“Elekid, try and wake this guy up please.” Dom said, finishing his first plate of food.

Elekid looked annoyed to have to pause its own meal (consisting ONLY of desserts) but did so anyone, and climbed up onto the guys face and began spinning its arms wildly, generating a small shock that would hopefully wake him up.

"...He really is out like a light" Charlie mumbled, watching him roll around and sleeptalk "what a heavy sleeper..." she said with a sigh. She looked at the sleeping trainer and noticed a room key labeled "99" hanging from his pocket "hmm...maybe I'll visit ya sometime later." She stepped back and noticed Dom attempting to wake up Del with electricity "woah! woah! woah!" she spoke frantically, rushing to and pickking up elekid. "Uh... Dom I wouldn't do that. If he's as a heavy sleeper as it looks, if you were to wake him up with a shock like that he might just beat you up." She set the elekid down, and wiped a bit of sweat off her face.

Charlie made her way back to her seat and finished her plate. "Ahh thats great, nothing to end off the night than a 5 star meal."
Charlie sat for a moment before she stood back up, hands against the table "well, I do hope I get a chance to get to know all you guys better, since we'll be living here together and all. But I'm about out of it, if it wasn't for my hunger I probably would have fell asleep in my dorm this whole time. " Charlie yawned, waved to the many people at the table, and was off "goodnight everyone" she said , waving as she walked away. During this she once again caught sight of the golem pokemon, and its trainer "o-oh you! Sorry to leave before getting to meet you but I'm Charlie, we'll get a good chance to introduce each other tommorow!" She called out, while she was disappointed that she didn't get to really conversate with some of those trainers, including the girl with her golurk despite it peeking her interest.

"yawn maybe thats why thay one guy was sleeping so heavy, maybe he had a busy day too."

She made it back to her room and went inside, seeing her 3 pokemon playing....cards? "H-how do any of you know how to play that, wait are you guys playing go fish!?" She looked at her trio with a face of solid confusion. Before letting out a laugh and walking past them and climbing into her bed "goodnight guys, I love ya. If Horiko comes back be sure to give her some room" she said in a mumbly tone, before closing her eyes and drifting to sleep. Even forgetting to change out of uniform...

Jack gave a small wave. "Hey, Laura." Then he turned to the rest of the group. "Ah, well, I should probably introduce my Pokémon, too..." Jack opened two Poké Balls, revealing a Gallade and an Empoleon. "That's my partner, Justin the Gallade. I got that Empoleon from my brother after he decided he no longer wanted to use Pokémon for battle. I caught Justin with my two brothers, back when it was just a small Ralts." Then he looked back at the group. "And they've been by my side ever since. I also own a Finneon, but I can't let it out right now, since, you know, land."

And after a little more conversation, Jack realized that he was tired. "Yeah, I'm with Charlie on this." He yawned. "Be seeing you, Dom. You too, Emma. And I hope to talk more with the rest of you soon." He gave a faint smile as he gathered his things and left the dining room, with his Pokémon in tow.

Once he reached his room, he changed out of his school uniform, folded it neatly on the floor next to his bed, and climbed in, drifting off almost immediately. He didn't even have time to recap his first day at this incredible place. As far as he was concerned, it was too good to be true, and he was dreaming this whole time. Luckily, he wasn't.

Matt gave Jason’s Scrafty an odd look once it came out of its Pokéball inside of their dorm of all places. The Pokémon he recognized were few and far between, and Scrafty just so happened to be one of them. “Well, my name’s Matthew Dempsey,” he said as he was tending to his own business. He appreciated the reminder that it was dinner, as his mind was racing after knowing Jason had a Metagross AND Empoleon in his party. Being Unovan, he wasn’t very familiar with those Pokémon, but he knew they were very strong. After Jason left, he got into more formal clothes, and after a few final adjustments to his collar, made his way down to the lobby. He had only brought his Galvantula with him, which hopefully would suffice merely eating dinner.

As Reese finished her food through the lively dinner conversations, people started leaving for their dorms. “Aww, people are tired already?” she whined to Rocket. “I’m still so full of… yawn… excitement…” She blinked three times in quick succession. “I could stay awake forever…” but was cut off by another wide yawn. “Maybe I should go to bed. Big day tomorrow… I should get some rest— even though I’m not tired!” she added for Rocket’s benefit. The Golurk made a rumbling noise, a cross between amusement and exasperation. She hopped off his shoulder and left her plates on the table, then held out her Pokémon’s three Pokeballs. One by one, they shrank down in flashes of green.

Reese looked around one more time before finally heading back up to the dorms, only going one stair at a time this time. Uphill was always harder, that’s why she was going slower, and not because she was tired, nope, not in the slightest. And yet, as she reached her dorm and saw Jack very much asleep on his side, she felt another huge yawn coming on. It was all she could do to change into her massive “Rocks Rule!” T-shirt before she was out like a light, not even bothering to put her bag off the bed or slide under the covers.

"See you tomorrow." Emma responded to Charlie and Jack.

It was at this point, she realized why the Empoleon had been walking around the room.

"Jason." Emma whispered, "Empoleon tends to go ahead of Jason so he can find where he's supposed to be."

Jason had arrived into the room, as one would normally expect of someone with half as much confidence as Laura. Scrafty followed suit, entering the Dining room, as they went in line. Jason had gotten some food, a mix of a bunch of stuff on the buffet. Laura and Emma both gave an odd look at the Empoleon that had went to Assist Jason. The Empoleon went over to Laura and Emma and asked about somewhere for Jason to sit. Emma nodded as Jason arrived over.

