Rinku

As Beam landed on the ground, Rinku himself landed nearby, his toes skirting across the sand. He wore a snicker like a comfortable pair of shoes until Beam began to budge. And his budging became movement, next thing you know he broke into a lunge!

That idiot is fighting the paralysis? That's incredible...but an incredible idiot is still an idiot!

Rinku watched as Beam cemented himself against the S class demon, further pushing against the cables, placing himself deeper into the grasp of the net so as Beam opened his jaws to snap down on him, Rinku flexed his fingers quickly, the cables folding around the upper and lower jaw, forcing the shark to snap them shut!

WHACK!

The shut mouthed head of Beam smacked Rinku, thrusting down him into the sand. The demonic child, now prone, looked up at beam, his cables further taking a hold, folding themselves in a tight muzzle around the mouth of the beast.

"That'll shut that trap of yours, but I'll carve some new openings for you!!"

Pink energy emitted from Rinku as he began to sap from his energy reserves to directly fuel his Yo-Yos cutting power. This was a move that would start burning up his reserves like gas if used for too long. But he didn't plan on taking too long at this. The Yo-Yos lit up with a purple aura as they span faster and faster, they're cutting getting stronger and stronger. Then, the notch they already made in Beam's skin became deeper and thicker, they were going to shred through Beam's neck until they all met each other in the center!

Beam
With his maw held shut and a shortage of muscles to pull it back open, Beam was stuck. However, he, in his frenzy, did not acknowledge this and lunged again. This time, though, Rinku had amped up his yo-yos, and they found themselves digging through devil flesh and severed several of his arteries and brain stem. As the corpse of the Beam launched at Rinku, fanfare played.

Winner: Rinku!

Kirin
Metallic creaking echoed throughout Mt. Chimney as the facility began to tear apart. Kirin didn't need to look back as she got up---Neph's focused stance and angered demeanor clearly meant she was taking the fight a lot more seriously now, and she was going all out with those massive chunks of steel.

Thinking on the fly, Kirin procured another set of talismans, flinging a few up at Neph, hoping that a psychic attack on this scale would leave her vulnerable for a bit, enabling a talisman to slip past her barriers. The Battle Priestess then promptly leapt off the bridge, plummeting into the scorching depths of the volcano, leaving the first of the chunks to smash through the bridge with ease, debris raining down into the pool of lava below.

Three talismans were thrown aside, these ones embedding into the rock wall at varying heights, the highest one about level with Neph's own position. Another piece of the facility came her way, set on a collision course with the Adept as she fell. Once again, she made use of her Arc Chain to warp to a talisman, vanishing in a flash of azure to reappear elsewhere.

Should the earlier talismans have struck Neph, she'd warp directly above the Pokémon to unleash a flurry of slashes. If not, she'd warp to the highest talisman on the rock wall, gaining back all her lost height in an instant, waiting for Neph's reaction. Kirin expected her to prefire another chunk of the facility at her position, something she did have an answer for, though it would be a big resource to spend. That special potion lingered in the back of her mind too...

Cayman
Chai and the two crimson brawlers arrived back at the plaza, which was decently populated with fighters. Some fights were already done, while others had yet to begin.

Cayman's eyes suddenly shot open, the large man using his arms to launch himself off of Knuckles' shoulders with shocking agility, landing on his feet right in front of Chai. He wasn't grinning maniacally anymore, but he kept a smile on his face. It seemed he'd recovered from his loss very quickly.

"Chai, that Duel was incredible! The way you fought and moved to your own rhythm was unlike anything I've seen before!" He exclaimed, before quickly wrapping one of his muscular arms around the future rockstar, pulling him in for an incredibly tight bear hug, too caught up in his emotion to even notice Knuckles.

Pit
Pit's face turned red at Dagr's comment before she left. She found him... cute?

"Well, she was fun to listen to. Ready for your next fight, mister tourney veteran?"

The angel snapped out of it, quickly reminded of the whole reason he was here. "Uh, yeah. One problem though, this guy's still out cold."

With Dagr gone, he couldn't drag him all the way to the gateway, so that wasn't an option. Maybe he'd wake up if he insisted enough? Moving a little closer to the large man, Pit leaned in. Raising a hand, he proceeded to tap the man in the face repeatedly, hoping the classic technique would wake him from his drunken slumber. It would be awkward if his new opponent joined the tournament just to pass out and miss out on his matches...

The Spirit of the Millennium Ring

The rock Kragg threw soared through the air and smashed the Morphing Jar, shattering the monster to pixels. Kragg's earthquake attack knocked Bakura off his feet, and the possessed teen fell to the ground. The Empress Judge was quick to return to her feet. She dashed towards Kragg, aiming a powerful kick at his side to stop him from getting to Bakura.

Bakura drew a card from his deck. The machine-type monster, Overdrive. The monster he used to represent the seventh tarot card, The Chariot. The sounds of an engine revving rang out, and for a moment the illusion of an armored military vehicle appeared around Bakura. Bakura grinned. Finally, the cards were speaking in his favor.
"You overgrown insect. Let's see how you handle this! I summon The Dark Ruler!" Bakura said.

The dark energies swirled around the duelist, congealing to a point just before Bakura. From the shadows, another monster took form. A massive figure in intricate puple, red, and pink clothing. It has a massive skull design on its front, and its skin was a sinister green. Two massive horns grew from its head. The fiendish overlord let out a dark chuckle, swirling its glass of red drink.
"Destroy him, Dark Ruler!" Bakura commanded. The Dark Ruler gestured towards Kragg, sending a blast of dark energy the warrior's way!

Weevil Underwood

His gloating over Raptor concluded, Weevil walked through the plazas. The battles were continuing to wrap up, all shown on those glorious television screens strewn about the waiting area. All the more time to observe his potential opponents. Weevil only bothered paying attention to the people in the winners bracket with him, all the losers could sort themselves out. Quite a few potential threats. Magalor, the strange yellow shopkeeper creature. It won its match when the Mr. Miracle dropped out. Nothing to see there. That was a bit of a shame, Weevil would have liked to get more popcorn from the strange magician. Another competitor that won by technicality was Irnane. A strange blue skinned woman, who looked more like a warrior-type or spellcaster-type duel monster than a person. From what Weevil was able to catch of her last fight, warrior-type and spellcaster-type fit very well for Irnane.

Then there was the strange red-skinned space man, Jeice. Weevil was able to catch a bit of his fight this time. Incredible strength, flying, energy beam attacks... Weevil would have to be careful if he faced off against that one. Then there was the match that just finished. The strange kid Rinku, against the shark creature Beam. Rinku could fly too, and seemed quite strong. The paralysis-chainsaw yo-yos would be quite a threat. But perhaps the kid would fall for the old 'playing a game' 'giving your opponent a duel monsters card' trick.

As Weevil sat down at a small table in the plaza and watched the matches, another fight caught his eye. Kragg, the massive bug creature, was fighting... another Duelist? Some white haired nobody, using a hodgepodge of cards. Who the heck was this loser?! Whatever. Then there was Aegislash, the living sword and shield. Its opponent, the strange plant dog creature, had also dropped out.

Huh. A lot of drop outs.

In the winner's bracket, that just left the matches between Nott and Ryuji, Kassandra and Alter Knight, and Warlock and Dart.

Say, all this thinking about winning reminded Weevil. That coin he got from winning the first match. Now he had more! Perhaps that store the Regular Shopkeeper had mentioned was open now. Weevil jumped off his seat and headed into the Regular Burger.
"Hey!" Weevil said to the Regular Waiter. "Is that weird coin thrift store open yet?"

FJORRD

Pit's finger prodded against the bearded cheek of the woolly man, before suddenly, his eyelids swung open and he snapped his mouth at the angel's finger, who yanked his hand back in surprise - a jest, as the nord proceeded to cackle like a grandpa who'd just pranked his grandkid. "Got you good! Bahaha!" Fjorrd laughed before he turned and grunted as he picked himself up off the ground.

"You were awake that whole time?" Pit asked.

"Only for a bit," the dragonborn sniffed, before he rubbed his nose to scratch it. "Enough to hear your tale, makes me eager to see what you can do."

Fjorrd grabbed a small pouch off of his waist and opened it, untying a small string. He then turned the tiny bag upside down - and a mountain of empty bottles of mead came tumbling out, creating a pile on the ground (evidently what he'd been drinking before he jumped into the lobby). Fjorrd sniffed again as he pulled the bag toward him, peering inside for a moment, mumbling something about vampires, before he reached a hand in, his entire arm disappearing inside of the small pouch, before he pulled out an iron helmet, complete with two wicked horns.

He slid it over his head, before he winked at Pit. "Since I'm fillin' in, I won't go too hard on ya. Tell ya what, let's make a deal - I forfeit the match if you do one thing in our fight."

"What's that?"

"If you can knock out just one single tooth from my mouth, you win," Fjorrd chuckled, before he began to lumber toward the gateway. "Don't expect it to be easy, though."

M.O.D.O.K.

"NO! I COULD NEVER LOSE TO THE LIKES OF YOU! I MUST..." the Man-Mind grit his oversized teeth together. "I NEED TO STUDY THE RELEVANT DATA, THERE IS A LOGICAL REASON SOMEONE AS PATHETIC AS YOU COULD HAVE COME OUT ON TOP. YOUR VICTORY WAS PYRRHIC, BUT IT SHOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED IN THE FIRST PLACE!"

Befuddled and sufficiently annoyed, M.O.D.O.K. hovered off in an aimless direction as he pulled up his holographic screen, studying the footage captured from their fight.

IRNANE

She watched him go, a mixture of emotion tainting her mind. The kinship she felt with him, despite the fact they were barely acquaintances, urged her to ask him to stay - if not for the fight, for the company. She wanted to ask him so many things, about himself, about queries she had regarding her own situation and place, but she held her tongue. It was not her place to stand in his way, now. She understood she had aided his progress, informed his recent decision, but... it felt strange, letting him go without fuss.

Instead, she bowed her head to the Count as he departed. "Good luck, Vlad."

