Private/Closed Exploration of the Froena Region

Spade looked at the others before walking closer towards the noise, her pokémon right next to her. Poking her head in some bushes she saw a small stream leading somewhere unknown, being her she followed it to find a small pond with a couple of pokémon surrounding it.

She turned her head once more when she heard a small cry, her eyes widened when she saw a small candle pokémon being surrounded by a few Marill. Spade walked over to the group before the Marill turned to see the human standing in front of them, at her sight they all fled hiding in the bushes around them.

Spade watched as they fled before turning to the Litwick "Hey there, I'm Spade these are my partners Tailgate and Quill" she said pointing to them as she called their names. "Are you okay?" her voice was soft as she spoke to the injured pokémon, her eyes softened as the small candle pokémon nodded in response.

The small pokémon jumped as a poliwag leaped out of the bushes yelling at the fire/ghost type. Spade huffed as she saw more water types surround them "Tailgate Ice-Shard". The ice/dark type nodded before blowing in the air in front of her, creating small shards of ice, her claw like hands flicked towards the water types sending the shards in front of them but not close enough to hit them. This scattered the water types as they ran, trying to get away from this weird human.

The Litwick smiled "Litwick!" it called before leaping on Spades foot. She chuckled at this before she spoke once more "Wanna become my partner to?". With a quick response of the pokémon leaping up and down Spade pulled out an empty pokéball before tapping and catching the Litwick.

Spade smiled lightly at the newly filled pokéball she placed on her belt before turning her head as she heard someone yell out "Yeah! I caught a Dewpider!" followed by the sound of a pokémon. Tailgate and Quill also seemed to notice this before the three of them raced towards the noise before noticing Azure, "Azure! Don't scream so loud I could hear you from at least 15 yards away!".

"Oh haha, I didn't know I was that loud... Maybe a bit too enthusiastic. So Spade, what are you here for? I came here to train Lumina, or maybe my whole party. So, as you have already heard, I caught a Dewpider. Come on out, Scribble!" He sent out his newly caught Dewpider, who seemed a bit tired. He then saw the amount of pokeballs Spade had. "Hey... What's that new pokemon I see there? You caught a new one too?"

Spade nodded lightly "Yea, poor fellow was attack by some water types" she spoke as she grabbed the new pokéball on her belt "Vanish come on out!". A white light flooded out of the pokéball before reveling a small Litwick "Litwick!". Tailgate and Quill quickly walked/flew next to the pokémon.

Spade smiled lightly before speaking once more "I named him Vanish". The candle pokémon looked up before leaping as if asking to be held, making Spade roll her eyes before picking him up.

Finna glared at Asriel before stalking off in the direction Spade had gone. She didn't like this kid so far; he seemed perceptive, another dangerous trait. And since Spade had asked the same question, she figured she'd seek out the girl and end this line of questioning right away.

Concerned by her reaction, Asriel followed. Storm was walking beside him, Sleipnir still talking her ear off, as she made sure to keep Finna in her sights. Asriel knew that his question was probably too harsh depending on why they did keep her but after the Darla incident, he wasn't taking chances!

After tracking down Spade and a boy she hadn't been introduced to yet- again, why was everyone in this group so loud in uncharted territory?- she lifted up her torn, dirty sweater to just under her chest. Her stomach and back were littered with scars. None were as prominent as the one covering her eye, but they were all clearly visible. Slashes and burns made up the majority of them.

"They have a very sick puppy in their ranks named Angel. He's an exceptionally talented trainer, one of the few they have stronger than Darla. They kept me alive so he could satisfy his...urges without killing any of their own. He was ordered not to kill me because he'd be losing the only toy he'd get," she spat out.

Spade turned as the female spoke, her eyes widened as she saw the mark "Why would anyone do that" she questioned. She shook her head before sighing "Never mind, no need to answer that" the female placed down Vanish before returning all of her pokémon to their pokéballs. Spade pondered for a moment before speaking "I know this isn't the best group but how would you like to join us" her voice trailed before speaking again "You don't have to! I'm just saying since its better for people to stick together then rather be on their own, but yet again most people in our little 'group' don't like each other all the much..".