"Hi, Jason," Emma responded, "Dom, meet my brother Jason."

Ivan finished his steak and started eating his Macaroni, he looked towards Dom and started to speak.

"Hey Dom right? I saw your pokemon battle from earlier, well kinda anyway, your really talented as a pokemon trainer."

After Ari and Koji finished up their asparagus Skid left the table and came back with two plates of fruit cake for them and flew over to Ivan and sat on his head.

Needless to say given her absence, Hokori had gotten lost and was just arriving not long after her roommate leaving, something she realised soon after and immeadiantly facepalmed.

"Cruddddd...." She groaned, before hearing something rumble. "Oh! Crud!" She pouted a little. Deciding to get her foot, she grabbed a fairly large plate of food mostly mixed together and the like before heading to one of the few spots she could find left. Moving some of the food to different plates from her Pokémon...who recoiled at the smell. "It's not that bad, you two..." She laughed a little, nudging them forward to eat. Eventually, they did, and she began eating her food. Soon finishing it in record time, Hokori immeadiantly sighed in relief. "Oooo, I needed that. Excitement, am ah right?" She joked, getting a small chirp of a response from Taupe.

"Oh! That gives me an idea...Taupe, while I'm getting some more food - I promise it won't smell that bad this time, I won't mix that all up -, could you try finding that guy Charlie was battling earlier?" She asked, Taupe nodding before going under while Hokori and Cor stood up, a small shine in their eyes as they went over to get something sweet...

Mm...if a mix-match of things tastes that good here, I can't wait to have something sweet!

Soon, Taupe found Dom's table...and promptly bumped his head on the underside of it while listening in, causing a noticeable noise and stunning the Pokémon's three heads in surprise at it's own mistake.

“It’s nice to meet you Jason.” Dom said, “and thank you Ivan. If you want we could battle sometime, or just practice.”

The table suddenly jumped up a bit, causing one of Dom’s Malasadas to fall to the floor. Dom rolled his eyes at the random occurrence and leaned over to pick up the malasada so he could give it to his Pokémon, and then noticed a dugtrio under the table.

“What’s a dugtrio doing under here?” He said to himself.

Raboot looked at the Dugtrio, and walked up to it to check if it was okay.

"Boot?" The Raboot asked out of pure concern.

Emma had looked at Raboot, and was fine. Laura had felt the Dugtrio bump into the table and restrained her plate so it didn't fly off. The food went straight up then back down onto the plate.

"Hello there, are you a student's Pokémon?" Emma had asked when she went to check on Raboot.

"If one of my Pokémon went under the table, the table would be in the air, or no more." Jason responded then turned to Ivan "Hello, Ivan, I am Jason Argentston."

It had already gotten very late by the time Matt reached the dinner table. It seemed like people were heading back to their rooms more than they were arriving. It couldn’t have gotten that late, right? Still, he needed dinner, so he decided to stay a while. Matt didn’t really know anyone aside from Jason, so meagerly took a seat next to him. His plate was filled with a bland variety of foods, but he seemed to be enjoying them. The sight of a Dugtrio made him think about the team he had brought with him. Galvantula, Braviary, Carracosta… only his Carracosta could counter it, but its Rock type could still leave it vulnerable to an Earthquake. In terms of the large number of Steel types present among the trainers, all three of his Pokémon would be easy pickings for them. Matt came to the conclusion that he would have to catch at least one new Pokémon from this island, maybe a Grass or Fighting type? He had appeared to have completely filtered out any outside conversations that were happening at the table.

Taupe was groaning away when spotted, dazed with spinning heads.
"Du..." He simply said in response to Raboot, before shaking off the shock. "Trio! Du!" He added after recovery, suddenly ducking back down into the ground.

Moments later, Hokori, holding a small bowl of ice cream, walked over, having been led over by Taupe - After Hokori's immediate concerns were fixed - as per her wishes.
"Heyyy, sorry about the bump there." She turned to Dom. "You're the one who was Charlie's opponent earlier, right? I'm Hokori, Charlie's roommate. Pleasure to meet you." She said, tilting her head, even she knew it was too obvious she wanted to know some strategy stuff now. "Oh! Right, lots of you. Um... I didn't plan for multiple people... Nice to meet you all, I know it's a lil awkward but I'm assuming a few of you guys are friends with Charlie so I figured it was best to come here!" She added moments later, feeling more than a little silly.

“Yeah, though most of us are either just finishing eating or already done and about to leave, we should coordinate dinner more.” Dom laughed, munching on his last Malasada.

“I’m actually probably about to head to bed,” Dom lied, “but it was really nice to meet you Hokori!” Dom said.

Dom took his plates back and said his goodbyes to the table, hopefully things would be a bit organized later, but it was their first night at Kyogre Lake, there were bound to be a few cluttered events that day. As Dom arrived back at his dorm, he secretly got ready for his late night excursion. He put on his pajama pants, as to seem like he was going to sleep, but wore a black sport tank top. Something flexible and weather appropriate for the somewhat warm nights on the lake, as well as his Draconid headband. Dom let all his Pokémon out of their pokeballs, and they all “got ready” for bed. Elekid made its home underneath Doms bed in an empty cubby. Krabby reluctantly slept on Doms bedside dresser, and Sliggoo slept on a small shelf that hung from the wall above Doms bed. Lycanroc decided to sleep right at the foot of Doms bed.

