Mostly how the RP started. Where are we gonna start? Where is everyone gonna be? Also, a lot of people have already commented and it's gonna be hard to catch up.
Not really. First. Start off by getting your trainer card. No rush. It's best to post when your ready.
What town does your character live in? Perhaps your character woke up. its morning. Everyone is waking up and getting their trainer's card. Maybe your character wants breakfast.
Most people are at their own houses so there is little to no interactions just yet.
Hmmm, alright. But what Region are we in right now?
You can start in whichever region you want. Everyone will eventually meet up in the same region. Which region is that? Right now there is no official meeting place yet.
So again. You can start in whichever region you want. You may have to fly or take a boat when the region is decided, but for now. It doesn't matter what region your in.

You begin in your home region, where your trainer card will be delivered to you. Once your trainer card has been delivered you'll be able to log into the United Pokemon League's website and select your Starter Pokemon. Your Starter Pokemon will be delivered to your house or the nearest Pokemon Center, depending on your preference.
Once this is done the Character will debate over which region they want to begin in. They'll be doing this online seeing as they're all in different regions. The results of that debate will be decided through the vote I had everyone partake in.
Once the debate has been settled then we'll all travel to the selected region and our travels will officially begin.
So should I edit my profile and say that he gets Scorbunny via United?
No, that's fine. The United is for people who's family doesn't have easy access to Pokemon.

The United Pokemon League added a link to their announcement and your character should get the notification for this announcement on their phone, laptop, pokegear, whatever! Remember this debate is via an online medium and the feeling we're going for is something quite similar to the discussion thread. If you want to distinguish what your character 'writes' from the rest of the post then I'd suggest using either a spoiler or a quote block.

We got up to playing around with the perks granted by each class and so I want to gather your thoughts on this set of perks:
Battler
As battle-specialists who focus on drawing the most out of a Pokemon's efforts, they will be able to perform EV training on Pokemon.Coordinators
As move-specialists who focus on utilizing a Pokemon's moves in the most effective way possible, they will be able to become move tutors.Note that a coordinator will only be able to specialize in a single type of move. So chose carefully.
Ruin Maniac
As history-specialists who focus on unearthing the past, they will be obtain a bonus to RNG when investigating ruins or searching for rare items buried underground.Breeder
As specialists focused on hereditary traits, they will have access to chain breeding and obtain a bonus to RNG when trying to breed egg moves.Researcher
As specialists who focus on the nature of pokemon themselves, they will be able to increase a Pokemon's IVs and (maybe) change it's abilities.Thoughts?
I would like to request clarification on tutors. Would that be a single elemental type, or like, one of Physical/Special/Status-type moves?
Single elemental type. The latter would give Coordinators too much leverage, that's also the reason I didn't select the coordinator types Cool/Tough/Smart/Etc.
The new system does add something special to each trainer class so I think it looks rather fair.
Can ruin maniacs have the ability to translate ancient texts? Assuming they visit somewhere like the Alph Ruins or other ruins...
I'd assume so, given they have the translation key and stuff

Characters will be able to start the RP with one passive ability/talent that is based on their lifestyle. For example, an athlete would be less fatigued after traveling over distances.
Then, starting a silver a character will be able to take classes and learn an additional skill to help them. The perks previously given to classes will be given to these learned skills. For example, a character that wants to become a breeder should probably take the class on egg-moves/chain breeding.
This system is still in its infancy, so ask plenty of questions.

Feels weird treating personal talents like a skill system in an RPG game.
It's a bit more work but will help avoid things like a character who is ridiculously multi-talented and excels at everything.
This is starting to feel like a video game.
Well, yes
PokeSync is about finding ways to implement the game's systems in a way more concrete than the anime. If it helps you then just call it your talents or strengths. It's mostly terminology.
Wait, we can have subclasses? 
Calling them talents would make it sound better in my head. These are just basically what our characters are good at based on their background.
Correct! Ideally you'd choose a proficiency that would help you in the Bronze league, but who you never know when you'll need to go mano-a-mano without Pokemon.
If that spells more sense to you then yea, call them talents.
Yes. Your 'class' refers to anything your OC is interested in, so if your primary interest is the League then you're a battler. You can have a secondary or sub-class, which is something your OC focuses on to a lesser extent. However, you can also choose to have an OC who's interested in everything, in which case you'd just be a general trainer.Wait, we can have subclasses?
Classes and 'perks' are now separate and you'll be able to learn skills later on in the RP and skills you learn will be able help your OC achieve what they want. So for a coordinator like Esther, my OC, I might have her learn have to do massages or create puffins to increase the beauty of her Pokemon.
Would this be a perk or a class?