"Oh really?" Finna replied as she lowered her tattered sweater, her voice once again holding that smooth indifference. She rolled her eyes and said in a matter of fact tone, "We'll, I guess it would be smart to do so. And morally right. After all, Angel will be looking for a new toy. I know this island fairly well and if I can stop that from happening, I suppose I should." She gave the slightest of smiles as she said this, though her eyes remained emotionless.

Asriel, though sad for what she went through, kept his distance. He couldn't shake the feeling that something was off here. 'I'll just have to talk to the others when she's not around,' he noted silently.

...Noivern.

"Charmander, be careful!" Kaleb called out before locking eyes with Noivern. Noivern flew away, not wanting to be caught, but also not wanting to hurt one of Halt's friends.

"Jeez, buddy, you scared us," he said to Charmander. "Now how do we get back to base camp?"

He looked at the map he drew. It was pretty far away, so he would have to just meet up with the others later.

"Aron, why do you keep popping out of your ball like that?" he questioned Aron. Aron was confused.

"Aron?" he blankly asked.

"Never mind," Kaleb muttered. He looked up, and he saw the base in the mountains, but he had packed his stuff, so he didn't need to go back. He could just make a new base here. It was a secluded area, so not that many people could find him if they were searching for him.

Halt was looking around the mountainous area, searching for clues on who they were. Lucario was watching the rear, and Heracross the side. "We're not alone anymore Lucario." Halt called back, in reference to the other people on the island. As he was looking, he found a small crater, or an indentation in the ground. "What's that?" Halt walked over to the small hole, and found an oncovered fossil. "Hey, Heracross, think you could cut this out?" Heracross used night slash to break the fossil free. Halt reached down at the now freed fossil, and looked it over. It was covered to far to see what it is. He pulled out his PPE, and contacted professor Rowan. "Put me on Roark."

Asher looked up at his fellow-trainers before shrugging after everyone had arrived he fell silent- dark gaze darted from one person to another yet he didn't say a word. Monferno's blazing tail swished around as the pokemon walked and talked with Geodude while Swirlix clumsily fell beside Asher and grinned before picking himself up and floating around his trainer. He didn't really pay much attention anymore- he knew the girl wouldn't say anything important with that many strangers questioning her. He would have to get her alone... later. He released a hardly noticeable sigh before looking up at the sky- he would of thought that one stupid invitation would lead him to the most dangerous experiences of his life? After catching his trainer's long expression, Monferno blinked his blue gaze before tilting his head only to receive a sigh- "We'll protect each other." he nodded quietly- unlike Finna who only had one pokemon he had three, and a bunch of trainers who, despite how much they didn't get along, were willing to protect each other.

Luke was wandering around. He had finished his King's task and was now hunting for rare finds, powerful pokemon, anything that would make a worthwhile offering to make up for his past grievance. Instead he found a boy. The young man seemed to he looking for something rare of his own while conversing with his pokemon. Luke smirked; this was much too easy.