“Right, goodnight everyone. Lycanroc, you know the plan.” Dom said.

Hopefully Emma would fall asleep soon, so Dom could sneak out and meet Mr. Hanzo like he said he would. He lay in bed, facing the wall, waiting.

"I would really like that Dom. Maybe you could give me some pointer that could help me out a ton. It's nice to meet you Jason, I hope we can get along well."

Ari and Koji finished their fruit cake and began to walk on the table. Ari sat on the table and began to sleep on the table. Koji grabbed the plate and walked over to the table to get more dessert.

By the time he’d finished his plate, Matt had spiraled into an abyss of possible battle outcomes between him and other trainers. He began worrying that he might not be fully ready for a battle with anyone. He excused himself from the table rather abruptly, and he made a retreat back up to his dorm. Matt sat on his bed, sighing out of a mix of frustration and his feeling of weakness towards the other trainers. He went to a full-fledged, formal dinner and didn’t even speak to anyone the entire time. Perhaps it was getting to late. He changed into casual clothes for bed, yawned, an to tried to sleep.

It was still very late, and he began to suffer from insomnia. He started to think that he was the weakest link out of the student body. There had to be something about his attitude with his Pokémon he could change, right? Overwhelmed by these thoughts, his Galvantula popped out of its Pokéball. Shocked, he jolted back. “Oh-,” he spoke under his breath. “What are you doing outside of your Pokéball!?” The Galvantula didn’t reply, instead deciding to make its home curled up next to Matt’s pillow. Matt didn’t say anything after that, instead choosing to doze off with his partner Pokémon in peace.

Somewhat disappointed by the response, Hokori didn't get any more time to say a response before everyone headed off.

"Oh. I...guess that's fine." She pouted, slowly sitting down after getting over the confusion of Ari sleeping on the table. She quickly ate some of her ice cream, giving the rest to Cor and Taupe, before getting up and heading on back to the room.

"Alright, Charlie, I'm baac-" She began to say, before noticing that her roommate fast asleep - And still in uniform, no less - and her Pokémon playing cards. "Ah. I'll keep it down, then." She decided, before rummaging around in one of bags and pulling out a a blue onesie with stickers and the like all over, sneakily changing super quick and placing her uniform to the side. Meanwhile, Cor hopped onto the bed, and Taupe moved under a chair to rest, dozing off immeadiantly. "Hopefully there's spare uniforms, wouldn't want our friend to be...er, not of good smell." She joked, before turning off the light. "Night, everyone~" She added, before flopping onto the bed and falling asleep practically instantly with Cor beside her..

Emma looked at her plate, and Raboot, and figured she'd grab some dessert, as she looked at the dessert line, she grabbed some items and came back to eat. At that point she sat down with Ivan, Jason, and Laura.

"So, whose Swablu fell asleep?" Emma was genuinely curious.

Jason had been finishing some food as Scrafty popped out and figured he'd let everyone out. Metagross, Aerodactyl, A Kirlia, a Lurantis and Empoleon all appeared around the table.

"Scrafty, you guys hungry?"

All nodded.

"Alright, and Metagross, don't eat the buffet pans!"

Scrafty went to work assisting Empoleon with what they would eat, Empoleon had fish, as Scrafty grabbed a massive plate of Potatoes and Asparagus, and other iron rich foods. He left it to Metagross, who ate all of that and the plate as well. As such Scrafty grabbed some Nut based foods for himself, Lurantis had found some foods that he was interested in, Kirlia ate some clams. At that point, Jason went for dessert as Metagross followed behind.

"Hey, Emma, where's James?" Laura asked.

"I passed him on the way here, bit haven't seen him since." Emma responded.

Inside room 103, Charlie started to mumble. Shifting her position and holding her pillow... she woke up. What a great 1st night "gah!" She sat up suddenly holding her pillow in her arms "c'mon I couldn't make it through the whole night!" She groaned, irritated. She looked around the room and noticed Horiko was asleep on the other bed, her pokemon too. Charlie instantly tensed up "crap, I can't be loud, what a great roomate I would be if I woke you up in the middle of the night" she whispered in to her pillow. Her pokemon were staring at Charlie. It looked as if King & Shoe was attempting to sleep. Dune was standing over a small table at the foot of her bed. It looked as if he was playing...solitaire "...Dune....when the hell did you learn to play solitaire...." she held out her hand at the flygon with a deadpan expression, her mouth still in her pillow "I never taught you that...how. and why aren't you sleeping?" At this point her other 2 pokemon had returned to sleeping, King was at the edge of the bed and Shoe sitting against it on the floor. Dune simply looked away and gave a little sigh through her nose... It seems she was still upset at the battle...

June waited patiently for Durant to finish eating after finishing herself. The other students at her table had, for the most part, already left. She hadn’t really spoken to them much, but that was alright; she’d have many more chances to get to know her classmates.

A telltale tugging on her shoe gave June the signal that her partner was ready to go. As she got up to leave, she realised that the guy who had showed up and immediately went to sleep was still there, out like a light. At this point, the dining hall was really beginning to thin out, and June wondered if she should help the guy get back to his room. Although Durant likely had the strength to carry a person, the sight of an unconscious student being dragged around the halls would certainly not go unquestioned. Plus, Durant was giving her a threatening squint, as if the Pokemon knew what she was thinking and was prepared to openly rebel.

In the end, June decided to just leave. She decided to go downstairs and take a walk around campus instead of heading by to her room. Night was Durant’s favorite time to be out and about, and June was pretty used to accompying her Pokemon into the late hours.

