That’s right, another Superpower High School Romance (ETC) Roleplay Discussion

Well howdy- It’s been a while since I tried joining a role play, but now that I’m less busy, what better to do then join the reboot of one Id been in before?

I’ll of course use Ollie again- (Funny how there’ll technically be two students named Oliver in that school), and two other kids I made while making Ollie a backstory a while back. So, Um…Ill do that-

Please don’t expect all the grammar and stuff in these to be perfect I haven’t made an rp form in literally like two years now, AND I’m still learning how to work spoiler tags- So just warning you of the possible mess ahead-

Name: Oliver “Ollie” Thompson.

Age: 15.

Gender: Male.

Species: Human.

Sexuality: Bisexual.

Abilities and Powers: Telepower. (This is his name for it at least, as it’s 3 types of powers that all have the prefix Tele-.)

Ability 1, Telekinesis: Basic telekinetic power. The telekinetic energy appears to the eye as a blue-fire like energy. When being used on an object, the energy surrounds it. Any physical object/lifeform within a 30 foot radius, he can affect with his ability. He can lift pretty much anything under 1,000 pounds. Another perk of his ability is the power to surround himself in the telekinetic energy, to form a telekinetic exoskeleton of sorts. This repels physical objects from him to a distance of about 6 inches, so it’s close to a forcefield. Unfortunately, he cannot control this power well yet, and can only deploy it for about 2 minutes before it wears off.

Ability 2, Teleportation: Basic teleportation ability. He can teleport anywhere in a 2-mile radius. He needs to know where he’s teleporting to, or else he just gets sent to a random spot within the radius.

Ability 3, Telepathy: Basic telepathic ability. He can read pretty much any living creature's mind for about 10 seconds, and the ability itself has a 50 foot radius. He can also transfer about 10 seconds of thought to anyone within that radius. He can also send the same message to everyone within the radius, but this can only be about 5 seconds long, compared to the 10 second limit on his other abilities.

Pros of All Abilities: No need for physical combat, pretty hard to block.

Cons of Ability 1: If he holds something for more than about 5 minutes, he starts feeling dizzier and drowsier. The heavier the object he’s holding, the worse the effect gets.

Cons of Ability 2: The farther he teleports, the more pressure is put on his body. Too much pressure from this power could risk ending in broken bones. The ability takes longer to recharge the farther he teleports.

Cons of Ability 3: He can only listen into one person's thoughts at a time, and the ability takes around 5 minutes to recharge. This also leaves him dizzy for a few moments. When sending a message to multiple people within a radius, he can’t choose who hears it and who doesn’t, so even if he only wishes for like 2 people to hear, everyone in the radius will.

Cons of All Abilities: These abilities aren’t the most useful in physical or close range combat. Using any of these abilities causes his eyes to glow brightly. Once the glow fades, it can still leave him blinded for a while. Using these abilities for long periods, or too many times within a short period also can leave him with a splitting headache, or temporary high fevers. When his head isn’t clear(Headache, Fever, Any form of delusion, etc.), he cannot activate his powers. Finally, his powers are connected to his emotions. Intense fear, anger, or even excitement can activate his powers, which could mean objects being flung with telekinesis, teleporting at random to god knows where, thoughts being read unintentionally, or thoughts being transmitted unintentionally.

~~

Personality: Oliver is a timid individual, preferring to stay out of the spotlight and out of trouble. He’s the type of kid who’d be happy with letting another person have 1st place, and he’d be content with 2nd or 3rd place. He’s friendly, kind, and considerate towards everyone he meets, and has remained a mostly innocent and naive guy his entire life. He can get tricked pretty easily thanks to this. He has trouble standing up for himself, but he’s a loyal friend until the end. He isn’t too excited to be a hero, as he feels like he got in sort of dishonestly, but at the same time he wants to make everyone proud of him, so he’ll give it his all.

Way of Application(Completed test/Recommendation/Etc.): Oliver got in thanks to his recommendation by his parents. His father and mother were both pretty well known heroes at one point, and though they retired thanks to injuries from a villain attack, once they found out Oliver had powers they recommended him in. He did a little below average on the exams, but he managed to get in nonetheless. (He believes that it was only because he is the kid of two heroes, so he feels like he doesn’t deserve it, as in most cases the drawbacks of his powers outweigh their ability.)

Relationships:

  • Mantis Magarobi: Mantis and Oliver have been good friends since preschool. Since it was believed that Oliver didn’t have powers when he was younger, and people believed Mantis’s powers were useless, they hit it off as outcasts.
  • Bean Ikusaba: Bean and Oliver are friends. They aren’t the closest, but as they’re both close friends of Mantis, they get along.
Other: Thunder Quack.

Name: Mantis Magarobi.

Age: 15.

Gender: Nonbinary. (Born Male. Still uses He/Him & They/Them pronouns, they just heavily dislike and hate being called a male, as they don’t identify as one.)
Species: Human.

Sexuality: Pansexual.

Abilities and Powers: Density Alteration.

Mantis can change the density of pretty much any state of matter. They can make solid objects have the density of liquid or gas, liquids have the density of solids and gasses, and gasses have the density of solids and liquids. They can use these in a variety of ways. Their favorite being changing air density to make platforms to stand and walk on midair, giving solid objects the density of liquid so they can easily transport them in containers, and of course, changing solid objects density to air so they can walk through them. They can only activate this ability when they touch an object. When this power is active, their hand will be enveloped in an odd light-green light. Anything they touch after, they can decide the density change of. Whatever object they touch will be enveloped in the same glow. They simply have to touch it again with the power activated to delete the effect. So far, they can only change the density of non-living objects, but they had a grandparent with the same power who COULD affect living beings with it, so they’re aiming to unlock that power. The drawbacks of this power aren’t as physically harmful, but more so inconvenient. They can only have 1 object affected by their power at a time. So as long as they’re careful, they’re usually safe with this power. It’s not the best suited for combat, but Mantis prefers not to fight in any case.