Silently releasing his Alakazam, Luke crept forward as quietly as his hulking 6'2 form would go. "What do we have here?" he said with a slight chuckle when he was barely five feet away. With his massive height, square shoulders, and rippling muscles, Luke was built like a wall. His hair, cut short but just a tad too long to be a buzz cut, was dark brown with grey roots. His eyes were a light brown yet cold and cruel.

~~~~~
Heading back to camp, Finna took her seat next to Asher. " Your friends are something," she told him. Her voice didn't reveal if she found to be good or bad. Asriel kept an eye on her as he contacted Qin for a status update.
Kaleb searched for more Pokémon. He encountered a Scyther, a Fearow, a Graveler, and a Golduck, but they all got away.
"Jeez, these are hard to catch," he said. He needed to find the others. He was very lost and hadn't seen any of them since he left the base camp.
"Pikachu, try to locate Asher, if you run into any trouble, fire a Thundershock into the air."
"Pika!" the Electric mouse replied, and it ran off.
"Stay safe, buddy," he said. Aron questioned this, obviously not paying attention, and Kaleb sighed and rolled his eyes.
"Aron, can you try to be a little more aware?" he asked.
"Aron!" his oblivious little Steel type replied, agreeing to his trainer's terms.
Asher raised his brows at Finna before shrugging, "Yeah I guess." he muttered, he sat in a relaxed state although he was surprised at the girls decision to sit near him. As he stroked Monferno who sat between his legs, his golden gaze narrowed and without looking at the female he asked in a steady voice, "Do you think that... there's even the slightest possibility we can defeat the Auralian Order.". With a sigh he turned to make eye contact with Finna, "I don't want to have to hide. We were sent here to explore, but now the priority has changed- I don't know what these people are trying to succeed. But they hurt you, and anyone who thinks that doing that to another person is okay- they need to be brought down." he trailed off at the last part.
Finna could only stare at Asher in shock for several seconds. Her jaw even hung open. It was that bit about her being hurt. When was the last time she had heard something like that? For so long all she heard was how she had brought this on herself; those words piercing her mind with each new blow.
She shuddered at the memories before correcting her composure. "I'm not sure. Their King only selects the best to keep by his side. Even if we get past them, they have so many foot soldiers, guards. Our best bet is to get a ride out of here. I can...tell you what I know about the power structure. What we're up against. If you want?" She offered.
Asher bit his lip in thought he checked over his shoulder to make sure they were alone. Geodude was already asleep and Swirlix had perched himself atop the rock-type like a clueless bird. Nodding slowly, Asher clapped his hands together and rested them on his lap, "Please, tell me everything." he said lowly. He didn't care what the others wanted, it was sickening how these people worked- and even if they did run how would be be able to live with himself knowing that every other person on that island would fall into the same trap as him and his friends.
Kaleb was still searching for more Pokémon. He eventually found some more, the first of them being a Turtwig.
"Charmander, use Ember!" Kaleb commanded the little fire type, and Turtwig was hit and took a lot of damage. "Ok, time for the catch!" Kaleb threw the pokeball. It shook once, twice, and three times, and with that, Kaleb had caught Turtwig.
Next, he found a Nincada. He used Charmander again, and it was defeated and caught with another Ember.
"So, who do I send to the PC to put Nincada in my team?" he asked himself. He couldn't send Pikachu, since he was away. Aron wouldn't stay in his Ball long enough to be transported. He wasn't going to separate himself from Pancham, and Charmander was too much of a battler, so it was between Turtwig and Pidgeotto.
"Alright, Pidgeotto, you're going to take a little break from being on the team and go to the PC for a while, okay? I will keep you in the rotation."
"Pidgeotto..." she replied. She went in her Ball, and was sent to the PC. A few seconds later, a wild Skorupi approached him, and he sent out Turtwig for his first battle.
"Well, I only know bits and pieces. I was kept in a cell and all I learned was from guards who talked during their rounds. Not much but you can still piece together a lot after four years. The Auralian Order is basically the result of what Team Rocket or Team Plasma were more ruthless and subtle.