Ivan finished his plate of food and began to wipe his mouth, just before he got up Koji tugged his leg and jumped on the table and gave Ivan a slice of strawberry cake. Ivan smiles at Koji and pat his head, Ivan heard Emma ask about the Sleeping Swablu on the table.

"Oh, the Swablu's mine, I guess she got sleepy after eating." Ivan said as he chuckled.

"Aww," Emma cooed, then asked, "It seems we're in twos, so, Who is your roommate, Mine's Dom from today's battle."

"A guy named Matt who was here earlier," Jason responded as he turned around to see his sisters chatting.

Laura was looking down, as her roommate was right across from her. It was at that moment the ground rumbled as something massive parked outside the building. Everyone looked out the window to see a Shiny Steelix.

"He finally got here." Laura responded after Lifting her head.

James had ran to his dorm, numbered 118 after he got the number confirmed, ran up to the dorm, changed into his uniform and ran back down, a Fomantis had been seen carrying his belt, as he put it on right before entering the hall, he grabbed a plate and piled it with some of what was left, sat down next to his siblings and started sorting out what to eat.

Having kept pace with James and his Steelix, Alex didn't even bother changing into his uniform when he reached their room. Instead, he tossed his suitcase on the open bed and went back the way he came, his Pokemon following behind him as he started clicking again. It took some time, but he did manage to make his way to the cafeteria with his nose leading him to the food. It all smelled great and he wasn't a picky eater so he really just picked up a little bit of everything and went to an empty table with his Pokemon. And then, they were eating. Aria and Gwen made plates for themselves as they were also very hungry. While Aria practically wolfed her food down, Gwen observed dining etiquette and ate like she was royalty. So focused was the trio, they didn't even notice the table full of people next to them.

Charlie wiped her eyes, and stood up off the bed "Dune, follow." She whispered to her agitated flygon. Dune looked with a somewhat confused expression as her trainer walked past her and opened the door to the room. She watched as Charlie went out to the hall and followed like she was told. Once outside, Charlie shut the door and put both hands on her hips "ok, whats wrong." She asked in a grumpy tone. Dune looked down at Charlie's feet and then turned her head "you're still upset about loosing to dom's sliggoo, aren't you."
Dune's head raised up for a bit, before she forced it back to looking at the ground. Charlie grabbed the flygon's hand and walked down the hall. Bringing the both of them into the elevator. Dune didn't say anything but was still confused at what her Master was doing. Charlie looked at the buttons before finally hitting one labeled "R" short for Roof. After waiting in the elevator as it pulled itself up the building, Dune began to make noises "fly?" She mattered to Charlie, but she didn't say a word. Once to the top floor she exited the elevator and to both her and Dune's surprise, the roof was actually furnished. Packed with lawn chairs and several other things to keep it alive. Shockingly enough it didn't have a fence bordering the roof. Charlie and dune walked near the edge of the roof."Dune! Listen to me!" Charlie shouted out The pokemon stood straight up, shocked by the sudden yell "You aren't the strongest Dune. You can't hold yourself to be better than every other pokemon here" She clenched her fists "this isn't going to be like dewford, not like the gym. These people are the best of the best for upcoming trainers." Charlie started to tense up "I'm not the best trainer here and I know that for a fact... I can't beat these ace's without you, but If you hold yourself back by getting worked up every time you lose a fight I can't trust you to be my partner. These trainers are gonna pull out some crazy stuff, things we've never seen. Heck Dom showed us up and this was our first battle."

Charlie was shaking. She wasn't the type to get upset, or angry really. But I think seeing all those trainers with their teams and the idea of loosing was getting to her

Ever since she had been accepted to the school she was afraid of getting shown up. In her small town it wasn't often somebody could beat her in a battle. Not when she was using her proper team atleast. Even so she was brought here because of her father, while she was grateful for it. She couldn't help but feel inferior to some of these others.

Dune was worried, she had never seen Charlie so emotional before. "We only drawed in our battle with Dom. But that was because of Mr. Hanzo, I had a gut feeling if he didn't interfere we would have lost that battle despite how confident I seemed. Imagine if we didn't have king..." Charlie was starting to tear up. "Ugh I hate getting worked up like this." She mumbled to herself. Dune was starting to whimper, she got closer to Charlie and began to nuzzle up to her "I'm sorry, I...I think I'm overreacting." Charlie let out a deep exhale "I brought us up here so I could help you because you were afraid of loosing...turns out I was even more scared of that" Charlie calmed down a bit, wiping her teary face. Dune stsrted to smile and gave a supportive murmer while nuzzling her trainer "you think I'm being too hard on myself? Maybe I am, I think I just needed to vent a bit. Let it out so I can move forward" dune flapped her wings in agreement "we'll do better, if we aren't up to snuff with these other guys we'll have to work hard till we are right, would you be willing to do that with me" Charlie was feeling better, no longer feeling the doubt she had in her head this whole time she had been here. Dune nodded her head, saying she was willing to improve for the sake of Charlie and herself, as well as her other teamates Shoe and King "thank you bud. Lets get to bed, we'll train some when we get through with that opening ceramony okay." Charlie said with a light smile. She turned her body around, about to make her way back to the elevator. Suddenly she took a step her foot landed on something. She couldn't tell what it was, but it rolled. Charlie slipped back as the object rolled out from under her feet. It was a pokeball, did she drop it during her vent.... Charlie fell back, previously standing at the edge of the multi-storied Dormitory, now tumbling over the edge of the roof. Charlie felt her heart stop seeing the window of one the floors as she fell past it. She didn't sceam out of total shock, realizing what was happening. As she fell closer to the ground a Super speedy Dune dived down and caught Charlie mid fall, she held her with her arms and wings wrapped around her. Before unwrapping her wings to continue flight. Soaring back around the building before landing softly at the bottom story, touching the ground, Dune let out a very apparent sigh of relief. Charlie was in the flygon's arms, the feeling of shock drifting away with the feeling of her feet in the ground replacing it. Instantly she turned her body and hugged Dune tight "ok, so we're never ever gonna tell anyone about that right.... " Charlie gave a light chuckle, trying to cover up her heart stopping fear that made her body wobbly. Dune hugged back.

