My problem though is I cannot keep up with some of you. I go away for a bit and come back to 5-10+ posts and get lost. Though this was an extreme case given my notifications decided to screw me over XD

That's 9 people, plus three others who may jump in at any time, plus three additional OCs, that's 16 OCs. I think it would be too crowded if an extra two people joined. Larger RPs do work but often make things messy. Not to mention this RP is supposed to be closed. We've already progressed quite a bit in the story and I don't think it would be a good decision, though I'm not the one calling the shots.

I was ready to move on to the next day. Your post further up indicated that we'd be going into "FERRY DAY!" I say after 24 hours from the time you posted that, just go for it. Otherwise we'll keep standing around picking our noses, and that's pretty crippling with this many people in one RP.
