Well doesn’t that just sound like the female of some drama romance series. She's a criminal, her mindset is that she's unwelcome everywhere, no one wants a criminal by their side, and she's stuck to this for so long she'd rather be alone

Wait really? I mostly read anime so I thought it was the “discovering your emotions” type characters that are most used.As much as it does it's not, far from it actually, the most used stereotype is the cheating wife
Yeah, it would~Would the backstory still work if I just changed the names?
Well, in truth it's a twin-continent, I just didn't want to make the distances too big and the continent the mountain Lord is on wasn't completely done.Instead of one big island can it be multiple...?
:/ idk just ignore me
Well, you run the risk of people trying to kill you on sight and the various other 'perks' that comes with infamy, but overall that backstory shouldn't be too bad. There isnt much to note off except the ability rework and backstory addition (also need confirmation if the backstory is good with Senso lore)
Name: Cariss "Fya" Amierdal
Gender: Female
Age: somewhere between 23-29
Preferred Element: Fire/Flying
Description:
Cariss grew up in a small group of islands east of Senso, she grew up a Nomad under the care of an old man who'd eventually die and leave her alone as a wanderer, hitching rides on caravans, doing tasks for merchants and the sort just to get by with food and basic necessities, Gelis also has good reason to follow her around, being just a Fletchling back then, Cariss, even though just barely alive, took him in as a partner, they were better together, that was a given, until Cariss couldnt provide for both of them with just petty tasks, they both grew and so did their needs... They needed more... So they took more... Cariss learned to pilfer at the young age of 9, break into houses at 11 and kill for money at 15, her attraction to fire first started in a break-in, late in the night, she knocked down a candle due to her clumsiness and started a fire, she stared at it for quite a while as it grew bigger until Gelis urged her out the house to which she burned down the whole village and the surrounding fields to ash, and the entire time it had happened she stood there in awe in the middle of the flames in the constant cold nights she slept on the grass, the warmth they gave was like a spark to a dead circuit... and Cariss was now alive. She got to Senso by being driven out due to her crimes and by stealing a fisherman's boat and for a week she sailed before stumbling upon the shore of Senso, that was a couple of years ago, but rest assured she hasnt forgotten.
A wandering warrior from another land with a strange attunement to fire, a.k.a Pyromaniac, her constant aimless roaming has rendered her basically immune to nature's weather and a strong sense of direction as well nearly memorizing majority of the land layout the few years she had landed in Senso, along with the ability swiftly travel different types of terrain, while also negating any effects that reduce accuracy and movement.
Appearance: Cariss' hair is chestnut and long, reaching down to the bottom part of her back, the centrepiece of her outfit is a brown cloak, with scorch marks everywhere, her body also sports the same marks, with circular scorch marks around her arms and legs, the majority of the left side of her face is smeared with ash. What she wears under the cloak varies, from a white loose top and a pair of brown shorts to wearing nothing at all, she mainly wears a grey leather garb fading out into black as it goes up, the lack of cloth on her bottom half is covered up by grey loose shorts with multiple pouches while being bare footed, the only constants in her outfit is her fingerless right glove and her brown cloak as well as a worn sheath for her curved dagger on her hip.
Weapon: A worn, yet surprisingly sharp and durable dagger with a curved bump going inwards into the blade for catching bigger swords and snapping them.
Special Ability:Partner Pokemon: Gelis, a Fletchinder that carries around a brown pouch full of bottles of crude oil and cloth, trained by whistling signals to do what Cariss requestsHer infamy across Senso as a dangerous pyromaniac has been heard all across the region, her enemies (and allies if you by dear god you somehow get her on your side) will have decreased movement for 3 turns
Warlord: No one will control her ever again
A flying pokemon should be able to get just about anywhere within 3-5 days.So what about flying? I know there no way to calculate that in real life medieval time since that didn’t exist yet but in a pokemon world traveling via flying Pokémon should be quite common.
Yes, but a Rapidash is far faster than a Rhyhorn over land so the Mountain slowing it down would only be enough time for the Rhyhorn to catch up.Yeah I see, there are a lot of different Pokémon who are suited for different terrains so taking these modifiers in mind the travel time can vary quite a bit. Like a Rhyhorn would have an easier time scaling the mountain range than a Rapidash.
What was this about anyway?
Horse speeds vary immensely as well. A primed Racehorse can more than double the speed I've quoted, but they're bred differently. Also pokemon speeds vary way more than horses as they’re a huge collection of species.