"They're ruled by their king. They all call him Sire or My King; I never got a name. I never got his history or anything. The guards weren't close enough to know... But they talked plenty about his admins. He has two third in command's: Luke and Darla. Luke worships the King and will do anything asked," Finna paused, considering how to describe Darla.
"Darla...she cares. She loves the King and his fourth in command, Angel. But she's cruel. She's not afraid to hit someone or draw blood for simple transgressions."
"And then there's Angel. He's a special kind of sick. He's not crazy. He's logical, strong, and very intelligent. Even though he's ranked under her, he could win against Darla any day of the week... He is demented; he'll torture and maim and..." she had to stop herself, the memories starting to flood back. The only external signs she showed was a slight bite and quiver of her lower lip and shutting her eyes until her hardened expression had returned.
"What do we have here? A kid whos to big for his britches." Halt said, turning to the sound. "Who do I have the honor of talking with?" He asked, as lucario stepped to his side. Lucario was ready to kick some psychic type butt.
"If he's the king, who are you? The jungler?" Halt asked, humor evident in his voice. He wanted to toy with the lacky, maybe get on his bad side. Seems like something fun to do. "Well, as the aliens always say, take me to your leader."
"I am his third in command, Luke Sacerdos. Recall you pokemon and I shall take you to him," Luke replied, the rumble in his voice deepening at the foolish child's arrogance. What could the King see in him?
"Alright, Turtwig, Razor Leaf!" The turtle glowed green, then flung two leaves at the wild Skorupi. It hit, but Skorupi took little damage and countered with Poison Fang, dealing a lot of damage.
"Synthesis!" Turtwig glowed again, and healed itself. He dodged a Pin Missile, and landed a Tackle, and then followed up with another Razor Leaf. It was hit by another Pin Missile, and it looked like Turtwig was out of commission.
"Turtwig, no!" Kaleb cried out, but Turtwig got up, and learned Crunch. He utilized the new move by dodging a Pin Missile, and using Crunch on Skorupi from behind. Skorupi fell to the ground, and Kaleb threw the ball, catching Skorupi.
He sent Nincada to the PC temporarily, and after a few seconds, he saw a blast of electricity in the air, and he knew it was Pikachu.
He ran to where he saw the electricity, his Pokémon following close behind, and they found Pikachu, and in front of him, Halt, with another trainer, who had an Alakazam and was very tall.
Kaleb didn't engage, he simply hid and watched the scene from behind a tree, and his Pokémon followed his instructions and went in their pokeballs, all but Aron and Pancham, and they watched Halt and the strange trainer converse. But when he told Halt to recall his Pokémon and follow him, he couldn't bare to think what bad things were about to happen.
"Halt!" he said suddenly, alarming Pancham and Aron. "Don't do it!"
Pancham and Aron still hid. Kaleb returned them both, and stood face-to-face with the new trainer, whose name was apparently Luke. Man, that name did not suit him. He seemed like more of a Jason. Wait, why was he thinking about this right now? Halt was about to be taken by a possible Auralian! He had to stop this from happening!
"Halt, he could be like Darla. Don't go with him, we almost died then, we could die now. Don't fall for their tricks!"
"What would I gain from returning my pokemon? I refuse to do so. And I wish you a good time explaining yourself to your king, about what you did to his honored guest." Halt replied, challenge in his voice.
Kaleb was happy that Halt was resisting, but still cautious, for Luke could easily beat both of them in battle. The only chance they had against Alakazam were Heracross and Nincada, but Nincada was in the PC. Skorupi would easily lose, and Charmander, strong as it was, didn't even stand a chance until he evolved at least once. Aron was too oblivious to even know he was battling, Lucario is weak to Psychic types, Spheal didn't like battling, Pancham was weak to Psychic types, Pidgeotto was in the PC, and Pikachu didn't know many good moves yet.
Luke glared at the new kid. He was loud and rash. The King may want all of them but Luke figured he'd leave this one behind. He could grow some more before being recruited.
Still, there was no way he was going to get away with being so foolish! Releasing two more of his pokemon, Luke revealed a Blaziken and an Abamasnow. Letting them keep an eye on the other boy, Luke turned back to Halt. "I did not threaten or touch you. Merely made a request. Are all you pokemon near you? The quickest way to the King is by teleportation," he explained, motioning to his Alakazam.
