IRNANE

He was getting flustered. Dark Shadow, her custom-made spell, had replicated several things she had picked up from the demon, and while he flaunted a use of superior experience and skill... Irnane took that too. Her hand flashed pink magicka, and with Rinku's proximity, she took it. Absorb Skill, and she was focusing it upon the yo-yo's specifically.

"Point taken."

Unlike Rinku, she wasn't limited to breaking weapons while Dark Shadow was active. From the shattered replicas, they reforged like glass coming back together, except the shards would conform around Rinku's own yo-yo's. The weapons would weave and swerve, but they had broken apart around Rinku's yo-yo's---the only way to escape would be to stop existing.

While this was happening, the other four shadow yo-yo's swerved in to meet Rinku's head on (equalized in skill and know-how), while the shadow scythes swerved rapidly on his position. Rinku wrongly assumed that Irnane was using a replication of his own demon magic to control the yo-yo's. She was controlling it like she would anything else- with her mind. There was no slowness or stuttering he would have expected otherwise.

She darted toward the "boy," leaving behind a shadow of herself that puppeteered the yo-yo's, leaving the real Irnane free to procure Soul Edge and the Blade of White Woe as she closed the distance. She'd stolen his speed, his tricks, his weapons... others might consider this unfair. Some could even consider it flattery. Irnane saw it simply as giving others a taste of themselves.

She needed to make this quick, Dark Shadow wouldn't persist forever.

DART

He'd grown wise to Jeice's strategy from the last time they'd played, so when he flew past Jeice, Dart let his swing swivel him around, reeling his free hand back and-

BAM!

♫♩ Running back through the mid-morning light ♫♩

Jeice's fist smashed an orb, tearing right through it for the punch to be caught in the mercenary's palm. Dart's grin widened as he locked eyes with the Red Magma. "You called it a Crusher Ball, right?"
♫♩ There's a burning in my heart ♫♩

Around Jeice's fist, the mutant would be able to see the familiar orb take shape. His own Crusher Ball technique, manifesting out of Dart's palm and around Jeice's own fist in the blink of an eye.

"Now let's bring it back to ground level!"

BOOM!

♫♩ We're banished from a time in a fallen land ♫♩

Dart slammed the hilt of Heat Blade into the Crusher Ball, and it erupted in a wild force, just as the other had before. If Jeice was caught in it, he'd be sent straight back into the throne room as another 'boom' would echo instantaneously.

Before the flames of the eruption from the Crusher Ball had so much as subsided, Dart hurtled through it, propelled by explosive blasts from his heels in an effort to tackle Jeice and bring them both to the ground as the Red Warrior's body swelled with fire from his torso.

♫♩ To a life beyond the stars ♫♩

SANS

"this is the locked one, buddy," Sans raised a brow as he looked back at the marshtomp. His skull swiveled as he looked toward their other options, before he settled on the door with the screaming man. "hey, that one looks pretty exciting. maybe we should go there?"

He pointed it out for Marshtomp.

REGULAR SHOP

"Want [FOOT LETTUCE]?"

Chai would find there to be a Spamton on the menu he'd pulled out. After the question, the Spamton leapt from the pages menus as several other spammers filed into the shop.

"How About You [DIE MOTHER$#&@] For Only [SEVEN KROMER] Or Else [I'll Cut Your Mortgage In Half!]"

The Spamtons gave a chorus of robotic laughter as they got several clickbait ads ready for Chai.

Taskmaster
As Taskmaster came closer, Pit switched to melee weaponry, and charged forth. Not directly towards him, the supersoldier noticed, and so as the angel passed, he spun to keep the shield facing his opponent. His upper body rotated faster than his lower- twisting to meet Pit's onslaught. There was a reason for this, though, for as his lower body caught up, he got lower to the ground and stuck out his leg. The aim was to sweep Pit off his feet before his rapid attacks ceased. Then, whether or not it connected, he procured his bow, took a step back, and fired a putty arrow at the kid icarus all in one second.

Kraggggggg
Kassandra made another incorrect assumption about Kragg. He was dumb, but as the Earth's Bastion, he understood that supernaturally powerful attacks often had some sort of visual indicator- such as elemental infusions in his world. That didn't mean he wanted to risk it, however, and sprang forth low to the ground in a semi-successful attempt to dodge beneath the arrows. Carrying this speed, he leapt forward towards Kassandra, aiming to grab her before she touched the ground again. If he managed that, he'd slam her to the ground with herculean might and then attempt to throw her over the side of the stage.

Marshtomp
The Mud Fish pushed, but the door didn't budge. He continued pushing without any sign of improvement, but then the skeleton suggested he try a different door. Marshtomp nodded, and rushed over to try and push the screaming face door open instead.

Tabby
The two darkners took notice of Tabby, and began to include him in their attacks. How nice. While everyone else attacked the massive robot, the ninja decided to target the lonely jester circling the skies up there. Grinning, the tablet conjured a rocket launcher with his free hand as he came to a halt in the middle of a crowd of spammers. He aimed the weapon down, and upon firing a rocket at his feet, it exploded. The rocket jump launched Tabby high into the sky, avoiding a blast of electricity headed his way. He phasedashed through a heartmissile, and quickly looked around for a way to get higher. Luckily, there was a massive boulder that sailed right past him.

" B) "

Tabby sheathed his katana in favor for a kunai, which he had attached to a cable, and flung it at the boulder. He quickly swung beneath it to navigate through the bullet hell. He ended up on top of the boulder, and quickly aimed his rocket launcher to perform a second rocket jump. The powerful blast shattered this particular boulder, and turned it into a shower of smaller-but-still-heavy rocks to rain down on the malware crowd below. The second rocket jump gave him the height to soar directly towards Jevil. He flung his kunai towards the psycho jester in an attempt to limit his evasiveness, and then replaced his rocket launcher with his newest weapon- which was, coincidentally, a scythe. It was his strongest weapon too: the choice blade of Lemonkus herself. He gripped the black iron weapon in one hand, and attempted to cleave through the darkner entirely with it.

Kirin
Audrey swung down as she fell, knocking Kirin's blade aside with the help of her momentum and sending the priestess sliding backwards. She continued to argue against her point, and for once, the Hero brought up an actual reasonable point: get Master Hand to help. Kirin's mind flashed back to her battle against Generic Host. Back then, he'd claimed that even Master Hand had a "blind spot", and that he wasn't as omniscient as he claimed to be. Of course, every part of the Battle Priestess wanted to call it a bluff, but with the sheer prowess he displayed...

No. Surely there was something that the hand could do. Even if it exposed Kirin as someone who'd aided him and the salesman, it couldn't be worth letting Host get away with whatever he planned.

"...you're right. I'll talk with him as soon as we're done here, but I'd still like you to back me up a little if he doesn't believe me or something, alright?" Kirin replied with a nod. Regaining her footing, the priestess launched yet another wave of talismans at her opponent, looking to keep her busy and possibly even land a tag on her.

As she did so, Kirin ran a little closer, leaping through the air and slamming her blade into the ground a slight distance from Audrey. A trio of blades would burst from the ground below the Hero, Kirin's aim to catch her off guard with Merciful Beheading!
Pit
"Woah!"

Taskmaster's maneuver caught Pit by surprise, taking the angel's legs out from under him as a strange arrow slugged into his chest. It burst into a substance he didn't recognize, though it seemed to bind his body, sticking the boy's arms close to his chest and preventing much mobility. His wings were fine, though, and the Power of Flight subsequently carried him into the air, courtesy of Palutena.

"Oookay, don't think melee works very well against this guy either... This sticky stuff is real annoying too."

"An elemental weapon may help get it off you. I'll keep you moving, so focus on keeping the pressure on him."

At Palutena's words, Pit's Tiger Claws disappeared, and the Burning Palm he'd used in the lobby earlier manifested along his right arm. It appeared like a tattoo, golden lines running along the limb, which was now encased in flame. The putty seemed to begin to melt at this, though it'd take a little while for it to go away completely. Despite this, he continued to circle around the grounded Taskmaster, firing a series of flaming hand-shaped projectiles at the man. Their homing properties were greater than the Palutena Bow's, though their effective range was considerably shorter.

ZedΩ
Both Spamton and Jevil seemed to have taken note of the incoming support, buying Zed a little time to back off from his current position, Luxia floating right behind him. The salesman and the jester launched their attacks at roughly the same time, the former with bursts of electricity and the latter with missiles.

A crimson blade manifested in front of Zed once more - and Rex Calibur cut through the air at blinding speeds, slicing apart any missiles that neared as Zed made to barrel roll out of the way of Spamton's electric blasts. Given his distance and the frequency of the attack, he was unable to keep it up for long, forcing the prince to begin blocking the electricity with his blade. Each subsequent attack knocked him further backward, though his weapon held strong. Being the only aerial target was placing plenty of pressure on him.

"Zed, look out!"

"Hm?"

A Heartsmissile closed in from behind. Zed's phoenix wing burned brightly as it enlarged behind him, swiping against the missile - and it exploded a few meters from Zed. While outside of the blast radius itself, the prince was still knocked forward by the concussive force, though he was quick to use it to his advantage as he suddenly picked up speed, dashing across Spamton's face to slash at him, just in time to witness a scythe-wielding tablet swoop in to attack Jevil.

"Luxia," the Adept called as he finished his swipe, turning mid-air to face his opponents again, keeping his distance. "Can you scout the lobby for any other survivors? We'll need as much support as we can get."

"You sure? These are pretty tough customers."

"Part of the cavalry has already arrived. I'll be fine alongside them, and your song will still reach me over long distances, will it not?"

"Hmph," The Djinn huffed. "Fiiine. See you in a bit, prince~
"

The tan woman's form flickered, and she vanished in a flash of moonlight. Zed trusted her to carry out his request. The Golden Trillion continued to swerve around his targets, periodically launching barrages of flaming birds at them though his Vermillion Imperator. He'd been focusing mostly on Spamton by now, but he needed to keep an eye on Jevil as well, even if the newcomer was already upon that threat.

With the flick of a finger, shining golden feathers were launched at the jester, looking to lock onto him upon contact, though they did little else for the time being. At the same time, a trio of flaming swords appeared over Spamton's head, crashing down on the mechanical salesman as Zed cast Dea Lacrimae over him.

Yami Bakura

In the boss room, the dark spirit blinked. Something... was wrong. He could no longer sense what was happening outside of his host. Clearly, his host had not perished. But it was as if he was blinded. How was that possible? Something was wrong... but he could not let that distract him yet. He would deal with that when he needed to.

Marshtomp opened the door with the screaming man. The room itself was empty. Stone bricks, and as the door opened wider, a pair of torches lit themselves and illuminated the room. There was a stone keye carved into the back wall. It was dark and dank like the rest of the dungeon, but there was nothing inside.

As the two entered the room, there was a sudden loud scream! The floor collapsed under the Pokemon and the Skeleton, threatening to send them hurdling into an endless void of darkness!

Meanwhile, Nephthys felt another sudden strange sensation. The same sensation she had felt from the Morphing Jar, where another level of exhaustion crept over here and simultaneously heightened her powers.

Dagr

The two fighters taunted each other, and a deep, hearty belly laugh rang out through the fighting stage. The man dancing in the background struck one last pose, and the noise of a camera shutter closing rang out. In a flash of light, Dagr and Warlock were back in the strange elevator lobby with the platforms. A red circle appeared around each of the fighters, and with a strange jingle, both Dagr and Warlock grew up a size! Neither would realize it, but it was as if they had both received a mushroom power-up. Both would temporarily feel stronger and tougher.

Warlock aimed his rifle at Dagr, but the princess knocked it off target with her ax! The plasma bolt flew wild, striking one of the floating platforms.
"Oooh, nice one! Using that mind reading stuff to dig up some real dirt!" Dagr said to Warlock. The Princess stepped closer to Warlock and attacked with a flurry of ax slashes, trying to keep up the pressure on the alien!

Jeice

This bastard copied his Crusher Ball! He copied his move! His Crusher Ball! The technique he had formed since childhood, practiced every day, and this bastard copied it like it was nothing?! The explosive energy technique detonated, sending Jeice flying back. He was slammed back into the throne room. Jeice landed on his feet, sliding across the floor of the room in the exact same space Dart had gone before. While the flames and smoke obscured the warrior, Jeice's scouter told the alien exactly where his opponent was. Dart flew through the flames, flying towards Jeice.

♫♩ In your darkest dreams see to believe
Our destiny this time ♫♩

"THAT'S MY MOVE!!!" Jeice roared in rage. He ducked Dart's tackle, meeting the warrior head-on and aiming another powerful Rock Smash punch at Dart's chest!

Taskmaster
As Pit flew up into the air, the Taskmaster swapped out his bow for two throwing crescents. The flaming hands homed in on him as he backpedaled, but he was able to continue to bat the projectiles out of the air with his shield. He flung the crescents at Pit, one after another, and they curved through the sky at opposing angles to try and strike the angel's wings. His hand now freed, he grabbed his grappling hook, dashed forth, and then slung it at the boy's chest- hopefully embedding it in the sticky putty. If he was successful, then he would yank on the cord with all his might to pluck the angel from the sky. If any of the putty touched the ground, Pit would be stuck to the floor!

Rinku

As the shadow Yo-Yos re-materialized, he wasn't about to just let it happen. As he let out a Ki burst on the hostile shadows, he felt something...alarming. His pink glowing strings were suddenly enveloped in white. Audibly gasping, in sudden pain, dropping the devils knife to the ground and if disappeared into a glimmer of cards houses as he gripped his hands. The pink aura in his hand disappeared as his Yo-yos clattered to the ground. His hand had a numb feeling to it, his Ki refusing to flow into it. Passively rolling them back in, he looked up in aggravation.

