Open Kalos Wildreness

The illusionist's ears flicked back as the sound of splashing caught her attention. She whirled around, and almost shrieked at the sight of a giant, unfamiliar, seemingly bug-type Pokemon. She sprang backwards, the ridge of her mane bristling wildly.

Before Casys could land his First Impression on the Zoroark, he felt multiple ice type attacks hitting his exoskeleton, knocking him into a nearby tree. The Hard Scale Pokemon turns around to face the Sneasal, Shiny Glaceon, and Ice Sandshrew, and he lets loose a fearsome roar, preparing himself mentally for what Casys thought would surely be an epic battle.

Iglis snarled at the giant Pokemon, sharpening his claws against each other with a shrieking sound, Flayke was in the center of the trio, the air around him becoming visible and frost emerging from his mouth. He lowered the temperature around the general area, and fist sized hail began dropping out of the sky, bouncing harmlessly off the three Ice Types. Beside Flayke, Glace began a graceful dance with his claws, Swords Dance.

Flayke's snow cloak kicked in as his body relaxed, evasiveness increasing, and his whiter coat blending in with the frosty air. Glace's speed rose thanks to Slush Rush, and Iglis made sure to keep honing his claws to match the agility of his team. Each Pokemon bared sharp claws and spikes glinting in the covered sunlight, and Flayke's fur stood on end, shiny and covered in sharp subzero ice.

Each one was ready for the oncoming battle, C.C's clever tactics ingrained in their memory and just itching to be used.

Casys new that he would somehow have to split up the trio of ice types or he would lose the battle, so he decided to use that tactic. With blinding speed, Casys Sucker Punched both the Sneasel and the Sandslash away, the whole time ignoring the hail that was pounding into his back. The Sneasel was knocked into a tree and the Sandslash was hit about 5 yards away. Casys glanced down at the remaining Pokemon, the Glaceon, and jumped away, wary of what was clearly the leader of the trio.

Aegislash fell down, nearly unconscious. Kaisa quickly returned him to his Pokeball and started to run for the Pokemon center nearby. "Man, that Palosand was stronger than I thought" When he got there, he saw another trainer with a Glaceon he recognised from the forest, with a Mincinno and Phantump. "Hey, are they all right?" He asked the trainer

"Ooof" Eevee said as she ran straight into a tree. "I was running so fast I didn't notice the tree." She could here chatter coming from a few trees away, She could see a Glaceon, Jolteon, Palosand, Zoroark and an Absol.

The battle started so quickly that Ember's eyes almost couldn't keep up with it. Who's good and who's bad here? Her fur prickled as she dropped to all fours and watched them silently for a minute before making a decision. Guess I can hope to hit whoever I'm supposed to. She inhaled and blasted a flamethrower towards the group.

Kaisa's eyes narrowed as the flamethrower sped towards his Aegislash, already very weakened. Without thinking he ran towards him, and jumped in front of the flamethrower, shielding Aegislash from any more damage

Casys' felt the heat of a flamethrower nearby, and whirled around, cautious of the flames. He caught sight once more of the Zoroark, then turned around to face the Glaceon, which had run to the aid of one of the other ice types. Casys prepared a Sucker Punch in each of his fists, and rockets toward the Zoroark.

Dawn winced from the flames engulfing the air, and sped away from the commotion. Analyzing the situation, she saw the ice type pokemon defending the trainer, who was holding the recovering pokemon. The Zoroark just looked defensive or maybe confused, while the Golisopod was rushing toward Zoroark with a Sucker Punch attack, and an Eevee was there too. She used Ice Shard on Golisopod, then dove back into the water.

Iglis flipped so his feet hit the bark, growling, and with glowing claws rushed foreword. He hit the Goliospod with a rather powerful Beat Up, since he didn't have Fross nearby the power had been reduced to around 80, but that was still strong enough in his books. As soon as he executed the attack he dashed away, honing his claws more to aid him in dodging.

Glace was next, whilst in midair he performed defense curl, rolling across the ground and springing back up quickly thanks to his weight. With attack raised sharply, and ready to curl into a spiky ball of metal and frost bite inducing spikes, he rolled quickly into the Golipsod's back. Glace performed Ice Ball around three more times, rolling away and rushing back, each hit getting a little more powerful as he gained speed. The charge was reckless as his spikes left him momentarily invulnerable.

Finally, Flayke used the hail to his advantage, using Blizzard's increased accuracy, and unleashed the wall of icy air towards the offending Pokemon. The trio grouped back together, Iglis and Glace raising their stats as they waited.

Ember's attention turned towards the charging bug type. Her ears flicked up in alarm as she redirected her flamethrower to hit the huge Pokemon with a determined snarl.