After some time the two who were now at the bottom floor, had headed back into dorms, The receptionist was slightly confused, not remembering Charlie leaving the building.

They eventually made it to her room, stepping inside to see Hokori was still asleep and so were both her and Charlie's pokemon. Charlie had changed into actual sleeping clothes and sat down on her bed. feeling exhausted once more after the recent events. Dune was no longer grumpy. She nudged her pokeball which he also retrieved from the rooftop, and recalled herself back into it.

Before Ivan could respond to Emma's question he felt his seat shake and grabbed his plate so it wouldn't fall off the table, but in doing so he ended up falling backwards and hitting his head on the ground and yelled in pain. Before Ivan's ckae could fall off the table Skid grabbed it and watched as Ivan hit the ground with a large thud as he made impact with the ground.

"OW! Dammit why did that have to happen when I was enjoying my dessert!"

Ivan began to rub the back of his head while trying pull himself together, Ivan's eyes were clearly watering from the pain he was feeling.

"Sorry about that," Jason responded, "James finally arrived, he owns a Steelix."

James had been eating, but was not much for talking at the moment, he looked at them as he finished eating. As Emma realized she was tired, she looked at her siblings.

"I'll head off now, the rest of you enjoy dinner."

Emma got up as Raboot hopped back on her shoulder. They put their plates up for cleaning as they then went into the dorm, got changed into some sleeping clothes, and went to sleep.

James was finishing eating as Laura finished her dessert and Jason had seen his Pokémon finishing up.

"I'm going to bed, see you all tomorrow." Jason returned all his Pokémon as he responded.

Jason then went to bed, getting changed as Scrafty sat on the foot. When he got done, he went to sleep. Scrafty slept at the foot of the bed as his other Pokémon were too big for the dorm.

Dom waited and waited until Emma finally arrived in the room. As she hit the bed, Dom felt a huge wave of relief wash over him. Finally, he could meet with Mr. Hanzo. He waited for a moment, trying to gauge whether or not she was actually asleep, and then sprung into action. Dom and Lycanroc slowly crept up, and snuck towards the window in their room, and opened it slowly. While Dom opened the window, Lycanroc went into the drawer and grabbed the Z-Power ring and the Lycanium-Z, and quickly scurried to Dom's side.

"Right, almost left this didn't I" Dom laughed.

Leaving it open, Dom jumped out and landed swiftly on the ground. A bit of a hard landing, but nothing a Draconid couldn't handle. Lycanroc jumped down next and the two sprinted towards the main arena. The arena was on the other side of the forest, so once again Dom decided to jump through the trees. This time though, he seemed not to feel the same ominous presence, it must've been concentrated at the front of the forest near the docks. They shortly arrived at the bridge that led to the Arena, which was built on top of the water. It was a really beautiful night that night, and the stars reflected off the water.

"This almost reminds me of the day you evolved, Lycanroc. Do you remember? That was the day that we beat Kiawe's trial. I wonder what they're all doing now..." He wondered.

They soon arrived in the arena, and they were greeted by Hanzo and his Accelgor.

"Well, I see you actually kept your word. Did you bring it?" Hanzo asked.

Dom nodded, and raised his hand in the Arena light, showing off the Z-Power ring with the Lycanium-Z. Hanzo seemed amazed, and grabbed Dom's arm, raising it in the air to get a better look.

"Wow, I never thought I'd see this Z-Crystal again." he said.

"You've seen it before?" Dom asked, confused.

"Yes, I have. Anyways, we should probably start our training. It's what, 10:30 now? I'm giving you until 11 to get it back." Hanzo said coldly.

"Wha-?" Dom looked down at his Z-Power ring to see that the Lycanium Z was now gone.

Dom and Lycanroc looked around frantically, but turned around to see Accelgor holding the Z-Crystal. Still a bit surprised, Dom and Lycanroc sprang into action.

______________________________________________

Dom was kneeled over, winded, and fell to the ground.

"5 more minutes." Hanzo taunted, walking up next to Dom.

"Quickly Lycanroc, go for it!" Dom said.

Lycanroc, who also appeared tired and beat up, charged at the Accelgor, who was still full of energy. Dom watched as Lycanroc charged, and looked up at Hanzo, which is when he noticed it. A Z-Crystal shape was protruding from his pocket, and Dom had only just noticed it. He quickly sprung up and reached into Hanzo's pocket, and grabbed the Z crystal and jumped back.

"Hah! Got it!" Dom shouted excitedly.

Hanzo seemed impressed, and Accelgor approached, still holding the other Z crystal in its hand. Lycanroc slowly followed behind, somewhat tired, but seemed to be recovering.

"Well, congrats. You passed my test. However, I have two things to say. One, that actually isn't, a Lycanium Z." Hanzo said.

