    Good Day~ I have a question about 'OVA Threads'; referring to a thread created to address content that would not have been addressed in the Main Rp, such as content that might have occurred during a time skip, or a holiday special that would break the pacing of the main thread. Are such threads allowed?

    hey uh quick question, do you have to have an explanation for if your RP character has a dynamax band?

    It's not something you need to ask special permission for, but keep in mind that RP characters need to make sense within their context and canonically, Dynamax Bands do not fall from the sky. Sort of.

    ... I mean, the wishing stars they're made of do obviously, but the actual bands themselves appear to be reserved for endorsed gym challengers and what have you - not necessarily ones that even got particularly far in the challenge that particular league season, but still.

    So, I need to answer a question for someone and I would like to make a thread for it here to get some individuals to help me in this question. I don't know where to put it though. It's "Which Starter Pokemon (including Partner Pikachu and Partner Eevee) Will Win a Battle Royale?" They can't have Hidden Abilities and they have to use their Level-Up moves, and they have to be the last evolution of the Starter Pokemon.

    They're not entirely against the rules - closed RPs are absolutely a thing! - but we've had some people attempt to solicit 1x1 RPs for purposes that would be against our rules, so that might invite some scrutiny.

    Hey, I have a question. I'm thinking about making a roleplay with the idea of Saw - that being a bunch of traps that can potentially kill people. If I make one of the rules be that you can't go too into detail on gore, would that be acceptable?

    The rules do not explicitly disallow that sort of thing, however keep in mind the "Violence in RP" provisions in the RP forum rules - and keep in mind that this sort of thing will likely not really generate a lot of interest here.

    I'm not sure if its something that would fall under the rules, but I thought it would be a good idea to ask. I'm making an RP of a region filled with solely fakemon. So, I was wondering if it would be ok if I write in an encounter with the fake legendary. Like I say, I'm not sure if its something that falls under the rules, but thanks anyway.

    It is something that falls under the rules, actually. See the section about "Fan-Made Pokémon, Crossbreeds, Pokémon with Unique Qualities, etc."

    Essentially, fanmade legendaries are to be treated exactly like regular legendaries, only you'd have to explain the creature, its lore etc and not just the reason for the encounter when requesting permission.

    Hey, I'd like to apologise about my PRP - 'A Journey Throughout!'. I did read the rules, I guess I might've just misinterpreted what some things meant. I figured that if the RP was for just myself, my friends, and friends of friends, that I wouldn't need to ask an Administrator for permission to have things like Battle Bond, or Mega Evolution.

    I couldn't pm you so I figured I'd ask you here. In regards to the warning. I did see the rules in regards to image usage. It didn't seem to prohibit the use of images for example use. The rules in picture usage seemed to focus around character OCs. I posted that picture of Todd Snap so the people there would know who I was referencing to.

    I'm perfectly fine so far. At this point I'm pretty sure the entire world's health authorities issued mandatory self-isolation/social distancing guidelines and where I live is no different - but seeing as I already work from home and don't really go out all that often it hasn't really affected my life as much as it could have. XD

    What kind of powers? In what context? What are you even aiming at?

    Also, the word you're looking for is allowed. Allowed =/= Aloud. Aloud means 'out loud'. Allowed means 'permitted'. Just for the record.

    I have been in RPs where humans get turned into Pokemon and there are more where, in General RP, the characters get experimented on and whatnot.

    It's up to the RP creator what additional limitations they want to add. If it's in Pokemon, your character can't be on par with or be a Legendary or a Mega Pokemon. In any RP, your powers can't godmode or auto anyone's characters.

    That's what I usually see though.

    Neither of them are what you'd call absolute favourites, but I am rather fond of both of them - 'Magius is fun to write and Kartana is kind of adorable in an alien origami samurai sort of way - and is definitely closer to what I'd really want from a Grass/Steel 'mon than Ferrothorn is.

Anyway, quick question, is it against the rules to have a character in a non-pokemon based Roleplay, (But the characters are based off of Pokémon, mine’s Gengar.) to be capable of something similar, but not exactly the same, to mega evolution?

    I mean if it's not actually a Gengar but something based on one, in a setting that isn't Pokemon... there shouldn't really be a problem. provided the transformation isn't a gateway for godmoding shenanigans, of course.

    RPs are a collaborative work by definition, and as any GM of any tabletop adventure will tell you, sometimes they will end up getting derailed, in which case the appropriate response is not to throw the toys out the pram and reboot (unless there's really no way to put it back on course).

    Written works are not meant as containers for images and images should not be put in written works. Trainer cards are not allowed on the Creative Corner unless you made them 100% from scratch using your own assets - our trainer card maker is a generator and we do not allow works made with such on the Corner. ^^

    Ahh, more questions. XD I know that having a trainer that beats a league with less than 6 Pokemon is bonkers as it is, is it against the rules? I know some of us try for realism, but I was just wondering if having a character that beat a League with less than 6 (maybe less than 4) is something that needs to be reported on.

    When I'm writing really long or heavily formatted posts, they sometimes come out in a weird, formal-looking font. I can fix it by selecting all and hitting the "Clear formatting" button, but then I have to go back and re-italicize emphasized words. Any way I can prevent it completely?
