Fabian watched them play as he finished half of his second bottle. He was a little more fuzzy in the head now, but he still had plenty of processing power in him. Heck, aside from the slight slur in speech and blush, he seemed quite sober. "Thank whatever gods exist I'm good at taking in my alcohol...and that I have so much blood in me to thin out." he laughed. He smiled as he watched the disco ball light up, then looked over to Cyrus and Jeanne, who had withdrawn from the game about three rounds in.
The two of them sat side by side in a booth, silently looking away from each other with blushes over their face. "Well...good thing the worst of it was done in round one..." Jeanne muttered.
"Yeah..." Cyrus replied without much focus. He then caught Jeanne looking his way and sighed. "What is it?"
"Well, normally you'd take any perverted chance to peep on a lady. So I was wondering...why didn't you take the one you were given by Ara?"
"You mean aside from the fact you threatened to kill me?" Cyrus laughed. "Or did you simply bluff to try and hide your true feelings?"
"I-I wasn't bluffing!" Jeanne snapped, going a bit redder, now. "I...I just wasn't expecting you to be a gentleman is all."
"Ouch. And you say I have brutal honesty." Cyrus quipped. After a moment, he spoke again. "It's because I care about you." Jeanne's mouth opened slightly as she listened. "You and I have been together for most of our lives, and honestly, I couldn't ask for a better best friend. After everything we've been through together...well, it's only natural I've grown quite a fondness of you."
"Th...thanks, Cyrus." Jeanne replied with a smile. She then heard Ara's invite. "So...wanna dance?"
"I don't see why not." The two of them got up and began dancing to the music's rhythm, syncing their movements.