"What?!" Dom shouted.

The Z-crystal poofed into a small cloud of smoke, revealing that it wasn't a Lycanium-Z, but only a regular Rockium-Z.

"Second, here, eat this." Hanzo said.

He handed Dom and Lycanroc these two strange herbs. Dom and Lycanroc both put them in their mouths, and immediately recoiled.

"What is this!?" Dom asked.

"It's some energy root, to help get you ready for the second part of tonight's training." Hanzo said, "I want you to use that Rockium Z. Use it until you perfect it, not a single flaw. I'll be the one you use it on."

"Are we fighting Accelgor again?" Dom asked.

"No, you're gonna be fighting this pokemon." Hanzo said.

He sent out a Pokemon from a quick ball, and it was his own Lycanrock, but it was a Midday form.

"Go ahead, I know you already know the pose." Hanzo said.

______________________________

"Alright... Lycanroc one more time!" Dom shouted.

Lycanroc pulled itself up, and got ready.

"The raging mountains bring themselves down upon you, stronger than a rock, the raging boulder! Continental Crush!" Dom said as he performed the Z-Pose.

Energy gathered around Doms Lycanroc and its Aura flared to life. It jumped high into the air and a giant boulder formed as tons of rocks were pulled in by Doms Lycanroc. Hanzos Lycanroc looked up at the boulder, seemingly unfazed. Doms Lycanroc hurled the boulder at Hanzos Lycanroc, and it went flying. As it got closer and closer, it started to... diminish. The boulder soon began to fall apart, but a much smaller boulder still landed, hitting Hanzos Lycanroc head on. Dom and Lycanroc looked at eachother.

"Lycanroc......... YOU DID IT!" Dom cheered.

The two ran to each other and hugged, jumping up in down happily.

"Silence!" Hanzo yelled.

The two immediately stopped cheering.

"There is no cause for celebration, just yet. You've come quite far, you may be even to Use Splintered Stormshards by the end of the school year, but for now, I'll be holding on to your Lycanium-Z. For now, if you want, you may wear your Z-Power Ring as you please. But hear this, you are only allowed to use Continental crush, ONCE a week, outside of training, do you understand?" Hanzo said.

"Right." Dom said, a bit disappointing.

Hanzo noticed the twinge of sadness in Doms tone, "Don't worry kid, we all start somewhere. There was even a time once when I couldn't get it down."

"You can use Splintered Stormshards?!! Show me it, please Mr. Hanzo!" Dom pleaded.

Lycanroc seemed to have the same sentiment, they really wanted to see it, and Hanzo gave in.

"Fine, c'mon Lycanroc, lets do it." Hanzo said to his Lycanroc.

Hanzo and his Lycanroc got in place, and began the pose.

"The earths crust shatters into a billion shards, and from that comes anew, creation! Splintered Stormshards." Hanzo said.

The earth below rose and Hanzos Lycanroc let out a piercing howl. The shards of the earth from the rose into the sky, and came crashing down, one nearly hit Dom in the face but barely missed him. Though he was unfazed, still frozen in amazement. Hanzo sent him back to the dorm as the clock hit 1 am.

"Man, I actually feel kinda excited to be here now." Dom said as he walked upon the Dorm building.

Dom recalled Lycanroc to its pokeball and looked up at the window he left open, and jumped back up using the ledges on the wall. He climbed back into bed, and slowly drifted off to sleep

”Not a raindrop in sight.” June muttered these words to no one in particular, simply admiring the night’s stark difference to those that she would have experienced back home. It was nice. The air was practically still, and even in her light uniform, June did not feel particularly chilly. Her Durant, who she observed in the soft moonlight, seemed to be content as well. She suddenly realised that there weren’t actually any lamps around; moonlight really was the only form of illumination. Perhaps the rumors about the Academy not favoring electricity were true.

After a while of unpurposeful wandering, June finally decided that she wanted to see the arena—after all, it was a place she was bound to be spending a lot of time in. Durant gave no opposition to the idea, so they made their way through the forest to find it. They didn’t have to go far, however, before the faint sounds of battle could be heard. “What?” June exclaimed incredulously. “At this time of day? On the first day of the year?” She was thoroughly curious now, though, and began making her way towards the sounds quicker.

The looming figure of the arena without its radiant glint or the sounds of a crowd was jarring. June instinctively began to slow to a creep as she approached the wide entrance, before peeking inside. There were two trainers as well as a midnight Lycanroc and an Accelgor engaged in what seemed to be a game of keep away. The attackers were the Lycanroc and its trainer, a boy who June immediately recognized from the dining hall. The defenders were the Accelgor and its trainer, who looked to be a teacher. Durant began to scuttle through the entrance, but June stopped her. She felt that the two would not want to be interrupted, and that whatever they were doing was in some way important.

It was past midnight when June decided to go back and get some sleep. She had seen some spectacular things at the arena, and resolved to find the boy she had seen the next day. He seemed to be an interesting fellow, and a formidable battler to boot.

DAY 1

The loud bongs of a clock echoed throughout the entire island. An impressive feat that could only be pulled off by an island like Kyogre Lake, followed by repeating words. "Attention, students. The opening ceremony is going to begin in approximate one hour. Please change into your school uniforms and go to the courtyard." The voice sounded old and raspy, likely the Headmaster's.

Jack's eyes fluttered open. He definitely wasn't dreaming. This was definitely his dorm room at Kyogre Lake Academy. He started to smile to himself as he got out of bed, starting to change into his school uniform. Today was the day classes began. He hoped he would get some classes with Emma, but he would still settle for having some with his other friends. And even though his roommate is eccentric, he'll get used to it. Yeah...he was going to have a good year.