These attacks were...ridiculous. What sort of limitless arsenal did she have? As the shadows actively repaired themselves, and the scythes were about to be incoming, Rinku has precious little time to figure out his next move.

What did he have that wasn't seen yet? All he had was Yo-yos and Ki, both of which he had used extensively. He could go all out, but that only lasted for a brief few seconds and the shadows would just reconstitute anyway. But in that moment he recalled the only thing he hadn't used in this fight yet.

Splat bomb. Since the Inkling was eliminated early, this gave Irnane no time to understand what this thing did beforehand. Holding his shaky hand out, the bomb materialized in his palm.

"Go Eardrum busting bomb!"

Of course, this was a bluff. He was trying to get Irnane to cover her ears or get defensive, but as he hurled the triangular explosive at her-

KA-BLOOSHY!

Blue liquid exploded outwards, while also causing a detonating to discombobulate the shadows for a bit. Under the cover of the paint plume, Rinku split into four copies of himself. Going in 4 separate directions. First went straight on, second going left, third going going right, and fourth going upwards.

Rex Raptor

As the creepy man appeared and offered his really sketchy concoctions, Rex at first thought about just jumping the dude and taking the key...but remembered the pot that leaped out at him before. Odds are, that creep 'Bakura' or whatever Neph said had a measure for that. Creeps like this always wanted their games played. Rex just scowled at the man, taking the purple two headed king rex colored concoction, snatching it with little respect.

"Gimmie that."

And in one go, he chugged the thing, throwing the glass to the ground, shattering it. Closing his eyes tight, he hoped there were no after effects to this choice.

Chai

"Okaaaaay, I guess you guys aren't here for the onion rings."

As they rushed to his table, he leaped up on the table, blindly swinging his guitar left and right, trying to swat at their oddly porcelain faces. If only peppermint were here she could tell him what the HECK he was dealing with.

Pit
The angel's shots still weren't quite getting past that shield, though he continued to move around in order to make himself a harder target to hit for Taskmaster. Despite this, the man threw dual crescents at him with shocking precision, the projectiles curving through the air as to aim for his backside, but Pit was more than aware of this.

As he moved through the air, wings shining a bright blue, the boy quickly did a barrel roll right as the crescents made contact - and a film of energy washed over the angel for a split second, reflecting the projectiles back at Taskmaster! Pit thought it to be a pretty genius move, smiling to himself before the grappling hook sank into the melting putty stuck to his chest, and he felt a heavy yank in his opponent's direction.

The Power of Flight was still powerful enough to keep him airborne, though he couldn't keep the distance he had before. Instead, Pit swooped in for a quick melee attack, going for a burning punch boosted by his momentum, which could deal some deceptively big damage!

KASSANDRA

He was barreling forward, attempting to intercept the Spartan woman, who reeled her fist back, and supernaturally plummeted even faster to the ground. After her time in the sun, during the age of the Hidden Ones built by her descendants, this would become known as a "Leap of Faith," though that usually involved bales of hay and tall buildings. Kassandra required neither, her "Leap of Faith" being something a little more simple, and a little more destructive- and a LOT less stealthy.

FOOM!

Kassandra collided with the earth before its bastion could intercept, a blast wave of energy expelling off of her with enough force to send most anything flying back at least a few feet, its concussive force barreling all around her with a stunning effect. Immediately following this, right back to the charge levels she'd been at before she'd used the Ghost Arrow, Kassandra pulled back the string of her bow, a simple arrow notched.

It flew right at Kragg's feet, imbued with another charge. Artemis's Trickery. There would be no visual indicator it was any different than a regular arrow, hence the "trickery" part, and it hit with the force of several Roman war elephants at once, slugging anything it came into contact with while simultaneously erupting in an explosion around it that would have a similar blast force as being struck directly. Considering Kragg had taken the time to avoid her regular arrows from the air, her guess that he didn't know what her Ghost Arrows looked like proved true. He could easily avoid this arrow, hence why she blasted it toward his feet in the moment he was hopefully stunned, and before he could continue with his initial move. If he wasn't as dumb as he looked he probably wouldn't try summoning a rock pillar to intercept it, given he already knew the Ghost Arrows would penetrate defenses.

SPAM-SPAM-SPAM-SPAM-SpAM-

Masaru's celestial palm came first, striking Spamton's leg- and making it go spinning, though it remained attached to the main body. In fact, he barely seemed to register it, only peeking a glance downward as Masaru roundhouse kicked the other leg before dropping back down. "THE FUCK."

BOOM!

Spamton NEO's body shuddered on the spot as his limbs flailed in an unorthodox fashion, the dragon blowing against him. His form shook for several moments after the hit, but just as he turned to look at the latest attacked- Zed's strike landed, Spamton's head spinning with the hit.

"[[Hey Jackass!]] TH-aT WAS-WAS [Genuine Leather Interior], NOW WHERE DID THAT [[Hochi Mama]] GO?"

Once more he grabbed his head and stopped it, before he looked up toward three giant swords bearing down on him, courtesy of Zed's Dea Lacrimae. They swung down, smashing against the puppet, who was knocked out of the sky and sent to the ground, limbs flying wildly in the wind behind him as he went before he collided in the middle of the lobby, sending several spammers scurrying to avoid getting crushed.

"[Bazinga!] WHAT A HIT-t-T! I WAS THINKING ABOUT [Calling You A Monster] BUT I DIDN'T WANT TO In-IN_INSULT [[Your Mother]]"

Spamton rose back up, head shaking violently as he turned his gaze skyward toward Zed and raised his arm cannon. Bolts of Spamton-shaped energy began to blast out toward Zed, but when they reached where he was (or where he'd been a moment before) they erupted into small blue pellets that spun wildly toward the Golden Trillion.

"A LITTLE [Pipis] WOULDD-DDd-dDd _O A [[Growing Boy]] SOME GOOD!!"

SANS

"well that wasn't the right room."

Just as Marshtomp began to fall- he was staring into the now-open abyss, standing beside Sans at the entrance to the room. It was as though they'd never moved at all, courtesy of a little shortcut the skeleton had some knowledge on, thanks to his plumbing skills (this place needed new pipes badly).

There was only one other door to choose from, that being the metal door. However, Sans walked over to the empty wall and grinned at its blank surface. "love the architecture here. very gloomy."

DART

"Ouff!"

♫♩ And endlessly we'll all be free toniiiiiiight ♫♩

A second Rock Smash collided with the Red Warrior, who once more skid to a stop as he grit his teeth. Jeice still wasn't feeling the spirit of battle at all, and it was getting a little disappointing. 808's warning reminded him that he didn't want those particular hits landing. How weak was his chest plate now, he wondered?

♫♩ And on the wings of a dream, so far beyond reality ♫♩

For the first time, Dart's grin faltered, and he let out a huff. "Man... I thought you were a warrior, but all you do is scream and scowl. Don't you have any sense for battle? Nobody ever taught you to like what you're good at? So stop holding back!!"

♫♩ All alone in desperation, now the time has gone ♫♩

Dart charged in, flames burning down his arms and igniting Heat Blade as he rushed in, simultaneously activating Cayman's shop item. It wasn't much of a "learn how to use" tool as it was a "know how to use," and by acquiring it, Dart understood how and when to activate it. The entire throne room became a deterrent to Jeice's flight, a force keeping him grounded for as long as he was inside- keeping him on Dart's level.

♫♩ Lost inside, you'll never find ♫♩

The Red Warrior led with a flurry of slashes, before he shouted "MOOOOON!!"

♫♩ Lost within my own mind ♫♩

He brought Heat Blade down with crushing strength, smashing it int the ground. A great crater erupted around the impact point, spewing debris and rocks in every direction, before Dart slashed upwards with his weapon. "STRIKE!"

♫♩ Day after day this misery must go oooooon ♫♩

The slash carried with it a kinetic blast of energy to slam into Jeice, a moment later great gusts of wind slamming into him as the air itself struggled to catch up with the force of the slash- only for the air to ignite once it had caught up, releasing a harrowing eruption of fire throughout the entire throne room, obliterating the ground beneath their feet. Whatever was in the throne room itself was rendered just as extinguished in the flames. Without wasting any time, Dart was barreling forth once again, intent to keep hounding Jeice until her either did as requested- or died trying.

NEPHTHYS

<Rex- REX, WAIT!>

Her call fell on deaf ears, as Rex rushed to a potion- and drank it. The gardevoir stared at him with wide eyes, mouth slightly agape. He didn't just do that... did he...? That fool was trying to get himself killed! That was so incredibly stupid, and brash and...

...

He probably didn't intend for this to be an act of kindness toward anyone else, but the fact of the matter was, he'd just taken one for the team. That deserved at least some modicum of... respect might not be the right word for it.

<...Are you feeling okay?> Neph asked the boy.

REGULAR SHOP

The spammers were batted away by Chai, but many were still rushing in with a chatter of random tv commercial expressions and vaguely threatening compliments. One even commented on his hair style. However, as they continued to rush them, there was a sudden boom from outside that made the ground shake.

Spamton NEO had just landed right outside, courtesy of Zed.

"Do You Wanna Buy A [CAT] Or Not!?" One Mini-Spamton shouted as he tried to leap onto Chai's back, holding a png browser window of a knife and trying to stab his back with it.

IRNANE

Eardrum busting what?

Her mind raced far too quickly for her to keep track of it. Was it a ploy? A bluff? Was he being serious? Why did he call it out, he hadn't done that for other moves. What if it was a trick and it was something else? What if, what if, what if.

Irnane was certainly very capable and very intelligent- to a fault. Her brief lapse in action, caused by her indecision, kept her from closing the distance fully and Rinku was able to do exactly what he wanted: survive.

KA-BLOOSHY!

The shadows receded for a moment as blue paint splattered over Irnane, and she took a step back in momentary confusion and frustration. It HAD been a bluff. She should have listened to her gut, not her head (an impossible task for one such as herself).

No, no, Dark Shadow was already ending. She had to finish this...

With a dash upward, Soul Edge cleaved through the airborne Rinku, and he vanished as the blade cut down his middle. There were three others. She could feel the shadows pulling away.

Conjuring three ebony throwing stars, the dark elf hurled the enchanted shuriken's in a wide arc. One for each Rinku as she dropped back down, and a moment later, Dark Shadow concluded. The light around the yo-yo's dispersed, and the silver glow to Irnane's eyes vanished.

This was infuriating... Irnane had to bite back her own rising emotions. This demon was proving to be an obstacle, and for the first time in the fight she'd been given the advantage- and she'd fumbled it. This was the kind of stuff Vivec had warned her of. He'd called her young. Brash. Foolish. She had rejected such notions. She was cool-headed, strategic, mindful. That's what she was supposed to be, what she poised herself constantly as.

But her own disdain for this false "child" had brought out tha side of herself that was insecure in Vivec's words, only managing to prove him right. She'd forgotten her goal here, her original intent, and was now at a disadvantage because of it.

...Maybe she could still pull this out in the end, however. She procured a potion, pocking off the cork to swig it down, eager to restock some much-needed magicka.

She needed a different approach to this than her disdain.

ZedΩ
Just as he'd hoped, his support had arrived. A multitude of blows landed on the large machine that was Spamton NEO, resulting in enough damage to knock him down to the ground. Zed couldn't help but smirk at this, feeling as though the tide of battle was starting to turn in their favor.

His respite didn't last long, however, for Spamton was already upon him with another attack. The prince kept his wits about him as each shot approached, floating side to side to avoid the energy blasts - before each one burst into pellets, converging into a minefield with Zed at the epicenter!

A stream of flame burst from Zed's arm, aimed at one side of the onslaught, burning up the pellets with his Septima. His other arm brought up a radiant shield, waves upon waves of pellets crashing into its form, eating away at its defenses, though it barely held. It gave enough of an opening for Zed to dive downward, sailing past a few more shots before he leveled out a few feet above the prone Spamton, leaving behind orbs of flame that would drop down on the large salesman as the prince passed by.

Luxia
As expected, many of the shops were pretty empty. With no contestants around, their lights had turned off, leaving only a few Mini-Spamtons to dash through or near each one. Layla's hiding spot was a little more secluded, so she hoped her wielder would be safe amidst the chaos. In the worst-case scenario, the girl would surely call Luxia or Zed to her side for aid.

The sounds of battle in one of the stores got the Djinn's attention. Her cybernetic body appeared in the Regular Burger with a soft flash of light, where she was met with the sight of a lone boy fending off a wave of miniature salesmen. Should any of them try to attack Luxia herself, they would find their spam and clickbait to simply phase through her form - the Djinn was a Septima, so there was no way to deal physical harm to her. As she watched on, the woman saw one of the Mini-Spamtons leap at Chai's back. The salesman raised a png knife, seeking to plunge it into his body-

When a small violet barrier manifested between the knife and Chai, repelling the strange Mini-Spamton's attack and sending him reeling backwards. Her song continued to play, and interestingly, Luxia found her Septima's effect to somehow be resonating with the rockstar. Curious, she moved closer to Chai, flying over to his left, floating on her back.

"Heyyy~" Luxia waved, rather nonchalant. "How's it hanging?"

[You Don't Knooow Me!]

The flamefall descended upon the maligned salesman, covering visage of him as his robotic laughter rang out.

"FULL OF [Tricks]! GOT A FEW [Treats] FOR YOU!"

As the smoke cleared, Spamton opened his mouth wide, and glitching words of text began to float out, wiggling their way through the air in their stringing sequence, forming words like "$"CHEAP" ", "$$DEALS$", and "$49.988", among other things. The words wove their way toward Zed (and any other airborne foes) as they glitched and zipped, sometimes glitching into another location.

