Open Welcome To The Vitala Region!

"Doublade doublade," the ghost type floated around the normal type carefully. Looking at the Pokemon with a wondering gaze. Val noticed her Pokemon was missing and looked over to see it. The trainer let out a sharp whistle and the ghost type came back, it's trainer patting it when it got into arms reach, "dou"!

(OOC: Sunny day powers up fire type moves, so beedrill would not be affected unless it knew something fire type.)

"Now Ninetales, fire blast, full power!" Volpe trilled in a sweet, song-song voice."

Ninetales blew another fire blast, one even more powerful than before at the small bug type

"BEEDRILL NOO" The flame hit with a blast fainting beedrill.
"Beedrill is unable to battle, nine tale is the winner"

"Arghhh, Go mudkip and use bubble,I heard you leik mudkips"

Volpe's eyes widened. Not water types. She hated water types!

Ninetales barely had time to react as she was hit by a stream of bubbles, knocking her out in a flash.

"Ninetales is unable to battle!"

Volpe's expression soured, "Ooh, now you've gone and done it! Go, Flareon, and use fire fang!"

Val smiled under her bandana, tugging on her hood to keep it up. She took out another one of her pokeballs and watched as it shook a little bit before stopping and a line shot from it. A Braviary now sitting beside her trainer, chest puffed out in pride. Val smiled at her pokemon and laughed a little, "good for you to join us".

"Now you've gotten on my bad side, Umbreon return. GO LAPRAS"Said zoda as he throw a dive ball.

"Now use Rain dance sweet pea"
It started raining.

"Braviary," the flying type cheered throwing her wings into the air. The bird pokemon's trainer shaking her head as she laughed at her Pokemon. Doublade floated back and forth beside his teammate happily crying out as well, "doublade"!

"Now, Flareon, use shadow ball once more!" Volpe commanded. With the power of her pokemon's fire type moves down, her only option was to rely n the one non fire type move that Flareon knew. Even if she was a gym leader, therefor, used to losing, she couldn't hand over the blaze badge without a proper fight...

Val looked over at the trainer who was situated at the other end of the stands and waved to see if he noticed she was there. The girl's hood and bandana covering most of her face and head, her eyes gave off a playful nature as she scanned the boy over.

Val watched as her Pokemon cheered, her ghost type now juggling his hilts as he spun around his feather teammate, "not bad. Not bad. If I say so myself".

"Braviary," the flying type cried in joy as she watched the water type attack. The bird puffing out her chest as she cheer in enjoyment.

"Eon!"

The little fire type was down in a flash.

"Flareon is unable to battle! And with all three of Volpe's pokemon defeated, the winner is Zoda.

"Flareon, return," Volpe ordered, beaming him back into his pokeball, before she went over to Zoda, a badge case in her hands.

"According to league rules, I must give you my gym badge," Volpe said quietly, "So, here you go. The blaze badge."

A gold badge, shaped like a tongue of fire lay in the case.

"I'll take that" and with a flash zoda was at pokecenter
"Nurse Joy could heal my pokemon"
"Ohh yes I can"
"Thank you Nurse Joy"
"{Insert healing nosie here}"
"Here you go your pokemon are all better"

Val smirked under her bandana and stood up, stretching her arms above her head as she did so. Her braviary and doublade following her towards the door as she passed in front of Daniel to make it. She turned to look at the boy as she walked by, hood and bandana still covering her but locks of strands of red and blue hair fell in front of her eyes, "hmm".

"That was explosive," Daniel remarked, wheeling towards the door. Val's eyes met his as he left the gym, wheeling at a steady pace as his pokemon followed him. It had been a long day, and right now, all he wanted to do was eat dinner--He was kinda craving pumpkin soup, so maybe that--And go to sleep...

Val made her way down the road and checked into a hotel before making her way to a community training area. Throwing one of her pokeballs up, her braviary appeared. The trainer gave a letter to the Pokemon, the flying type gave a sharp nod before soaring away towards the west, "say hi to mom for me"!