A small toxel followed by a ribombee begin to walk up and down the entirety of the building where the dorms were and decided to knock on a few of them, as if theh were looking for something... or someone. The first room they approached was room 103. The toxel used his small fist and began to bang as hard as he could on the door, but it made a rather quiet knock, while a ribombee held up a crudely drawn picture of what looked like a typical school delinquent with a purple and red heart on both sides of the drawing.

The sun rised on kyogre lake acadamy. The first day of the school year. By the time the morning announcement rang across the island. Charlie was already up and getting her uniform on. Checking in the mirror. Still somewhat embarrassed from the pencil skirt she was wearing... knock.....knock a light thumk hit the door to her dorm, Charlie turned her head towards it with a strange look on her face. She made her way to the door. Hesitant to open it for some reason.
Charlie opened the door and to her absolute surprise it was not a person. But a pokemon, two even! Charlie did a double take and then wiped her eyes once she realized the tiny ribombee was holding up a drawing "is.....is that......that one guy sleeping in the dining hall? Is he still in there" somehow She could make out who it was on the chicken scratch looked to drawn by a baby. Which she thinks it was given the toxel stood below her "are you looking for him?" Charlie asked the two cutesy pokemon.

“Whosa— whatzit— hah?” A half-asleep Reese sprung into a froglike position on a hair trigger as soon as the clock tolled. She shook her head, wild bed hair springing out in all directions, and she absentmindedly tugged at it. Eventually she gave up on using her fingers and dug in her duffel for the hairbrush she’d packed, and yanked through the bright-green-streaked tangles.

Reese cast a furtive glance over too her male roommate, then pulled out her slightly rumpled uniform from where she’d stuffed it in her bag the previous night. She burrowed under the covers and began to change clothes, only visible as a writhing lump from the outside. The girl popped out from between the covers, fully changed minus the tie, and hair crazily spiked again. Frustrated, Reese pulled the brush through her hair again until it was its usual slightly-wavy smoothness.

Remembering her difficulty from last night, Reese held the tie up at eye level, as confused as the last time she tried to tie it. It kind of mattered today, because opening ceremony, first impressions, la la la. She chewed her lip as she attempted several different knot configurations, including but not limited to: a slip knot, a sailor’s knot, several other boy-scout-esque ties, and essentially a ninja headband (though Reese was preeety sure that one wasn’t it). Finally she settled on something that seemed… almost right, with the conclusion that it was as good as it was gonna get.

Reese rubbed her eyes, gave a luxurious yawn, and hopped off the bed. She threw open the window curtains, bathing the room in early-morning light. “Helloooo sun!” she said brightly, pressing her face to the glass. She put a foot on the sill, in prime jumping position. “Now how does this thing open…”

(OOC: i lied im posting now who needs sleep anyway lmao)

"Good morning, Reese." Jack told his roommate as he was finishing his final preparations for the morning. "I hope whatever they announced us for isn't an opening ceremony or anything...because I'm less than prepared for that." He chuckled, before looking at what she was actually trying to do. "Oh, have you tried lifting the bottom?"

Jason had gotten to bed after he got done with dinner, and had been sleeping, but he had woken up two hours early out of habit. He had prepared his Pokémon, and his uniform. He was taking the time to train Metagross in using Meteor Mash a bit faster, with Empoleon as his opponent as he was the most resistant to it. When he heard the announcement, it had been about two hours of training that his team had done for those two, he planned to use Either Lurantis or Aerodactyl for Battling classes. When he arrived to the dorms, he got ready for the day after using the Pokémon Center for the two he was training. He then went to change, and finished, waiting at the lobby, with his Scrafty at his feet, which he only reached Jason's midsection.

Emma had woken up about three hours before the announcement, after a harrowing nightmare of reliving what happened to Wooloo. She had gone down to the bathrooms to take a shower and clear up her head before changing, when she got changed she opened Raboot's Pokéball, and told him to go to the lobby as she then prepared her other Pokémon, such as her starter Dusclops, or Volcarona. She was feeling hopeful that she may catch something new. At that point, she then waited for her roommate or any of her new friends, like Jack, to wake up and such, in the hall, with Raboot.

Laura had woken up normally and on time, she didn't train early, like Jason, or had nightmares, like Emma. She gathered her stuff and Fomantis's pokeball opened, along with Cacnea's.

"Hello, you two, want to watch my stuff?"

The two nodded as she went to get changed. She was in the shower, as she finished, Fomantis popped in with a towel as she got dressed, and told Cacnea to get Greninja. Greninja got to work, knowing his trainer needed her hair braided or it might get in the way. When Greninja was done, she then prepared for what was next, seeing a Toxel and a Shiny Ribombee. Greninja was confused, as Fomantis was running up to the Toxel and Cacnea was held back by Greninja. Laura was as confused as her Greninja.

James had woken up somewhat early, as he would occasionally join Jason's Training plans for survivability in the Battle portion of contests. He did not today as today was important, he did not release a Pokémon into his dorm, his were pretty big, or aquatic, in the case of Kingdra, or would get lost, like Fomantis. He went to get changed into his uniform and waited afterwards as he passed Jason and his Scrafty when he got downstairs.

"Hello, Jason, how was training?"

"Good, Metagross's Meteor Mash is improving."

"That's good."