And he was gone. Irnane could imagine the audience, and master hand by extension, probably wasn't satisfied with her recent bout. Action had been the promise here, and while she didn't much care for that aspect of things, she was aware that this was a blood sport, and despite an exhilarating first act - the fight had become something of a tender moment between two kindred souls.

With the world beginning to disappear around her, Irnane drew a deep breath, before she stepped through the gateway as well, returning herself to the lobby. Many might accuse her victory and progression in the bracket as unearned - but none would believe such a notion as much as she.

Upon returning to the lobby, Irnane was quick to realize Dracula was nowhere to be found - he had gone. She hoped he would find success in his endeavors, and redemption in his heart. However, with it all concluded, the dark elf knew she needed to refocus herself. There was no use lingering on what lie out of her control and influence. She was here to learn, to combat Oblivion itself. She would fulfill her goal.

KASSANDRA

A new world took shape. The beauty and grandeur of Alexandria was intermingled with a unique element. Marble pillars, vast streets, and the hot Egyptian sun remained, but now they were coupled with metal tracks, clockwork gears, and a sky filled with steam and smoke. They stood apart from one another just outside of Alexander the Great's tomb, and Kassandra was sure to procure her shield. It was Alexander's shield, really. It was symbolic in this instance.

"So, shall we begin?" the Knight asked as she began to fire arrows toward the misthios.

She easily sidestepped the first few, but the last hit, impacting the shield of Alexander - followed by a skybound bolt of lightning. Kassandra buckled, blasted back a few feet before she regained herself, digging her heels into the ground beneath her, coming to a stop. Lightning was what the Alter Knight used almost exclusively - one of the few elements Kassandra had no will over. Water and fire she could manipulate, even earth and air to an extent, but electricity?

"I suppose you answered your question for me," the spartan replied, before she launched herself, darting to the left of the street and bounding upward, kicking off of a marble pillar to close the distance with her opponent as she procured Arachne's Stinger, its green blade flashing.

NEPHTHYS

Kirin zipped and zapped all around to avoid the chunks as each was thrown her way. Unsurprisingly, the girl threw a few more talismen toward the gardevoir, who was able to evade them physically by moving through the air, her rage almost palpable. She knew giant chunks of building weren't going to stop Kirin - the human was too agile for that. Neph was just trying to wear her down, let her make a mistake, and then go to town when she did so.

Kirin managed to close the distance again, appearing higher up on the wall after warping to another talisman, but Neph hovered away, hurling one more chunk of the facility toward the battle priestess. She continued to hover away, intending to lure Kirin toward the most flammable part of the facility they found themselves in, simultaneously casting Dazzling Gleam toward Kirin behind the chunk of facility.

The gardevoir was fuming from the hit she'd taken, the pain resonating along the slash on her face. She couldn't so much as see out of the damaged eye. She'd have to rely on the other moving forward.

DART

He plays an idle animation, placing his hands on his hips and tapping his foot on the ground, waiting for the Warlock's post.

Sonic the Hedgehog
A genuine grin spread across the hedgehog’s face in response to NiGHTS’ fighting spirit, looks like they were both in agreement! “Well then, enough sittin’ around! Time to cut to the chase!” Sonic sprinted towards the same archway the nightmaren flew into, blitzing right past Knuckles and Chai with a quick “Hi Knuckles!” and a subsequent “Bye Knuckles!”.

Skidding to a stop with a sound similar to a race car hitting the brakes, Sonic looked at the, now familiar, white void he found himself in once again. The computer voice tried giving its typical introduction but the impatient hedgehog cut it short. “Yeah yeah yeah, take us to Seaside Hill, won’t ya?”

Jevil
The mentally unstable jester turned his head around at unnatural angles to follow Ripper Roo’s movements as the kangaroo bounced around in a manner not too far off from how Jevil himself would, although less in a dancing way and more in a needs-to-be-tied-down way. Once Roo landed in front of Jevil, the darkener leaned down from his aerial position and grinned at the kangaroo, understanding his intentions somehow.

”You want an explosive bout, methinks! Very well, well! T’would be rude of me to deny you your dream!”

With that, Jevil spiraled over to a nearby archway and vanished into it without another word.

Knuckles the Echidna
Knuckles scoffed at Chai’s sass, rolling his eyes a bit. “Dumb luck shouldn’t be something you rely on.” The echidna continued to walk and talk while nearing the archway, thinking for several moments before the young man asked him how his knees weren’t broken, Knuckles letting out a chuckle. “That measly drop? Even you could’ve survived that.” He began, before second guessing his statement. “Actually, you’re kinda scrawny…” He said, not actually meaning any offense and simply making an observation.

As they exited the archway, Cayman immediately sprung up off of Knuckles’ shoulder and landed with surprising agility, sinning Chai’s praises, much to the echidna‘s intrigue. “It’s unique, but unrefined.“ He pointed out towards the both of them, crossing his arms. ”With proper technique, he could be a formidable foe.”

Rinku

As Beam died by his chainsaw yo-yos, beam severed his head and yanked it off of his body by pulling on the threads. They're lead to a shark head taking to the air, catching itself in the threads and hanging there like a net. Rinku gave a whimsical smirk.

"Gotta admit, you showed more spunk than that inky bozo, but i was just out of your league."

Turning to the rift that showed up to leave the setting, Rinku gave a glance back to the shark head behind him.

"Still. You actually did give me a warm up. Now I'm ready to take on the real competition."

With that, he tossed the severed head of Beam into the portal, letting it slap and slide across the ground in the plaza, the rest of the body quickly reconstituting as Rinku himself put his hands behind his head and meandered out.

Chai

"Scrawny?? You are like, half my height!" Chai replied to knuckles.

As they both went through the portal, it didn't take long for them to be instantly greeted with Cayman resuscitating, leaping right in front of the guitarist, which made him flinch instinctively.

"Chai, that Duel was incredible! The way you fought and moved to your own rhythm was unlike anything I've seen before!" He exclaimed.

Not a moment later, the strong man brought him into his tight embrace. The air was squished out of his lungs and his body began to twitch. He could practically feel his spine cracking.

"Help...no air...can't breathe."

NiGHTS

Next to sonic, who was deciding on seaside hill, the purple jester got an idea, putting a finger in the air.

"Oh! That would go well with one I'm thinking of!" NiGHTS proposed, looking up to the AI. "Computer voice, queue up aqua garden if you don't mind."

They got the green light. The place began to transform to fit both settings they selected. The zone gained a sandy, grainy shore that stretched the whole map, littered with checkered patterned pillars of rock that supported islands that gushed with waterfalls. Coral was planted everywhere on the land with fish swimming through the air.

Statues, small temples, opera houses, and tiki like poles were erected across the land, along with geysers spewing refreshing temperatures of water. Bubbles of water were floating everywhere, seemingly solid and swimable alongside a sky, made completely of a giant long bubble of water. In the center of the stage, a crashed pirate ship was smashed over a trench that gave off a sinister aura, red ribbons of energy leaking out.

Sonic Vs NiGHTS...BEGIN!

Ripper Roo

Bouncing right along with their chaotic companion clown, the blue kangaroo hopped inside of the rift, standing in place, his crazed face and lapping tongue not bothering to contain his laughter.

"Blehehehe...huhuhuh...hehehehahahaha!"

Looked like he wasn't going to be picking a map, instead anxiously waiting till he could blow Jevil up!

Ryuji
Moon Wing protected Nott from the attack again.
"Tch." Ryuji replied to Nott. That bird was a pain in the ass. He'd have to take care of it.
Nott hardly would give him the chance, already back on the offensive. She stabbed again and again as Ryuji attempted to evade, his lackluster agility barely keeping up before he saw an opportunity and grabbed at Nott's spear.
"HA!" he laughed proudly. He got her!
Then Nott kicked his shin.
"OW!" Ryuji yelped. He fell down on one knee, painful memories of Kamoshida flooding back to Ryuji, but the phantom thief's grip on the Nott's weapon would not weaken. His leg wasn't totaled yet, but it still hurt like hell.
"You're gonna pay for that!" roared Ryuji.
The phantom thief got even more fired up, using his position to shove his Mjolnir into Nott's torso, while William would unleash God's Hand into her side!

Lucario
Mudkip displayed quick reflexes in its movement, despite it's reckless tackle at first. The aura pokemon kept up the assault, already following the water type towards its mini island. Lucario sidestepped as many water guns as he could, though a few had to be blocked by his arm as he closed in. Lucario summoned his bone staff, then threw it as he leapt into the air. The staff proceeded to rapidly boomerang around and beside mudkip, sweeping through his island. Meanwhile Lucario came from above, ready to catch and slam Mudkip into the ground whether he dodged the staff or not.

Alter Knight
"Excellent." Alter Knight replied just as dryly.
Kassandra was simple, bounding off a pillar to close the gap between the two. For someone like her, Alter Knight knew it would be difficult to stop her. Yet she wouldn't make it easy for Kass, pulling back the string and firing a multiple arrows in a large wave as if to block her approach.

Audrey Redheart
The Hero gasped out in surprise at the uppercut, sent flying upwards and back from the blow. She landed on her back, groaning as she heard the obsessive cultist cheered for Troy.
"Will you shut it?!" She yelled at Allison, getting to her feet, her voice louder than any chant Allison could muster. She dashed forward again, as if aiming to tackle Troy into the ground and pummel him...Only to suddenly dart right past with a quick burst of speed, sliding to snatch her sword out the ground. Wiping a small leak of blood from her nostril, she raised the sword in her hand again and pointed it at Troy

"I won't you land that cheapo shot again, Villain!" She scowled out as she steeled herself to keep fighting.

Axe
Axe turned his head to see six spiked sand tendrils headed straight for him. Grazie said...something, though he couldn't really make it out given both the distance and the fact that he was running. And now, dodging.
"Hup!" He dove out of the way of the first, and hopped back to avoid the second. Following that, he used his shield to keep up to block the next two as he kept moving. Finally, however, the fifth struck him, predicting his path as it struck his front. The other came right for him...Only for him to disappear in a green flash of light.

"That was close!" His voice suddenly called out above Grazie...Only to pause as if he figured out where he was. "AH!" He fell right towards Grazie from above.