~~

Personality: Mantis is a kind-hearted soul, and he wants nothing more than to try and be friends with everyone. His parents were very hands-off, which led to him not having many ways to go and befriend others. Infact, he only ever could befriend animals and insects, aside from Oliver and Bean. He’s socially awkward, and unintentionally comes off as a very strange kid. He’s hyperactive, overly-excitable, and very physically affectionate. He wants to be a hero to protect everyone he can. He doesn’t want to fight, however. So, he’s decided he wants to become a support hero of sorts.

Way of Application(Completed test/Recommendation/Etc.): Mantis passed the exam as one of the top scorers. He studied and practiced with Bean non-stop in preparation, and has always been one of the smartest and strategic kids you could meet.

Relationships:

  • Oliver Thompson: Mantis and Oliver have been good friends since preschool. Since it was believed that Oliver didn’t have powers when he was younger, and people believed Mantis’s powers were useless, they hit it off as outcasts.
  • Bean Ikusaba: Given the fact that Bean’s mother was a villain, and Bean’s father was a hero turned villain thanks to falling in love, Bean was never allowed near other kids, their parents often warning them to stay away from him. But, since Mantis’s parents didn’t care too much, Mantis and Bean hit it off. Bean and him are the closest of friends you’ll ever find, and they plan to be a superhero duo together.
Other: Thunder Quack Part 2: Electric Boogaloo.

Name: Bean Ikusaba. (No, that is not a nickname. Yes, that is his actual name. Yes he’s gotten bullied relentlessly for it.)

Age: 16.
Gender: Male.
Sexuality: Homosexual.
Abilities/Powers: Dimensional Storage Space.

Bean has the ability to manifest a 2x2 trapdoor, or a door, 8 feet in height and 4 feet in width, on any surface it can fit on. He only has to touch the surface he wishes it to appear on. When opened, a ladder appears for him to climb down if he places the trapdoor on the floor, a ladder to climb up if he places the trapdoor above him, or he can walk through a door like normal if he places it on the wall. Through the door is a room, 20 x 20 in size. (I shall add an image of what the room pretty much looks like.) He can put any living or nonliving object in this room, including himself. He can make the door/trap door lock or vanish just by touching it. He can make the door/trapdoor unlock by touching it again. This ability doesn’t have a time limit, nor hurt him in any way. But, enemies can also simply follow him in, or break the door open if they have the ability. He can only place one door at a time, and he can’t move the door, so even if he makes the door vanish while he’s inside, when he allows it to reappear, it’s in the same spot he placed it originally. It has no attacking ability either. It’s only use really is storage, and hiding. But, any item he places inside remains untouched and unbothered, so he could hide weapons, devices, or anything else that he believes would benefit him in battle.

~~

Personality: Bean is reserved and quiet. He doesn’t want any attention on him in most cases. He’s an introvert by nature, and doesn’t go out of his way to talk to anyone. But, if someone approaches him, he isn’t shy about chatting or helping out. He’s rather curious about how the world around him works, and he wants to study all sorts of superpowers. He holds hatred for the life he was born into, and he’s sworn to always help heroes. He’s pretty unsure of himself and nervous at times, but is a master at putting on acts to hide how he feels.

Way of Application(Completed test/Recommendation/Etc.): Bean got in via test. He was a little above average. He may have not shown many combat abilities on his own, but he was rather knowledgeable about how to combat other powers, and what gear he needed to keep stored to defend himself, and to fight. Being accepted also would help Mantis out when it came to combat, carrying different tools for Mantis to manipulate. Another more hidden reason was the knowledge of Bean being the child of a villain, so making him a hero could be more beneficial.

Relationships:

  • Oliver Thompson: Bean and Oliver are friends. They aren’t the closest, but as they’re both close friends of Mantis, they get along.
  • Mantis Magarobi: Given the fact that Bean’s mother was a villain, and Bean’s father was a hero turned villain thanks to falling in love, Bean was never allowed near other kids, their parents often warning them to stay away from him. But, since Mantis’s parents didn’t care too much, Mantis and Bean hit it off. Bean and him are the closest of friends you’ll ever find, and they plan to be a superhero duo together.
Other: Thunder Quack 3: The End of the Trilogy.

The room is pretty much only this, with invisible walls to block you from exiting the 20x20 size. It has a lot of random items scattered around that Bean uses but I’m not taking the time to add.

And, I boredly made Gacha versions of their appearances, so I’ll just plug that for their appearances since they’re all together.

(These are the uniforms they where when training/in combat. (Note: Bean just happens to be holding those two items, they aren’t part of his outfit in any way.)

Mantis Magarobi: 6’4”, 207lbs.
Bean Ikusaba: 4’8”, 88lbs.

And that’s about all I can think of- Nice seeing this rp is still around, and I hope to be a part of it again one way or another!

And gosh I hope I Didn’t mess anything up setting it up-

@Alternate_Mystery don't worry about OP, the Archangel of Death is a teacher, and we have multiple Demon's and a kid that can transform into a dragon.

Edit:OP is meaning overpowered.
We forgot about a guy harnessing cosmic powers, the other with gravitation, four Elemental powers and a guy who can Control axises on molecular level.

I think whole class is op as hell