As Dom opened his eyes, his body felt… heavy. And so did his eyelids. He slowly sat up and stretched his arms out. Surely enough, Emma was already gone, even his own Pokémon were waiting for him to wake up.

“Right everyone… into your pokeballs.” Dom yawned.

He walked out and too the bathrooms where he brushed his teeth and got ready for the day, and then promptly went back to the room to change into his uniform. As he was changing, he looked and saw the Z-Power ring with the Rockium Z. He hesitated at first, but then Lycanroc pokeball nudged him from his belt.

“Right. Things are different now.” Dom said, putting on his Z-Power ring.

Dom walked out of his room again, but this time, there were two Pokémon sitting outside the room next to his, and he turned over to see Charlie as well.

“Oh, Good morning Charlie. Are these your Pokémon?” Dom asked.

The announcement of the ceremony entered Del's dream like an alarm clock going off. "The cer-" he jerked up too quick and slammed his head into the bottom of the table. "Argh! Stupid cielings always... cieling? This ain't a cieling." He crawled out from under the table. "This ain't even my room! Did I party too hard or what? And...." He looked at his reflection in a window nearby. "ARGH, MY HAIR, you gotta be kiddin' me! Looks like somebody rubbed a balloon against my hair, but surely it was just because I hit my head." He whipped out a small comb he'd always kept in his back pocket and carefully combed toward the center on both sides to fix his classic look. After fixing his hair rubbing his head a bit and hoping it wouldn't swell, he remembered, which isn't unusual as he usually remembers stuff when he hits his head. "Arith! Vars! I totally forgot I'd told them I'd be back after I grabbed dinner. I hope I didn't worry then sick." He took off back towards his room. "The opening ceremon-" but he didn't have time to listen to the receptionist. He practically kicked in the door to room 99 and began rummaging through his things only to find 2 open pokeballs. This wasn't funny anymore. Why was his hair such a mess? Why was he asleep under a table? And especially where were Arith and Vars?

The two pokemon standing before charlie started to make noises. The pink ribombee tapped the drawing repeatedly "I guess you are looking for him. Surelyyou two can't be his pokemon right? I mean look at you" she gave a nervous chuckle to the pokemon, Arith stuck out its tongue with a dopey face. Through the corner of her eye she noticed Dominic exiting his own dorm. And the greninja that if she recalled correctly belonged to Emma's sister, Laura was it? "o-h g'mornin Dom. These guys... I think they may belong to that thug looking guy that you almost resuscitated last night at dinner. " she joked, but was still confused "well I guess I'll help you guys look for him. I might know where he could be" Charlie scratched her head. Del's two pokemon perked up and chirped with excitement.

Charlie began to walk around the building with Arith and Vars. They checked the dorms on the third floor, the dining room. No luck "hmm he was here last night...you think he woke up and went somewhere else" Charlie looked under the table where she noticed a couple strands of orangeish-brown hair "did....did he sleep under the table?!" Charlie was more confused than before she began searching. Eventually she made her way to the 1st floor before a though hit her "wait... he was in room 99 right, because of that key, is that down here?" Charlie thought outloud, the two pokemon accompanying her sounded in agreement. Charlie noticed an open door away from the others on the 1st floor. And could here what sounded like yelling, she walked up and stood in front of it. Seeing a frantic Del "h-hello?" Vars and Arith standing behind Charlie.

Having heard the announcement, Alex begrudgingly got of bed and started getting ready with the help of his Pokemon. Small details like taming his gray and white hair and putting on base layers he usually took care of himself, but this morning Gwen decided she'd help a bit more than usual. "Ugh, I hate formal wear!" Alex's problem wasn't so much with the look of the uniform, but the feel of it. To him, it was quite restrictive in movement so he left the jacket unbuttoned and tied his hair back before leaving the room. As soon as Alex opened the door, he unleashed a barrage of clicks as he "scanned" the hallway with dead eyes.

“Yup yup,” Reese said brightly, fiddling with a latch she located at the bottom of the window. She heaved it upward, and was hit full in the face with a blast of cool morning air. She stuck her face out the window with a massive grin splitting her features, then promptly leaped out of the third-floor window with a happy-go-lucky “Woohoo!”. She only fell for a few feet though, as her partner rose from a flash of green light to meet her, and she landed on his shoulder with a metallic clang. The girl nearly slipped off the curved plate of Rocket’s shoulder, and scrambled for purchase as she regained her balance.

Once she was settled, Reese threw her other two Pokeballs in the air, releasing Rune and Riot to the sky. “Sorry to keep you guys cooped up like that all night,” she apologized. “Hope you didn’t mind too much— might become a normal thing.” Then she tilted her head back to look up through the window she’d jumped from, blinking at Jack. “The announcement did say the courtyard, right?” she called. “I think this is faster cuz I’m outside already… and even if it’s not, it’s more fun!” But where is the courtyard? That’s the real question, haha…

Thomas slept soundly in his bed in dorm room 107, dinner went by much faster than he thought... too fast in his opinion. His peaceful slumber was interrupted by the deafening gong of a bell that seemed to echo across the island, Thomas got up and covered his ears, clearly he didn't enjoy the sudden loud noise. When he heard the announcement, he groaned and reluctantly got out of bed, took his uniform with him to the bathroom and went to get changed, he looked in the mirror to make sure he looked nice and got out a comb to make his hair look nice.

Once he was prepared, he grabbed his Poke balls and walked out of his dorm room to find the courtyard, hopefully he might have a better chance of socializing there before the big speech.