Masaru Takahara
The fighter couldn't help but smirk as he saw the crack. Good, he was making an impact. Then, his next somewhat clumsy swing missed, and he naught moments to react before-
"Ghk!" The sharp knife jabbed straight into his abdomen, causing him to back off as he held the wound in his hand. "I've...had worse." He assured himself, as he breathed slower.
Focus... If he's adapting to everything I do, I can't just overpower him with more and more techniques and swapping styles...And yet, if I stick to one long enough to overpower him with it, he'll learn everything about it!

What if...!

Suddenly, Masaru leapt forward again, ignoring his injuries and taking to no stance nor real technique, instead opting for sheer force as he moved to rip Taskmaster's shield from his hands! It sure wasn't subtle, but subtlety falls flat in the face of might.
Then his leg moved to sweep Taskmaster's. That would be the subtle part.

The Warlock
The Warlock was snapped out of his defensive shielding just moments after the wave of heat, though it elicited noticeable sweat. Still, he rose off his knee to his feet, and sneered as he saw the approaching Dart and the corpses around the two.
"I'm not shocked you don't feel bad for killing them all. They're just as human as you, after all." He decided to taunt once more, a sneer of disgust at that term, before realising Mind Crusher was still in Dart's hand. He had to act fast. "That sword will not save you." He added, taking a step back.
And drawing his gun, attempting to fire it at the Mind Crusher, to try and either shoot it out of Dart's hand or destroy it. He then began to run, jumping away behind buildings to gain distance.

What a coward, running away when it was clear he couldn't win the battle there - Something he would've mocked someone else for doing.

Nótt

Skull had grabbed her lance. Why was everyone doing that. He certainly had quicker reflexes than Nótt expected. Perhaps she should have expected that, didn't he call himself a Phantom Thief? The Princess sidestepped the jab from Mjolnir, but the powerful punch from William struck her in the back. Nótt gasped and staggered forward, but still kept her grip on her lance. What strength! A hit like that could have been a knockout blow if it hit her head. She attempted to push Skull aside with the side of her lance.

"Dragon Fang!" Nótt exclaimed. Magical Energy taking the form of a dragon's head blasted up Nótt's lance. The 'Dragon' roared, attempting to blast Skull and the arm that was holding her lance!

Sonic the Hedgehog
Tapping his foot on the sandy shores of the massive island, one of many, he found himself on, Sonic let out a whistle as he looked at his surroundings. Beautiful beaches, water and islands that stretched as far as the eye could see, and some massive stone palaces to top it all off. “Hey, not bad! We should vacation here sometime.”
Rolling his shoulders, an excited smirk came across the hedgehog’s face in anticipation of the upcoming brawl. “Ready?” He asked, although he didn’t wait for a response. “Cool!“

Wasting little time, Sonic blasted off from his starting point and reached NiGHTS in an instant, jumping off the ground and going for a flying kick with his tremendous momentum!

Jevil the Jevil
Observing the mentally deranged kangaroo with amusement, the jester didn’t even bother saying his map choice aloud and let the machine read his thoughts instead. And just like that, their surroundings began to shift into that of a large field brimming with scarlet trees, purple grass, and a large castle in the distance. A thick forest of similarly colored trees could be found not far from their current, much more open, location. Nearby, there was a small tent-like building made of fabric with the words “Shop” above the entrance.

Jevil took a deep breath and sighed as he took in the air. “Ah! ’Tis a shame they locked this place up!” Then, rather abruptly, he disappeared in thin air and reappeared right in front of Ripper Roo with an unsettling, toothy grin on his face.

“R E A D Y?”

Knuckles the Echidna
Knuckles‘ eyes widened to a cartoonish extent when Cayman abruptly leapt off of his shoulder and gave Chai a monster bear hug. The echidna looked the two up and down, questioning whether they were friends or enemies, before, perhaps incorrectly, deducing that they were neither. Noticing that the scrawny boy was struggling for air, the echidna sighed and walked underneath Chai, as he was currently suspended in the air by Cayman‘s hug. With one tug of the leg, Knuckles pulled the young man out of the surprisingly deadly showcase of affection.

”You’re proving my point.“ He said, dusting his hands off. “You’re unique, I’ll give ya that. But if you can’t handle yourself in any physical situation, you’re gonna fall flat.”

NiGHTS

In a flash Sonic started the fight, in typical sonic fashion, jumping in with the first attack. A kick flew upwards, which NiGHTS took in stride. They let it hit, falling with the momentum of the kick without resistance, limiting its effect as they flew through the kick in the air, sparkles falling with them. Falling down, feigning their damage, NiGHTS opened a single eye and grinned back to Sonic.

"Impatient, aren't we, needlemouse?"

She gave a wink before backflipping, fast through the air, diving with the momentum of the fall and connecting the sparkles that followed her. So when she corrected herself-

Fwoooosh!

A paraloop was completed, crushing force coming in quick all under sonic in a wide area, and without anything for him to cling to or springboard off of to help him evade!

Ripper Roo

It even a second after Jevil popped the question did Ripper Roo vomit a stick of dynamite in point blank range, the stick spit going to glob it onto the Jester's forehead with a short fuse before Roo twisted his body around unhealthily. Then like a blue spring, he shot high into the air, extraordinarily so. The deranged marsupial hadn't landed yet...in fact was still gaining altitude.

Chai

With the sound of peeling skin and cracking spine, Chai was successfully pried off of the much larger man, slapping face first into the ground. 808 landed on his back, giving a panicked meow before skittering off to the side.

"...That's for the tip..." Chai muttered, his face in the concrete, sticking a finger up.

Slowly rolling over on his back, Chai breathed in a well needed breath of fresh air as a sense of relief washed over him. Catching his breath, he turned to knuckles, giving him a pair of finger guns, having energy not unlike a certain familiar blue blur.

"Didn't need muscles to take you on, eh?"

KASSANDRA

The misthios kept her momentum, dropping to a side and skidding across the ground as the arrows sailed over her, and she was back up, nearly upon the knight already. With one arm hefting the shield of Alexander for defense, and the other wielding Arachne's Stinger, Kassandra led with a series of smart slashes, using the agile weight and size of the blade to deal rapid attacks while she interceded her offensive with spins and movements to put the shield between her and her opponent, blocking any would-be counters while unrelenting in the melee assault. Should the stinger meet Alter's skin, it would inject a lethal poison that would gradually wear and tear the spartan's opponent down.

Assuming she wasn't immune to such effects.

DART

The Warlock's ranged weapon appeared as he taunted the mercenary. Having seen what it could do in the fight against Lucario, Dart turned his body, grabbing a smoldering leg of a Lost corpse, and flinging it in the way of the projectile.

The body was eviscerated on the spot, leaving the air sizzling for a moment as Dart walked through it, his gaze maintaining its serious quality. He stopped when the Warlock turned tail and began to run away. The Red Warrior looked about at the buildings. Normally he'd be impressed by their scale, making this some wonderful, yet horrible jungle of dilapidated metal and eroding rock.

The gravel beneath his feet crunched as he turned his heel against the ground - and kicked off, dashing toward one of the many buildings. He leapt off the ground, and crashed through a cracked window a few floors off the ground, rolling back to his feet to continue sprinting. He'd entered some kind of spacious room, through it was made more spacious by the lack of several walls, leaving rubble in their wake. Finding another set of windows, he ran alongside them, gazing out to see the Warlock still racing away in the street below.

Smashing through another window, Dart came down from above upon the Warlock, brandishing his blade with intent of plunging it upon his foe.

Kirin's read had been correct - one last chunk of the facility was flung at her. Without a talisman to warp away to, she had to face it head on, gripping her blade tightly as she focused, taking a deep breath.
As lightning cleaves in twain
As a gale surges in a meadow
So does Shadow Yakumo

"92nd Rite - Divine Ruin Arc!"

The Adept of Radiant Fetters slashed away at the structure heading towards her, arm becoming a blur as the large chunk slowed down considerably, beams of violet, lightning-like energy cutting through it in an instant. After a moment of this, the Battle Priestess sheathed her blade before-

SLICE!

The entire chunk fell apart before her, sliced into much smaller pieces that fell to her sides and into the lava below, taking out pieces of the bridge as they did so. That technique was fast and powerful, much like the 88th Rite she'd used against Rex and Weevil, but it had a hefty cooldown on it. Not something she could depend on, so it'd be in her best interest not to get caught in a situation like that again.

Dropping down onto a mostly undamaged section of the bridge, Kirin was quick to give chase to her opponent, the Gardevoir seemingly retreating towards what remained of the facility, an inversion of their positions just a moment ago. Dazzling Gleam was cast the priestess' way, Kirin raising her blade to shield herself, a few projectiles pinging off of it while others dug into her skin, causing her to grit her teeth. They weren't the most harmful considering the attack spread out considerably during its duration, though it still hurt quite a bit.

Procuring another set of talismans, the Adept threw a quick barrage up at Neph, though the odds of one landing were slim. It was mostly just to keep her opponent busy - the less time Neph spent conjuring ranged attacks, the better.

Cayman
"He's got some fire in his soul, manly red stranger. That fuel can drive any warrior to the very top!" Cayman said in response to Knuckles' comments, seemingly unaware of the fact that he'd nearly crushed Chai just then. How he'd immediately qualified the echidna as manly was also beyond either fighter. Perhaps it was some sort of sixth sense.

Chai's following words got his attention, the muscular Adept putting two and two together as he raised a brow.

"Wait, you two have Dueled before? Amazing! What was it like? Did this guy pose a real challenge? Ooh, I want to Duel him too already! Those fists look like they could pack a serious punch!"

Pit
"Just one single tooth...?"

That was an interesting proposal. The angel had plenty of experience shooting down enemies both quick and strong, so that sort of challenge probably wouldn't be that much of an issue. Fjorrd seemed completely serious, though. Was he hiding something?

Eh, guess he'd find out soon enough.

"Alright, you're on!" Pit replied, pumping a fist with a smile as he ran after Fjorrd, catching up quickly before zooming past him and into the gateway. There, he was tasked with choosing a map once more, though he didn't think about too much.

"Let's go with Reset Bomb Forest!"

"Interesting choice. Why'd you pick that one?"
"Just wanted a cool place to fight in."

