Clones can help, but since they are copies if they touch with their skin or limbs then it’s game over

I never even thought of using a tool like a stick, though I did think of using kunai to push the hostage, though that would've killed them so yeah. Anyways, I thought using jutsu would be an obvious way to win, and I guess it worked perfectly fine, my OC's didn't even have to move save for their hands.

Most don’t exactky bring in sticks from the outside into the exam room so that won’t be a problem lol.

I mean, you could just walk out of the room and grab a stick. Or like, if you have a pole-type weapon you could use it like a stick.

Walking out of the room would count as forfeiting, and any tool you brought in there is fair game, although most ninja only bring sharp objects, so they’d have to get crafty

Yes that would be correct, and technically including the chair, but other than that it’s fair game.

So, could Kyu's character see anything else change once the byakugon was activated? Particularly with the person in the bag?

The byakugan couldn’t see past the wall and could see that the genjustu was doing something to the inside of the room, schewing most thing from sight. Everything in the room was practically unaffected by the byakugan aside that the floor had something special done to it by the genjustu.

What about the bag? How dark is it? If there was light placed right next to it, would the hostage be able to see through it

The bag is multi layered, and pitch black. The hostage also cannot see through it to see what’s happening since it’s thick, amongst other possible things to what might be under it

I'm not going to lie... it felt really good using Ninjutsu XD though I'll only be doing B-Rank at max so don't worry, and it's only gonna be like... a couple

So anything else can touch the hostage, just not the character himself or anything connecting to them?

no, anything connecting is fine, not clones or yourself though

Basically yeah. And shadow clones are very limited in how they touch. And as Ibiki said before the doors closed, the hostage is valuable and non lethal means need to be taken

I'm pretty sure the clone would phase through like with the droplets, also you can't touch even with clones

On the contrary, advanced versions of the basic clone jutsu such as shadow clones have shown the capability to attack as long as they dont take a heavy hit.
