Eh, you're definitely free to plan your own backstories filled with Puppies and Unicorns, where the rainbow sets over the horizon ending in a Leprechaun's pot of gold, and we'll even help you. Yasu, at least, belongs to the light side.

I wanted us to sit still for a while and just do nothing besides character interaction like Bathing or something, but we ended up jumping to the next arc. Reaver's about to get hitched and will (maybe) become less dark, Kai is a Yandere, and all of Shen's characters are supposed to be evil, but they're out her adopting orphans and donating charity to the poor and generally outperforming your standard goody-two-shoes.

you're a cinnamon roll, your character is out befriending his long-lost Uchiha brethren who's been scorned by the world. Raiku's generally pretty nice.

She has stolen a scroll and has acted on criminal self interest, but it's just Kiro kinda stole her thunder in a major way with his stuff.

If she's dark and the darkest things she's done is petty theft and acting on self-interest, then Sagisō, Kai, Reaver, Hinagiku, and even Kakashi are going straight to hell for unspeakably dark crimes they've committed.

For that matter, the beacon of righteousness and light, Uzumaki Naruto himself would be a heinously dark person, he's committed way more petty crimes and acts of self-interest than Azumi has.

Madoka and Kenji are beancakes, Kenji, in particular, risks his life babysitting the little sister of the girl who kicked the shit out of him literally a week ago and then left him unconscious on the forest floor.

I find no other way to explain this than he's an excessively good person. :T

Taiyo is pretty good, I'm waiting for a filler arc so he can babysit his little sister while taking her on a mostly small, non life threatening mission.
Tsuki is sort of naive, she did loose her parents but still she s lived a pretty good life.
Seiun probably became the Mask already since he has Tsuki's respect, Hama's guidance and even Kai's tolerance.