Meanwhile, the Spammers near Luxia found it impossible to get to her.

"What The [BOLOGNA!]"

"[Super Salami Slicer 9000!]"

"Don't Be Like That!"

Before one of the Spammers suddenly glitched, his body decoding when it touched Luxia. The pixels zipped into the wall, disappearing from view. A few more of the Spammers followed suit, and moments later...

"Hiding From [THE LAW]?"

Layla would find several Spammers materializing around her within Regular Magecraft.

"[BREAKING] Your [LIFE] Accounts?"

Jevil

As Jevil span around the gigantic robot, he saw a man with a tablet for a face launch himself into the air with an explosion. Jevil was then hit by strange feathers from the spinning man, which only pricked but stayed stuck to him. Meanwhile the tablet man then executed a complicated maneuver involving a boulder, a rope kunai, and another explosion, he was launched at Jevil at ridiculous speeds, brandishing his own scythe and attempting to cleave through the Darkner.

Jevil was grazed by the Kunai, just barely dodging it, before choosing to counter Tabby's own scythe with one of his own! "Ha ha, let's make the Devilsknife!" He exclaimed, before turning into his own gigantic scythe, and parrying the robot's iron weapon with Jevil's dark one. The sound was loud, and the force of the knife stopped Tabby in the air.

At this point, 3 of the Devilsknives that had been following Jevil turned their attention to Tabby, getting into a square formation (alongside Jevil himself) around the robot and spiraling suddenly inwards, seeking to slash him apart!

Taskmaster
The angel reflected his projectiles, but with a singular step forward, Taskmaster avoided them. His yank was not as effective as he'd wished- Pit was a strong flier. Kid Icarus swooped down with a burning punch, a speedy attack that was met with a hasty defense. Taskmaster was pushed a bit off balance when the attack hit his shield, but he also attempted to push the boy upwards as well. His other hand grabbed the wire a bit higher up and yanked on it, once again intending to swing the angel into the asphalt.

Kragggggggg
The assassin fell quickly to the ground and smashed into it with a force mighty enough to spawn a shockwave. Kragg's trajectory was stopped, and he fell short of his foe. While tough, the shockwave did take some sort of toll on Kragg. He was a bit hazy, but as soon as he shook it off, he spotted Kassandra notching another arrow. When she released, the Wallrunner jumped over it, yet he did not expect the concussive blast that spawned from the missile upon impact. The heavy beetle was launched into the air. He recovered quickly, but had been launched higher than he'd been during this tournament thus far.

He looked down at his foe dozens of feet beneath him. She had been keeping the distance one way or another this whole time, but he had a way to bring her to him from this height. The Earth's Bastion adjusted his position in the air a bit, and then with a motion of his hand, a wide section of earth beneath Kassandra's feet rushed upwards at a rapid pace. The earth in this area was much shallower than the beetle had known, yet the earth still responded to Kragg's whim, and drew rock horizontally to continue adding to the massive spire. The rock on his shell moved to his fist, and if the earth successfully presented Kassandra to its bastion, he would swing down at her with all his legendary might.

Tabby
As Tabby slashed, Jevil had turned into a blade of his own. The two legendary scythes clashed, which created a loud sound as well as a bright shower of sparks. Quickly, the jester surrounded his foe within a ring of blades. Jevil had completely stopped the robot's momentum, which was a good move. Tabby smiled at the challenge. His double jump boots activated, which left a small shockwave in his wake as he bounded above the death trap. He drew a shuriken and flung it at the transformed Jevil. If it hit, the throwing star would shatter and transfer paralyzing electricity to the weapon, and hopefully cause him to revert to his true form. Then, the tablet dashed forward and drew his SMGs. He fired down upon the darkner with a stream of plasma bullets, the recoil of which cancelled out the force of gravity perfectly to keep the bot hovering in midair!

His hands still couldn't fight off the remaining celestial energy. Even the residue proved too hostiles and potent for his biology to fight back. Damnit. If he knew she had something like that in her corner-

He turned his head around, afraid that she would be right on his tail with an army of god powered shadows following. But lo and behold, the shadows began to recede. Surprised washed over his face before his smile returned, sharp teeth flicking in briefly. Was the shadow play just for show? Time for the kill.

Right before he was to turn around and return to the fight, a sharp pain stung his back as a shuriken found a new home it his upper back the sudden impact had him destabilized, the handicapped demon falling out of the sky. The now gliding instead of flying demon approached the rubble below, tumbling down a pile of rocky debris.

Sliding to a halt as several rocks slid with him, he grasped at his wound, which couldn't be healed by him yet, since his hands still refused to pump Ki through them. He couldn't just lay here vulnerable. Looking around for possible soft spots in the debris, he started to strike, kick, and press in different places amongst the rubble. With any luck, he might find a bubble of workable area inside to hold out briefly.

Chai

A lot of noise started to clutter up the little diner as Chai swatted as many pop up ads and salesmen as he could, but they just kept on coming by more and more numbers by the second. One even leaped on his back with a browser window of a knife on it.

"Ah! No transparency!"

Almost more concerned about that than the threat of being stabbed, Chai was going to pluck the salesman up and slug him across the restaurant. But before then stranger appeared, parrying the digital knife and interjected herself...rather chipper like.

"You seem awfully calm about all this, lady!" She exclaimed to her. "What's going on here, who are you??"

The old man watched as Rex downed the purple potion. For a moment nothing seemed to happen. Then, a searing pain spread through Rex's body! Poison! The old man chuckled.
"He chose... poorly..." The old man said. His laughter grew and grew, and his body began to change! The flesh melted off is face, revealing a skull head with three glowing eyes! His fingernails became long and purple. It was no longer an old man, but the Dark King of the Abyss!

Laughing maniacally, the Dark King grabbed Rex's wrist. He pointed a finger at Rex, and attempted to fire a beam of concentrated energy directly through the teen!

Sans and Marshtomp safely avoided the screaming room's trap. Sans walked away, but before the Marshtomp did, there was a flash of light from the room. The floor floated up from the abyss, reassembling itself. In another flash of light, a creature appeared. It was a pink, circular creature with four wings. Its eyes were green and pupiless, and it had a heart symbol on it's forehead and cheeks.

The creature, Tenderness, chirped happily as it flew around in a circle. It noticed Marshtomp by the door, and floated over to the water Pokemon.
"Briii~?" Tenderness chirped, flying around Marshtomp and looking it up and down curiously.

Sans looked to the empty wall in the chamber. There was something... off about the wall. With his keen senses, the skeleton was able to detect what it was. There was a hidden door on this wall.

Nótt

Her attack landed, as did a barrage of other strikes. It was enough to send the giant puppet creature flying into the center of the lobby. Nótt was about to give chase, when she noticed some unusual occurrences. Lines of code, flying into a nearby shop. It was code that these Spam creatures had transformed into right before they first appeared. What were they doing in that shop? Acquiring more powerful weapons, perhaps?

Nótt confidently strode into the Regular Magecraft shop. A group of the Spams had found another survivor in here, this one a poor, terrified looking little girl.

"[BREAKING] Your [LIFE] Accounts?"

"How about I break yours?" In a series of spear thrusts and slashes, Nótt cut down the Spams that had surrounded the poor girl. One lunged at Layla in a desperate attempt to cut down the child, when Moon-Wing snatched the creature out of the air and crushed it with his talons.

Letting out a breath, Nótt looked around the room to make sure it was clear. She knelt down to Layla's level, giving the girl a comforting smile.
"Hello, dear. Don't be afraid, I'm not going to hurt you." Nótt looked Layla over. "Are you hurt? Are you injured?"

Jeice

Holding back?! What the hell was it with these people?! He was part of the universes' most powerful fighting team! These fights should be easy!

The throne room suddenly changed and Jeice found he was no longer able to fly. These crazy powers and techniques were getting on his nerves. Dart lunged towards Jeice, slashing with his blade. Jeice stayed light on his feet, moving quick to dodge or deflect the flurry rush. His Noble Scarf boosted his defenses as he put everything into dodging and avoiding.

"MOOOON!!!" Jeice slid across the ground, using his flight ability to move himself sideways. Dart's blade smashed the ground, missing the warrior.

"STRIKE!" Jeice quickly dodged back, but the attack was insane! He was able to dodge the massive slash, but the resulting explosion that followed pushed Jeice back even further. And Dart just kept coming.

This was seriously pissing him off.

"RAAAUGH!" Jeice screamed, lunging towards Dart.

♫♩ So far awaaayyyy, we wait for the dayyyyy ♫♩

He'd pummel this freak into the ground! He'd tear his heart out! Jeice countered Dart's punches and kicks with attacks of his own. Even in his rage, Jeice was still keeping his fighting senses. His attacks were exclusively at Dart's chestplate, attempting to batter it again and again until it broke!

Pit
"Owowow-"

Pit's punch met the shield - and a wave of pain immediately shot along his arm. The weapon's divine protection prevented any actual damage to him, but it sure hurt a lot. The angel tried to retreat following his attack, but he found himself being yanked toward the ground again, and with Taskmaster having a higher point to grab from and less distance to close, the pull was successful, barely outmatching the Power of Flight as the boy was stuck to the ground.

"Hey, that ain't nice!"

The putty had melted a fair amount by now, though it still retained enough stickiness to ground him. At this range and angle, his Burning Palm wouldn't do much good - he needed to switch. The tattoo-like weapon vanished in favor of one similar to a fencing blade, except the blade itself was made of water. An Aquarius Blade.

As quickly as it'd been summoned, the watery blade froze up, cutting swiftly across the putty covering Pit's other arm before aiming at Taskmaster, firing an onslaught of sharp shots of incredibly high-pressure water. Hopefully this one could cut past that shield!

ZedΩ
An array of words now. Interesting.

Zed rose a little higher into the air to give himself more time to react, though the first of the words reached the prince before he could get high enough. A crimson sword flashed below him once more, slicing into the volatile "$CHEAP" - and it burst in a vibrant explosion, blasting the Adept upward, a trail of smoke following him. The Golden Trillion winced, though his demeanor remained the same.

"Fascinating. But mere words cannot blot out the Sun!"

Snapping his fingers, Zed fired a wave of golden feathers down at the approaching words, landing a mark on two of them while a third one glitched past their trajectory, still closing in. From over Zed's shoulder, flocks of golden birds began to continuously spawn, flying off to attack each tagged target, a technique he dubbed Scarlet Passion, inspired by his encounters with Gunvolt. These birds also flew over to attack Jevil, homing onto him with shocking precision, even curving around Tabby and his attacks.

That only left one more glitching word to deal with, for which the prince cast Dea Lacrimae again, the falling blades crashing into the strange projectile. A crimson explosion burst on impact, burning brightly, all while Zed remained up in the air, watching closely for any more attacks. He also noted the presence of Masaru nearby. Perhaps a talk after this would be in order.

He couldn't help but wonder how Luxia's mission was faring. And poor little Layla as well...

Luxia
"Oh, nobody important," The Djinn replied. "Just thought you might need a little help. Whatever that big robot outside is, it's the cause of all this mess."

Luxia now flipped right side up, holding a hand out in the direction of the Mini-Spamton wave. Another barrier appeared between them and Chai, and the spammers were held back momentarily, though they began to quickly attack it. The Septima winced slightly at this, gesturing over to a nearby window.

"How 'bout we get you outta here? Bet you’ll be able to help everyone else out. Plus, it looks like my song is sorta syncing with you, even though you’re not an Adept. Wonder why that is…?”

Despite her nonchalant attitude, Luxia felt a sense of unease building up within her. She didn’t like the way those little salesmen up and vanished when they touched her…

Layla
Chaos was probably the best way to describe what was going on outside. Those weird guys in black and white were pretty scary, and there were a lot of them too. She knew Zed was super strong, though, so Layla hoped her Septima could give him all the support she needed to handle this apocalypse…

Then, a wave of code passed by her.

“Nn!!” Layla cried as multiple of the Mini-Spamtons appeared in the store, surrounding her. The Adept nearly froze up, stepping backward nervously. Suddenly, a tall woman broke into the store, slashing the creepy salesmen into nothingness, with the last one leaping at her before being stomped out by a massive eagle.

"Hello, dear. Don't be afraid, I'm not going to hurt you.” The green-haired lady spoke. “Are you hurt? Are you injured?”

Layla’s tearful red eyes fluttered between Nótt and Moon-Wing, taking a moment to process what had just happened. After a couple seconds, she shook her head, before the girl ran over to Nótt, hugging her leg tightly. It looked a little silly, given how the Jotun woman was two and a half feet taller than her, but it only made her look more protective in Layla’s eyes.

“Mm…!”

Nótt

"Oh!" Nótt looked down at Layla with surprise as the girl dashed up and hugged her. The poor thing was terrified, shaking like a leaf. It sounded like she could barely speak. Nótt smiled reassuringly and petted Layla's head.
"There, there, dear. You're okay." Nótt said. "I'm Nótt, and this is Moon-Wing. Why don't you stay with us until we get this whole ordeal sorted out, hm? What's your name, dear?"

A shattering of glass interrupted the pair, and Nótt looked back to see a pair of Spam clones jump through the window. She quickly moved Layla behind her, readying her spear.
"Behind me, dear. Moon-Wing, look after the child." Nótt ordered. The eagle opened its beak to object, but Nótt silenced her bird with a glare. "Do it."

Moon-Wing glumly fluttered over to Layla, landing on a perch next to her and glaring at the kid. Nótt launched herself into battle, quickly dispatching the two Spams with a series of lance attacks. It seemed like quite a few of the Mini Spams had been destroyed, but there were still a great many out there. And quite a few heading towards the Regular Magecraft. Looking out across the battlefield, Nótt spotted a familiar face.
"Ah! Masaru! Some assistance, if you please!" Nótt called out through the window of the Regular Magecraft. She raised her lance, and began firing bolts of magic through it at the oncoming clones.