Grazie
"Hey, where'd ya go?"

That flash of light was a little familiar. Grazie began to fall as the green light vanished, momentarily confused before she heard Axe's voice above her. The boy's body slammed into her as they fell together, the Adept grasping her staff before frantically swinging it at Axe like a bat.

"Don't scare me like that! D'aint right, y'hear?!"

With one more swing with some more oomph to it, Grazie attempted to knock him away, conjuring a large mound of sand below herself to cushion her fall. This kid was really full of surprises - he'd really had an unfortunate match up last go around with all the tricks that had been going on. Even she'd had some trouble keeping up.

This fight was shaping up to be a whole lot different.

Sonic the Hedgehog
Sand particles flew off the ground from the impact the kick created, though Sonic could tell it didn’t hurt NiGHTS all too much since they moved with the impact. Bouncing back from the kick, the hedgehog landed on the ground with style, smirking back at the purple jester. “Why dilly dally when we can just get on with it?” He replied, watching NiGHTS as they flew around in a paraloop. Fortunately, he knew his friend well and responded accordingly.

Sonic curled into a ball, jumped into the air while spinning rapidly like a buzz saw, then shot down into the ground, burrowing straight into it! The Paraloop was completed above-ground, so the hedgehog was safe and sound. But he didn’t come out right away, staying underground at an unknown location for several seconds.

THEN he shot out from the sand right beneath NiGHTS like a bullet, curled into a ball to ram into them!

Jevil
The jester went cross-eyed to see the stick of dynamite that stuck to his forehead, the fuse ticking down at an abnormally fast rate. As Roo sprung up high, all the kangaroo saw was Jevil looking up at him with an amused expression. After the straitjacket-wearing inevitably lost interest, Jevil vanished, unbeknownst to Roo.

As Roo reached the peak of his hop, he was greeted by—Jevil?! The jester still had the stick of dynamite, tossing it up and between his hands in a juggling motion alongside two yellow balls. “Greetings, greetings!” Jevil tossed all three items into one hand and waved at Roo with the other. As the fuse was a second away from reaching its end, the jester tossed the dynamite (and the two balls for some reason) at Roo and it exploded, sending the both of them back in opposite directions.

Jevil swiveled to a stop uninterrupted, but Roo wasn’t so lucky. The blast had sent the kangaroo flying, right towards a cluster of spades that appeared behind him!

Knuckles
The echidna didn’t appreciate Chai’s comment, baring his teeth a little bit as he growled under his breath. “Can it, that was a trial. Big hand guy told me to take it easy on you, just like that squid kid.” Knuckles waved a hand dismissively. “If you want to prove yourself so bad,” He jabbed a thumb to a sparring area in the distance. “I’d be happy to “teach you a lesson”.” He pounded his fists together.

NiGHTS

Sonic burrowed into the surprisingly soft ground in order to evade the paraloop, which went off overhead. Knowing what Sonic was going to do next didn't require a psychic. Taking out their hand, and extending a thumb, NiGHTS waited till they heard the queue.

As soon as they heard the sound of dirt displacing, they put their mouth on their thumb and blew air into it. Suddenly, NiGHTS's body began to expand. He center body inflated like a balloon, so when Sonic struck it, he sunk into it like a pillow before being flung back out at a nearby marble pillar!

Letting go of her thumb as she deflated, she cupped a hand over the right side of her mouth as she called over.

"Enjoy the trip, blues!"

Ripper Roo

The airborne ex-asylum Aussie had prepared something when he'd land, however, he wouldn't get the time to enact it, as Jevil appeared right up in the sky with him, and tossed two balls along with a familiar stick of dynamite towards him.

"Bleh?"

KABOOM!

Roo was sent spiraling in the opposite direction, completely vulnerable to a shotgun blast of spades that dug into the deranged kangaroo's back. While the damage was apparent, it seemed to invigorate Ripper, as they spiraled down to the ground with pieces of fabric and fur flying off him from the damaged received by the spades.

"Hehehehe...hehehehehe!"

He landed down with a stomp. The ground seemed to shake briefly before a rain of red and green crates spiraled down from above! The red had a yellow stamped "TNT" label on them while the green ones had a similar colored text saying "NITRO". Jevil would find himself getting rained on by the assortment of colors, those of which Jevil wouldn't know what color did what. All the whole Roo was spinning his head 360°, laughing it up as he hopped madly in place.

Chai

"...Nah. I'm good." Chai deadpanned. "Besides, beating you once was soooo totally enough for me."

He said this as he stretched, getting up as popping was heard in his joints. Flipping his hair back, he leaned on Cayman, swivel ring his metal arm to point at him, he mused to the red echidna.

"But I know someone who'd be interested in taking you up on that. Unless you don't feel like getting your face beat in?"

Jevil
The jester giggled with excitement as Roo was struck by the spades and tumbled along the ground. “HEE HEE! The numbers fall, fall!” He spun around in the air like a twister, moving around rapidly in the air with a “WEEEE”.

Soon after, he flew into a red crate with a cut-off laugh, being replaced by a surprised chuckle.

3

The crate started glowing and beeping, counting down from 3. Jevil could do anything, which included deducing that the crate was a bomb, which wasn’t surprising given his opponent’s nature. A sane person would use their remarkable ability of flight to delicately dodge and weave out of the way of the bombs.

Jevil was not a sane person.

The jester looked up at the rain of explosives and his grin only widened. With a snap of his fingers, Jevil summoned some deadly rain of his own, only this one consisting of large scythes instead of crates! The weapons pierced the air as they rained down, slicing through many crates and causing them to explode prematurely and create visuals not unlike fireworks.

The scythes didn’t go through all of the crates, however, and the crates weren’t able to cancel out all of the scythes either. Many crates still hit the ground, though Jevil was too high up to be all that concerned. Roo’s main problem was with the remaining scythes that were raining down around him, creating large pillars of damaging light wherever they landed, like a laser coming out of the ground!

Sonic the Hedgehog
Sonic was sent flying towards a nearby marble pillar, although this didn’t concern him too much. The hedgehog kicked off of the stone structure with finesse, flipping around in the air and landing in a Spider-Man-esque manner. Looking up with a smile, Sonic took off running again, not letting up for a second. Kicking up a storm of sand, the blue blur circled around NiGHTs and whipped up a blue cyclone composed of razor sharp wind that lashed out at the purple jester! (Small section, I know)

Knuckles the Echidna
Knuckles’ eyes narrowed in a mixture of disappointment and frustration, his facial expression falling lightly. To put it quite frankly, he was bored. Sparring with the shrimp would’ve helped alleviate the all-encompassing boredom of being stuck in the audience. “Tch, your loss.” He crossed his arms and began to turn around before his attention was caught once again.

“But I know someone who’d be interested in taking you up on that.“ Chai said, the echidna’s ears perking up.

Turning around, Knuckles looked at the man he had previously carried on his shoulders. Truthfully, he hadn’t been paying as much attention to Cayman as he had to Chai getting whooped in most physical altercation. Plus, he had zoned out about half the time, so he wasn’t too aware of the brawler’s abilities or personality. “Dunno.” Knuckles uncrossed his arms, putting them on his hips as he leaned towards Cayman with a skeptical expression. “You up for it?”

Ripper Roo

A rain of scythes to matches his rain of red and green explosives, the pretty lights of explosions and lasers above made Roo's eyes grow wider.

"Ahhhhhh...!!" He sighed in response to the beauty.

This made him really going. Explosives, explosions, fire, lasers!! The bouncy marsupial sprang up toward Jevil, jumping off of a nitro crate before it exploded on contact with him, shooting towards the clown much faster than expected. Weaving through the blades of two devils knives, Ripper Roo extended his neck as he came close to Jevil. Opening his mouth wide like a crocodile, he went to snap Jevil's neck and bring him down to earth.

NiGHTS

Sonic landed not too long after he leaped off the marble pillar, and began to run around in a circle around the nightmaren. NiGHTS scoffed, floating upwards as Sonic attempted to run around them. This was a surprisingly simple way to avoid the attack without much effort.

"You are thinking with your feet, Sonic." NiGHTS called down below. "Remember who your fighting!"

Flying underneath a small island that was hells up buy a geyser, NiGHTS propped herself under it before drill driving into it. They dislodged the island and shoved it toward Sonic, the island threatening to crush him and everything around him!

Jevil
Trees shook and the ground quaked as the field was absolutely bombarded with lasers, fire, and explosions. Seems the battle was already picking up!

“Nyah hah! Bam, boom! Explosions shake the room!” The clown began to bounce around in the air, moving back and forth and side to side, never staying in one place! Filled with glee, Jevil spun around to see Ripper Roo approaching at high velocity, maw open and ready to bite!

A scythe manifested in the clown’s hand as he rolled with the punches, holding it out horizontally in front of him right as Roo tried to bite down.

Nom!

Roo bit down—right on the staff of the scythe! Jevil grinned at his deranged opponent, manic yellow pupils appearing in his usually blank eyes. Afterwards, he began to spin around rapidly like a purple cyclone, throwing the kangaroo right off of the staff and into the air! “Bye bye!” The clown laughed before hopping onto his Devilsknife like a surfboard and riding it through the air, leaving a trail of spade projectiles that locked on to Roo as he went. He rode the scythe in a spiral-staircase motion around the airborne Ripper Roo before sending all of the created spades at him at once! Additionally, Jevil rode the Devilsknife surfboard towards Roo while the spades flew at him and jumped off of the scythe at the last second, sending it right towards his opponent to cut him!

Sonic the Hedgehog
Sonic smirked in response to NiGHT’s taunting/advice, before responding in kind. “Heh, just makin’ sure you can handle what’s coming to ya!” The hedgehog curled up into a ball on the ground and briefly charged a spin dash before shooting up into the air, right into the small island that was flung at him! Sonic smashed straight through it with no trouble, leaving behind a curled-up-hedgehog-shaped hole before the remaining parts crumbled on the ground! He kept his momentum and homed-in on NiGHTS, aiming to fly right into her with a Homing Attack!