Are you talking about the second continent?
Well, you run the risk of people trying to kill you on sight and the various other 'perks' that comes with infamy, but overall that backstory shouldn't be too bad.
But with pokemon we have flaming horses, lightning zebras, grass goats, rock snakes and ground hippos to name a few. Not all are equally given speed.Horse speeds vary immensely as well. A primed Racehorse can more than double the speed I've quoted, but they're bred differently.
Well, how leery would Zen'barr be of armed visitors?Alright, making my post now, should I have Ren be told by a guard about this approaching wanderer or shall I give that honor to my retainer? (@kyuukestu)
If my calculations are correct you’d be quite close to Chisana Niwa.I think ill be starting Cariss like three squares up and one square left from Moryurei, I'll figure out where she goes next as I read what the others have in plan
No actually you’re closer to Moku village. If my calculations are correct you’d be quite close to Chisana Niwa.
No? I think it's too far-If my calculations are correct you’d be quite close to Chisana Niwa.
Oh, yeah kinda, I'm almost certain that it'd be overall closer to Raithean Castle than anywhere else.No actually you’re closer to Moku village.
They're not, you're right about that. However, there's a limit to their stamina and no creature moves at full-speed for a long-distance journey. I'm treating them all as having relative maintainable travel speed and while I don't know about Hippowdon, Hippos are actually pretty fast on land. They can easily reach speeds comparable to a horse. But with pokemon we have flaming horses, lightning zebras, grass goats, rock snakes and ground hippos to name a few. Not all are equally given speed.
Then how about she simply keep an eye on him for now? If anything develops she'll immediately alert Ren.They'll be cautious of course, they're not the kind of people to immediately jump to conclusions, Ren's too kind for that.
You'd need ships or a suitable water-type Pokemon. None of our nations has that much reason to have ships, but it's certainly within the realm of possibility that they have one. I'd first point out that traveling by ocean in the dead of winter is near suicidal, especially if you get wet. You'd probably freeze to death before you got anywhere.Oh this reminds me, what about the sea?
Well, I think Astra needed a warlord, so the idea is to shuffle a few around a bit.Wait so I don’t have Gaius anymore?
I don’t remember coming to that conclusion but alright
I mean if you have too, though I really liked Gaius.
Oh, yeah I must've forgotten about that post, it was the one right before the one saying that the RP is up, you said-I don’t remember coming to that conclusion but alright
...Aand sniped again, yeah. The resolution was implied after you said:
and since all other parties involved were willing to go with it, it was chosen as the course of action.
What I posted is there. What I'm thinking is the Salamence was too dangerous to reason with, and the previous lord authorized it to be hunted and defeated, otherwise it could have destroyed the village. Maybe there was some history with it and the lord?could you send me the info regarding Astra’s backstory, like the Salamence quest you mentioned? There may be a problem with it since Komu Village is generally against harming Pokémon.
I mean I'd be up for Astra being a dad lol. But FE Fates says there's two retainers for most Lords. Also, it was stated that Ryuji is the descendant of the previous retainer... and if Astra was the previous retainer that could cause a conflict in backstories.
Was Corrin the only exception with having I don’t know how many retainers?I mean I'd be up for Astra being a dad lol. But FE Fates says there's two retainers for most Lords.
Azura doesn't have any.Was Corrin the only exception wit having I don’t know how many retainers?
Ohhh alright, I never played FE so I wouldn’t know. It can be a cool dynamic, Hanwon and Ryuji act like cousins, while Astra is the older generation uncle figure to both of them. Roughly what page is the Salamence backstory? I must’ve missed it and I didn’t see it on the character sheet. What I posted is there. Yeah sorry I’m changing the bio soon, but I thought it would be the easiest course of action.Wait so I don’t have Gaius anymore?
The previous lord most likely had another retainer besides Astra so he could be a descendant of that one.Oop okay, I have no objections I just didn’t know if we had reached a definitive conclusion.

As far as I’m concerned Kaze and Silas are the only ones who deserve to be called retainersWas Corrin the only exception with having I don’t know how many retainers?
Was it not on the sheet? Odd. I’ll get it from the private conversation when I get home.Ohhh alright, I never played FE so I wouldn’t know. It looks like we’ll be interacting a lot in this rp, especially since I was planning on Hanwon requesting the assistance of Snowe xD. I loved the idea of a Zorua master and I thought it would fit in well with the “mystical” aspect of Komu.