Audrey Redheart
As Kirin thought on Redheart's words, Audrey rolled her eyes with her blade relaxed.

"Fine, I can do that." Audrey agreed to Kirin's compromise, though it she didn't appear the happiest at having to compromise at all, though she allowed the Priestess to regain her footing. When Kirin launched more Talismans at Audrey, the Hero had an idea show on her face with a vindicated grin. She swung her blade forward, reflecting the Talismans right back towards Kirin! - Well, mostly, as some quickly shot back into the ground, from a misplaced angle.

But Kirin was charging now, as the adept launched her latest attack. When the thin blade slammed into the ground, Audrey thought she missed for a moment - Before a short rumbling beneath her proved the Hero wrong very quickly - Launching her into the air with a trio of rising blades. She let out a grunt of pain, gritting her teeth before pointing her blade up while in the sky, letting the lightning enter it. Despite the entrance of the lightning, it didn't seem to push her down or anything, as Redheart clawed her hand into the side of one of the blades and used the height to fire a burst of lightning down at Kirin, followed by attempting to dash straight at her for a swift strike.

The Warlock
Feeling his height grow further, which earnestly made the platforms below him seem almost insignificant in comparison, Dhar-Hur Mordenna could only let out a rather maniacal sounding laugh at Dagr's response.

"Do not attempt to play compliments with me, Dagr, what I said is earnest in all-" Before he could even finish his retort, Dagr had seen his attack coming and knocked it off course - Turned out, monologuing is rarely a good strategical choice. This was swiftly followed by a swift flurry of ax strikes, the last one leaving a noticeable cut on his cheek and broken spots on his armour. Quickly teleporting away, appearing on in the middle of the stage, Warlock let out a gruff grunt, glaring daggers at dart.

"Fine - If this is how it will be, no holding back shall be done. Prepare yourself for the champion of GODS, and the power of the Void!" He seemed to feel the need to spell out what he viewed the Elders as, given Dagr's previous taunt. He reached a hand up, with what looked like a break in the very air above him like glass, purple energy swirling down from it into hand as the rift in the void itself closed itself in an instance. Out of hand, the Warlock raised a hand facing his palm to Dagr - And a large beam of Psionic energy, enlarged by the Mindripper's own increase in size, fired out at her!

Masaru Takahara
Gr...Gotta draw the bastard's attention, take some heat off Zed - Give the guy some breathing room.

As Nótt ran off to handle some other matter, Masaru assumed the presence of a survivor, the mixed martial artist gave chase towards the puppet. The weird...tablet guy was handling Jevil, so that just meant it was now time for Masaru's job in all this - Even if he was just human, that little boost Eitri had given him didn't exactly change the fact that he could a lot of blows even on his own. All he had to do was draw some aggression towards himself...

"HEY!" He yelled out towards Spamton NEO, leaping off the ground yet again with his teeth grit and a hard stare in his eyes.

Tornado Press!
"ALL EYES ON ME, LOUDMOUTH!"
In the middle of the air, with all the acrobatics of a great Lucha Libre, Masaru stuck his arms out to cover more air, before barrelling straight towards Spamton's chest with all his weight behind him!

His next move, hit or miss, would be to take the time to steady himself to land another technique...
Alola Slap!
Followed by the strength of a master sumo wrestler, he attempted to strike several hard blows with his fits and palm, building up to the force of a miniature hurricane.

During this time, he shot a silent look right up to Zed, and a short nod. Seemed he held a similar sentiment to Zed in that they would talk later.

Chai

"Yeah? That is weird..."

Music and music...song and song. Beat and beat. There could only be one explanation as to why they were seeming to sync up the way they were. Chai's eyes lit up.

"You have musical robot powers too!"

A firm name had never been given to his abilities, so that's what he kept calling it, but it felt appropriate. As she held them back, Chai gave a whimsical look before readying his guitar like a baseball bat.

"You might wanna get ready to duck."

Taking advantage of her barrier, he began to magnetize many things in the diner. Utensils, screws, trays, TVs, and other junk began to assemble onto his now growing club attached to his guitar. That's when Chai would swing it at the ton of spammers, the debris of the club breaking off on swing, sharp electrified junk flying everywhere. It should take them all out in one go!

Magolor
Bolts scorched the plaza floor as the massive mech raised hell, aiming to strike the egg down. Magolor giggled as he buckled down on the Monster Flame as it curved upwards. It took the lighting bolts as it ascended, impressively staying intact. But with each bolt, the Monster Flame got shorter and shorter, until it was left just as a head. Magolor abandoned ship, leaving the Monster Flame to tank one more bolt, after which it detonated into a magic explosion!
The explosion sent Magolor reeling for second, and as the merchant recovered, he was greeted to the sight of Spamton's jester ally in the shape of a scythe, fighting a living phone with firearms.
He'd seen weirder things, but it was still close.
Magolor raised his hands, and a wall of magic orbs appeared on both sides of Jevil. With Tabby assaulting Jevil's front, Magolor attacked his sides, slamming his hands together. The magic orbs followed his movement, sandwiching the jester between the egg's magic!

Lucario
"Ol' Blue?" Lucario asked. He was unfamiliar with that name, but apparently whoever it was knew of him.
NiGHTS' didn't answer quite yet, severing one of the monkey bars and using it as a blunt weapon. Lucario responded in kind, summoning a bone staff in his paws and blocking her overhead strike with it.
"Impressive strength." Lucario complimented as the two were locked in a power struggle. "I will not hold back either."
Lucario suddenly stopped resisting, shifting to the side and letting NiGHTS' slip to his left. Assuming the sudden movement caught NiGHTS off guard, Lucario would quickly jab his bone staff against her skull. If not, Lucario would instead twirl his bone staff defensively to force her back.

Taskmaster
"You've got a lot of options. I can respect that."

As soon as Pit stuck to the ground, Taskmaster knew it was time for the coup de grâce. He had a limited window before the putty was destroyed. He activated Knowledge is Power as Pit cut his arm free, which showed him the coming water blasts before they came. He flipped over them when they did, and soared over his foe. With one hand, he took his bow back out, and with the other, he flung a bola at the angel which, if wrapped around him, would send a jarring shock through the boy and hopefully render him unconscious.

"But without those wings, you're just some kid with too many toys, ain'tcha."

If Pit had retained consciousness after the shock, the arrow Taskmaster procured was a tear gas arrow, which he shot at the pavement below Pit. If the angel had gotten free entirely, the arrow he procured was another putty arrow, which he aimed to fire into the warrior's back.

Marshtomp
Just as Marshtomp felt the ground beneath his feet fade, just as he stared into the void beneath him- he was back on solid ground in the doorway. That was a spooky experience for the Mud Fish, and he stood still for a moment in shock. Sans walked over to a blank wall to admire the architecture, and as soon as the Marshtomp snapped out of his stupor, a strange creature appeared as the floor came up from the abyss. It seemed friendly- inquisitive, even. The Pokémon tilted his head, as he was curious too. He'd never seen a Pokémon like this one before!

"Marshtomp! [Hello!]"

NiGHTS

Lucario stepped to the side, letting the pressure NiGHTS was putting on the bone rush staff fall through, stumbling forward. However, they embraced their fall, ending up at an almost 45° angle before halting in the air. As the bone club came to reach for their head, NiGHTS's eyes enlarged, their head animatedly jumped up from their neck as the attack whizzed past where their head use to be, before plopping back down.

"Right for the jugular, eh? Alright!"

Flipping the monkey bar to the side, they kicked it with both feet, sending the wide bar down with surprising force. After which, they lept off the bridge and close to the icey pillars, snowmen, and the ever closer city.

KASSANDRA

There was a shifting underfoot- before a pillar of earth exploded from the ground, carrying the misthios at its epicenter, and headed straight for a reeling beetle fist. Now would be a good time to switch styles.

Artemis's Bow vanished, and was instead replaced by a small green blade: Arachne's Stinger. She needed to prioritize speed at the moment, and so in the surprisingly rapid pace of the pillar, Kassandra rolled to one side as Kragg's fist smashed into the dirt. Chunks of earth went spraying in every direction, while the misthios used the gathered inertia (and the subsequent halting of her ride via Kragg's punch) to be sent flying up and past the bastion, simultaneously attempting to leave a scratch going up Kragg's carapace.

If successful, the scratch would begin to fester and bubble, as an acid-like property would turn the scratch into a gash that no weapon could naturally form. It would stop, of course, but the damage would be done.

Still airborne, Kassandra twisted in the air like a cat, before she came down. Her boots slammed into the ground, and she skid back- coming to a stop when her back made contact with a frozen statue. To her right, a massive Medusa head glared at her.

IRNANE

Despite shortcomings- Rinku didn't take advantage of the developing situation. Irnane glanced toward the two yo-yo's that remained motionless on the ground, their strings snapped. Azura's power had disabled them, though with that power waning the longer Dark Shadow receded into the past, there was no telling how soon the demon's weapons would regain their might.

Perhaps this was a stroke of good fortune, further incentive offered by fate in the face of this moment to breathe. Rinku was a... suffocating opponent.

Quickly, the dark elf dashed toward the yo-yo's. Armed with the Sword of White Woe and Soul Edge, she aimed to bring them down upon one of the weapons as rapidly as possible- before she paused. Sliding away White Woe, Irnane instead raised a palm, and fire jettisoned out, suffocating the yo-yo's and the remaining strings, burning them. She kept her eye toward where Rinku had disappeared. He'd no doubt take offense to this.

DART

Jeice came back with a furious vengeance, and for the first time in the fight, Dart lost his smile. His opponent was out for blood. He was furious that the Red Warrior wasn't falling to him. Could there truly be people out there that were this full of themselves? So concerned with being superior that they couldn't even welcome a challenge?

Dart couldn't understand.

♫♩ For the lives all so wasted and goooone ♫♩

This guy wasn't going to respect the fight. He wasn't even going to appreciate it. Jeice had LOST two fights, hadn't he? He'd been brought back by popular demand to give him a second chance. Didn't he realize, after two defeats, that he wasn't the greatest here? Everyone was- or should have been- roughly equal to one another.

Dart could never understand people like this.

♫♩ We feel the pain of a lifetime within a thousand days ♫♩

Jeice's blows came with rapidity, barreling against Dart's defenses. The pure rage exerted by the mutant was giving him an unprecedented burst in speed, and the Red Warrior couldn't keep up. Jeice focused his attention on the armor, battering it more and more. Dents began to mark its surface as Jeice unrelented.

The armor cracked.

♫♩ Through the fire and the flames we carry ooooon!!! ♫♩

And finally, Dart understood.

Face set like stone, Dart's mind set in as his focus became clearer than ever. Just like against Warlock- Dart was finally taking this seriously.

The Red Magma's fists were a blur as they came in, but Heat Blade met each hit, Dart positioning himself with a cold calculation that contrasted his fiery passion. Bursts of flames erupted from each point of contact, so Jeice threw a side-slug, knocking the blade away and letting him land a blow into the mercenary's chest.

The armor spider-webbed with damage.

Heat Blade vanished in a flash of emerald flames, replaced immediately by another sword.

Mind Crush swung back around, and before Jeice could land a second hit, his fist struck the blade. A purple burst of light emitted from the contact point, and Jeice's mind would suddenly be flooded with a mental attack, searing noise and flashes of light clouding his senses. With an opening, Dart took a step forward and slashed horizontally, aiming for his blade to batter against the Ginyu Force battle armor. Another burst of mental energy would assault Jeice. BAM! BAM! BAM! With each step, Dart attempted to overwhelm the Red Magma with hits that would overload the mutant's mind. Physically Mind Crush was no special sword. Outside of its ability, it would probably never cut into that battle armor, but that wasn't Dart's plan as he pressed the initiative, drums and guitar riffs backing his movements.

NEPHTHYS

Damnit...

This strange feeling of sapping energy was seriously beginning to drain on the gardevoir, but she continued to power through it, for now. Much as she didn't personally like Rex, she wasn't about to leave him at the "mercy" of some creep.

Summoning a reversal portal, a disc-like shape appeared right between Rex and the beam-firing finger. The energy blasted inward, but disappeared into the portal when it reached Raptor. Immediately, the beam emerged slightly under where it had come from, blating right back toward the Dark King.

There was a blackness clouding the edges of her vision, but Nephthys progressed, appearing directly at the Dark King's left as one of her hands was cloaked in potent violet energy, which she brought up like a sword, intending to slash the man's arm off that held Rex.

SANS

"interesting..." the skeleton muttered, his tone indicating humor, before he shoved his hands in his pockets and turned away. The sound of battle came from the room Neph and Rex had gone into, but again, Sans didn't seem to do anything about it, instead approaching Marshtomp. His eyes scanned over the Tenderness summon, but inwardly, the judge shrugged.

This really wasn't his problem, he was here for the ride. Somewhat unwillingly, but such was the way of life.

THE PLA-PLA-^_ -- PALOOZA!

Tabby and Magolor were locked in battle with Jevil.

Chai, Luxia/Layla, and Nótt fended off the waves of Spammers, only more dropping in from the stands to fill the lobby.

Zed and Masaru put their focus on NEO.

"HEY!"

Spamton's head spun quickly to face Masaru. Zed remained at a distance, seemingly observing the scene. Maybe he'd been tuckered out a little bit, the puppet considered.

"ALL EYES ON ME!"