"If you're gonna take him, then you're gonna have to take me too!" Kaleb foolishly shouted at Luke. He wasn't afraid of him, which turned out to be one of the biggest mistakes ever. "Battle me!"
He released Pikachu from the pokeball. There was no way they were going down without a fight.
"I know I'm going to lose, but that doesn't matter! I battle for the fun an the experience, and for honor! Hit me with your best shot!" It wasn't like Kaleb to make a speech like this. But he didn't want to lose and be taken by force.
"I would rather the long way, and know where we are going." Lucario made one step away from Halt to emphasis the point. "I hope you understand, but your king would probably wish for you to ahead to my wishes. The fast way isn't always the best way
"Halt, don't listen to him, I know somebody who was held prisoner by them! She hated it there! They tortured her!" Kaleb blurted out. That was a mistake. He shouldn't have let them know he knew Finna. He immediately regretted saying that, but he hid it well.
"Luke, battle me. If I win, then you go back to your king without us. If I lose, you take us to him!" Pikachu was ready. He had mastered two new moves while away from Kaleb, Thunderbolt and Discharge.
Halt looked over at Lucario, and nodded slowly, almost unnoticeable.Lucario turned, starting a small aura blast. Raising his arm to Kaleb, the pokemon fired the attack, with enough force to knock a torus out. This was all to gain their trust. They might have a valid reason to fight, and Halt could easily get out if he wanted to.
Luke looked bored beyond words at Kaleb's speech. Alakazam and Abamasnow had similar expressions but Blaziken, already fed up, dashed forward. The tall fire pokemon kicked Pikachu in the stomach, launching the mouse into the air. Before the electric type could hit the ground, Blaziken kicked it again, sending it into a tree.
"Good boy," Luke told his pokemon with a slightly amused chuckle. Turning back to the boy, Luke focused on the second half of his speech. "So you know where the girl is? I may just need to keep an eye on you after all." This was mainly just to scare the kid; he couldn't care less if they found the girl.
Becoming serious once again, he rumbled out, "Don't bother, kid. I heard the issues you had with Darla. She's never battled me before; she knows she wouldn't wi-" he was cut off by the Lucario's aura sphere.
"Very well. The long way it is then," Luke said. It could have been a show but even so, Halt showed promise. Independence, cunning, a potential for ruthlessness...very promising. "I will let Sire know of this development. Stick with the girl he spoke of. She knows where to find the King. Even for those who want not to see him, it's the fastest way off the island."
"What if I don't want the girl, or off the island. Im not with them. You take me now, or you come back and try to find me. And understand that it's not an easy task." Halt said. He had dealt with people like him before. Using words over actions. "Your choice. Either lead the way, or teleport away. But never try following me."
Kaleb suddenly got up, and for the first time, threatened somebody bigger than him.
"My friends and I will defeat you. We are stronger than you think! And we will get stronger, and eventually, we will come for you, and we will defeat you!"
Pikachu nodded at this speech. Aron popped out and nodded too. Pancham, Charmander, Turtwig, and Skorupi all popped out and nodded.
"Oh just shut up. I could step on you and you would still keep talking. Now get away from here. We don want your speeches." Halt turned to him, with a look of pure hate. "Now, if you know what's good for you, go away."
Kaleb felt honestly betrayed by Halt. He didn't know whether or not this was an act. He returned all his Pokémon and walked away.
As soon as Halt and Luke were out of earshot, he immediately told the others via transmitter.
"Halt betrayed us. He is going with the Auralians to meet their 'king.' We can't let them take us."
He started to look for more Pokémon. He needed to get stronger to prove himself. He felt hurt by what Halt said to him.
After a while, he found a Bagon. He used Charmander to battle it.
"Ember!" he yelled. Charmander managed to land Ember, and then follow up with two Scratches. Bagon missed a Dragon Breath, and Charmander used Dragon Rage, a new move, to finish it.
"Now's my chance!" Kaleb threw the ball. It shook once. Twice. Three times. He caught Bagon. Charmander was soon engulfed in a white glow.