Ripper Roo

What Ripper thought would tasty chewy with a side of funny instead was rough and metallic. Before long, the not tasty scythe he found himself attached to began spinning and flying through the air, throwing the blue psyche ward patient off, spiraling down. Soon enough, spades began to appear and converge all around him, Jevil swooping in to finish the job with devilsknife flinging his way!

SLASH!

STRIKE!

KABOOOOOM!

Black smoke shot everywhere after a few spades collided with Roo. It was obscured to what had just happened, that is, until light shown from inside the black cloud. Not just any lights...headlights! Suddenly, a kart came flying out of the smoke, carrying a battered roo, charred and covered in spade shaped missing patches all over his fur. He honked the horn of the kart with his right foot as he recklessly had flung the car out of the smoke and right at an angle to a vulnerable Jevil.

NiGHTS

The island quickly gave way to Sonic's attack, who shot through it to get to NiGHTS, who lie just atop a geyser. This of which didn't make the jester move but instead put a hand to their mouth, trying to contain their laughter. Then, they transformed their right arm into a comically large NiGHTS themed spoon, which when crossed over the stream of the geyser shot it pouring at Sonic!

NEPHTHYS

Kirin gave chase, as expected. Now just to lure her to the proper place...

The gardevoir summoned a basic telekinetic barrier that the talismen pinged off of as she continued, and finally, she floated into the structure, initially disappearing from the human's sight. Neph still seething from the injury she'd sustained, and she had a plan to return the favor - ten times over. It simply had to be played right.

When Kirin inevitably entered the facility, it would appear that Neph had vanished, maybe even teleported away, but just as it might have appeared one or the other was the case, the gardevoir suddenly reappeared, opposite to Kirin, immediately hurling more telekinetic blasts. However, these blasts weren't meant for Kirin, despite being thrown at the battle priestess. For every blast Kirin dodged, it would punch into one of the great tanks of oil in the room, forcing the black liquid to begin pouring out.

If Kirin tried to close the distance, Neph would teleport to another point in the room to continue the process, trying to bust open as many of the oil tanks as possible, littering the room with the inky substance. If one of the blasts managed to deal damage to Kirin, however, Nephthys wouldn't complain.

FJORRD

The boy was eager. So was the nord. A friendly fight was never a bad idea, it allowed two to test themselves, and their opponent, without the need for death and destruction. Back in Skyrim, and Nirn as a whole, Fjorrd rarely met anyone who could give him such competition, but there was somebody to test himself against when he stepped through that gateway. He hadn't been chosen for this tournament, much to his dismay, but the dragonborn had immediately leapt to the task when the opportunity arose.

As he approached the gateway, he saw something out of the corner of his eye that garnered his attention.

A dark elf. A dunmer, from his own world. More than that, he knew exactly who it was. Had been rooting for her since he'd found out she was participating in this tournament that transcended time and space.

Irnane Bethryon, the Nerevarine - Fjorrd the Crusher's source of his heroism. She was what had inspired the nord as a boy to become an adventurer, an explorer, and a hero. To this day, she remained an inspiration to him. If he was being honest with himself, Irnane was likely the reason Fjorrd had married a dark elf - of course, there was far more to his wife than that.

...But she, and his daughter, were gone now. He had not won them back from death.

Fjorrd shook himself from his thoughts - he had a fight to be in. This Pit kid had a good heart, and in some ways, reminded Fjorrd of himself, in his youth, just with more power. It wasn't until he'd started absorbing dragon souls that Fjorrd had started to truly become powerful. Before, he'd been just a man. Now he was a dragonborn proper.

When the white void asked him for a place to fight in, Fjorrd knew exactly what kind of arena he wanted.

"Skyrim," he announced. "The Throat of the World."

Taskmaster
The mercenary drew his blade back after the stab. Masaru seemed to take it like a champ, though he took a moment to recollect himself. Taskmaster just watched, but he didn't have to wait, for the Strongest suddenly charged forward, attempting a grapple. First, Masters knew that shields weren't as effective defending against grabs. Then, he realized that the man was aiming for his shield anyhow. This guy was really that simple, apparently. The Taskmaster pivoted to put himself between his shield and Masaru, and retaliated against the outstretched arms with an overhanded jab with the knife at his foe's inner arm. He intended to follow it up, but he didn't realize a foot was hooked around his leg until it was too late. His right leg was pulled out from under him, but he couldn't let that take him to the ground. Instead, he was quick to carry that momentum, and in a quick twirl, he was able to get that leg to catch his weight in a squat before he hit the ground. That wasn't where the momentum ended however. He swung his sharpened osmium shield for Masaru's side, hoping to sink it in the flesh between the ribs and pelvis.

The sweep maneuver was an unexpected tactic from the brute, but he wouldn't fall for it again.

Beam
Beam appeared back in the plaza. On his back. Kicking and screaming like a madman. It went on for many seconds, and he paused several times to draw a new breath and continue to holler and flail. After about a minute, his spectacle had died down. He realized that he was not in Hell. Not yet, anyway. Instead, he'd been transported safely to this place again. Strange. The devilman stood up and began wandering around aimlessly, not really sure what he was looking for.

Mudkip
The Mudkip tensed as Lucario approached. He was really strong, and the water-type was unsure if he would be able to live up to expectations. As the Bone Rush homed in on his location, he had a tough decision to make, but no time to make it. So, he followed his instincts and took cover in the water with a dive, safe from the bone as well as safer from Lucario. The safety didn't make the saltwater any more comfortable though. As the Aura Pokémon would inevitably land on the small island, Mudkip emerged once again to retaliate with Water Guns spewing from his mouth.

Kragg
The beetle expected the Empress to interrupt, and blocked her attack, but he underestimated her strength yet again. The kick caused him to stumble and nearly fall over, now facing her. He glared, but then Bakura demanded his attention. A huge, malevolent being had appeared behind the duelist.

"Destroy him, Dark Ruler!"

It let loose a beam of powerful dark energies, but thanks to the warning provided by Bakura's shouting, the Earth's Bastion was able to bring up a rock shield. The attack still busted through, knocking Kragg back to where he began his charge. A couple cracks had appeared in the armor of his forearm, but it was soon sealed. The beetle got up, and realized again that he was just losing ground as this back-and-forth continued as it did. He would need to call upon greater power from the Earth, and although his dull mind understood that this wasn't actually his home, he still grunted, an apology to his duties to protect the wall. The overgrown beetle slammed his hands into the Great Rock Wall. It shuddered in response for several seconds, and then stopped. After a moment more, it shuddered again, the wall being bisected long-ways, and the two parts slowly began moving apart.

Kool Kultists
Troy had knocked the woman even further from her sword. Audrey was desperate, and that's right where the cultists wanted her. She ran at the narcissistic freak once again, this time seeming to have resorted to head-on confrontation. Troy braced himself for melee combat, a mad grin on his face and amusement in his eyes. He knew she wouldn't try to juke him out a second time.

...right?

This time, Audrey was able to get around the cultist, and raced to her sword. However, Number Two was still closer. Allison stepped in front of the "hero", her leg turning into a blade to sweep across the ground and halt Audrey's slide, lest she suffer a wound.

"Not so fast, Audrey honey~!"

Allison gave a cheeky smirk and wink. At the same time, Audrey heard a pair of well-shined dress shoes running across the bridge, and then they stopped, because by then Troy was sailing through the air. His legs were outstretched, intending to dropkick Audrey as a large Vortex Ball formed around his feet. The aim was to dropkick Audrey into Allison, who reached out her arms, the limbs turning into blades in hopes of impaling the chosen one on them.

Regular Waiter
"Hey! Is that weird coin thrift store open yet?"

The cashier was currently turned around, making himself look busy by pretending to dry a disposable cup. But when he heard that high-pitched, irritating voice, his body tensed, and he pursed his lips. It took him a moment to assume his customer service persona, but when he did, the man gleefully spun around to greet the customer. He set the cup and rag on the counter, which he also leaned on.

"Hiya, sir! Welcome to Regular Burger. You wanna know about the guy next door? I'd go ask him, because I don't have a clue what that extremely attractive, well-groomed man is planning over there."

He smiled again. The man definitely knew, but he just wanted to send Weevil over there for one reason or another.

Kirin
Neph's initial attack upon Kirin entering the room was met with a sidestep, leaving the projectiles to crash into an oil tank. The Adept wasted little time in counterattacking, rushing in for a quick stab of her blade - but the Gardevoir had already warped elsewhere, and Kirin realized her foe's plan as she whipped around. A noticeable of amount of oil was already leaking out into the room, something she had little time to think about as her opponent fired another set of psychic blasts in her direction.

The Battle Priestess raised her weapon this time, using the flat side of the shockingly durable blade to deflect each one upward, away from the tank behind her. Her katana could take quite a beating, but she wasn't sure how well it could hold up against those psychic blasts. She opted not to risk it too much and procure her talismans again, infusing them with her Septima before flinging them in a spread in Neph's direction, ten in total. Some of them prematurely stuck to the floor and ceiling, while the rest headed in Neph's direction, who responded with another barrage of psychic blasts at her immobile target.

Kirin crouched in response, grasping her blade tightly, wincing as one of the blasts struck her shoulder - before she suddenly zipped forward, her Fierce Issen Dash closing the distance between her and Neph in the blink of an eye, using the momentum of the technique to deliver a quick slash followed by a swift low kick. She hoped to catch her opponent off guard with her speed, though her mind was already coming up with a backup plan in case this didn't work out.

The psychic blasts struck the tank behind her, the creaking of metal following as more of the black liquid poured out.

Cayman
He was being offered... a Duel? An opportunity to fight even outside of the tournament bracket?

"How could I say no to that?!" Cayman's fists smacked together, giving his new opponent a wide grin. "Getting to Duel all kinds of fighters is exactly why I joined in the first place, so I say bring it on!" He added, head swiveling towards the arena in the distance. It was similar to a gladiatorial arena, located in an offshoot of the main lobby, its walls reaching up to about fifty feet high. "I'll see you at the arena. You should come too, Chai!"

With those words, he promptly left for the sparring area, arms pumping as he ran, fueled by the prospect of a new Duel.