Masaru slammed into the salesman, battering against his chest. His legs slid along the ground, but his body remained in the air, almost as though he were held up by something. Masaru followed up with hard-hitting strikes, continuing to press the robot further and further away from the center of the lobby, nearing the walls that usually housed the gateways to arenas, all silent and empty for the moment.

"I KNOW Y-yY_OU'RE TRYING T=)0O [Distracted] ME," Spamton said, before his hand swung forward and slapped Masaru to the side.

"AND [I'm Falling For It]"

Once more, his heart emerged from his chest, blasting toward Masaru with the intent to pummel him down before it released more waves of electricity. It was yanked back, only to burst forth with another wave of electricity, again and again, aiming to crush the man into the ground as Spamton cackled.

As this took place outside, within Regular Restaurant, Chai had gathered up a powerful move, throwing it at the Spammers to dispatch them all in one go. The eruption of metal sent many of them flying, bursting apart into dispersing code, but one toward the back of the group enlarged his head to comical sizes.

"Transmit Kromer"

Monetary symbols appeared at the back of the restaurant, flying toward the massive-headed Spammer as audio of a vacuum began to emit over the music, as though it had been hijacked. The building itself seemed to bend, forming a funnel the led straight to the Spammer's wide open mouth, making any reasonable route of escape near impossible. The air began to suck toward the puppet's gaping maw, growing stronger by the second as more Spammers continued to pile down into the lobby...

"Don't You Wanna Be A [BIG SHOT]?"

Nótt blasted apart more encroaching Spammers, but the sheer amount was becoming overwhelming. All of the attention had been quickly focused into the lobby, and literal spam waves were creating a waterfall into the lobby in all their excitement.

Masaru was left too preoccupied to adhere to Nótt's calls. The Spammers gave him and NEO breathing room, instead filling out the shops as they pranced about with their ridiculous advertisements.

"[THAT'S A LOTTA DAMAGE!]" One Spammer shouted when the one beside him erupted into dispersing code after Nótt had blasted him.

It didn't help matters when several Spammers coded their way into the back of the store, more and more quickly following suit to close in around Nótt and Layla from either side.

Did this count as a zombie apocalypse?

Spamton NEO's head swiveled about as he took everything in, and he let out another glitching laugh. Just about everyone was gathered. All that was left was bring Jevil's fight closer, and get Zed down into the lobby. Then things could really kick off.

Rinku

Irnane went to break the Yo-Yos, but unseated shifted to incinerating the traces of them. The devil serpent Yo-Yos had swept ones hisses and cries heard from inside as flames bathed the string as well as them. While the strings melted like any normal child's toy would, the Yo-yos remained pristine, their creation being made from the Hellfires of the demon world. The toys then wriggled and slithered as if they were actual snakes.

Rinku's ear twitched as he heard the snake cries. The soul of the snake cried out. Did Irnane know how difficult it was to hunt that thing down in the first place? Something tells him she wouldn't care regardless. Finding an interesting weak point in the debris with his foot, he kept that in his mind for later use. In the meantime, he felt Ki slowly returning to his hands, his power almost restored to them.

"Now..."

Taking off his hat and using it to scoop a bunch of rocks and debris, he flew upwards, emerging within eyesight of the woman he was fighting. Flicking his hat up, the rocks flew out of the hat. And with a flurry of kick, several stones and piece of debris were flung at her, hurtling at fast speeds. The Ki was disabled in his arms, NOT his legs!

Rex Raptor

"Ack!"

Rex grasped his throat, feeling the poison rush through his system. The wrong choice?? Just his luck! Was there even a right one?? He fell to his knees as he coughed, feeling the burning sensation get worse as the monster revealed their true form.

"Aagh! Do I look fine?!" He strained out, responding to Neph.

His vision was blurry and his legs were weak, he'd try and wash it out with water if he had some, but now he just had to bite through it. He couldn't even find it in himself to retaliate much when the man hoisted him up. Only fighting it to open an eye and grip onto his wrist.

"Ngh...you...snake...!"

Lucario
Lucario blinked once in surprise as NiGHTS' head popped clean off, before reattaching after his strike. He quickly pulled his bone staff back and widened his stance as NIGHTS' threw her metal bar at him. He met the attack with his palm, snapping the bar in half and leaving the two to spin into the icy wonderland below.
Lucario followed NiGHTS', hopping between the frozen pillars , even sliding over their tops without losing his footing. The aura pokemon flung his staff mid-hop, sending the spinning weapon towards an ice pillar. It rebounded off it, and onto another, bouncing between pillars until it would blindside NiGHTS' right!

Dagr

Warlock teleported away, again. Man, that was annoying. Still, it could be worse. At least he couldn't teleport away to escape the battle completely. Dagr couldn't let him rest. She ran towards him as he spoke. He was powering up an attack!

Warlock unleashed an powerful energy blast, and Dagr reacted in kind!
"Dragon Fang!" Dagr exclaimed, calling forth energies around her ax. She swung her ax as Warlock unleashed his attack. The power of Warlock's attack instantly caused the energy dragon to dissipate, but sharpness of Dagr's ax and the energy of her attack split Warlock's energy beam. It cascaded by either side of Dagr, pushing the warrior princess back slightly but leaving her unharmed.

"Weak gods!" Dagr exclaimed, laughing as she closed the distance to Warlock. The power up from the mini-game ended, shrinking the two warriors back to their normal sizes. Dagr jumped into the air, boosted by Sun-Wing's wing, and aimed a series of powerful slashes at Warlock. At the same time, Sun-Wing fired a pair of energy beams from its eyes! If the energy beams hit Warlock, they would not hurt him, but instead slow him slightly and weaken the power of his next attacks.

Jeice

Jeice staggered back under the barrage of this new weapon. Searing pain shot through his mind as his nose began to bleed. Psychic attacks?! This bastard had even more tricks?! Jeice let out another battle cry, unleashing a blast of ki attacks directly in front of him and an invisible shockwave from his body. His attacks slammed into the ground, kicking up dust and smoke and temporarily obscuring the area around him. Jeice shot backwards with flying ability, only hovering an inch off the ground as he tried to regain his focus.

Luckily, this wasn't Jeice's first rodeo against psychic attacks. His teammate Guldo excelled in them. Despite being a total weakling, he probably was one of the most powerful psychics in the universe. But no way would Guldo be able to fight like this.

Dart's armor was damaged, Jeice knew that much. He was gonna gut this warrior. Red energy condensed around the Red Magma's hand, concentrating and sharpening into his energy blade technique. He'd fight a blade with a blade, and hopefully the ki field around his hand would prevent the psychic attacks from hitting him.

Using his scouter, Jeice was able to easily lock on to Dart's location. He lunged towards Dart, attacking with a series of slashes of his ki blade technique and looking to stab through Dart's chestplate!

Nótt

Nótt's calls for assistance fell on deaf ears. To be fair, Masaru had bigger things to worry about at the moment. The Spam clones began to swarm the store, and Nótt was forced to fall back to defending Layla once again. Moon-Wing had her back, taking down any Spam clone that tried to sneak up from behind. Still, it took no legendary tactician to see that their current position was untenable in the long run.

"Hold on tightly, dear." Nótt said, scooping up Layla. The Princess blasted a hole in the roof of the store with her lance, and jumping off the shelves and wall, leapt through it. Even on top of the store, there were Spam clones waiting. Nótt slashed through them, running and jumping from one roof to the next. Here on top of the buildings, she could get a good look at the battle, and the allies. A another had joined in. A strange ninja with a flat, glowing face was the newest one. Masaru, the egg creature (which Nótt now recognized as the eliminated contestant Magolor), the man with the flame wing were all working together fighting the strange mannequin man and the strange jester (which Nótt now recognized as the eliminated contestant Jevil). The Spam clones seemed to be giving space around the massive mannequin man, perhaps looking to keep the survivors fighting the main boss.

But there was another place the Spam clones were flocking too. A different restaurant, the Regular Burger. Nótt jumped to the top of the Regular Burger, looking through the skylight at the situation inside. A massive head of a Spamton, attempting to suck in everything. Including two people, one that Nótt recognized as the eliminated contestant Chai, and another a tanned woman with purple clothing that didn't seem all there. An Emblem?

"Dragon Fang!" Nótt fired a powerful energy attack through the skylight at the massive Spamton head. The energy dragon roared, and attempted to destroy the creature. Nótt looked to Chai and Luxia.
"Up here! Quickly now!" Nótt called down. For Chai, he would be close enough to utilize Nótt's [Pathfinder] ability to teleport to the roof.

The Dark Labyrinth

"Brii~!" Tenderness called back to Marshtomp. It floated above the Pokemon, gently bobbing back and forth. It could sense this creature had a lot of love in its heart, wonderful! Tenderness turned its attention over to the other creature in the main room, a skeleton. How curious! Most of the time, these zombie type monsters carried with them a dark, sickly aura. But this one did not! Tenderness floated over to Sans, flying around the skeleton curiously.

In Rex's and Neph's room, the battle was underway. The beam of energy struck the Dark King, and the fiend let out a shriek of pain. It let go of Rex, turning to face Neph as she charged towards the monster. It's hand became cloaked in a dark energy, and it slashed at Neph at the same time she slashed at him.

Neph's attack struck first, and the Dark King of the Abyss shrieked in pain again. He staggered back, then exploded into pixels.

For a moment, all was calm. Then, a light! The stone carving of the key began glow, and it transformed into a metal key. The key detatched itself off the wall, and floated to Neph and Rex.

Jevil

Jevil, being a scythe, was not actually affected by the attacks that came after him as much as would be expected. The scythes missed Tabby, who had used the double jump boots, however they simply spiraled outward and back upwards, homing in on the robot. The robot seemed to calculate this, however, and blasted a stream of plasma bullets at the scythes.

At the same time, a wall of magical orbs appeared on either side of Jevil, and converged together like a man clapping his hands- which it appears they were genuinely following. There was, however, no ceiling to the house of orbs, which Jevil chose to exploit by launching himself and the other scythes as far upward as possible, shooting past Tabby and the orbs and reaching high into the sky.

As he reached the peak of his flight, Jevil turned back into himself, before noticing that Spamton appeared to be trying to gather the rest of the people into one spot. Being his ally, Jevil chose to try and assist Spamton in this, by leading Tabby towards the growing crowd. He flew off to the side, before summoning a series of horse-shaped platforms leading from Tabby to himself and taunting, saying "You're too slow, too slow!" while sticking out his tongue.

The platforms are slightly bobbing up and down, but are close enough together that Tabby can jump from one to the other quite easily in order to try and reach Jevil. When he gets close, however, Jevil will quickly fly in the direction of Spamton's crowd and summon more platforms. The plan is to lead Tabby towards the spot at which Spamton seeks to crowd together the heroes.

Kirin
Some of the talismans were sent back at the priestess, who swiftly grabbed each one out of the air. She had plenty of experience using them, plus incredible ability handling cards, which were somewhat similar. Regardless, Audrey had been knocked into the air by her Merciful Beheading, though she was coming back down with a vengeance.

Another blast of lightning came Kirin's way, the Adept barely able to move out of the way in time. It struck the ground behind her, blasting Kirin forward, kicking up a cloud of dirt everywhere - and when Audrey followed up with a dash slash, the Battle Priestess was in no position to counter. Her poorly placed blade was swiftly knocked aside, sending Kirin rolling roughly along the dirt. Those lightning blasts were both fast and dangerous, like some of GV's own attacks. If they came from some sort of psychic background, then maybe she could seal that sword...

Keeping her distance this time, Kirin launched yet another flurry of talismans at her opponent. While most of them would be dead on, a few were placed to intentionally miss, landing on the ground, poles or trees around and behind Audrey. What the priestess needed were options and to test her theory.

Pit
Somehow, Taskmaster was able to avoid the angel's counterattack. Now mostly freed from the putty's restraints, Pit swung his Aquarius Blade overhead, meeting the bola in midair - and the projectile was frozen solid in an instant, falling to the ground harmlessly. This gave the boy enough of an opening to cut through the remaining putty, flipping onto his feet to face his opponent.

"Well, I'll show you what this kid can do!"

Masters had already procured another putty arrow, launching it at the angel - and just like the bola before it, it was frozen upon contact with the Aquarius Blade. It did somewhat release its load in time, freezing over to simply shatter against Pit's body, which stung a little. Still better than getting stuck again. Now that he'd withheld his fire for a bit, the captain of Palutena's guard leapt backward, firing a larger, powerful charge shot of super high-pressure water!

ZedΩ
Masaru was now launching quite an attack on Spamton NEO, knocking the large machine away from the center - though it put perhaps a little too much attention on him. Spamton's focus was now entirely on him, and with the more limited mobility Zed knew his now-ally had, dealing with all those attacks could not be easy.

"I can't allow that!"

As such, the Golden Trillion swopped down in a flash, a rainbow trail following his movements. He aimed for the area underneath Spamton, where Masaru was located, timing his dash as to pass by in between one of the heart's pulses. If all went according to plan, Zed would pick up Masaru in a scarlet barrier, carrying both fighters to safety just before another attack came down. A slight smirk would creep onto the prince's face at this.

"Fate has some incredible things in mind, does it not?"

Layla
"Nn...!"

The waves of Spammers didn't stop coming. Layla found herself inching closer and closer to the warrior lady, feeling a little extra uncomfortable with Moon-Wing's eye piercing into her. Soon, Nótt picked the small girl up, blasting a hole in the ceiling for them to escape through. The Adept did as her rescuer requested, holding on for dear life onto the woman's back as they soared in between rooftops. Soon, they arrived atop that Regular Burger place, where a few more Spammers still attacked, trying to catch two more survivors. There, Layla spotted a familiar woman...

