could go to route 2 and head north to Pewter City. The game I don't think lets you ,but realistically you could climb a ledge. assuming there are ledges. You could also for RP sake assume there aren't. Though it is out of the way, easy to miss ,and many people like reaper said probably don't know it exists.
Let's just say that the forest is generally more popular anyway because of how beautiful it can be. It's like choosing to go through a national park on your way to another city instead of taking a regular road, I guess.
I've decided that Terumi's 3rd pokemon is definitely going to be a croagunk (because my favorite poison type is toxicroak) but i dont know how to get a croagunk into kanto 
You might have to get it in a future region... although a global trad rmight be possible, but that would be up to Emo.

Croagunk and toxicroak are really cool. Trade with a random npc could be a possibility. Maybe someone else from Sinnoh had one. I'd assume the people at Pewter City museum could revive it. I know they can't in game but realistically it would be real helpful if they could. Cinnabar Island is super far far away story wise.

Umm, I think you can bring one Pokémon with you when you go. Like Ash does with Pikachu.
I plan to do that with all my pokémon.
I mean, im bringing both flare and aerosol (and if i ever get around to a point to were it's feasable to get a croagunk, ill bring it as well) when we switch regions
I'm pretty sure Emo said one Pokemon. And I don't want an over leveled beast on my team.