Pit
The white void began to shift according to the fighters' input. A mountain peak swiftly shot up from below, carrying both fighters up high as they were surrounded by the tundra, the dropping temperature affecting Pit a lot more than it did the nord. Then, a massive earth-colored object flew into view, becoming a blur as it crashed into the Throat of the World, detonating with a blinding light and a resounding boom.

When the light faded, a purplish haze fell over the mountain as the temperature rose considerably, perfect for the blooming vegetation that spontaneously grew around the fighters. Massive trees rose up high into the sky, their roots bursting from the ground and into the surface to hinder on-foot traversal somewhat, with spiky vines scattered throughout. The desolate mountain had suddenly been engulfed in a dense jungle, plant life sprouting everywhere, vines dangling off the side of the Throat of the World. If the Goddess of Nature, Viridi, had been watching right then, she would've called the Reset Bomb's effects a massive success.

Pit conjured his Palutena Bow, grasping the golden weapon in his right hand, two halos enveloping his forearm.

"So, one tooth down and it's over, right? No take-backsies?"

Dagr

The Princess wiped off the remaining ink and stepped back into the plaza, only for the ink to completely disappear.
"Huh. Convenient." Dagr said. She took another look around the plaza. It seemed like a few of the fights were wrapping up quickly. Pit's fight against the human Viking had only just begun. Maybe there was a way she could get into the crowd for a closer look at his match. A small object sailed into the plaza, and Dagr watched as it quickly reformed into Beam. The shark demon seemed to throw a temper tantrum, screaming and flailing on the ground.

Honestly, it was quite impressive how long this guy could scream for. After a few minutes straight of screaming, he finally seemed to calm down. Dagr smiled and approached the shark demon.
"Hi, Beam!" The princess said, waving to the shark. "I guess your match didn't go so well? Don't tell me Ice Rink managed to take you down."

Ring that lives within the Millennium Spirit

"What?!"

This bug creature was incredibly strong, but even Bakura could not have anticipated the warrior being able to split the wall like this. The move was completely unexpected. The ground fell out from under him, and Bakura fell into the massive crack. He managed to catch onto the edge with his upper body, the fall knocking the wind out of him. He clung onto the cliff, frantically trying to find some footing to stop himself from sliding over the edge. Bakura looked up to his monsters. The Dark Ruler kept his balance on the falling area, while Empress Judge was in a similar situation he was in.

"Finish it!" Bakura hissed at his monsters. The Dark Ruler fired off another blast of dark magic at Kragg, while Empress Judge scrambled out of the crevasse.

Weevil Underwood

The insect duelist scowled. The waiter's response was a non-answer. He let out an irritated sigh.
"Okay, fine. I'll have some popcorn, though." Weevil said. That magician had him craving the snack. In a few moments, Weevil walked out of the Regular Burger and towards the coin thrift shop. He nearly got bowled over by an excited buff guy in the process, but shook off the brief encounter. Weevil knocked on the door to the coin shop.

"Hey, are you open yet?!" The insect duelist demanded.

NEPHTHYS

The gardevoir intercepted the direct talismen with her psychic blasts, which burned through them as they continued. The oil was quickly filling up the room. It was enough.

Kirin crouched low, tanking one of the blasts. Neph didn't need to read the human's mind to know what she was preparing. She always did something similar when preparing to burst forward.

Quickly, Neph raised a hand, and fired a particularly more powerful blast at what remained of the ceiling, a large portion that brought the rubble down - falling exactly where Kirin had been dashing toward, intentionally catching the girl on her acceleration as Neph raised her other hand, and finally cast the move she'd been holding on to.

Mystical Fire.

A burst of flames spiraled from the gardevoir's palm in a sweeping motion, intended both to cut Kirin off further - and ignite the oil beneath them. It caught immediately, and the entire floor almost instantaneously erupted into a pillar of violent flames that thrashed angrily about, casting a heavy wave of heat to rival Groudon.

Neph had already begun to soar upward in an attempt to avoid the worst of the trap, the flames licking at the hems of her dress as she swooped up above, carrying herself with her mind. One by one, the remaining oil tanks began to explode, splashing oil and fire around. In a matter of seconds, the remnants of the building began to collapse in on itself.

The Pokémon glanced down to see what damage she'd caused - and to assess if her opponent had somehow survived such a trap.

FJORRD

The nord was chuckling to himself as he looked around at their surroundings, seemingly humored by the altered Throat of the World. In truth, it simply reminded him of the jungles of Elseweyr. He hadn't been that far south in a long time. It was almost nostalgic to see vibrant nature such as this.

"So, one tooth down and it's over, right? No take-backsies?"

Fjorrd's gaze finally fell on the angel, who had prepared a bow. The nord sniffed, before he gave a nod, his lips tugging into a grin. "Hope it's not too hard for you," he chortled, his fists suddenly beginning to drip in fog as his skin from his fingertips to his elbow turned a shade of blue, a chill on the temperate air.

"AH-!"

The strong woman appeared behind the confused sharkman. He was startled, for having been decapitated just a minute ago put him on edge.

"Don't tell me Ice Rink managed to take you down."

Uh oh. Beam was crazy, but he was smart enough to know when someone was disappointed, and for devils, disappointment was often coupled with punishment. A devil's instinct was to lie in a situation like this, but Beam wasn't that smart. His mind raced faster than a coherent thought could form. All that he was able to manage was a single

"UHH.....!"

The Earth's Bastion
The chasm ran along the wall, and, more than that, had disrupted half of Bakura's forces, as well as Bakura himself. The Dark Ruler had attempted to end it right there, but Kragg had other plans. As the surging power was flung towards the beetle, he jumped into the crevice. The beam struck stone, kicking up a cloud of dust as well as a spray of gravel.

A moment later, Kragg shot out of the cloud, in his Defense Ball. He caught himself with a horizontal pillar coming out from the wall of the chasm. As he rolled, more of these pillars shot out of the walls, creating a bumpy road for him to travel along while still being around twenty feet deep in the canyon. This required an intense amount of concentration from the Wallrunner, and he wouldn't be able to keep it up for long, but it would be long enough to reach Bakura. The bridge behind him disintegrated into gravel, while in front of him appeared a sudden ramp.

He shot into the air and unrolled, soaring towards his smaller foe. However, the Earth's Bastion... hesitated. It felt wrong to strike an incapable fighter. However, he needed to beat this foe, and so he primed his fist to strike anyway. The bulky knuckles struck the stone beside Bakura, sending a crack that would cause that area of stone to tumble into the chasm- the duelist included!

THE Regular Shopkeeper
A man appeared in the door. He looked to Weevil, and then the door, and his eyes widened. He mouthed 'Oh crap' and then dug into his back pocket. The shopkeep produced a sign that read:

Sorry! We're CLOSED

After hanging the sign on the door, he assumed a stern look and unlocked the door.

"Hey, poindexter, can't you read? It says we're closed. We don't open until all of the round two matches are over. 'Equal opportunity' business model, wouldn'tcha know it. Now scram, kid."

Audrey Redheart
The Hero quickly hopped back to avoid the sweeping blade, snarling.
"Get out of my way, br- Wait, why did you call me-" She almost snapped back, before cutting herself off as she heard Troy's rather loud shoes rushing towards her. Her first thought was that he was running up for a punch to the back of the head, but they stopped too far away. In her head, she had a flash in her head of a battle against a monstrous wolf, when she failed to avoid a jumping bite, and the attack was blocked by that damned singer who dared to save her.
"Not this time." She quickly and suddenly sidestepped with a slight afterimage to her movement, intending to let Troy barrel into Allison's blades as she tried to slip around Allison to reach her blade once more, and pull it out of the ground.

Axe
"I'm sorry, but- Ow! Hey!" Axe frantically spoke out before quickly raising his shield to block the staff, letting sparks rise off as the speedy but weaker strikes hit the metal. He quickly used a free hand to fish something out of his satchel, before...
BONG!
The harder hit came by, sending Axe flying away despite blocking it, before he landed roughly halfway across the bridge from Grazie, with a rolling tumble and...a smile?
Then it became clear what he did - The item he fished out was a Firecracker, and he used the last sparks on that final hit to light it, throwing it down past Grazie onto her forming safety platform.

And while he felt proud of his plan there, he did feel a little sorry for pulling it when Grazie had just said she'd been scared for him (At least, that's how he took what she said).

Masaru Takahara
If Masaru had any reaction the jabbed knife, it was only a small grunt. But while he wasn't always the smartest out of fights, he could see where Taskmaster's movements where leading from a mile away. And the swinging shield caught air as he jumped up, taking the time to move his leg away from his foe's before landing.
CRASH!
He moved to land on top of the shield. But even if he didn't, the impact had strength forced into it as it cratered the ground - The martial artist hopping back to make room. But there was something off about how he was looking at Taskmaster.

"I know I said we're similar, but... you aren't actually learning them, are you? They just stick in your mind and you work off that." He was deducing this from a key factor; Taskmaster hadn't expected the sweep. He saw Masaru as a brute, but if he was learning the techniques as he was, then he would've seen the care and thought put into each one. "Guess that's the difference...You get a shortcut, but it's just taking them and learning nuthing..." He growled. He knew it was kind of foolish, but Masaru couldn't help but feel slightly insulted at this. He spent months training with those he thought afterwards, as even just learning the techniques was rarely as good as it was. There was always an air of respect in those times, times only he held now...
"I'll stop holding off then." He muttered, as his normal hand wraps fell to the ground and a new pair, with a slight glow to them. "My full power, that's what you'll get!" He added as he got into a Sumo stance, though his hands were more outstretched like a Muay Thai fighter.

The Warlock
The Warlock thought himself safe as he leapt away from Dart's blade, aiming to gain some distance and better ground. Then he heard several crashes and turned just in time to see the hero plunge his blade into the Warlock's chest, knocking the 'Champion' to the ground a vicious yelp of pain. Although, it seemed as though any of Mind Crush's secondary effects did not daze him. Instead, the blade pierced his armor, striking an obvious wound into him before his body disappeared and reappeared on a nearby rooftop, coughing.
"I...urgh..." He groaned as he rose to his feet, trying to keep himself hidden from Dart for now.

Of course, Dart's mode of reaching the Warlock wasn't exactly quiet, and it sounded like a small horde of Lost was quickly encroaching...