Luxia
Luxia couldn't help but giggle at Chai's whimsy. The power of song was a very powerful thing, yet very rare in both of their worlds, it seemed. The rockstar's seemed to have a little more offensive purposes, as he quickly launched a storm of scrap at the incoming Spammers, leaving only a handful remaining. One particular salesman wanted to cause a lot of trouble, warping the space of the restaurant to vacuum the area into his gaping mouth. It had little effect on the Djinn, of course, but the human would probably have a teensy bit more trouble.
Just in time, however, someone attacked the Mini-Spamton through the skylight overhead, providing a solid chance to escape. In addition to Nótt's [Pathfinder] ability, Chai would feel a mystical aura wash over him, granting him the ability to perform multiple jumps in midair to greatly boost his mobility. Flying up to the roof herself, Luxia spotted-

"Layla!" The woman called out, clearly shocked. "Are you alright?!"

"...Mm." The little girl remained silent as ever, but her Septima could clearly understand her. Layla let go of Nótt, walking over to Luxia's side.

"Oh, thank goodness... You could've called me or Zed to your side if you needed help, you know?" She reprimanded slightly, though she couldn't be upset for long. Besides Layla being her wielder, Luxia was also just glad that she was alright. The Djinn turned to face Nótt. "You saved her, didn't you? I really owe you one. Name's Luxia, by the way."

IRNANE

The serpentine mannerisms of the yo-yo's was not lost on Irnane. She quickly understood what that meant- at least what it would have meant in her world, by the rules she applied by. Rinku had trapped a serpent's spirit within, or something akin to that. She doubted it was any grass snake, either. A rival demon, perhaps?

Rinku was drawn out, as he leapt up from where he'd disappeared, now doubt expecting to surprise her. She had concluded with his two discarded weapons for now, so ceased her fire magic. His other six (if she had counted correctly) would be functional shortly, and prove an issue once more, but that objectively much better than eight.

Despite complications, her original plan going into this hadn't changed: take out his weapons. One by one.

The stones and debris flew toward her, but with the flick of her wrist, Soul Edge whirred to life, buzzing like a saw as it swept in front of the attack, cutting each particle down to size in a single deft swing, before she took off quickly toward the demon, certain he had set something up. He wanted her to chase him. She needed to be wary.

With her other hand, she prepared a spell, but paused in its use. Not yet. First, she must spring the trap.

DART

(Peppermint/808 written by Shen)

The ki blasts generated the clouding field as Jeice desired, and Dart took a step back as he gazed about for a moment. He couldn't see past this, and Jeice could pull anything. He needed to think. He needed...

"Ey, that's not good." A voice called out.

Peppermint, who was just now catching up to the scene of the crime after a fast paced set of fighting moves, arrived near the dust cloud, calling out to Dart as she looked up and down.

"There's massive energy build up inside that cloud, something to do with his hands..." she said, her optics scanning through the dust. "Wait, he's moving-!"

That's when Jeice shot out of the dust cloud, 808 jumping in response as the Red Magma lunged ferociously at Dart.

Dart didn't turn to the voice, but he knew it was his new and good pal 808. He focused at her warning, appreciating that he'd used some tokens to get help like hers. He'd have never seen what was coming otherwise. Dart closed his eyes, sensing what she'd said. He could feel that energy, and- then came her warning.

Dart's eyes snapped open, and his free hand moved.

st-TOOM!

Jeice's fist stopped short, Dart's hand grasping his elbow- but he hadn't stopped him fast enough. Half of the blade stuck into the armor, meaning a fair chunk had pierced into Dart himself.

"Hrk-!" Dart winced, gritting his teeth, but his muscles only seemed to bulge as he held Jeice's arm back, who continued to push forward. Slowly but surely... the blade was sinking in further...

Jeice kept pushing, knowing victory was practically a hairsbreadth away.

"No..."

♫♩ Whoa-oh-oh ♫♩
♫♩ Whoa-oh-oh ♫♩
♫♩ Whoa-oh-oh-ohohhhhh ♫♩

Dart hissed through his teeth, his eyes burning into Jeice's. "Someone like you... someone who expects victory... who doesn't... EARN the mantle of warrior... Even if you once did... You can't ever stop being a warrior... When you forget what that means... You become..."

Jeice's arm started to move backwards as Dart let out a growl, a strange glow beginning to surround him.

"You become unworthy... of that... HONOR!"

♫♩ Whoa-oh-oh ♫♩
♫♩ Whoa-oh-oh ♫♩

A burst of energy exploded off the legendary mercenary as he shoved the blade all the way out, the Red Warrior rising into the air as the light fully enveloped his body, releasing pulsing waves that prevented anything from getting near. Green chutes of flames emerged from his shoulder blades, bursting out into the air as Dart crossed his arms over his chest, the light and flames appearing to consume his body before-

♫♩ Whoa-oh-oh-ahooohhh ♫♩

Mind Flay slashed horizontally with the ground, transformed just as Dart had been, his legendary Dragoon form finally appearing. All the intense fighting had allowed him to build the necessary energy to reach this point- and then some. He was at his maximum energy, and finally, he could cut lose in the entirety of his power.

Glaring forward at Jeice, the dragoon's wings flapped lightly, clearly more for show than actual utility- they weren't what was keeping him afloat. His armor had been reforged into something new, fully closed around his body. Larger and bulkier. There was no telling what Jeice's scouter was telling him now, but it probably wasn't anything good for the mutant.

"SO EITHER EARN BACK THAT HONOR, OR DIE. A PLACE LIKE THIS IS NO PLACE FOR COWARDS LIKE YOU."

NEPHTHYS

The gardevoir nearly fell to a knee as she struggled with her encroaching exhaustion. How was Bakura doing this? Was there a method to stop it? Regardless, she had defeated the Dark King. Another simple victory. Bakura's game here wasn't to kill them, not yet. He wanted to whittle them down, starting with her.

Nephthys eyed the floating key for a moment, before she looked away from it toward Rex, who was still struggling with the pain of his choice in beverage. Focusing, she put a hand forward. <Try and still yourself, this may feel weird but I need to remove the poison.>

They didn't know if it's effects would persist, or if it would have some affect on his real body. Too many risks they couldn't take. It was the most he deserved for his foolish sacrifice.

...She had to tell herself that, at least. In all honesty, when she'd heard his initial choke...

All she thought of was Wally.

Slowly, the gardevoir focused on the poison within, trying to guide it back through his system as quickly as she could without letting it continue to touch within, creating a thin stream to pull out. Unorthodox, but she'd never done something like this before. Hopefully he'd heed her advice and let her get this part over with.

YOU ALREADY KNOW THE D-Dd_DEAL

Nótt's blast came in from the side, walloping the SPAM SUCC. His tiny body wiggled and flailed as he went flying like a beach ball, flipping upside down, his head bouncing off of a building and continuing to send him flying through the air. For some reason, the powerful Dragon Fang attack didn't seem to do as much damage as intended. A possible thing to note when a Spammer, or Spamton himself, got a head a little too big for their body.

Regardless, the move had cleared out the Spammer, and the warping effects on Regular Restaurant were alleviated, freeing Chai (in the event he wasn't prepared to free himself). But outside, things didn't seem to be going quite as well...

"Fate has some incredible things in mind, does it not?"

"SO DO [Silly Strings!]"

Zed suddenly choked before he'd cleared the lobby, a green wire wrapped around his throat, two more grabbing his wrists, before he was rapidly and violently pulled backward before Masaru could help to free him, forcing the human to fall as Zed zipped back toward Spamton, whose free hand was raised, the strings emerging from his fingertips, before his head snapped forward.

Skull collided with body as Spamton smashed his face into Zed, who was slammed into the floor, the lobby's tile cracking all around him as pieces of it went flying. The green strings continued to constrict upon his wrists and throat, and even as his flames, birds, and flaming wing burst upon them, they didn't seem to relent. They weren't natural constructs, apparently not working by natural rules and laws. They were something else... something that Spamton himself probably didn't know the truth behind.

"THAT ONE'S [For Free]."

Raising his cannon, a yellow charge began to glow within, growing brighter and brighter as the NEO's mechanical laughter surged around them. "THIS ONE WILL COST YOU [$4.99!]"

NiGHTS

Lucario showed a high level of skill, as they disciplined pokemon hurled their Bone Rush staff pinging and panging off pillars which NiGHTS had a hard time following, especially since it was behind them. By the time she caught up to it-

THWACK!

They were blindsided by the staff, hitting the side of them as they were slapped down into the snowy below. At least the fluffy white snow helped soften the fall as a NiGHTS shaped snow angel was imprinted on the ground. Shaking their horned head, the nightmaren flipped frontside up, opening their eyes to Lucario hot on their trail.

"Since we are already in the throwing mood, how about you catch this?"

Suddenly, a Persona mask overlayed atop of their face as NiGHTS changed shape. They took the form of a multicolored rocket that seemed highly cartoonish and rubbery, the rocket fired at alarming speeds. After whizzing, whirling, and looping, it then winded towards Lucario, where NiGHTS-rocket would explode into a blast of fireworks!

Rinku

She easily dealt with the rocks before meeting the child assuming demon head on. As she was lunging in his direction, he felt his hands lose their numbness, energy flowing through them again.

Oh would you look at that. Yo-yos are back on.

The Yo-Yos practically magnetizing to their finger homes, as Rinku dropped down, the Yo-Yos were slung upwards. The sudden shift to them after previously showing unable to use them would surely be of a surprise. So he aimed to take advantage of it as they aimed lower, away from the sensory organs so they would slice at her ankles and legs.

Chai

"Woah woah woah, hey! Sorry for killing your babies!" He shouted to Spamton NEO as the large salesman tried to vacuum him up.

But right in time to help, Nott cleared the way and made an opening in the ceiling whilst she and Luxia bestowed him with...some weird power? They didn't explain what their things just did, so he was left to figure it out for himself.

He felt the undeniable urge to go up, and when Nott shouted at him to get up there, Chai winced in the face of the giant sales robot before suddenly-

-He had warped to the roof. Opening his eyes wider, he patted himself down, making sure he was all there, looking about discombobulated.

"Did you do that?" He asked Luxia. "It feels...like I got a new power up in a game."

But there were bigger fish to fry, as that big Spamton wouldn't just be left to its own devices forever. Quickly darting his head left and right, Chai, in a panicked voice, demanded answers.

"What are we going to do?? What's going on?? How did this happen?! And why couldn't they wait for my fries to be ready?!?"

Rex Raptor

The monster was beaten and Rex was free of his grasp. While having the key was nice, the pain is what weighed on the duelist's mind. So when the Gardevoir came over to ease the poison, Rex was uncharacteristically obedient, letting her do as she wished.

It was...a weird feeling to say the least. His innards churned, but thankfully this poison was a recent thing, so was closer towards his mouth than it would be if they waited to do this. He threw his mouth open as some purple fluid escaped his jaws before he started coughing, his body naturally helping with the rest. There was a resting sense of heartburn, the taste of the poison still firm on his tongue, but he felt the pain subside greatly.

"That's the last time I take stuff bubbling liquid from strangers." He managed to joke, coughing a time. "...Hey, did you swallow any poison? You ain't looking good yourself?"

IRNANE

Damn it all! Irnane grit her teeth as she immediately threw her own legs out from under as soon as she'd seen the yo-yo's slipping back to Rinku's fingers- his control had been restored sooner than she'd hoped. The dark elf fell to her rear as she plunged Soul Edge into the dirt, stopping her almost instantly, before used it as an anchor (alongside a push from her legs) to swing her body around in a quick arc, coming to stop at the other side of the blade as Rinku made his sweeping attack.

If the yo-yo's came any closer, they'd risk contacting Soul Edge, which was something of a deterrent. During Rinku's sweep attack with the yo-yo's, Irnane used the spell she'd had prepared, throwing it down to let it splash, almost like water, across the ground. It wasn't entirely unlike the splat bomb Rinku had used, though with less range. An unorthodox way to use a spell, but Rinku called for unorthodox countermeasures.

As the yo-yo's swept, and were hopefully caught up in the splash range of the expelled magic, Irnane would dash forward once they made their pass as she pulled Soul Edge from the ground. Through a stroke of luck, there happened to be a little support.

"SCRAAAAAA!"

The skeleton Rinku had earlier ignored now came up behind him, swinging with its sword.

The spell Irnane had splashed in the path of the yo-yo's was none other than her favored Curse Speed spell, and given what she understood about his ki, it could have better effect than Weapon Eater had been. Before, Rinku had taken the harmed energy and replaced it. Curse Speed, however, was more like a plague. It didn't affect a localized area. Once it made its contact, it would spread as far as the energy it was harming would go. Unlike Weapon Eater, it wouldn't last perpetually if the energy remained. By using this, Irnane hoped that the yo-yo's, Rinku, and his own demon energy would suffer the sin of sloth for a time, long enough for the Nerevarine to properly dispatch him as she closed in from the front, banking on the spell taking effect.

NEPHTHYS

To her relief (and some surprise, given her inexperience in the matter), Rex was freed of his poison, coughing up what remained. Nephthys leaned backward slightly as he made a joke she didn't quite catch, closing her eyes. This drain on her wasn't something she'd experienced before. Sure, she'd known what it was like to be tired, but that was physical. It was as though there was an assault on her psychic core itself. It left her feeling dizzy.

"...Hey, did you swallow any poison? You ain't looking good yourself?"

Nephthys opened her eyes, looking back at Raptor. Was that... genuine concern he'd just expressed. No, there had to be some other motive to. Then again, perhaps he was thankful for her aid in ridding the poison, even if he didn't outright say it. She assumed that wasn't too far fetched.