Casys staggered forward, hurt and weak. He had only one move left, but he preferred not to use it since it drained most of his energy. He back up into the water, wading in past his legs. Using the charm attached to his neck, Cays began charging up for his powerful Z-Move: Hydro Vortex. He unleashed it upon his adversaries, bowing them back and knocking out the Sneasel and Glaceon. The Zoroark fell to the ground, and Casys kept forward, not to fight, but to offer advice. "Leave this place," Casys said to the Zoroark, "Those trainers will not rest until they have captured you. I hate to see Pokémon caught by humans and turned into slaves, or have experiments inflicted upon them. I was just trying to scare you and the trainers off, not really hurt anyone. Believe me, I could have fainted you as soon as I arrived with First Impression." Casys backed up into the river, then swam away to the grove of Pinap trees that he called home.

She paused after listening to the giant Pokemon. Would trainers really do that? A shiver creeped up her spine and she shook herself off, glancing around quickly before retreating quickly up a tree.

Kaisa stood up and shook himself off, before looking around him. There were Pokemon everywhere! But then he saw a Golisipod, and it was using a Z-move! "Aegislash, we need that Golisipod." He pulled out a max potion and sprayed it over Aegislash, who floated up, revived. Kaisa then ran towards the water Pokemon and hurled an ultra ball

Flayke and Iglis flew back from the super effective Z-move, the power was lessened hitting three targets but it still rendered Iglis fainted and Flayke hardly holding on. Only Glace was in relatively fighting shape, having curled up into a ball. But now his main defense, the ice covered metal spikes, had been shattered and dented. With a snort, the Sandslash gently slung the fainted Sneasel over his shoulder and across his smooth back, and hooked a claw under Flayke's chin to support him. The trio staggered off, thankful that the Golispod had been merely trying to scare them off, not attack C.C.

Speaking of which, when they returned to where they could find her scent, they found her looking rather mortified up in the tree. Flayke groaned, half in pain and half in exasperation. He knew all about how even with her pills C.C hated the feeling of landing or getting small cuts. Worse, it had been nearly 24 hours since she last had her medication, if they didn't get her down soon she ran a greater and greater risk of having a panic attack.

She also had all the max revives, potions, and other items with her. They didn't know how to use most of her healing supplies, so her throwing them down for them to do self healing was out of the picture. They were in quite the plight.

C.C gasped at her team down below, looking war torn, and worse for wear. She growled to herself, someone was going to seriously pay for hurting her team! She just about jumped off the branch, but yelped and stopped herself. The branch groaned, and twigs snapped and leaves rustled. Her torso jerked and air whooshed out of her lungs. Scrambling back onto the sturdy branch she gripped her midsection. It was only a slight jostle, but the pressure she felt was still a little painful, but enough for her to curl in on herself and whimper.

Kaisa looked up from the fight, hearing a whimper, and saw a trainer up a tree, curled in a ball. "Hey, are you all right?"

Dawn saw the other ice types going back to their trainer. It seemed worried about getting down, and she watched curiously, wondering what their next move would be.

Glace guided Flayke and Iglis to lay down under the tree, and when he looked up he noticed a rather concerned trainer. Looking closely he deduced that it had been the one in a battle earlier, but Glace paid him no mind, knowing C.C likely wouldn't answer him. Instead, he looked up and moved around, before seeming to find the ideal spot. Looking up he yowled towards C.C, and managed to spook her out of her shock. She had slightly red eyes, and they were misty with the beginnings of fearful tears. He held out his blunt claws, motioning a few times.

C.C's eyes widened in recognition, "Are you kidding me Glace!? I'm not jumping!" The Sandslash huffed, "It is alright, Mistress! I will catch you!" C.C got the gist of his cries, "I'm not doing it!"

Glace narrowed his eyes, but shifted his position again. Crouching low, he quickly charged with Iron Head, hitting the tree and jostling C.C, causing her to fall off with a cry. Swiftly kicking off the trunk, Glace placed his claws under C.C and caught her, sliding to a halt on the ground and absorbing all he impact. C.C did have a stream of tears on her cheeks, but she wasn't crying. In fact she was fuming.

"GLACE! What did I freaking tell you?!" she scrambled out of his grip and quickly brushed herself off. Her anger didn't last long, though, because it quickly returned to her attention that her team was in need to medical attention. Pulling out the leftover revival liquid she used on the wild Pokemon earlier, she drop fed Iglis the mixture which had added Leppa berries to restore his PP. She gave Flayke and Glace a hyper potion each, and restored their PP, and using a Full Heal kickstarted the regrowth of Glace's spikes.

At the sudden movement of the tree, Quigley lost his balance on the branch and fell onto the grassy ground below. Groaning, he held his painful head in his ghostly paws- the contact with the ground had woken him. "Wha...?" he began, looking up to the tree, where he could see Renai's form laying on a branch. "How did she...?" Unsure of what had happened since he had been knocked out for most of the action, the Phantump looked around to see the strainer from before healing her team. There had been a fight? Bah, that didn't matter right now. With a small shriek, he scrambled to the opposite side of the tree to hide from the human, still fairly afraid of what she was capable of.

...Hold on. Hadn't she helped both him and Renai? He remembered a hazy memory or waking up for a second or two to see the human holding him and his friend, but that was all. What if she had and he's overreacting?

...What if that had all been a trick? She must've healed them to lure them in and catch them! Why else would she help them, anyway?