Taskmaster
The shield was kicked downwards, embedding the thing into the ground. It pulled Taskmaster's arm with it, and after a solid tug, he decided it was a lost cause. He rose, and stared, expressionless as Masaru talked about 'cheating'. He stowed his knife.

"Sure. I play smarter, not harder. No point in spending my time practicing hours at a time when all I need to do is watch chumps like you for a couple minutes. It is a shortcut. But I'm still gonna beat your ass with my stolen moves... watch."

Masaru got into a stance. A stance that radiated power- with a mix of different styles. It was made clear that this fighter radiated power and martial skill. Taskmaster rolled his eyes. He unsheathed a broadsword and pointed it at the Strongest.

"Show me what you've got."

Kult of Personality
Audrey dodged, but the Kultists had a backup plan. Allison's blades morphed back into arms, and the Vortex Ball dissipated. Allison caught her boss by the legs, transferring his momentum into a counterclockwise swing. A Vortex Ball formed around his clasped hands, which he attempted to smack Audrey off the stage with! The entire motion was fluid and quick, so the Hero would be able to get to her blade, but it was extremely unlikely she would be able to get the heavy weapon up for a block in time...

Audrey Redheart
Audrey was able to get her hands on the blade's hilt, just in time to see the Kultist's combined attack coming right for her.
Clang!
Audrey was unable to lift the blade in time to block the attack, though her remarkable strength meant she wasn't as far off as would've been expected. Still, it didn't matter much as the Vortex Ball surrounding the hands of the opponent Audrey would call a loser crashed into the Hero's head, knocking her to the side as she was barely able to catch her hand on the edge, preventing her fall just barely, though left her disoriented as she managed to get up and move away, groaning.
"Ugh...That won't be enough... to stop me, you LOSER!" She spat out, looking quite dishelved all of a sudden as she pointed her sword to the sky, drawing lightning into it as a somewhat... psychotic smirk flashed on her face for a split second, before she got ready once more to fight - She was hesitating as she looked over the edge she narrowly avoided falling further than she could've allowed.

Masaru Takahara
"Chumps, huh...?" That just annoyed Masaru further. But he had to focus - His foe was probably trying to get him to act out in anger. He breathed slower as he glared down the broadsword wielded by Taskmaster.
Suddenly, he pushed off his left foot, letting his right drag slightly longer before pushing off that for slightly greater speed as well, using his might to power through whatever Taskmaster could through at him, before readying a hand.
Alola Slap!
He slapped out his hand towards Taskmaster, moving to strike several times over with the speed to create afterimages around him, the final blow striking like a Hurricane multiplied.
Frankensteiner!
Takahara followed that up with a backflip onto his enemy's shoulders, moving to drive Taskmaster's head into the ground!

Dagr

The shark devil grew flustered, and Dagr grinned. Even a crazy shark guy could get nervous, huh? It was almost kind of cute.
"Its okay. You seem like the type to give it your all, so there's no shame in losing. At least, no shame in losing here. Plus, you're still in the tournament right? Just knocked down to the loser's bracket." Dagr said. "I won my fight, so maybe we'll rematch next."

"Hey, do you wanna grab some food? You didn't eat at all after your first match, but then again you had a pretty big meal munching on me during our fight." Dagr said to Beam with a teasing smile.

The Spirit within the Millennium Ring

With surprising agility, Kragg had dodged the Dark Ruler's attack and moved quickly across the crevasse. Bakura tried to pull himself up, only for Kragg to smash the rock around him. The teen screamed as he plummeted into the crevasse...

A blur of tan and red sped through the air, and the Empress Judge caught Bakura. She gripped onto the side of the cliff, and with the last bit of her strength, threw Bakura up the cliff. The wall she clung to gave away, and Empress Judge fell into the ravine and into the darkness. Bakura landed on the wall, right in front of Kragg. The spirit looked up at the warrior. He had hesitated, just before attempting to destroy Bakura. A do-gooder through and through. If Bakura tried to draw a card here, Kragg would be upon him before the Dark Ruler could get off a shot. And from how strong this creature was, it would only take one shot. The spirit grinned, and retreated into the Millennium Ring.

Bakura

Bakura shuddered and gasped. The dark aura surrounding the teen vanished, and the true Bakura blinked awake. He felt tired, cold...
"Aaugh!" Bakura screamed, realizing he was just about to fall into the massive, deep dark ravine next to him. Reflexively, he grabbed onto Kragg's leg.
"H-help me!" The teen said. "W-what's going on?!"

From behind Kragg, the Dark Ruler grinned and fired another blast of dark magic at the warrior!

Weevil Underwood

Weevil scowled, rolling his eyes. The second round was almost over, so he didn't bother trying to fight with the shopkeeper. Instead, he took a quick glimpse around the Regular Shopkeeper, looking at what was in the shop. It really was an assortment of random things. He wouldn't be able to really take a look until he was actually in the shop.
"All right, all right. I get it." Weevil said. He walked back into the plaza, munching on his popcorn and watching the matches.

Out of the corner of his eye, another competitor caught his eye. Rinku, the yo-yo kid. Another winner in the main bracket. Weevil grinned, eating some more popcorn. The duelist jumped out of his seat, and approached the demon kid.
"Hey, you're Rinku right?" Weevil said. "I saw your fight! Those chainsaw yo-yos were really something!"

Jevil
”Ha ha! Drive, drive, drive! You won’t reach the goal for which you strive!” The jester rhymed as Roo’s kart approached him at high velocity. With a mischievous laugh and a flourish, Jevil summoned a steed of his own—a magical carousel horse! A rather strange one at that, lacking legs and having empty eyes not unlike the jester’s own, but it was still a horse! Mounting his noble steed and grinning like a madman, Jevil did a “yee-haw” motion and rode the horse forward and right into Roo’s kart!

Crash!

Booooooom!

As the two vehicles collided, a spontaneous, weirdly low quality explosion occurred at the point of impact! Both parties were saved from most damage due to their vehicles taking the brunt, although said vehicles were rendered useless due to the damage. Roo’s kart was majorly damaged and sputtered out and Jevil’s magic horse had disappeared entirely. Jevil, having been knocked back a decent amount, spiraled away from his opponent, although he was still ecstatic and stuck his tongue out at Roo as he spun.

If the kangaroo were to look around himself, he’d realize that he was surrounded by black clubs, although these suits didn’t attack him directly like the other ones seen so far. Instead, these clubs shot rapid fire bullet-like circular projectiles from each of their tips like three-way machine guns!

Sonic the Hedgehog
The hedgehog was pushed back to earth by the geyser, although this didn't deter him in the slightest. Not even a second after being pushed, Sonic bounced off of the ground and right back up to NiGHT’s level. He homing attacked once more, although this one led to the side and around the jester to strike from behind instead of being direct!

Knuckles the Echidna
With a smirk on his face, Knuckles chuckled (:0) at Cayman’s excitement, liking the man’s attitude. “Ha! I like your style. Let’s go!” The echidna turned to Chai, nodding his head towards the arena. ”Tag along, you might learn something.” With that, he sprinted off, quickly catching up with Cayman as the two reached the sparring arena.

Walking into the building, Knuckles found a delightfully simplistic area. It had a rather large boxing ring, no smaller than the typical fighting arena, and a high-quality gym around it. There were a few stands, though they didn’t compare to the theatrics of the bracket matches. Hopping into the ring, the echidna warrior looked at Cayman and pounded his fists together with a grin on his face.

”Let’s do this.”

Rinku

Strolling out into the plaza, he ignored a rather rough Beam and a competitive Dagr as his shoes clicked against the ground. His demon blood got excited from that last match, but it ended all too soon. He just wanted the next matchup to begin so he could fight some of the real cream of the crop.

Before he could go somewhere to watch the remaining matches comfortably, a nerdy kid approached him, rather eagerly if he would add. Didn't smell like a demon, and wasn't built like a warrior either.

"Hey, you're Rinku right?" Weevil said. "I saw your fight! Those chainsaw yo-yos were really something!"

Rinku blinked, processing before grinding back at the kid, his hands still behind his head.

"Well, how bout that. Didn't think they'd let fans out of the stands! What you lookin' for, an autograph?"

Ripper Roo

As the clubs fired their triple shots of totally not friendship pellets, Ripper Roo reached his head down into his straightjacket, and with a tear with his teeth, an empty sleeve was let out which the kangaroo tossed like a lasso, snagging a spikey tree branch nearby, the marsupial swinging to the tree and past the spades, landing into the red thicket, obscured from view.

"Hehehehe....huuhuhuhu....KEHAHAHAHAHA!!!"

Jevil wouldn't have to wait long for Ripper roo to reveal himself, he would start chaotically bouncing up, down, left, right, and everywhere else in between! He'd leap towards the tree trunk, bouncing off his skull, landing on a foot, bouncing off that, and so on. Every surface he touched would be tinted green.

Soon the tree, patches of grass, and everything else wouldn't be left uncolored, the kangaroo not seeming to have a pattern in which they would land next. As he's dive into tall grass, out again, into brush, out again, it was hard to get a firm grasp on his movements!

NiGHTS

As Sonic was brought back to earth, NiGHTS flew away from it, soaring into the air and out of comfortable homing attack range. Turning around to see Sonic gearing up for a homing attack regardless, NiGHTS lifted a mask up.

"K blue, hope you like those quills toasty!"

Placing the mask on, she underwent a radical transformation, converting into the slender yet colorful dragon transformation: Dragon Persona! As Sonic flew their way, they opened their maw to project a beam of condensed flames directly at Sonic!

Chai

"I'll see you at the arena. You should come too, Chai!" Cayman invited the guitarist.

"Oh totes." Chai pumped their fist. "I'd love to see two dudes beating each other up for a change instead of being beat up."

Peppermint, in control of 808 crossed their feline arms, gesturing to the pair of bruisers. "Dunno Chai, that red one had a point. Make you could learn something about fighting style from these two."

Chai tried to snuff out what she said by pushing her face back on his shoulder, before jogging up to catch the two, already climbing in to a conveniently nearby boxing ring. They must REALLY be excited to cave each other's skulls in. And it mustn't be against the hand's rules either if they made a custom place for it out here.