"Evolution!" Kaleb cried, as his Charmander evolved into Charmeleon in front of his eyes. "Great job, Charmeleon!"
After a while, he let his Pokémon train to help them level up, and maybe even learn new moves and evolve. He pitted Pikachu against Charmeleon, Aron against Turtwig, and Skorupi against Pancham. He watched them train vigorously. Pancham and Turtwig both learned new moves, and Aron even showed signs that meant it was evolving soon.
"Alright, guys, that was great," he told his Pokémon. "We need to find the others and train, so we can follow them and defeat their king, and maybe even bring Halt back to our side. I can't wait to show those two my strength once we get stronger."
Qin frowned slightly, Asriel's poorly timed message had just interrupted Twilla's grooming. The floating cotton ball lay contently in Qin's lap as he slowly raked through her fluff with his fingers, making every effort to remove any tangle. She deserved a little affection after that battle with the Poliwags. Unfortunately, Qin was forced to stop and respond to Asriel. He gave an 'all-clear', briefly commenting on the variety of Pokemon present at the lake and expressing his desire to acquire a Sunstone, hoping that maybe someone in the group would be lucky enough to find one. He'd also need to acquire a razor fang for Rose, though that would be a quick call to Professor Elm, and a day's wait for Pidgeot.
Nevertheless, those were thoughts for another time; both Rose and Twilla could use a bit more training before evolving, as they say, 'haste makes waste'. Without further thought on the matter, Qin returned to his original task and continued grooming Twilla. It wouldn't be long before Rose returned, and after which they'd leave to capture Ruanshui, the Mienfoo. She would surely be an interesting addition to the team.
Spade looked at the sky, the clouds all drifting towards the setting sun. Making up her mind spade followed the clouds for awhile until she saw a lake. Her eyes narrowed as she saw the figure of another human but sighed in relief as it was only Qin.
"What are you doing up here?" she questioned walking up to him, until she turned facing the lake. Tailgate and Quill right behind her as she approached the lakes edge "Its a beautiful lake, simmering with the sky's colors". the water rippled as you could see plenty of water types swimming in the colored lake.
"Would you believe if I said, 'enjoying the scenery'?"
Qin smiled lightly and scooted over to the side, make space for Spade if she so desired to sit.
"I figured this would be one of the best places to catch Pokemon since they'd all have to come take a drink sooner or later, so I've been here, waiting for something to catch my interest. Right now Rose, my Gligar, is tracking a group of Mienfoo, led by a pair of Mienshao, and I think I'd like to catch one of those Mienfoo. It's a particularly haughty fellow, but I don't mind a bit of personality."
A smirk hung on his lips as he recalled the almost disdainful way in which the Mienfoo regarded it's defeated opponents. Wiping the smirk off his face Qin continued with a rather grave tone.
"Since we're already escaped Darla, the enemy wouldn't be foolish enough to send someone weaker than her. So before we get into another battle that could very well be our last, I'd like to have at least 4 Pokemon on my team. Although quality will take some time to develop, quantity isn't bad either."
Mere moments afterwards a few queer hisses punctuated Rose's otherwise silent flight as she returned from her task. She circled over the duo twice before gliding back into the forest; even more impatient than Qin to capture their soon-to-be companion. After returning Twilla to her Pokeball and dusting off a few blades of grass decorating his pants he turned to Spade,
"I don't think I need to preach to you about developing your team, and since you were able to hold your own against Darla I'm sure you're a fantastic battler. Though, there's never such a thing as too prepared."
Another series of shrieks and hisses made Qin acutely aware that Rose had waited long enough.Giving Spade a playful jab to the arm her turned around and started jogging off. Suddenly remembering something he turned to Spade once more,
"If you find a Sunstone anywhere I'm prepared to buy/trade you for it, and we should definitely battle later~"
Spade chuckled before she nodded "Then find me a Duskstone and we will be even!". Quill chirped as she flew over the pond, her talon ridding the water as she flew right next to it. Tailgate sneezed, the water in front of her frozen over making Spade laugh.