Then again, he could just be overreacting. With a paw still on his forehead, Quigley poked his head out from behind the tree, unsure of what he should do. "What happened?" he asked nobody in particular, even though he told himself the question was directed at the human.

Ember gradually became more relaxed as she climbed higher in the tree, away from the jumbled mess below. Her claws hooked into a knot in the tree and she spared a glance downwards at sudden shrieks. Her ears angled towards the ground as she spied two trainers through the falling leaves.

C.C glanced towards the shiny, smiling because the revive formula worked. She wiped some of her tears away, "Haha! I knew that stuff worked like a charm!" Glace beside her nodded, rubbing C.C's leg with his cheek thankfully as his spikes began regrowing, and he waddled to lean on the tree. Iglis resumed his favorite perch, curled up right in the crook of C.C's neck, and Flayke flicked his ears and tail in recognition.

He calmly trotted towards the fellow shiny, sitting in front of him, and offering a small smile. He had heard the question, and offered the answer, "You and your friend sank to the bottom of the river, passed out. I swam in to save you, and Glace over there," he nodded to the stoic Sandslash, "Pulled the three of us out. Then C.C revived you, a wild battle broke out so she ran to hide you and your friend in a safe spot. We came back a little worse for wear, and December over there forgot that she was algophobic and was stuck in the tree until Glace knocked her out of it. I assume you must have fallen off at that same point."

He offered another smile, "You're lucky it was C.C who we brought you too, she has this incredible urge to help anything that moves. Heck, it could have been a rampaging Dragonite with a stubbed toe and she would run up to it to help. Even if it gets her in trouble most of the time," Flayke directed the last sentence over his shoulder with a smirk towards his trainer.

C.C caught all of it and pouted, "One time, Flayke. It was one time!" This caused a laugh to escape the mouths of her team members out of their Pokeballs.

Casys strode into his grove of Pinap trees and sat down, leaning against the side of one of them for support. His encounter with the ice types and the Zoroark left him damaged and with his energy completely drained. He played the scene over in his head a few times, wincing as he remembered the Ice Shard that hit him square in the chest. Ugh, he thought. Standing up, Casys reached up and plucked a Pinap berry off of a low hanging branch, and chewed it thoughtfully. I hope that Zoroark is okay. And I hope that none of those Pokémon come looking for me, he thought as he chewed the bitter fruit.

Dawn watched the other ice types with their trainer. They were safe. The Golisopod had run off when she wasn't looking, like the Zoroark. Getting a closer look at the trainers couldn't hurt, so she crept closer, still trying to camouflage with her surroundings.

As the shiny Glaceon walked over to him, Quigley couldn't help but shrink back behind the tree. Only the side of his face was seen, but as he heard more of what had happened while he was knocked out, he began to emerge more and more from his hiding spot. "R-Really? All th-that happened while we w-were out?" he stuttered for confirmation, sockets wide. He looked to the laughing team with newfound respect. Even though he was still a bit on-edge, he felt fairly comfortable in their presence now, and it really helped knowing that the human did not want to catch him... probably. That was never explicitly stated, was it?

"That's amazing..." Quigley continued, his stutter fading. "Thank you so, so much for helping us. Renai' a pretty heavy sleeper..." Chuckling awkwardly, the Phantump glanced up to the branch the Minccino still resided on. She was stirring in we sleep, but he knew it would still be a while before she woke up. She only stirred like that if she was uncomfortable, anyway. "I don't think we would've made it if it wasn't for you all..."

"Don't mention it. What sort of Pokemon would that make us to leave you two to drown?" Flayke hummed. He looked up into the sky, noticing that in a little while it would begin to grow dark. And of course, a mental clock of sorts seemed to go off in his brain. He briskly trotted over to C.C, and stuck his nose into one of the pouches on her hips. When he removed his head, he had a pill bottle between his teeth.

Using his head and paws he nudged C.C, and she looked down to her faithful starter. "OH! I almost forgot about those..." She smiled sheepishly, taking the bottle and unscrewing the lid. She removed her daily dose of the tablets, and popped them into her mouth, dry swallowing them.

Her three active members looked at her and cringed, but it still amazed them how she swelled those without water. Although, they seemed to be less on edge all of a sudden. In truth, they all knew about C.C's medication schedule, and now that she was back on track it was one less thing to worry about. The next would be setting up camp.

Eevee by this time had climbed up into a tree to watch the group. She desperately wanted to find out what the group was doing. But suddenly, she heard a crack and she went tumbling down to the ground. She landed with a thud. "Ow" She said.

She shifted into a Persian once more to give herself more room on the rather small branch. Her claws sunk into the bark as she finally allowed herself to fully relax after that whole ordeal. Her oddly golden eyes scanned the ground, nevertheless.

She saw another trainer. This one was obviously obsessed with dragon types, so he was safe to go near for her, unlike the other two. She crept closer, and saw that he was sleeping. She turned around to play with his pokemon. They seemed relaxed, lying on the sand.

Dawn sat and watched the dragons move around on the beach. She wasn't sure what to do now, so she just sat a little distance from the trainer, blowing out and watching crystals form in the air.