"So let's have a clean fight, yadda yadda- let's see some punches fly!" Chai cheered.

Weevil Underwood

Weevil chuckled, trying to hold back his irritation.
"A fan, that's a good one." Weevil said. The duelist pointed a thumb at the leaderboards, gesturing to his own spot on it. "It's good there's another kid in the winner's bracket, even better one that's not a total lizard-brain. Someone's gotta show these loser adults who's boss, am I right?"

Weevil ate some more popcorn.

Arrogant little worm...

"Tell me. Have you been enjoying the tournament so far?" Weevil asked Rinku.

DART

The blade sunk into its intended victim - and then the Warlock vanished.

Mind Crush plunged a couple inches into the concrete, before Dart lifted it out, and looked around in search of his disappearing foe.

"That's a neat trick, but you can't hide forever!" The mercenary called, unwary of the sounds of approaching Lost that he had further riled with his voice. This city was concealing the Mindripper... so where could he have gone? The vanishing had clearly been a teleportation of some kind, so he hadn't just turned invisible and snuck away. No, he had to still be around. That blow wouldn't have killed him - Dart had seen him face off with Lucario.

When the Lost inevitably closed in, Dart's swift blade made short work of them. The quick, the unruly, and the fodder all fell, forming piles around him as he searched for his opponent. What had happened to all the Warlock's zeal and tenacity that he had claimed to possess, and had even somewhat demonstrated in his fight against Lucario?

"Hnn... maybe you can hide forever..." Dart muttered to himself, stepping away from the ruins of an arcade and scratching the back of his head as he looked around.

The demon followed Weevil's gesture, glancing at the winner's bracket. Wait, this guy? Someone like him? This far?

"Oh? So you're tellin' me you are a fighter AND in the winner's bracket? Either you've just been getting soft pitches or you are tougher than you lead on."

Taking his arms from behind his head, he switched to crossing his arms, looking into Weevil's eyes as if to judge him.

"I don't got a preference. Adult, kid, so long as they are tough. Nothing is as disappointing when a toy breaks so early into playtime." Rinku's inquisitive gaze turned into a more predator snicker. "So if you made it this far, I can hope you won't break as easy as the other two, right?"

Taskmaster
Masaru charged, and Taskmaster's free hand quickly reached to his belt and then smashed a smoke bomb into the ground. The assassin lunged to the side, bringing the sword with him to draw it across the outside of his foe's thigh if the man kept his momentum. He was using dirty tricks because their difference in physical strength, but hadn't gone for the kill yet. He raced outside the cloud and turned around. It only took him a moment to procure another device. He threw an electric bola into the cloud, the sweeping horizontal range giving him a comfortable margin of error to hit. If Masaru was struck, electricity that could stun even Spider-Man would surge through him.

Beam
The shark let out a breath of relief as he realized that Dagr wasn't mad at him. He was still a bit wary, at least until he heard the mention of food. Then, a grin spread across his face. His excitement rose, and a vigorous nod was followed by an even more enthusiastic:

"YEAH!"

Kragg
The malicious look and evil aura disappeared. In the back of his mind, Kragg knew it was a ploy. But the Earth's Bastion couldn't attack a frightened child. He tenderly plucked Bakura up by the back of his shirt, raising the boy to eye level.

"Forfeit,"

The beetle ordered. Before the reply came, a powerful attack slammed directly into the rival's back. He flew forward and tumbled over the edge, but managed to catch himself. Now he was in the position that Bakura was just a moment ago, with the rock layer of his back armor heavily damaged to reveal another layer, this one grey and chitinous, underneath. With one hand he clutched the edge, and the other punched into the stone. A short rumbling shook the area before an eruption of sharpened stones burst from beneath the duelist. It seemed as though this retaliation was his patience wearing thin.

Groovy Maniacs
Troy landed beside Allison, and the two watched Audrey clamber up the side hungrily. Allison hopped into the air, transforming into a sword for the narcissist to catch. The Hero readied herself, calling upon a huge amount of electrical energy from the heavens. In response, Troy shrugged and increased his own power. The generation of a Vortex Ball spun the ringlike handle of the Soul Edge around his hand, and it picked up speed until the blade began glowing a bright golden. The single blade turned into four spokes of energy, like a shuriken made from hard light.

"Down for round two when you are, babe."

Audrey eyed the edge warily, and Troy perceived it as an opening. He pounced, swinging his spinning energy weapon towards the godkiller. The weapon was incredibly powerful, so much so that it could cut through practically anything like butter... anything besides magically durable items, that is.

Weevil Underwood

"Come now, I would have thought someone like you would be more familiar with deceptive appearances." Weevil said. The insect duelist grinned and pushed up his glasses, light reflecting off of them for a moment. "And trust me, I have plenty of toys."
Weevil's cocky grin broke into a seemingly more authentic one.
"I actually do, you know. You use yo-yos, I use trading cards. Kind of funny, when you think about it. A couple of kids with toys beating down adults with swords and guns." Weevil said, and chuckled.

"Ah! I have a fun idea!" Weevil said, perking up. "Why don't we do a trade?"

Dagr

The jotun princess returned the shark devil's excited grin with one of her own.
"Well what are we standing around here for? Lets go!" Dagr said, and took off in a brisk walk to the Regular Burger. It didn't take long for the pair to reach the restaurant, and Dagr slid back into the booth she had sat at after the first round.
"Let's see... you said you liked raw meat, right? Eh, this place is weird so they probably have it." Dagr said to Beam. "Is there any other food you like? Anything that's your favorite?"

Bakura

Kragg dropped the Bakura, and he fell to the ground with a gasp. The Millennium Ring glowed...

The Spirit of the Millennium Ring

Dark energies swirled around the teen, and 'Bakura' grinned down at Kragg.
"This is the end for you, creature!" The spirit cackled. "Dark Ruler, at- AUGH!"
The spikes pierced 'Bakura', and the teen recoiled in pain. He was gored, with one of the spikes running straight through his stomach!
"Augh... Gah... I... Surrender..." The spirit gasped. Even though he had seen others return alive, he still couldn't take the chance of his host dying!

WINNER: KRAGG!!!

Rinku

A wolf in sheep's clothing? For a human of that size? That was rare. Was he in here for fun just as he was? For a challenge? Weevil even being on the winning bracket at the same tier as him sparked his curiosity.

Oi, this dude is focusing a lot on the adult concept. Does he even know I'm hundreds of years old? Bah, that's the point of this form anyway I suppose, best let him have his focus.

After a few seconds, Weevil mentioned some kind of trade. Cocking his head in disbelief, he eyed Weevil, in the same way a teacher would if a student got a math problem horribly wrong.

"A trade? You and me?" Rinku scoffed. "So four eyes, your saying you have the demon Chi to even handle my Serpent Yo-Yos?"

Ryuji
A direct hit! But Nott was tougher than she looked...
Actually, the chick was built like a brick house. It really shouldn't have surprised him.
Magic built up around the handle of Nott's lance.
That won't be good. Ryuji thought. But if she thinks she'll make me back off, she's got another thing coming!
Ryuji's resolve steeled as the teen got back to his feet, shoving the lance upwards as he shined with energy of his own, golden in color. Clearly Nott's attack did damage, ripping apart the sleeve of his phantom thief uniform as it razed Skull's arm, but the pain hardly seemed to register for Ryuji. Skull swung the Mjolnir up, aiming to uppercut Nott. In perfect sync, William would flip over and uppercut Nott from behind with his own ship, sending waves of spectral water flying as the force of their blows were further empowered by Ryuji's Eccentric Temper!

Alter Knight
Kassandra ducked under the arrows before unleashing a flurry of strike with her sickly green dagger. Alter Knight twirled her bow, using the sharp edge to deflect the stinger's strikes, though the awkward use of the weapon made it difficult to counter attack. With the weapon that is.
Her resistance aside, Kassandra seemed to forget she was covered in armor. It was the basic kind for Kanterbury soldier, but still durable nonetheless. So when Kassandra's speed started to overtake her, Alter Knight shifted her body so that the stinger bounced off her shoulder. Yet the poison it seeped was more potent than she expected, leaving the armor dented and deteriorating. Alter would have to be more careful with that. For now, she took advantage of the move with her magic, summoning a bolt of lighting would strike herself and the personal space-ignoring spartan. As it did, her weapon changed into a sword and shield, the latter of which Alter Knight used charge into Kassandra, emitting a protective blue aura. Whether Kassandra blocked it with her own shield or not, Alter Knight would continue to charge until she slammed Kassandra into a pillar!

Lucario
Mudkip rolled out of the way, dropping into the water below.
Good, taking advantage of the environment and showing quick wit and resolve.
With Mudkip out of the way, Lucario instead grabbed his bone staff as he landed, quickly spinning it to defend himself from Mudkip's attacks. The super effective damage wore down the staff with those few hits, however. Lucario hurled the weapon, which sailed across the ocean until it hit one of the many rocks protruding through the sea. Both the rock and staff shattered, sending a hail of stones over mudkip!
Lucario waited to see how the water type would act.

The duelist frowned. Demon chi? He took a closer look at Rinku. The kid had been able to fly around, was super strong, and could control paralyzing yo-yos. He certainly wasn't human. And calling his skill 'Demon Chi'. That meant he was probably...
"So those yo-yos are powered by you. Interesting, and a little disappointing. I would have loved to try to give them a try. But alas, I'm not a demon." Weevil let out an exaggerated sigh, rubbing his head before looking up at Rinku with a grin. "At least, not like you... am I right?"

Nótt

The Princess swung her lance, and in a shower of sparks she hit Skull's Mjolnir away from her. At the same time, Moon-Wing was keeping an eye on William. The eagle lowered its wings, blocking William's attack from behind and severely reducing the force of the attack. It was still enough to knock the princess forward. She stumbled a few steps closer to Ryuji, at a range making her spear attacks ineffective. So Nótt continued forward, letting out a battle cry. She tried to wrap her arms around Ryuji and take him to the ground, throwing a few elbow strikes at his head and otherwise trying to get on top of the teen in a grapple.