A head popped up out of the water making her head turn, the blue pokémon bark at her before diving back into the depths of the pond. Spade smiled as she looked at Tailgate, her pokémon seeming to know what she was thinking watched the popplio from the banks of the shore.
Soon enough the popplio crawled onto the land, making Spade smirk "Tailgate surround the popplio with Ice Shard, Quill use Quick attack!" she called. Tailgate huffed before she created the shards of ice, with the flick of her claws the shards flew and surrounded the popplio before digging into the ground. Confused as to whats going on the popplio screeched, the sound waves turned pink hitting the oncoming bird "Disarming voice, interesting" Spade mumbled. Quill fell out of the sky landing on the ground, she squawked before standing on her claws "Tailgate, Icywind!". Tailgate sucked in a deep breath before blowing as hard as she could sending a cilling blast right at the water type.
The popplio panted, weak from the attack. Spade pulled out a pokéball before walking up and taking the sea lion pokémon. The pokéball shook a few times before it click making a small smile appear on Spade's face "Welcome to the team, Cascade".
After the cringy moment and the Dewpider, Azure decided to battle some other pokemon in the lake. He found a small sphere on sticks, also known as Surskit. He thought and immideately sent out Spot, his Pidgey. "Okay Spot, use Quick Attack!" The Pidgey would tuck in it's wings and accelerate at the Surskit, but the Surskit dodged, causing Spot to dive into the water. The pidgey got wet and didn't seem to be a ble to fly away, neither swim to the side. The Surskit used Sweet Scent, distracting Pidgey, almost causing it to drown. "Spot, no! You can do it! Get yourself loose!" The Pidgey tried to, but was knocked to the side of the lake by the Surkit's Quick Attack. "Finally, now get up, and let's do it!" The Pidgey pointed its head towards the Surskit and glared at it with anger flaming in its eyes. It then started uhh... screaming? It started with a low pitched "Rrrrrrrr" but quickly went up to a high pitched "rrrrrraaaaaaaaahhhh!!!" Spot the Pidgey would then started being enveloped in a white and lightblue flashing light. "Oh! Is that?" The Pidgey's wings grew bigger and a few hair like things appered on it's head. The glow exploded and revealed a newly evolved Pidgeotto. "Pidgeooooooo!" It cried out, and flew up into the air. It unleashed a fierce Gust, which would instantly knock the Surskit out. "You did it! Good job!" It landed on Azure's arm. "Oof, you're a bit heavy now..." Azure laughed.
Kaleb found the shiny Roggenrola again, and it started to flee, but he ran after it, and it couldn't dive into the lake, because it was a rock type, and there was no tall grass.
"Aron, Iron Head!" Aron charged at the shiny, and hit it right in the face, sending it flying.
But then, the Roggenrola glowed white, and evolved into Boldore! It used Stone Edge, sending Aron flying backwards.
"Aron, please get up," he pleaded. Aron got up and learned Iron Tail, and executed it perfectly on the Boldore.
"Ok, it's my turn!" Kaleb cried as he threw the pokeball. One shake. Two. Three! He caught the shiny Boldore!
But then, Aron glowed white.
"Aron!" Kaleb cried. "You're evolving!" And Aron had successfully evolved into Lairon, and learned Double-Edge.
Luke merely sighed at Kaleb. "This is why I don't like children," he muttered. Still, he recalled all his pokemon except his Alakazam. "Take us home, he told the psychic type. The psychic type's eyes glowed, the glowing blue encompassing Luke, Lucario, and Halt before they all vanished into thin air.
When the teleportation finished, the group was in a large throne room. The filtered sunlight of the jungle could be seen from the windows as well as the thick foliage. The room was massive, almost as large as a pokemon league battle arena. The towering walls were made of dark stone and pillars of shining obsidian. The floor, in contrast to the rest of the room, was made of marbled alabaster. And at the back of the room, in a throne of shining obsidian, was the King.
Even though he was sitting back, his facial expression was anything but relaxed. He looked angry, very angry. He was focused on the screen that showed Darla and her pokemon abandoning the rock pile after uncovering the crushed Galvantula. In his mind, she had wasted more than enough time on a corpse. He was an older man in an old style priest uniform. His skin was almost deathly pale and his eyes were just a few shades lighter than blood. All he had for hair was a thin amount of short white strands.