<I will live,> the gardevoir replied. Normally she'd have pulled herself to her feet with her mind. She was used to floating about via that same method, but at the moment, she felt too weary in her psyche to try it. It was already taking substantial energy to keep herself and everybody here whole and conscious. Now with this drain, there was a likelihood they'd be more susceptible to Bakura's schemes. She had to keep ahold of herself to prevent that. <You drank from the cup. You've earned the key. Take it, and get us out of this damned area.>

Magolor
The scythe was stronger than he though, pushing through Tabby's bullet rain and slicing up and out of his attack. As Jevil soared into the sky, Magolor summoned a rune in preparation...before the jester retreated closer to his ally, taunting the two as he did.
"You're too slow, too slow!" he jeered.
That was bait, obviously. Magolor had pulled similar tactics before, though hardly as blatant as that. The scheming mage turned to Tabby to discuss their next action, but the phone was already gone.
"Hook, line, and sinker." Magolor thought dryly as he watched Tabby give chase.
Well Magolor was no fool, taking advantage of his height to survey the area, finding another angle off attack. He couldn't find on yet though, on account of his eyes catching the sight Spamton downing a superpowered human.
Magolor took a second to consider his options, then sighed.

Spamton lowered his cannon over Zed, bloodlust evident in his maniacal laughing.
"THIS ONE WILL COST YOU [$4.99!]"

"That's lovely but-" Magolor responded, swooping over the Golden Trillion. Small spatial rifts opened right in the middle of Spamton's sickly green string, snapping them apart.
"My deals are way better!" the egg replied, grabbing Zed by the cape and hightailing out of the cannon's way.

Lucario
Right on the mark. Once again NiGHT was sent spiraling into the snow, this time landing less gracefully, but they weren't finished yet. It seems like they were starting to get serious.
There was a faint squeak as Lucario skidded to a stop on an ice pillar, a change in NiGHTS's aura warning him. NiGHTS, now in the shape of a rocket, erupted from below, preforming midair tricks before diving directly at the steel type!
Suddenly, the roles were reversed. Using extreme speed, Lucario whizzed across the pillars with NiGHTS quite literally hot on his tail. The aura pokemon went deeper, bouncing off the sides rather the tops before he rebounded off a pillar and behind a sizable one. Focusing the aura in his palms, Lucario palmed the ice structure, releasing a thin burst of aura that shattered it's base and sent the pillar toppling over NiGHTS'!
A loud cartoony BOOM! was accompanied by a burst of steam and smoke. The rocket's fireworks quickly fizzled out against the ice barrier, but the rocket still detonated with enough force to send Lucario flying. The pokemon bounced off the snowy floor a few times before coming to a sudden crash against a pillar, cracking it. Lucario stumbled forward, shook off the snow coating his body, and regained his bearings. He didn't expect for NiGHTS to have fire attacks, but the cold surroundings worked to his advantage. He wasn't out of the fight. Far from it.
Lucario looked around for NiGHTS' aura, not wanting to be caught by surprise again.

Jeice

"Honor? Honor?!" Jeice did his best to ignore the numbers rapidly increasing on his scouter as he clashed with Dart once again. The power level numbers didn't mean much here anyway. The energy blade dissipated on Dart's change into a new form. Being able to achieve a second form?! It was rare ability on top of rare ability with these fighters. But he had to keep his cool. Just because he could change forms didn't mean he was unstoppable! Zarbon could change forms, but even his more powerful form didn't stand a chance against anyone from the Ginyu Force. Well. Except Guldo.

"What's the point of honor, huh?! And what the hell are you talking about?!" Jeice called back to Dart. He didn't care. He was here to crush this guy, and win.

And then there was that cat. That damn cat, blabbing about everything. As the fought, Jeice suddenly turned and fired a ki blast at 808, attempting to destroy that pesky ally!

Nótt

Nótt nodded to Luxia, keeping an eye on the approaching wave of Spamtons.
"Charmed to make your acquaintance. I am Nótt, and this is Moon-Wing." Nótt said, firing another magic blast into the crowd of Spam clones. Moon-Wing screeched in acknowledgement, glancing to Luxia and Layla suspiciously before continuing to scan for other approaching threats. "You should be proud of little Layla, she's being very brave right now."

At that moment, Chai appeared on the rooftop next to Nótt.
"Ah, hello Chai. So many questions." Nótt said, firing another blast. "We fight, or we die. The other questions will have to wait until later."

Nótt pointed towards Spamton NEO.
"It seems like these small creatures are giving their leader space. They're herding us in, and as much as I loathe to play into an enemy's hands, defeating this Røkkr may be the best way to end this. And we certainly can't do that from here."

Suddenly, the well-dressed pink haired man was pinned down with strange green strings from the boss. But before Spamton NEO could follow up with a powerful laser attack, Magolor had swooped in and saved Zed at the last moment.
"The others are certainly looking like they could use our support." Nótt said to the others. She looked down to Layla. "What do you say? It's dangerous, but you will be with us, and I don't think there is any place here for you to hide away..."

ZedΩ
In the blink of an eye, he'd been restrained. Spamton reeled the prince in, smashing the young man into the ground quite painfully, even if the Djinn's song boosted all his aspects. Despite the impressive power his Septima provided, Zed found himself unable to break free of the green strings. Something about their composition just wasn't vulnerable to the Golden Trillion.

Thankfully, one of the former contestants had come to his rescue. A small blue egg managed to open rifts in the middle of each string, cutting them apart before pulling Zed away from under Spamton NEO with haste. The prince looked back at his rescuer, giving him a nod as his singular wing took form once more.

"Magolor, was it? I owe you my thanks."

As the two continued to distance themselves from the barrel of the cannon, Zed held a hand out in front of him, periodically spawning flocks of golden birds that would dive into Spamton, seeking to do any sort of damage to the cannon itself.

Layla & Luxia
Luxia only gave Chai a giggle at his reaction to suddenly appearing atop the restaurant. It wasn't much her doing as much as it was Nótt's, whose ability she could actually discern. The battle continued to rage on around them, and in response to Nótt's assessment, both the Djinn and her Adept nodded, looking towards the huge Spamton NEO - before the machine suddenly had Zed pinned to the ground, threatening to blast him with a cannon.

"Zed!"

"Mmm...!"

Thankfully, someone else managed to help him in the nick of time. The two let out a sigh of relief, despite Luxia's lack of a need to. Perhaps it was an aspect of being a Septima taken human form. The Jotun woman spoke once more, suggesting that they join the battle despite the high risk. Layla seemed to ponder it for a moment, before she walked up to Nótt, holding her arms out towards her.

"Mm."

"I trust her too," Luxia added onto Layla's gesture. "We better not waste any more time. I'll go on ahead, so I leave Layla in your hands. Hope my song leads your path, everyone~"

With that, Luxia vanished in a flash of violet light, leaving only Layla still reaching out for Nótt.

Rinku

Rinku's demonic Yo-yos missed their mark on Irnane, and so swept back to their master, ignoring all other objectives. Irnane, however, was intent on not letting them leave without an advantage on her part, lobbing her spell. Already in their way out, the spell impacted, but a glancing blow on two Yo-yos that had longer arcs than the others.

"Fun time we've been having, snuckums, but you are running out of-"

"SCRAAAA!"

Suddenly, skeleton. Unlike Irnane, their speed was not equalized. So Rinku, upon hearing the sound, vaulted over the skele-boy, his Yo-Yos returning in time to carve through the skeleton on the way back to him. That's when he found that two of his Yo-Yos were lagging behind the rest in the attack. In fact, just lagging in general. His Ki refused to pump into them as fast as before. And when he noticed their response times getting slower and slower to his commands-

"...!!!"

He disconnected them from him altogether, snatching them out of the air and storing them away. This left him with half of his toys he began with: 4.

What did she even do that time?? She's not making any sense. Hm! at least she looks visibly worn down. Getting somewhere with this chick.

Swinging his foot, his smashed down at the soft spot at the ground he hit before. Upon impact, he broke through debris, or rather, the ground they rested on. This caused a ripple effect around him as rocks, wood, and other material crashed into the void that was made. Where he was going, even Rinku didn't know. But it seemed that whatever he broke through went down...down below where they've been fighting so far.

The path down seemed layers with mossy bricks interlaced with stone like from a ruin. Where Rinku fell, he avoided the incoming rocks and swerved over to a concrete pathway. It seemed this underground area was inspired both by a sewer and a ruin of some sort, having pipes along the walls, a surprisingly clear river of water flowing down the center of the passageway leading to what appeared to be an elegantly crafted section which Rinku couldn't quite make out yet.

Rex Raptor

"...Right."

Plucking the key up, he took a look up and down at Neph. She really wasn't handling herself well. Seeing as there wasn't a way he could fix it, he set himself on the objective, doing a heel turn and marching towards the main room.

Can we even REALLY get hurt here anyway? Or is it just feeling like we are getting hurt? Tch, I always hated mind episodes on TV! When that creep wakes up I'm going to mess him up!

Quickly making his way towards the room, the dinosaur enthusiast approached the keyhole, looking left and right just in case there was something he wasn't seeing. Than without further hesitation, he thrust the key into the slot and went to turn it.

NiGHTS

BOOM!

In the fires of the cartoony explosion, NiGHTS was seen back to their jester form, cartwheeling in the air before re-establishing themselves. Putting a hand above their eyes, then scouted over at Lucario amidst the icy mist. He look like he actually took a hit? They thought he blocked it, but hey, they'd take it! He was quick on his feet and snappy with responses, but looked like unpredictability wasn't to be underestimated.

This gave them an idea. Drill driving into a nearby ice pillar, they cracked the structure, the pillar teetering over like a tree. As it was to fall, NiGHTS flew in a circle, the trail of sparkles behind them connecting, creating a paraloop. The loop yoinked the park of the ice structure that were to fall on NiGHTS, warping it to a spot of their choosing, right behind Lucario! After this, they would start heading directly towards the city.

Chai

"Greeeeat, no answers." Chai complained, though readying his guitar. "Welp, at least smashing and bashing is my bread and butter!"

Seeing as everyone was getting in on fighting these guys out of confusion, why not join 'em? Magnetizing parts of the roof that were missing due to the hole in it, the parts flew towards his guitar. While not enough to make a big bashing attack like before, they did manage to form a ball of scrap on the guitar. That's when he swung it up like a tennis ball before serving it like one, throwing it right into the spamton swarm.

Nótt

Luxia vanished in a flash. A Warp Staff? Nótt shook her head. She needed to stop applying the logic of her world to others here. The Princess picked up Layla once again. So her and the spirit knew the pink haired man. Zed. Nótt wanted to ask about him, but it was clear that Layla's lack of speech was more than just from fear. She'd just have to find out later, like everything else that was happening.
"Here we go again, dear. Hold on!" Nótt said. She looked back to Chai. "Now Chai, let's show these creature why our eliminations from the tournament were mere flukes!"

Nótt ran and jumped to the next roof. She fought through the masses of Spamton clones, taking wide and powerful slashes with her lance to clear a path. And when she was finally close enough to the open area, Nótt stuck her lance into the ground and used it to vault into the clearing around Spamton NEO.
"Dragon Fang!" Nótt called out. Energy crackled around her lance, and a powerful blast of energy in the shape of a dragon shot out towards Spamton NEO!

Dark Labyrinth

Rex made his way back into the main chamber, and turned the key in the skeleton door. There was a click, then a deep rumbling emanated from behind the door. There was the muffled sound of chains clinking, and stone against stone. Then the rumbling stopped. In the skull's right eye, a flame ignited. But the door did not open.

Tenderness continued to observe the skeleton. Then, there was movement. Someone new, a human, had entered into the chamber. The angelic creature watched Rex from afar as he put the key into the door. How strange. This human didn't feel like he had much love.
"Bri~." Tenderness chirped. It flew over to Rex, circling around the duelist and watching him curiously.

Taskmaster
The angel cut free in the nick of time, using his blade to freeze Taskmaster's attacks. He aimed the weapon at the assassin, and fired a jet of water just like he'd seen moments before. A huge blast of pressurized water screamed towards him, and the skull-masked mercenary was barely able to limbo beneath it. He still held his bow in one hand- the other went to his belt as he dodged. He procured another throwing crescent, which he flung to curve around the blast of water. Its approach was obscured by the mist kicked up by the blast, and the bladed projectile's trajectory was aimed to catch Pit in the neck.

Kraggggggggg
Kragg's punch missed, and violently shattered the top part of the pillar. He turned to see Kassandra twisting through the air, but what really caught his attention was the bubbling acid he sensed eating away at his rocky carapace. That section of armor quickly sloughed off, and the beetle picked up a handful of earth to replace it with. He glanced down at the corrosive, and then took a step to the edge of the pillar. He had the high ground over Kass now, an advantage he could definitely press. He stomped, which sent a wave of stony spikes across the ground as if he were on her level, and then began scooping up chunks of the pillar to throw down at her as boulders.

Tabby 8)
The blizzard of projectiles didn't seem to do much, which Tabby wasn't exactly surprised by. He was aided by a weird flying egg- reminding him of the battles he'd fought alongside the other City Slickers all that time ago. He gave Magalor a salute, and then dropped out of the sky. Jevil soared past him as he fell. The bastard was running away?! In his wake, the jester left a trail of bobbing animal constructs. He flung two kunai at the constructs. With a tug on both ropes, he launched himself after Jevil. Instead of hopping between the platforms like the darkner intended, he swung between them with several airdashes sprinkled throughout, like a Spider-Man out of hell. As his momentum only built, he closed in on Jevil even as the chaos enthusiast fled.

