Open Crisis in the Pokemon World

This is a more serious Pokemon plot that can be done with any number of participants. Depending on the responses and availability of everyone, we could make this a group RP or One-on-One based thing. Ability and willingness to discuss plot specifics is absolutely necessary.

Note: anything in parentheses will be determined by participants.
You character is leading their life in any region of your choosing, until a scary announcement is made and changes everything they know. A power-hungry organization (TBD) has taken control of (city/region), and plan to capture and exploit the Pokémon that live there. In a panic, notices are put all over the regions of the Pokémon world in an attempt to recruit young trainers willing to risk everything and travel to (city/region) and fight back anyway they can. On the journey, our trainers all work together, push their own limits, and start to learn what's really important.

Rory is a strategic and ambitious person, always shooting for the best he can be, always helping others join him at the top or push them even further. Since he was born in sinnoh, he developed a great bond with his pokemon in his travels. One day, he got the chance to succeed one of the previous elite four members, and he took it, trained for weeks, getting ready for his first day. He would go to the (city/region) for the sake of being able to stop them. What would make him happy is the thrill of battle and the casual relaxation of his down time, but to counter react that, he would get upset if anyone close to him got hurt for no reason, or standing around doing nothing while others battle to keep their pokemon. For Rory to admire a person or pokemon, he would look into their potential as a trainer, and how determined they are to accomplish their goals.

What's their personality like?
Quintessa is extroverted, thoughtful, and blunt. She is incredibly proficient in things she's passionate about (the arts and activism), and is always capable of stealing the show. She's never been one for passive aggression or hidden meanings: she's as up-front and straight forward as they come. In addition to that, she has a very rare, open nature, that tends to make almost anyone feel very comfortable with her quickly.

A brief summary of their life?
Quintessa is the child of talented performers in Saffron City. Her mother was a soprano and actress, singing with her Jigglypuff; and her father was a dancer and part-time actor, who both agreed to adopt Quintessa as to not loose parts and opportunities for her mother. Her parents ending up being more mentors than motherly or fatherly figures, seeing as there was only 17-year age difference between them. She was raised learning and acting show-to-show through the city. At age four, Quintessa found her best friend and companion, Mime Jr. He stayed with her, and even travelled through almost every region of the world performer with her. She has led a family unique (but by no means easy) life, and has missed out on many "normal" experiences.

Why are they traveling to (City/Region)?
Honestly, she has no idea. Upon seeing footage of what was happening, she knew that she just needed to drop everything and go, despite knowing that she would be apart from her calling. She researched the region and left only two days later.

What makes them happy?
Her best friend Mime Jr, her family, theatre, getting to know people.
What makes them sad?
Seeing others' pain.
What traits do they admire in other people/Pokémon?
She mostly admires thoughtfulness, talent, and honesty in people, and the ability to sympathize with trainers in Pokemon.

What's their personality like?
Kali is outgoing and curios, always wanting to meet new people or try new things. She gets bored by doing the same thing for an extended period of time and will want to move on and do something else and become interested in that.
A brief summary of their life
Kali was born in Goldenrod City, Johto and was very entertained there by all the stuff you can do. She especially loved that she was a magnet train ride away from a whole other region, and would go there every now and then to shop and have fun.
When she was ten, she started going around to gyms like any other kid, but discovered after beating Bugsy, the second Johto leader, that she didn't really like winning gym badges. Bugsy still insisted she take the badges he and Falkner gave her, so she did; but she started training her Pokemon for Pokeathons instead.
Why are they travelling to ___?
To learn more talents (I e rollerskating) with her Pokemon, using that as a talent they can use to get more points in contests or making them more athletic for Pokeathons.

Personality: Quiet but can be loud sometimes and doesn't mind talking to others. Tries to to do things himself. Likes to stay in the shadows. Can be a bit full of himself sometimes.
Life Summary: Has been on his journey since 10. He never talked to many people unless he had to, so he was alone on his journey. Has traveled through out all the regions in six years, collecting all the badges and is training now to beat the Kalos champion (He thinks it's the easiest out of all of them.)
Why He's Going To The (region): Wants to test his Pokemon's strength and for people to finally recognize his strength. Believes that he has the power to stop the evil team.
Happy: When he's able to do something that no one else can by himself.
Sad: He considers his Pokemon as his main friends and when they can't succeed or lose, it makes him feel bad for his Pokemon.
Admires: He really admires Pokemon, the way most of them are willing to be his friends and how some of them love battle. Doesn't really admire anything in humans since he never really knew that many people. He only admires the gym leaders and league for being there to give purpose for other trainers.

History with Pokemon:
He has been around Pokemon ever since he was born. Befriended many Pokemon in his town. The Pokemon were more friendly to him than the kids in his town so he would always play around with the Pokemon instead. Managed to calm a group family of Spearow when the mother Fearow lost the an egg. He was able to retrieve it and befriended the family.
Bonds: He has bonds with many of his Pokemon and probably remembers the story of how he caught each of his Pokemon. He always tries to have his Pokemon interact with each other which also makes for good teamwork.