The next morning, Daniel had Lopunny wheel him out of the hotel after breakfast. Stella City was a good thirty miles from Fuoco Town, and it was up in the mountains...It would be a difficult journey for Daniel, since mountains weren't exactly wheelchair-friendly...

But, he had to go, since there was going to be a contest there. His plan was: Go through the grass in his wheelchair, and then have Honchkrow carry him up through the mountains to Stella City. If it all went to plan, he could be in Stella City three days from now...

Braviary returned to her trainer and Val walked into the gym with a proud stride. The girl calling out the gym leader, smirking under her bandana as she waited for a response, "hello? Anyone there? I've come to challenge this gym".

A woman in Ninetales gijinka emerged from the back room, her sandals clacking delicately on the ground as she came towards her challenger.

"Why, hello there!" she greeted, unfolding a huge fan, "I, Volpe, am the fire type mistress of this gym. If you think you can handle me, go ahead and try. If you win, the blaze badge will be all yours~"

"Then let's start, Braviary if you would join us," Val threw her pokeball into the air and flying type appeared soaring once around the gym before landing beside her trainer with a proud cry. Val laughed a little bit as she thought about how many ways she could win or lose, "this is your turf, you can go first".

"Very well," the proud gym leader chuckled, "Flareon, go!"

A pokeball with a burst seal on it was thrown, and out of it popped a fluffy, fire type eeveelution, along with some fire balls, from the seal.

"Now, Flareon, use fire fang!"

"Braviary, use shadow claw," Val looked at the gym leader, not taking her eyes off the other trainer as her Pokemon took the bite before twisting in the air and diving down, claws wrapped in a purple shade," the follow it up with rock slide".

Braviary's shadow claw landed a swift uppercut to Volpe's flareon, before the fire-type took several rocks to its small face.

"Now, ember!" Volpe commanded,

Flareon sprung back up, and fired small bursts of flame at Braviary.

"Dodge it and use shadow claw again," Val ordered quickly and the flying type spun around the bursts of flame but, one caught the flying types wing. The bird hit the ground but jumped up again and started to circle the fire type on the ground and dived down using shadow claw once again.

"Now, use shadow ball!" Volpe yelled, "Aim straight at the shadow claw!"

The little fire type did as it was told, firing a ball of purple energy up at Braviary.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lopunny pushed Daniel gently away from Fuoco Town, keeping on the path so that his wheels wouldn't get caught in the grass, or crush any small bug types.

The shadow claw was hit by the shadow ball, creating a large explosion. The flying type fell from the cloud, hitting the ground and not getting up. Val recalled her pokemon and threw out another, an Azurill appeared with a happy cry, "Azurill, use bubble".

"You did go, Braviary," Val mumbled as she tucked her pokeball back into her belt. The girl still looking relaxed in stance and not looking away from the gym leader".

Flareon cried out as a mass of delicate bubbles swirled around him, leaving him without any chances to escape. As they closed in on him, he cried out, and then hit the floor, as Volpe cried his name.

"Flareon is unable to battle!" The referee declared.

Volpe growled. "Now, go Vulpix! Use sunny day!"

"Use bubbled again," Val ordered and her pokemon followed it. The small Pokemon letting out a burst of bubbles at the vulpix as it bounced on her tail, "not bad. Not bad at all".

Val tucked some of her hair behind her ears. The girl's eyes playful as she watch the battle happening finally breaking her stare at the gym leader, "we arnt going down though".

"Azurill! Intercept it with bubble," Val ordered and the water type did so. Water and fire met creating a cloud of steam. Val watched thinking of the possibilities she could do to win and pulled down her bandana showing her smile, "use water sport next. Let's weaken those fire types".

"Azurill find the hole and use bubble," Val ordered beaming as her pokemon did as she was told. The water type ran up to hole Vulpix disappeared into and blasted bubbles down after spinning in a circle using water sport, "nice try".

"Vul-PIIIX!"

Chunks of earth flew up from the battlefield, along with Vulpix and Azurill. It was no contest.

"Vulpix is unable to battle."

Volpe glared at the challenger. "I've saved my very best till last, Ninetales, go and start with a fire blast!"