All it took was one more self-slingshot before he rocketed right for the jester. He conjured his rocket launcher in a flash, and blasted a missile at Jevil. He had it lined up so that if Jevil dodged, it would instead soar towards the massive Spamton NEO behind him! The tablet maintained his momentum as well as his grip on the rocket launcher's trigger. He charged it up as he soared over his jester foe, and he once it was fully charged- which unloaded a barrage of homing missiles all locked onto the darkner's position. Tabby continued to soar right for Spamton, as he'd noticed the other heroes struggling against the monstrous puppet. He took out Lemonkus's scythe, and aimed a slash right across the salesman's face!

"Creepy sounds and the door ain't opening. Awesome." Rex deadpanned. "What we supposed to do now??"

That's when another duel monster appeared, tenderness. A weak monster that didn't belong in the deck of anyone serious about playing the game. Not to mention it looked sickeningly innocent. In a dark evil place like this. Yup. This was a trap.

"Buzz off!" He shooed the creature with his hand, trying to wave it away.

JUST AN [Auto] SALESMAN

A series of portals appeared, snapping the strings. What remained slunk back into the robot's fingers as his head swiveled, following Magolor's rescue.

"YOU HAVEN'T E-eE-VEN TRIED [Member's Rewards Program] YET!"

His wings shuddered, before he started to move, clearly ready to pursue the egg. Zed's flaming attacks closed in, aimed for the still-charged cannon, the energy within beginning to pulse wildly as the salesman didn't disperse it, as he had before. What really stopped him, however, was another flaming dragon that crashed into him.

Smoke began to emit from NEO as Spamton turned his head to look at Nótt, watching as Chai leveled a small group of Spammers. His gaze turned quickly around 360 degrees, before he let out a short cackle. Everyone was perfectly gathered, just about. Only one real outlier in it all...

There was a zap of energy, and Spamton NEO disappeared, immediately reappearing directly in front of Magolor, close enough that the egg bounced off of the robotic chest- only for Spamton to blitz forward, his body slamming into Magolor. It didn't seem to be doing much, as the dealer let out a giggle at the salesman's attempts.

Spamton raised one hand, and snapped his fingers, before he raised his still-charged cannon at the egg's face.
"TRY USING [Portal2.exe] N-n_nOW!"

A massive ball of energy blasted forth, and despite Magolor's attempts to evade in his traditional methods, portals or teleportation... he suddenly found them unavailable. That finger snap Spamton had just done was not unlike those Master Hand would do, and the earlier green strings had already been seen with Crazy Hand. It would be difficult not to make some kind of conclusion about it all, almost like he had their power.

Leaving a trail of black smoke, Magolor was sent crashing into Regular Shop as Spamton cackled, his gaze spinning to land on Zed again.
"I [Always] ACCOUNTED FOR THERE TO BE [Last Minute Shoppers] [On Black Friday]"

With that, a field of energy appeared, forming a bubble initially around half of the entire plaza, before it began to rapidly shrink, ultimately to close around just the lobby itself. Any within the field (everyone, as planned) would be unable to bypass it, forced into the confined space of the lobby.

"GET READY FORr^r-rR MY [[Sweepstakes!]] EHHEHHAHAA!"

Warping back into the middle of the lobby, Spamton continued his mechanical laughter. For a moment, the fighting stopped as the Spammers backed off when the barrier appeared, and closed in to seal everyone within.
"M-mmASTE_R H-HAND CAN't [Wiggling] YOU OUT OF THIS. THIS-THIS-THIS HAS BEEN [[Plan]] FOR FAR T-TOO LONG."

"S-SO NOW WE CAN..."

Spamton's erratic movements stopped for a split second as static clouded his glasses, his smile appearing painted on for but a moment as an eerie voice echoed off of him:

"[[Phase One]]"

As soon as it was said, Spamton returned to his usual self with a laugh, before his Spammers rapidly closed in on the others again. Rising into the air, lasers began to emit from the various tips of Spamton NEO's wings, all cyan blue in color as they swept over to the various members of the resistance.

"DON'T MO-MOV_e, OR ELSE THIS [Won't] HURT!"

DART

A red blur, before Jeice's attack seemingly landed, the energy erupting, but as it cleared... Dart stood in its path, having taken the blow himself. His wings twitched in anticipation, before he narrowed his eyes. "YOU MONSTER. ATTACKING HER, WHEN SHE'S INNOCENT IN THIS. I AM YOUR OPPONENT. HONOR IS SOMETHING YOU'LL NEVER EARN."

He burst forward, upon Jeice almost instantaneously to lead with a flurry of blows with Mind Flay, the transfomed weapon's effects amplified under the spirit of the Red Dragoon as Dart this time didn't bother with the play of a fight, now aiming to kill. Every slash was backed by a powerful burst of flames, and after a second, a blast of wind swept over them as the air finally caught up with Dart's dash, the ground ripping up to form a trail toward him.

"THEY VOTED YOU BACK INTO THIS TOURNAMENT FOR THIS," Dart said through grit teeth as he began to rapidly move around Jeice, coming from every angle with his attacks. "FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT OF YOUR HUMILIATION. YOU'VE BEEN KILLED TWICE, JEICE. WE'RE ABOUT TO MAKE IT A THIRD! I KNOW YOUR TYPE! HOW MANY INNOCENT PEOPLE HAVE YOU KILLED?"

A tornado of flames is what manifested around Jeice as a side effect of Dart's movements, before he appeared high above the Red Magma, one hand raised, an orb of energy appearing at his fingertips, pulsing with searing power as his gaze burned down upon Jeice. "HOW MANY!?"

IRNANE

The demon repeated an earlier tactic he'd used- almost to the twitch of muscle movement. Irnane kicked off of a rock, launching it into the void and allowing her to leap to the other side of the gap her foe had made. He'd used that earlier, inside of the walls. Closing her eyes for a brief moment, she sensed her placed recall spell... it was still nearby. Not as close as she would have preferred to Rinku's new tomb, and buried under plenty of rubble- but close enough to work with the countermeasure she'd conjured up earlier.

Preparing another spell for later use, Irnane leapt into the hole feet-first. If he was down to re-using old tricks... there was potential he was out of anything new, meaning she'd have a better idea of what to expect moving forward.

NEPHTHYS

Only a single eye illuminated with fire, and the gardevoir could barely contain a scoff. Of course there would be a second key to attain. Her gaze moved toward the grinning skeleton and Marshtomp. <Did you find anything?>

"does that count?" Sans asked, pointing at Tenderness. Nephthys blinked, realizing she hadn't even noticed them there. Clearly a summon from Bakura, its energy was tied to beyond this door. What was his aim with this? It didn't seem to have hostile intent, but it very well could have passive effects hiding behind its innocent demeanor. Neph came to a similar conclusion as Rex.

She wasn't a fan of her uncertainty.

<What rooms did you search?>

"uh, just that one," Sans gestured with a thumb over his back. "we haven't gone to the big metal one or the hidden one."

Hidden one? Sans glanced over toward the blank wall as he said this, and Neph followed his gaze. Of course there was a hidden door. <Skeleton, you're paired with Rex now. I will take Marshtomp to inspect the hidden room. Should you two feel confident enough, see what's behind the metal door.>

KASSANDRA

Well, that was disappointing. Kragg merely replaced the damaged armor. She'd need to cut deeper, then. Hit the unguarded parts of him. His armor was replaceable, and as evidenced around them, in unlimited supply. Unsurprisingly, he was able to launch more spikes at her with a stomp, proving his range was expansive as the dirt itself. Kassandra replaced Arachne's Stinger with the Hammer of Hades, swinging it overhead and bringing it down, shattering the spike that would have otherwise struck her as it came up.

Then Kragg began hurling boulders, taking chunks off of his pillar as he did so. He seemed to be playing the range game now, as Kass had earlier. The misthios shook her head with a slight smirk. He'd just have to be disappointed, as she heavily swung the hammer into each boulder that came her way, the explosive force of the weapon shattering each rock that came for her, restoring her adrenaline more and more, filling up to two whole charges.

Rinku

The air was damp and cold, fitting of the atmosphere around them. It was dimly lit, hard to make out object from further away. The structure seemed pretty sturdy, despite the run down look of the place. But alongside the river of fluid, Yo-yos shot through, burning water enough to make a fine steamy mist. The hot water plumed and clouded around sight. An effective smoke screen.

"Hanging on for a while there. The hand was right, these battles are waaaay more interesting than where I come from."

Rinku's voice echoed throughout the underground, his location hard to discern.

"But you ain't so strong anymore without your eyes, are you? I've seen ya, you are one of those types that have a keen eye for detail. As far as you know, I could be anywhere."

That's when a whispered voice would come from inches behind Irnane, right at her ear.

"Even right behind you."

Rinku would seemed to attack, ready to chop her throat. However, this surprise attack was a diversion. It was in fact a clone of Rinku's while the real Rinku was floating closer to the ceiling on the other end, throwing two Yo-ups into the mist to quickly wind and impale her center most region, the easiest to hit.

Not only were Irnane's eyes limited, but due to her audio senses were also being toyed with, he'd be effectively removing her ability to judge where he was entirely...making this real surprise attack all the more devastating.

808/Peppermint

Has Jeice turned to fire at 808, Peppermint suddenly realized something. 808 classified as a tool. A tool that Master Hand knew was temporary for the shop...meaning he had no incentive to reconstitute a loser's temporary item. This made her stand up at her monitor, gripping it with both hands as they were probably witnessing the final moments of their feline friend.

"808!!" She yelled.

808 whimpered as the Red Magma fired upon them. That's when Dart flew in the way, taking the attack for her. Peppermint, still with tense nerves looked carefully on her monitor, witnessing Dart go absolutely berserk, besieging Jeice with an avalanche of blows! In that moment, Peppermint got a determined expression of her face as they nodded.

"For you to go of your way to protect her...hm! In that case, I can't allow you to lose!"

Quickly pulling up their chair, they furiously typed on their keyboard, 808 leaping across the terrain to get to a higher position as they got closer to the battle.

Audrey Redheart
As her blow knocked Kirin away, the Hero smirked, raising it again as more lightning began to pour into the blade.
"Staying your distance huh?" Audrey seemed slightly smug in her statement, lowering her blade to bat aside the talismans that came for her, letting lightning crackle throughout her weapon.

"Then let's see how far we go!" Audrey yelled as she began to dash forward, bashing aside the talismans still going for her. With a quick burst of speed, she went to Kirin's left, attempting to slash at her gut with the lightning infused blade - Before attempting to get behind for a burst of lightning straight into the Priestess.

The Warlock
Warlock let another harsh snarl return to his face as Dagr's abilities kept her on top of his attacks - Again. And then, after that light show, she had the audacity to spout heretical nonsense!

"Silence! I will have you eradicated for your foolishness." He responded with a threat, moving to dart back from the ax swings...Only to feel energy beams enter his chest. No pain, but it slowed him enough for the swings to strike.

"Fine - Let's call this, Phase 2, hm?" Teleporting to the middle of the stage again, the air above him cracked like an illusion once more as he drew energy around himself. The Mindripper used this psionic energy to burrow pillars into the ground and platforms, before it placed him in a protective shielding. "Death to a heretic!" Was the last thing Warlock called out, before he stopped moving. Instead, 8 Spectres appeared from each spot, wielding sticks crackling with energy and phantom-guns - Not that the latter would be immeadiately clear to Dagr, most likely. 4, including one who appeared next to Dagr, tried to attack her right away with their psychic sticks while the others shot at her with those strange projectiles, intending to stun her with any attacks. And only one seemed to be missing with that gun by a large distance, rather impressive for ADVENT-Sided creatures or anyone using those sorts of guns in the old world.

Masaru Takahara
"You are? Grea-" Before Masaru could even take in anything, he was forced to attempt to block Spamton's new attack. Of course, the size difference didn't help, but it did mean he just landed on the ground, a weakened stance before-
CRASH!
Masaru was bashed into the ground, and slammed with bursts of electricity. Painful, for sure, but he was surviving it. Granted, he would prefer if less came in...

Thankfully, he got some assistance right in that moment, from Zed of all people, suddenly pulling the martial artist away in a red barrier and into the fair.
"Fate has some incredible things in mind, does it not?"

Masaru almost responded, but didn't the chance before Zed was suddenly choked and pulled back, Takahara only able to put out a pitiful hand to help before swiftly falling to the ground, rolling to his feet.
"Shoot...Gotta..."
Focus!
After a moment of charging up, Masaru felt his pains subside slightly and his energy renew with a boost of strength and defense, and of accuracy.

But once he was done, it was clear more was happening. A bubble of energy had overtaken the area, and Masaru felt some of the worse memories of those games in his mind.

"[[Phase One]]"

Good grief, that was such a strange voice quirk to Masaru, being the rather tech illiterate man he was, but he had no time to think on that further as cyan blue beams began shooting out of Spamton's wings. At least it wasn't the most horrific area attack Masaru had ever seen, but it did seem to hone in right on each person fighting against Spamton and his horde.

The puppet also said something right after, but Masaru already had a plan in mind and chose not to listen. He spotted a mini-spamton nearby, and quickly dashed right to it.
Mano Toss!
He threw the Mini-Spamton straight into the cyan beam's path!

It did not stop the beam, but the enemy didn't seem to take it very well. In his worry, Masaru braced himself and raised his guard..
And felt it go through him with no pain.
"What the...?" It took him a second, but he quickly figured it out. "Not moving, huh? I'll have to keep that in mind!" Looking up towards Spamton now, Masaru felt he had to act now at this moment. He lept into the air again...

Worldbreaker's Wrath!

He slammed his fist straight into the ground, cratering the area once more as boulders and rocks were sent flying up to try and crush Spamton from above! Unlike last time, this was used for offense, and it seemed that Health boost from Eitri's last second blessing also empowered this move.
